If you have the time I would love an update on Passion for Fashion or on Mr Flavor your an amazing writer love your fics ❤️❤️
Danny wakes to another new mattress, this time accompanied by a machine beeping and another change of outfits. His back and left ribs have a dull ache, but otherwise, he feels fine.
He lays on the bed for a few minutes, noting the difference between the one Oscar had him sleep on and the kind in the cheap motel. It wasn't as firm as the ones in the motel, but it wasn't anywhere near as luxurious and soft as the one Oscar gifted his fairies. This was somewhere in between, which meant Danny was now in someone else's hands.
Cracking open his eyelids as thinly as possible, he carefully glances around, trying to discover what happened after passing out. Danny is pleasantly surprised to find himself in a hospital room with no one around. Not even a ghost.
It gives him enough courage to carefully examine his body. Phantom's healing factor may not be at full capacity, but it seems faster than a normal human's. He pats himself down, wincing in certain areas, but eventually, he deems it well enough to escape.
Without hesitation, Danny reaches up and snaps off the wires connecting him to various machines. He ignores the alarms that go off and the sound of rapid footsteps in the hallways while he limbs towards the window.
He can tell it's sturdy enough not to open for a regular human. Usually, that wouldn't have been a problem, but Phantom's powers were laying doormat, so he does the next best thing. He picks a chair and flings it as hard as possible at the window.
The door to his room is burst open by medical staff just as the chair bounces off the glass and lands with a thump. Danny stares at it for a few seconds. "Ah. I thought that would have at least put a crack in it."
"You're safe!" one of the nurses tells him, hands held up, palms facing Danny in an obvious sign of trying to earn his trust. "You're in Gotham Hospital. You were rescued a week ago and have been receiving treatment while locked in a coma."
Danny squints at her. "I'm pretty sure I wasn't rescued. I broke out myself."
Some medical staff shift uncomfortably on their feet before the same nurse steps closer, words even, soft and gentle, "You were fearless. You should be proud of-"
"Did they delete the footage of my secret formula?" Danny cuts her off, tilting his head. The question stops the woman short, looking unsure how to respond as the rest of the medical staff watch the exchange with pursed lips.
"I'm not sure-"
"Meh." Danny sighs, rolling his neck. He taps his fingers against his chin, considering the consequences of someone finding those videos.
On one hand, Danny will lose his main source of income, but on the other, it won't mean much. Cream sodas were the only drink in this world, but eventually, someone was bound to make the discovery.
It's not like he legally has a right to it, either. Danny hadn't applied for a patent for his soda, and he can't copyright a recipe. Really, the only thing he had going for him was his trademark that one guy who messed up his motel room got him, but even then, if the recipe thief changed the bottle designs, what was he to do?
Danny couldn't afford a house, much less a lawyer, with the money he earned from Mr. Flavor's Soda. He'll just have to keep moving and find out how to call back Phantom.
Rolling his neck to the other side, he flinches as it stiffens up, returning him to the present. Then, he notices the medical staff is slowly creeping closer, shifting in like they are alligators about to pounce on a meal.
Eyeing them and the open door—thankfully one of the big sliding doors, which meant the exit was so much wider—Danny gets an idea. He acts unaware of what they are doing, making sure to plant a ball of his feet to give him good leverage. He needs to push off as quickly as possible.
He places his thumb right under it while his pointer finger lays carefully under his lips. In a quick jerk to the side, Danny forces his neck to crack, using his hand as a turner. The sound that echoes through the room sounds like pasta being crunched. "I guess it's not too important. Not when I'm a ghost."
The lead nurse inhaled deeply before blowing a slow breath. "Why don't we get you back into bed? We need to check you over."
"I'm fine."
"We-"
"When can I leave?"
"That's-"
"Have you ever tasted a rainbow?"
"What-"
"It tastes like sugar and reality warping." The smile that stretches across his face is the same one he made at Sam while under Ember's love spell. It's the most innocent but eager expression he can make, which used to get him out of trouble back home.
