ngl Bridgerton is SO fun to watch but at least half the reason it's so fun to watch is because it's just SO campy and ridiculously sensationalized and over-dramatic abt literally everything LMAO
Anyway! I'm still wanting to make a bridgerton/lotr au... still haven't fully settled on whether to make it Eothiriel + Farawyn ORRRR Celrond ORRR silm themed and by that I mean I'm suddenly wanting to do something like...
So lately i haven't stopped being able to think about if I made the "Family" was the feanorians, and one of the main ships is Haleth (who comes from a non-noble merchant family who made great military achievements but are relatively rejected by high society for being originally from common class) and Caranthir is the Fearnorian who falls in love with her 🥺 OR idk--IF the main "Family" featured in the story is the Finweans, then we could also feature Galadriel and Celeborn as one of the main ships, and Beren and Luthien could even make a guest appearance lol, like if I squish the timeline and there's actually all kinds of ships that i could sneak cameos in for.
Granted the kin slaying probably wouldn't have happened in this au or uh,,, awkward 😳😬
But still. Idk. What are y'all thoughts?!

Just thinking about Gondor, as usual, and how wild it is that the (supposedly minority!) population of Gondorians who speak Sindarin and/or know Quenya at the end of the Third Age is likely higher than the combined number of all Elves still remaining in Middle-earth who can speak either.
Tolkien's specific statement is that more Men speak Sindarin or know Quenya than Elves do either, but while this group of Men would encompass people like the Northern Dúnedain, Théoden, etc, the letter directly links this to Gondorian usage of Sindarin and Quenya. That does make sense given the extreme population disparities involved; the vast majority of the Men in question would pretty much have to come from Gondor. Certainly, the only place where we actually see widespread, casual, local Sindarin usage among Men is Minas Tirith (though we know the linguistic patterns of MT are also characteristic of Dol Amroth and likely throughout much of Belfalas).
In addition, Tolkien tried to make sense of the limited evolution of Gondorian Sindarin by saying it's an acquired polite language among Númenórean aristocratic elites and scholars. In the actual process of writing LOTR there were various explanations (in one draft Faramir explains that Westron is a Gondorian conlang invented for dealings with other peoples, for instance). But Tolkien's standard justification for Gondorian Sindarin being so recognizable soon settled on an idea that Gondorian Sindarin is a language of the elites taught to them in childhood and used as a courtesy or mark of high status rather than evolving naturally.
I've always found this explanation a bit odd given that in the main narrative of LOTR, the Gondorian groups we see using Sindarin in full sentences/conversations rather than for specific names like Mithrandir or isolated words are mainly Gondorian soldiers outside of leadership roles. Faramir's men in Ithilien switch to "another language of their own" that turns out to be Sindarin. In the streets of Minas Tirith, "many" random soldiers call out to each other in Sindarin to gossip about Pippin. The almost entirely Gondorian armies following Aragorn praise the hobbits in Sindarin and Quenya.
But if we take Tolkien's statement at face value, the implication is that Númenórean elites in Gondor (i.e. a small fraction of the overall Gondorian population) outnumber the combined populations of all Sindarin- or Quenya-speaking Elves remaining in Middle-earth.
Many Elves have left or died, yes, but we're still talking about the Elves of Rivendell and of Lothlórien and all the ones scattered throughout Lindon, combined. If they really are outnumbered by Gondor's ruling aristocracy alone, I think the usual estimates of Gondor's overall population must be far too low. Tolkien simply noted that the population of Minas Tirith and its fiefs (presumably referring to Lossarnach, Anórien etc), while declined from the past, must have still been "much greater" than the combined Elvish populations of Rivendell, Lothlórien, and Lindon. That's not even getting into the more outlying fiefs of Gondor like densely-populated Belfalas.
(Alternatively, you could fanwank that Sindarin/Quenya are more widely spoken in Gondor than this and thus the population disparities, while certainly present, are not quite so extreme as this suggests. But that interpretation does require ignoring explicit statements from Tolkien in a way that something like theorizing population based on vague canonical suggestions is typically going to avoid doing.)

denethor is said to have been greatly affected by finduilas’ death, right. and i know their marriage was a political one but i like to believe that they still loved each other. not in the ‘traditional sense’ i guess but they loved each other’s spirits, their souls. the duty (as they viewed it) to protect their people & the willpower to do it, they both shared. and so i think that more precious than love, they understood each other perfectly. as no one else could, or did. i can’t stop thinking about denethor’s grief at losing her. to love someone, and to have them understand you, but to lose them so abruptly… no wonder denethor became embittered by her death. i think he became sad too. closed-off. built even more walls around him, not wanting to be seen as vulnerable by anyone. but his anger, at what (or whom), exactly? he already broke up with god when he was young. at the universe? at his fate? to have lost her so unfairly.
i came here to talk about their love & somewhere in the middle lost myself in his grief lol. never mind, bc what is grief if not love persevering????? they loved each other. i can’t. i CAN’T get over this simple truth. the love was there. it wouldn’t have been this tragic if there’s wasn’t. the love was there. and isn’t that enough (it isn’t. but it is. IT IS). the love was there. THE LOVE WAS. THERE. sobbing. truly sobbing DON’T TOUCH ME

Aragorn wouldn't say that he's quick to become overpowered by fear. He is perhaps more vigilant than the average person - a trait that has saved many a life, including his own, and one that's very much necessary for the life he lives.
Even now, what he feels isn't exactly fear. Fear, true fear, is something he's only felt a handful of times in his life, each having left a lasting impression he'll never be able to forget. But... there's something about this place that's putting him on edge. Maybe it's best to say it's awakened a sense of paranoia in him... one that he's inclined to listen to, lest he and his companion be caught unawares.
"You look troubled." he directs his comment at Faramir, keeping his voice low, though not so much that he can't be heard at all. "And I must say, you're not the only one. How far are we from home, by now?"

Okay here to talk Eowyn and how the slights and disrespect she gets are more annoying than listening to Gollum talk to himself all day...
People who act like Aragorn dislikes/disdains her just because he doesn't return her romantic feelings are living in that incel mindset that women can only be admired as matrons or sexual objects. Aragorn the king of wholesome masculinity admires the heck out of Eowyn. Refers to her as the fairest thing in Rohan. He values her friendship and her place as a fundamental bullwark of her people.
People who act like she's somehow pathetic because she falls for someone who doesn't return her affection are not living in reality. They're lost in some Hollywood/porn centric view of romance where women are always sexually desired and if they aren't well then something is wrong with them. Faramir very clearly lays out what happened. She who had been treated rather like a utility in her household meets the last and greatest of the men of Numenor. Truly a man above all others. And of course she's bedazzled. Then there's the fact that he seems to truly see her (albeit on his side just platonic admiration and desire for friendship) and she matters and of course for someone who has been sidelined to tending to her aging uncle this draws her in. There's no fault on Aragorn but as any girl whose femininity and/or personhood has gone largely ignored will tell you it can be quite heady when someone actually notices you as a whole person, femininity included.
And finally her moment with the Witch-King being stolen from her like she did nothing. Ignores all these facts
1. Merry wouldn't have been there to stab him if not for her
2. It's very clearly a dual credit thing both in the passage and in the appendix footnotes
3. Nothing explicitly says that without Merry and his barrow-blade that she couldn't kill the witch-king. She's not a man while Merry is not a Man. The whole thing was based off of an elven prophecy which prophecies seldom are straightforward in their wording and don't even always come true (ask Treebeard) so there's nothing conclusive to say that her jamming a sword in his face wouldn't have done the trick with or without Merry. His role is certainly important because if nothing else prophecy or no he did distract the Witch-King with his blow allowing Eowyn to press an advantage but absolutely nothing there discredits her accomplishment in slaying the Witch-King of Angmar and people trying to act like Merry "made it easy for her" need to shove a barrow-blade where the sun don't shine
Small note here too. People who want to criticize her cooking are wrong in multiple aspects.