In Gotham, it made everyone uneasy. The staff even stepped away from him instinctively, looking far more alarmed than when Danny popped his neck, and a few of them had flinched at the sound.
His smile stretched more. "Would you like to taste the rainbow?"
"I-um-that is." The woman spluttered, glancing around at her coworkers like she was sending S.O.S alarms with her eyes alone. "Why don't we-"
Danny rushed at her, laughter bubbling up in his chest as she scrambled back. One of the male nurses shot forward, intending to meet Danny halfway- his movement suggested some form of training. Military?- but that plan quickly derailed when Danny flipped himself over him.
His body flared with pain that he ignored in favor of dancing out of reach from the multiple hands that tried to grab hold of him. One of them managed to snag his hospital gown, but Danny had no problem thrashing about until it slid off- thank the mighty Ancients that he was wearing some boxers.
He had to slide before the legs of a nurse and flip over another before he could break into the hallway. The hallway was long and narrow, but it didn't seem connected to any visible exit. Danny had only a few split seconds to choose left or right before he went with his gut and twisted towards the right.
He was born right-handed, and before teaching himself to be ambidextrous, his right never let him down. He raced down it as fast as his aching body could take him, which was pretty good, seeing that he was outpacing a group of grown adults.
That male nurse was gaining, though. Danny could hear his footsteps approaching, and the man shouting, "Stop!" as he got uncomfortable near his back.
He will be able to reach Danny in a few seconds, especially since the aches in his body are rapidly turning into pain, slowing him down.
Another problem he didn't consider was the people in the hallway who- like idiots, really- didn't leap out of Danny's way. They just stood there gawking as they zoomed past them. He had to push a woman in cartoon theme scrubs into the wall, shouting an apology as he rounded the corner.
The new area he found himself in had more hospital employees who turned to see the commotion, but all Danny saw was the glass stairs leading downstairs to a seating area. There were groups of people that craned their necks up, visitors' passes tapped to their shirts. A woman speaks into a walkie-talkie, and suddenly, there are blaring alarms throughout the building.
Danny can identify a lockdown when he sees one. Without wasting a second, Danny runs at the railing and leaps.
A scream from one of the onlookers as he slams against the floor below, having the misfortune of landing on a low coffee table. It breaks under his hold, which is only an insult to injury, as he groans. The pain has now flared up to levels he hasn't felt in a long time as Phantom, but his ghostly side still refuses to show its head.
He is half considering lying there and allowing them to capture him when a burst of familiar ice encases his body. The medical staff that had surrounded his crumbled form leaped away with shouts of "Meta!".
Danny raised his hand and stared at the layer of ice in wonderment. His breathing came out in fast-paced huffs as he tried desperately to catch his breath. The ice numbs most of the pain, and it is like all his senses snap into place.
He leaps to his feet, laughing joyously as the rest of the people press themselves into the walls, trying to crawl away from him. Danny doesn't care because he feels like Phantom.
He feels like himself again! He wills his body to be unchained from gravity, throwing himself forward, ready to take flight and finally escape—only to land in a heap on the ground, the ice wrapping around his chest like a suit of armor cracking.
"Oh, come on!" He whines, pushing himself up. He flickers his eyes around the room, landing on a mirror at the desk where a young woman wearing a uniform is frozen in fright. Without a word, he snatches it up and checks his reflection.
It seemed that his ice had changed shape, going from a clutter of ice into a knockoff version of the Ghost Peeler—without the helmet—and his eyes were green, but that's it. He had no snow-white hair, no glowing fractures, and not even his eyes looked inhuman; they just looked like he was born with them.
If anything, it was like Danny was cosplaying.
He gently places the mirror back on the counter, takes a deep breath through his nose, and spins around. He walks right out of the hospital- he had to smash the glass with his ice-covered hand- without a hint of emotion on his face.
They all let him go, which Danny is thankful for since he makes it out of the parking lot before he screams of utter frustration, aggressively flinging his arms around and stomping his foot.
After a minute of throwing a very public, very loud temper tantrum, Danny allows the ice to melt off his body, leaving him dripping and only wearing boxers as he scurries away. He ignores all the looks thrown his way, grumbling under his breath about that stupid tribe that got him into this whole mess until he finally spots someone he knows.