A. That's only in the films and a deleted scene at that.
B. It's sexist as hell to base a woman's merit off of her cooking skills. You go hamstring an oliphant and make a souffle then anonymous dudebro hating on Eowyn
C. If you think Eowyn's only accomplishments are "masculine" she does have a great talent with "feminine arts" as in she's a healer and gardener in Ithilien and by virtue of her spouse she's a freaking princess given Faramir is the Prince of Ithilien
So in conclusion if you want to diss Eowyn for any of the above mentioned off base arguments you can kiss Gollum's scrawny arse

Omg I'm like in love with ur blog rn 💕💕 I was wondering if you could do one where the reader comes from a culture that honors warriors and such (kinda like the dwarves)? And so the reader is basically very skilled with weaponry, fighting...etc
Thank you sm 💕
Thank you for your patience with this request – it was a lot of fun to write! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
・゚✧ Aragorn.
Having traveled a lot, Aragorn is familiar with your culture, though he has never been as close to someone from it as you. Seeing your famed warrior skills in person surprises him quite a bit – in a good way. He is enamored with the way you carry yourself and your weapons and, most importantly, how you lack a taste for cruelty and instead embrace mercy. He never gets tired of telling you that; it’s a value you both share.
・゚✧ Arwen.
Arwen has great respect for you, since she is familiar with your warrior culture through her noble schooling. That said, she is also quite determined to introduce you to the finer side of life – something that you were never comfortable with or had any experience in. After all, the folk back home frown upon elaborate gowns and indulgent balls – but Arwen doesn’t care about your clumsiness. She always has a big smile on her face when you practice dancing! ♡
・゚✧ Boromir.
Up until meeting you, Boromir has thought your people belonged to the realm of legends and children’s stories. Imagine his surprise when his rescue from the Orc attack came in the form of such a legendary warrior, dashing, loud and proud! To top it all off, you do not see the big deal of the affair and act very casual around the starstruck soldier. One smile is enough to make Boromir realise he has fallen for what he would’ve deemed a fairytale just one day ago!
・゚✧ Elrond.
Elrond deeply appreciates how dutiful and tidy you are. You two are much alike in that regard. The kind Elf values your time together. That is the reason he sometimes wishes you were his little secret – he is quite tired of the ‘scandal’ your presence in Rivendell is to some particularly insular individuals. Whenever someone would dare to even insinuate bigotry toward you, Elrond would be the first to defend you – rather ardently, too, having served in war himself: “Let us see how you speak of them after having your life saved in a bloody battle!”
・゚✧ Éomer.
Éomer may always say that he admires a fellow warrior – but the truth is, he first needs to come to terms with the fact that you are much more skilled and experienced than him. That is difficult for him precisely because he could very well imagine you as his romantic partner, but he knows that a relationship with such envy would be hard. The solution to his distress is hand-to-hand combat, which you never particularly cared for since it is not regarded as important in your culture. But dear Éomer is more than eager to practice with you!
・゚✧ Éowyn.
It is absolutely needless to say that Rohan’s Shieldmaiden would be head over heels for you – but anyway! Not only does Éowyn love how adamant and strong you are, she adores training and sparring together with you. Her enthusiasm for your warrior culture can be overwhelming at times. You sometimes need to remind her that you are more than that. For a change, Éowyn would then teach you the songs of Rohan or tries to cook with you!
・゚✧ Faramir.
Faramir adores you a lot. He would offer to be your squire and tend to your weapons, your armour, as well as your wounds after a fight. He would always make sure you never lost that spark in your eyes – he loves it too much! And while he is a very skilled archer and captain himself, he would never miss an opportunity to announce you to his enemies or bullies. He would also defend you ardently against anyone who criticises your perceived ‘lack of culture’ and give them an entire lecture of your people’s history and customs.
・゚✧ Frodo.
Frodo would’ve never known you were real. He has read about your people in his books and even imagined himself as such a warrior when he was a child. To meet you in person delights him to no end – he has a bit of a celebrity crush on you! However, with his attention so sharp, Frodo wouldn’t fail to notice your distress in social interactions. But luckily, being both a gentleman and social butterfly, he can help you with that – maybe in turn for a show with your knives?
・゚✧ Galadriel.
Galadriel has understood that you were the perfect bodyguard for her very early on. Other Elves may frown upon that – a warrior brute, without any regard for royal protocol or knowledge of Elven culture? So close to the Lady of Light, all day and night? But Galadriel doesn’t care a bit. She delights in the stories you tell her and even shows an interest in your swords, though a sorceress as powerful as her would never need one herself. She never treats you disrespectfully and values your opinion.
・゚✧ Gandalf.
Gandalf cares very little for your culture’s glorification of warfare and honour. He’s seen the negative fallout of such extremes and is thus wary around you at first. Once he understood that you had a sense of humour though, he’d tease you quietly or give a flippant comment about one of your culture’s idiosyncrasies. It’d all be in good faith – Gandalf knows of the importance of self-defense, for example. Still, he much prefers just drinking a cup of tea with you ♡
・゚✧ Gimli.
You could bond almost instantly with Gimli. You two speak the same language. There is, of course, an element of rivalry – especially when it comes to axes. That said, Gimli would absolutely fall head over heels for you after seeing just how skillfully and lightly you could handle hatchets and axes alike. Maybe you’d even “show him how it’s done” and then nonchalantly lean against the weapon, giving him a smirk – he’d melt on the spot!
・゚✧ Haldir.
Haldir would, as always, pretend very hard that he doesn’t care at all for your weapon skills, stealth and sense of duty, and instead even show great disgust for your perceived lack of etiquette and politeness. But the truth is that you are the most intriguing and alluring creature he has ever met! He has always aspired to your level of conscientiousness and combat skills. He’d never say that, of course… but he might just challenge you to a duel and see how it goes – fully aware he would never stand a chance against you!
・゚✧ Legolas.
Legolas definitely has a thing for warrior types like you. He delights in your strength, skills and sense of duty. After all, he himself is an enthusiastic archer and wants to learn as much as he can from you. That said, he also teaches you some much needed levity – not every social interaction is a battle! Observing you amuses him a whole lot, but his smirk is never cruel. He is also the perfect partner to help you unwind after a stressful day of etiquette and polite smiles – he just gets you!
・゚✧ Merry.
Merry is a big fan of warriors. He yearns for your respect and affection – so much so that he’d greatly exaggerate his own combat skills to you, thinking he’d need to be just as martial as you to deserve your love. That is of course not the case, though you appreciate the effort he goes through. You would bond over combat training and philosophy alike. Merry is quick and eager to learn as much about your culture as possible.
・゚✧ Pippin.
Pippin doesn’t know about the prejudice the old Hobbits have towards your people and thus treats you very differently than the others. He’d ask questions about war and honour that many would deem inappropriate. Even you yourself have to admit he is sometimes a bit overly eager. That said, Pippin would just as merrily introduce you to Hobbit customs, food and history. He’d also make a big point of the Tooks being “perhaps the most warrior-like Hobbits there ever were, honestly”, with an important look on his face, before breaking into laughter upon seeing you smile.
・゚✧ Sam.