It's one of those kids who initially gave him his name. His very first customer, in fact, was standing on his toes and picking into a shop, pressed against the glass display.
Danny walked right up behind him, clearing his throat. "Hey, do you know what part of Gotham we're in?"
" I wasn't doing anything!" The boy spins around defensively only to have his eyes wide dramatically when he takes in Danny's state. He wonders if it's the fact he's covered in some nasty bruises, in his underwear, or dripping wet from the neck below despite no rain that causes such an expression. "What in the world happen to you!?"
"Got kidnapped. Escaped. Got run over and survived. Got hospitalized. Escaped again," Danny lists, smiling his innocent smile again, hoping it will make the kid ask fewer questions. It does the job as the boy looks rightfully horrified. "Where are we?"
"Uptown Gotham," The boy stammers, shaking slightly.
"How far away is that from Old Gotham or Crime Alley?"
"Um, about four blocks that way is Old Gotham. Crime Alley is pretty far."
Danny knows that. He'd gone to Old Gotham for a while to speak to some of the ghosts- and of course, none of these buildings were haunted because that was just his luck. "Thanks. See you around!"
He strolls away, feeling some of his anger calm now that he knows where to go. After a few blocks, he sang his soda theme song again, tapping the beat into the sidewalk with his bare feet. At the entrance of Old Gotham, he even found a donation bin for people to drop off clothes, which he happily helps himself to.
It looks like the seventies threw up in here—or someone cleaned out a long overdue closet—but Danny eventually found a pair of bell-bottom flower-printed jeans that fit and a large fake fur coat he could throw onto himself. The shirts smelled weird and were too small for him, but he found a purple velvet feathered hat that he thought would distract him from being topless.
After placing it on his head, Danny started scatting his theme song, feeling oddly peppy. Now that he was no longer frustrated, he realized how good it was that his ice had appeared.
Sure, his eyes weren't glowing, but the fact they changed let him know he was this close to being Phantom again. He just had to be a little more patient.
He could do that.

You ever think about how Cass' first on-panel sight of a fatherly relationship is Jim and Babs, Babs touching Jim's cheek in a loving caress; a relationship unbroken by No Man's Land, a concrete and lasting bond that neither Jim nor Babs denies. But the first motherly relationship she sees is Bruce and Leslie, fracturing under stress, both with their backs to the other. Cass doesn't need to ask about Jim and Babs, but she does need to ask about Leslie and Bruce. And Bruce says, "she's not my mother." Fatherhood is presence - motherhood is absence. The bond of a father is everlasting, no matter how much Cass wishes it wasn't, but the bond of a mother is never concrete, no matter how much Cass wishes it was.

Still thinking of how Twobit knows more than he lets on of the world and of his friends, just how thoughtful and caring he is under the jokes and shoplifting.
Particularly his relationship with Johnny,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s mentioned in the book that if it’s not the curtis’s he’ll likely be with Twobit on nights he doesn’t go home. Also how we see two fight back Johnnys mom from a beating and then again at the hospital. Looks out for him. Two bit is a follower, he typically will be in a rumble to back up his buddies so when he’s the one starting something it’s with purpose- every time we see or hear of him doing so it’s defense. For others more than himself. (He still held his own when he was jumped)

BLESS whoever wrote this codex entry.
Finally, a voice of reason behind the revelations about the Evanuris... It still doesn't excuse the the genocide inflicted upon the elves by the human settlers! It still doesn't mean elves can't mourn the culture, history, and freedom that was stolen from them!
And I really love Strife's comment at the bottom, about how whoever wrote this letter is not alone in their feelings. This is especially nice coming from Strife, because per Tevinter Nights, we know he wasn't even born Dalish, but joined a clan later in life. It goes to show that it's not just a Dalish thing; it's an elven thing as a whole.

There was so much about the Divergence finale that Got Me, and I’ll probably end up blabbering about them all at some point, but the moment that really Hit first was when Erro gave his life protecting Garen, and that only got reinforced after the Cooldown because it confirmed how it was a perfect climax of not just one but TWO separate, completely coherent stories in one go. Even without the grand twist at the heart of it all, Erro would still be the cynical man who had spent the majority of his life keeping his head down for the sake of survival, operating pragmatically because sticking your neck out too far gets you killed, sacrificing his life to protect the man he argued with initially about what risks were worth taking when it came to altruism vs survival, saving Garen who had helped save him first from darkness both literal and metaphorical. But then of course, the twist does exist, and not only do we get the above story, but we also get a story about a brother that chased after his sibling to save him, even knowing he would lose himself in the process and would not remember, and still managed to protect him in the end like he’d resolved to do (It could have been any of the party that tried to save Garen, or that fire bolt might not have been deadly, or any number of other things might have happened). Neither Bahamut nor Moradin knew who each other were, and yet fate and faith brought them together anyway to accomplish the tasks they’d ultimately set out to do. Neither of these stories impede on each other (neither character knew about their other half, and only Liam was in on it above the table), they complement each other because they are distinct. The hardships and lessons learned and relationships built in their mortal forms aren’t tarnished by a greater knowledge or advantage, and the genuine leaps of faith and humbling of their divine selves ring true because they didn’t know and never knew until their mortal lives ended. Just… damn y’all.

As far as I can find, Soren has only cried twice in the entire six seasons of The Dragon Prince.
Tumblr media
Once in Seasons Two, after he's paralyzed by the dragon.
"I was confused, and I didn’t want to do it, but I do want Dad to love me, and be proud of me."
Tumblr media
And once in Season Six, when Viren is apologizing to him for all the hurt he's caused.
"Somehow you found the right path in spite of everything I've done. I'm so proud of you."
I've been thinking about this since the season dropped, so now you can too. You're welcome.

thinking about how the white streak his corrupted self has in 6x05 is different than the one Callum ends up with. The one in 7x05 seems to be modelled more after what he would've heard Ezran describe or be prone to picture on Claudia:
Tumblr media
If you love them... Rayla, Ezran, all of them, you'll do anything to save them. Even if you have to sacrifice your sense of right and wrong. If you love her, you'll be the you who can save her.
And to Callum, this means sacrificing a form of his relationship with Rayla ("I can't. Don't you get it? Rayla loves me, this version of me. She believes in me") and by proxy a life together by sacrificing himself, and doing it alone; lifting the burden off her shoulders by getting Runaan to do it instead. What he found instead was a Rayla willing to work to save his life (her initial protests) and to trust and work in tandem with him: even in this, he wasn't alone, even if it would hurt both of them so incredibly much ("we will..."). He can do this, and she can know he would do this, and he's still and will always be Her Heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, the second significant harm was witnessed and Callum needed help, Rayla abandoned Runaan's bow and ran to him, despite the fact the spell or conflict wasn't resolved or over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ezran even recognizes how: "We were ready to sacrifice it all. Everything. You and me, Callum, Rayla... we almost gave up everything we are." (And I'll have a more in depth meta about Callum and whether that's true / his sense of identity as of S7 once I've processed more of it, because jc.) And what he received on the other side of it was veritable proof that they are together in all things (even if it wasn't in the way we quite expected), that she trusts him unconditionally and will always have his back, and that he doesn't have to worry about becoming someone she doesn't love or recognize, because that's not possible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She loves every part of him, even the part(s) he hates and has grown to accept will always be a permanent part of him.

I love the juice bar scene as much as the next person. I especially love the juice bar scene in conjunction with the confession.
And yeah, the "I'm straight" is chekov's gun, and the chemistry between Eddie and father Brian too. I love the meta/spec/headcanons!
That's not what I want to talk about. Instead, I want to talk about how sensitive Father Brian has been to Eddie's needs. He offered Bobby help in the church, face to face, and that worked for Bobby because he's a religious man. Eddie went to confession, and got his grievances aired, but -
we know Eddie's relationship with the church and religion is more complex than Bobby's. It doesn't work.