Sam leaves all the fighting stuff to you. He may dutifully separate the warrior and Hobbit cultures, but he really loves the dynamic you two share. He never shuts up about how proud your people must be of you, back home, seeing just how amazing of a fighter you are – sometimes that just means shooting an arrow to get a particularly red apple from a tree. To you, it’s a simple game, but Sam always kisses your cheek with great gratitude afterwards ♡

hi! if I may, a request where the reader comes out to the Fellowship (and Faramir?) as non-binary/trans? just curious how each of them would handle the concept, since it's definitely not something we see portrayed much, canon or otherwise c:
Coming out to the fellowship as trans/non-binary (+Faramir)
Aragorn:
-A very respectful man
-Will ask your pronouns, name, whatever
-I think he might not understand it
-But he has the mindset of “I don’t speak dwarvish but I know it’s still a language” so he respects you even if he is a little confused
-Will make a point to learn though
-He never wants to remain ignorant and will make sure you know to correct him if he says anything insensitive or incorrect
Legolas:
-I was thinking about how elves would react to things like this and I’ll be honest, I don’t think they really know about it
-Like yes they are old and very wise, but they often are kinda sheltered
-So you can best believe Legolas has a lot of questions
-I think him and Frodo are very similar in their love of learning about other cultures and races, and this extends to sexuality and identity
-Elves can be kinda blunt though so expect some equally as blunt questions
-You might have to explain that this doesn’t mean you can just change your biology like a clownfish
-That would be awesome though
Gimli:
-I picture dwarves as being some of the most accepting of the races; unless you are an elf
-If you are an elf he will respect your identity but still won’t like you (initially) because you’re an elf
-I imagine him making fun of you but you correct him on your pronouns and he apologizes then continues while now using the correct pronouns
Boromir:
-It makes me sad that I can imagine some people thinking he would be against it
-Because he’s not
-He is such a lover of people and will be totally fine with whatever people identify as
-If you are trans he will make a point to call you his brother/sister whenever possible to show his support
-The biggest ally and no one can convince me otherwise
Frodo:
-So curious and fully accepting
-He is totally chill about it but will ask questions and want to know your whole story, even if there isn’t really one
-He loves you no matter what and will not stand for anyone saying anything but nice things about you
Sam:
-Possibly has a hard time
-He does his best to be supportive
-But he’s confused
-“If not boy or girl what is there??”
-But he’s so sweet about it you know he doesn’t mean it in an offensive way
-He just has a pretty black and white view of the world sometimes
-But will also very sternly and protectively correct people if they call you the wrong thing; he puts up with no bullshit
Merry:
-“Alright cool, anyway….” And just continues his prank plan
-Will make sure he knows your pronouns and what you wish to be called and referred to as but kinda leaves it as that
-I don’t think this sort of this is a new concept to him
-I imagine him being raised with the same way I was in regards to LGBTQ+ where it was just kinda there and was never taught as good or bad
-Like it just is a part of humanity and if you are LGBTQ+ then great and if you’re not, also great
-Will correct people if the call you the wrong thing but in a subtle way
Pippin:
-Facinated
-May ask possibly intrusive questions
-But he’s just very interested and doesn’t mean to be rude
-He just has no filter you know?
Gandalf:
-Says some poetic shit about being your true self and moves on
-Probably already knew somehow
*Bonus Faramir:
-Unlike his brother, I think he is a bit confused
-I think he is so caught up in trying to fit into a certain mold because of his father that he forgets there is more to life sometimes
-I mean that in the nicest way; I love this sweet gentle man
-But he’s a bit sheltered
-Will go to his brother to ask questions because he’s shy

I've started watching bridgerton again AND,,, I'm so tempted to make a bridgerton LOTR au fan comic! omg
Note, i've decided this comic would be Eothiriel (Éomer x Lothíriel) and Farawyn (Eowyn x Faramir) themed, so taking place shortly after a regency version of the war of the ring. Since it's a bridgerton au, this story would take place in a Regency Era Middle Earth (so, Not England, but heavily based off Regency England i suppose??)
Anyway!! Vote if I should make this comic!
Some old-ish Regency Eothiriel fanart of mine to spark some inspiration ;)
Tumblr media
I start watching Bridgerton again for FIVE MINUTES and already I CAN'T STOP PLANNING A BRIDGERTON X LOTR AU
Tumblr media
but the question is do i have it centered around celrond/silm???? Or an Eothiriel and Farawyn lotr au???????

hi! i read through some of your posts about the stewards and was so happily surprised to learn that tolkien might've had some egyptian & byzantine culture inspiration for gondor?? the peter jackson movies' portrayal of gondor never did it for me, but i'm not a particularly creative person so all my efforts to conjure up a version of faramir & gondor that felt *real* were kind of half-hearted. (random confession but i've been putting off reading the silmarillion for this reason: i can mentally take all the beautiful fanart of dark-haired characters and store them in my faramir collection, which i won't be able to do once i actually recognize those people lol).
but knowing what i know now, it feels like i've taken off the blinders to a wider range of possibilities. it may not be accurate to tolkien's version (sue me, jackson did it) but it got me thinking about korean traditional clothing and sangtu (a topknot style where men usually kept their long hair up). like imagine a faramir who usually has a sangtu and wears dark hanbok, leaving his hair long and streaming during his stay at the house of healing!! also some of the most iconic korean stories are about conflict between father and son, the weight of duty versus ideals, etc. so it just fits in so well.
anyways incoherent rant aside, i'm really delighted at the idea of getting inspiration from different cultures outside of vague european medieval imagery. just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful posts & analysis for sharing this info and helping me out!!