And then Father Brian runs into Eddie, recognizes him although he probably only saw Eddie through the confessional's grate. He remembers Eddie's name, too. He cares! And I don't think that's a sexual/romantic thing at all - and I don't think it is religious either. Yes, religion is the context within which he works, but it's not the only context.
He's not technically on the job when he sits down at that table; he's away from the protection by the grandiose rituals embedded in going to church, confession, wearing robes. He does it out of personal care, affection for humanity; he fills the role of a social worker, a guidance counselor - and religion is one of his tools but it's clearly not his only tool. It's also his ability to observe, and to listen, and to reflect on things - putting his finger on the sore spot in ways no one else in Eddie's life has done. That takes guts, especially because he knows Eddie's in a vulnerable place.
And he does it not because he's interested in Eddie romantically/sexually - that is not the reciprocity he seeks, nor the reciprocity that fulfills him. He does it because he cares.
The setting certainly helps too. Eddie doesn't feel as intimidated, not like a fish out of water. Only his title marks Father Brian as a religious figure; he uses it to break the ice and mark himself as safe ("I am celibate"), and then finally invokes his position to speak to Eddie's Catholic guilt and get him to do something for himself.
I don't know. It just felt deeply human and caring and I enjoy that a lot, and I love how it all connects back to Eddie first realizing his Catholic guilt in 7x05.

i know a lot of people talk about the Cupid Scene as not being great as Nico's coming out story (which i think is a complex matter but that's a rant for another day), but I personally find it way more compelling if it's just not Nico's coming out story at all - it's the beginning of Jason's.
Because it doesn't really work or make sense to be Nico's, right? It's not Nico's pov. Nico doesn't have a POV at all in this book. And in House of Hades, the Cupid Scene is one of the first major things Nico gets to do right out of the box jar. Why introduce a character, have him be outed as gay, lead the crew around, and then leave to go travel with someone else all in one book where he's not even a POV? It's also contrary to the way Nico generally functions as a character - he's either exposition, dues ex machina, or damsel in distress. He's kind of a damsel here, but ultimately he doesn't need anyone else to save him - or even be there. He handles it on his own. Jason is mostly just a witness.
But, if you view the Cupid Scene as being about Jason, it narratively fits a lot more; Jason at this point is dating Piper, and they're three books deep into their relationship. TLH they start dating and are relatively happy with it and where they are. SoN is a skip but we know they're happily dating during that time, and then Mark of Athena we get a slight shift. Jason and Piper see Percy and Annabeth and go "Oh! They're perfect. Their relationship is perfect. We could be happier if we were more like them." Piper and Jason are also both characters who go through an identity turmoil in general - particularly about how both of them want to be perceived by others and who they are as people. The things they identify with - their parents, their heritages, etc etc. Their orientations. Piper's get more focus earlier in HoO, and Jason gets more later.
The Cupid Scene is from Jason's POV, in a book where he is beginning to struggle with his identity and what people expect from him - particularly him not feeling like he perfectly fits with "either camp." He's too "Greek" to be "Roman" but too "Roman" to be "Greek." He's not quite one or the other. He doesn't meet the expectations either has for him. (This is bi-coding, if you couldn't tell. Just replace "Greek" and "Roman" with "Straight" and "Gay.") It starts with Cupid addressing Jason first, before Nico, very directly - asking him if he's so sure he's happy in his relationship? Does he really think it's perfect? Even Favonius very pointedly asks him if he really forget that guys can date guys? Do you have some internalized bias around that, Jason? Hm? Heck, they're both specifically in their Roman forms, not Greek. Why would they appear in their Roman forms if they're there for a Greek demigod? And very notably, they have this exchange:
Tumblr media
(remember what I said about the bi-coding with Jason's Greek/Roman identity crisis? I don't think it's coincidence that this so pointedly comes up during the Cupid scene.)