Oh, no problem! Haha, I used to also collect dark-haired art of characters I didn't know for my Tolkien faves, so that was adorable to hear about someone else doing. I hadn't thought about using Silm characters for fun headcanon purposes, but the temptation is pretty real tbh, especially given that Silm characters with virtually no description get more book Faramir-accurate art than Faramir himself does, lol (beardless pretty men with long black hair are everywhere in Silm art, and yet my fave who definitely looks like that— /waves cane at clouds).
But yeah, Tolkien very definitely had Egyptian, Byzantine, and Roman and other Italian influences in mind for Gondor in particular. So even for those who are set on ~Tolkien's vision~, he was specifically very annoyed at the idea of Gondor being seen as at all northern European or that northern Europe is somehow the source of all heroism in Middle-earth or in any way sacred when a) Morgoth was rooted in the north, b) the happy ending of LOTR centers the new political order in the south, and c) IRL Tolkien particularly loved Latin and Spanish.
But that aside, I love the idea of also going a step beyond Vague Medieval Europe Aesthetics Forever in lots of other directions, and that version of Gondor and Faramir seems really apropos to the scenes and themes surrounding them. I especially love the idea of him wearing a princely hanbok and his hair appropriately up in all of his scenes as he navigates drama around his people and his family, until the time comes for Dramatically Streaming Hair in the Houses of Healing with Éowyn.
(Years ago, I had a lot of fun thinking about a sort of cdrama version of Gondor's history, but I think your idea is better :D)

SFW Alphabet: Faramir
Template
Tumblr media
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Faramir tends to be a bit bashful when providing affection. He doesn't dislike it, but it can sometimes make him shy. He loves showering you with subtle but romantic forms of affection like giving you a flower he picked off the side of the trail or kissing/nuzzling your cheek.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Faramir would be a great best friend. He would do his best to make sure that you are respected (and will throw hands with anyone who dares insult you). He loves spending time with you and will plan his days around the two of you hanging out. Overall, he's very supportive and just wants you to feel happy and safe in the friendship you have with him.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Faramir really likes cuddling with you! His favorite way to cuddle is any position where he gets to burry his face into the crook of your neck. He also likes it when you rest on top of him and he gets to play with your hair or rub your back.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
He 100% wants to settle down, and he's really good at cooking and cleaning too. He taught himself these things pretty early on in his life, so you never have to worry if you require a helping hand!
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
If he ever had to break up with a S/O, Faramir would be really sad about it. Most likely the breakup is for the best, even if it is disappointing. He never wants to hurt the ones he loves, so tears would be shed during the actual breaking-up process. He would still stay close friends with you though.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
Faramir is committed and is ready to marry you whenever you're ready to get married. He is content with being patient if you'd rather wait, but he wouldn't have a problem with getting married quickly, especially after an engagement.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Physically he's very gentle. Whenever he touches you, you almost don't feel it because his touch is feather-light. Emotionally he's gentle too: his eyes hold the deepest affection for you, and he's not one to raise his voice toward you, like, ever. If he does raise his voice, it's to defend you or someone else.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
He loves them! He especially likes it when he can burry his face into the top of your head and breathe in the sweet smell of your freshly washed hair or more casual hugs where he gets to press a kiss to your temple.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
He says it pretty fast, but it takes him a bit longer than he would have liked to build up to the statement. He thinks that you are such a wonderful and beautiful person, which made him nervous to tell you. Also, he didn't want to ruin your friendship if you didn't feel the same way. So in short: he said it fast but thought went into the process of telling you.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
He doesn't get jealous to an extreme, because he knows that you are just as devoted to him as he is to you. When he does get jealous, he lets others know that your heart belongs to him alone (a sentiment that you agree with greatly). He's always there to defend you with words or sword if ever someone is making you uncomfortable as well.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
His kisses can range from deep and passionate to casual or playful depending on the situation and both of your moods. He likes to kiss you on the forehead and really likes kissing your jawline. Faramir likes to be kissed primarily on the mouth and on the top or palm of his hands.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He likes them! Because of his upbringing, he's always kind to them and listens intently when they speak. He would love to have some of his own someday!