Favonius' introduction to the Cupid scene sets up Nico's portion of it, but Cupid almost exclusively speaks to Jason for the first half of it. Then Nico steps in. He diverts the conversation away from Jason and focuses the attention onto him. Nico's the one Cupid wants, he insists, not Jason. He's the target, not Jason. This is very in line with Nico's character - practically one of his core character traits is he trusts and starts caring about people very quickly, probably quicker than he should or even wants to, and will put himself in harm's way to prevent others from being hurt. The Cupid Scene isn't the start of Nico's coming out story - Nico already knows he's gay. He has no internal doubts about that. He's known it for awhile. He's just in the closet. And he starts coming out of his own free will in the next book, first to Reyna and Coach. The Cupid Scene is Nico recognizing that Favonius and Cupid are pushing Jason for something he's not ready for and hasn't figured out yet, but something Nico has and just hasn't said out loud yet. The Cupid Scene is Nico taking the proverbial bullet/literal arrow for Jason (Jason consistently describes the arrows as whizzing by him before striking near Nico, interestingly) and being outed so Jason isn't. And that presents Jason with the path to begin questioning his identity further. (Jason also then directly compares Cupid to Aphrodite, specifically her Greek form, which also ties into Jason's greek/roman stuff.)
And I don't think it's coincidence that Jason and Nico mirror each other so much, and that their arcs in HoH are so intertwined. The Cupid Scene functionally, on a meta level, establishes an explicitly queer character to parallel Jason and for him to bounce off of during his own arc. (And, also on a meta level, establishes to the audience to be sympathetic to queer struggles, with Jason's arc then proceeding to be a queer-coded struggle.) Jason is presented as having this strange level of isolation from how others perceive him in a positive way/the expectations people have of him that wraps around to something akin to Nico's ostracization as being an outsider and atypical demigod in general. Nico is a rouge - he explicitly expresses how he feels like he doesn't fit in at either camp (something he expresses explicitly during the Cupid Scene, mirroring Jason's simultaneous questioning his own place at Camp Jupiter) and a core part of his character is that he does function outside the rules and expectations of both camps. He operates on an entirely different realm to them. If the camps are an expectation of normative concepts of acceptable relationships, Nico is outside of that. And he recognizes that he operates outside of that and will never fully fit into the mold either expect of him, and he recognizes he doesn't need to fit in, even if he theoretically could force himself to fit that mold. Jason, meanwhile, is still locked within those boundaries, and grappling with this idea of how he can exist between them.
Nico hands Jason a goblet of poison and says "how much do you trust me?" and it's Nico challenging Jason to take his own advice about trusting others about their identities, and almost immediately after that Jason gives up his praetor title to Frank. Jason's Greek/Roman arc is directly tied to Nico and the Cupid scene. BoO ends with Jason asking Nico to stay at CHB so they can hang out that summer. By TOA, we learn that Nico has started dating and is staying at CHB (is exploring the niche of expected and socially accepted relationships) while Jason has broken up with Piper and is living away from both camps (rejecting hetero/allonormative expectations), still struggling with his own identity. They functionally swap places. And that's fascinating.
Anyways i think about Jason's bi-coding a lot.

I don’t want to come off as ‘condescending’ when I say this but I really don’t think people who aren’t as invested in Anidala’s relationship the way the shippers are have room to insinuate what we know and understand of their love story. You can’t go around saying things like “Anidala shippers ignore the darker parts of their relationship to enjoy the cuter and more adorable parts.” because that’s just plain false. Nobody understands Anidala more than the people who love them. Anidala shippers are more than aware of all the aspects of their beautiful and pure love story, that also holds darker themes at some points too. And may I add that “accepting” the existence of their “darker moments” doesn’t mean they’re “unhealthy” or “toxic” btw.
Anakin & Padmé have always been a devoted, domestic, insanely, and madly in love married couple who support each other and help each other up in their toughest times together, did their best to work things out when it went wrong, and never lost hope for a better future together. Everything they did was literally out of pure and deep-passionate love for each other. They were the ‘picture perfect’ of married love birds, and anything bad in their love mostly came from outwardly forces working against them.