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Mornings with Faramir are spent slowly. He likes to wake you up by gently rubbing your shoulder or back and then spending the next thirty minutes or so holding you close. When you two are in a hurry, you work together to make sure that you're both ready for the day so that you are on time for whatever tasks need to be completed.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
Nights are relaxing. In the evenings you two will go on walks together and then come home to eat dinner. Once you both have eaten, you two will wash up together and hop into bed to sleep.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
Faramir opens up slowly, which is part of the reason why it took him awhile to confess his true feelings to you. He carries a lot of insecurities with him because of the way his father treated him when he was younger, and it pains him to bring it up. However, he knows how patient you are, especially as he gets to know you, and your warmness allows him to open up more and more over time without fear of judgement.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
He's not easily angered and is really only angry if someone wrongs you.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
He remembers so much about you to the point that it's impressive. He has things like your favorite flower, what books you like to read, and the order in which you do certain activities memorized. He collects little details about you and keeps them in his heart and mind forever. It's a sort of love language for him.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
His favorite moment in your relationship is your first anniversary together. He loved knowing that your love for him ran deeper than the surface, and was excited to find that you wanted to spend more time with him after that first year as well. He looks back at that memory with fondness.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Like I said before, Faramir does not get angry unless someone hurts you. If someone were to hurt you with words or force, he would address it right away and make sure that that person never came near you again (if they hurt you on purpose. In situations where someone accidentally hurt you, he would be more patient and would try to find where/how the accident or miscommunication occurred.
Faramir likes it when you defend him with your words. He didn't have very many instances where people stood up for him (besides his brother) so it's nice when you speak up on his behalf.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
He puts in a lot of time, especially when he has the time to give. He loves setting up little things for you like a bath with candles or a picnic on the first day of spring. He's really particular about dates so he never misses your birthday or any other important calendar days.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
He can be very insecure with himself, which causes him to doubt.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
He's concerned to a certain extent. He always makes sure that he's clean and that he looks neat, but his looks are not something that get a lot of attention beyond that unless it's a special occasion.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Yes and No. Faramir was able to find out a lot about himself through you, but ultimately he knows that he is his own person and that he would be fine with or without a partner.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
He knows a lot about different things related to nature, specifically flowers. Plants provide him a lot of peace, and he can see his own strength in the branches of a tree or the stem of a flower.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
In general he doesn't like it when people put down others to make themselves feel better. It makes him uncomfortable and he always speaks up if he witnesses it.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
He feels the most comfortable sleeping on his stomach. If you're sleeping together, he will often wrap his arm around your waist as he rests. He also sleeps really deeply. Once he's asleep he's out for the count.

For the last month at least, Adrian has been plagued by a feeling that's been slowly consuming his life. It's possible the feeling existed even before then, but only now has he truly noticed it - and, like opening a floodgate set to burst, there's no going back now that he's become aware of it's presence.
It's not quite a sense of impending doom, but it certainly gives him enough anxiety that he considered the thought. No, it's more like a... weight, of sorts. A sense of not-quite responsibility, but graver than that, like there's something vitally important he needs to do that he can't quite place at all. And beneath that... lies a longing for something unidentifiable.
Adrian's seeing a psychiatrist in a week, so maybe he should just ignore it until then. It feels stupid, talking to a professional over what's really nothing more than a feeling, but aren't feelings exactly what drive people through life, in the end? If it is just anxiety, they should be able to do something about it.
Still, even knowing all this, when he runs into the man who should be a stranger, he's not prepared for how intensely that feeling would come rushing back. It urges him to talk to him, drawing him slowly but surely towards something still yet unseen.
"You can sit here, if you want. It looks like the rain will let up in a moment, but until then...?"