You can’t compare them to another canon couple (whom are also healthy, adorable, and perfect together) that have a completely different writing style to Anakin & Padmé’s. Keep in mind that Anakin & Padmé are written in the inspiration of a Shakespearean tragedy, a fairytalistic fantasy, a literal Space Opera. Their love story is going to be a lot more enhanced in theatrics, dramatics, and intensity… which means a lot more problems, trauma, and tragedy. Which makes sense because they hold the key to the entire narrative in the ‘Skywalker Saga’, they’re quite literally the “plot.” (Mother and Father of Star Wars.) You can’t go comparing something as huge as that to another normal and domesticated couple that hold a smaller purpose in the story. Their writing style won’t be the same as Anidala’s, which may give you the illusion that Anidala is “toxic” or “unhealthy” but they’re really not. They’re just written from a different and much larger perspective thus it takes media literacy to be able to intake both forms of writing styles to understand both couples.

About to fling myself into the sun properly - they put Buck in 2 watches - one on each wrist - so they could make sure to catch the watch in the close ups because it’s important!! (It’s really hard to tell from the screen grabs but if you watch the scene and focus on his wrists you’ll be able to spot the watch strap and the light glinting off the metal
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The one we see on camera in the scene - that is not the wrist he wears his watch on normallyas you can see from the picture below!
Tumblr media
Which means they needed to ensure that the watch was on camera in the close ups - so had Oliver wear one on each wrist to capture it either way!! Which means there is a relevance to the watches and when they are wearing them!!!
Now I just need to confirm that Eddie has a new watch on in the goodbye in the rain scene!!!
This show makes me feel insane!!

Another one of my favourite details in Good Omens: We see Crowley's phone a few times in Season 1. We see his backgrounds.
His background for calling Aziraphale is just a photo of fire, whatever that means (there are a lot of possible interpretations here, none of which I'm going to get into).
Tumblr media
Photo from this reddit post
On the other hand, he has a portrait photo of himself for his own contact picture. And it doesn't look like a selfie to me (I could be wrong though, he did invent those, after all). It's a weird angle, and you can't see the arms (which might just be the way the photo is cut, but still). That photo was taken by someone else. Probably not Aziraphale, that poor angel would be so confused by smartphones. In other words, he had a stranger (or maybe one of the Erics) take a photo that he then set as a contact picture of himself.
Tumblr media
Screenshot from this video
What the Heaven, Crowley.
Also, the contact isn't called "House Phone" or "Landline", but just "Me". Does he have to call himself a lot? Does he leave memos on his ansaphone because he'd forget to fertilise his plants otherwise?
Silly demon.

Who else is in the ‘they are speaking - mind-to-mind’ theory camp?
I’ve had to accept that I’m not going to have time to write the fanfic I have all planned out in my mind. Not if I want to Write Seriously™️ and be a functioning human.
I don’t even have the time to write a long-arse meta like I’d love to. I’d love to spend a whole day just delving into my thoughts but…not gonna happen. As it is I’ve got about 10 minutes until someone gets home and I’ll be expected to do useful things.
So.
I think Aziraphale taught Crowley a useful magic trick in 1941. Our Part 3. Which we see during The Kiss in the Final 15 - when Crowley passes something to Az. What does he pass? Dunno. But it’s got something to do with this new communication ability.
Tumblr media
This isn’t Crowley realising his feelings. They have both known their feelings for long enough. This is him realising he needs to put plans into action. Spurred by Nina’s words, and other things. They’ve been too conspicuous. It’s too dangerous. He needs to protect his angel.
Tumblr media
All of this - a lot of acting for those listening in, but probably also anger and devastation at Crowley for putting into action the emergency plan without Az’s consent? But rather than being angry, I think this “I forgive you” is genuinely meant. Az knows Crowley saw no other way out for them. I think there’s a degree of bodily autonomy this plan takes away, but Az wants him to know that’s ok. He forgives him.
And that means more than “I love you” to me.
Tumblr media
So while Crowley drives, he’s (oooh, is it breaking the law? Is it like talking on the phone?? Demon!) talking to his angel. I believe, telling him he’ll be taking his place as the Grand Duke of Hell. Ready to fuck shit up.
Tumblr media
As we have Aziraphale (and Michael Sheen, master of microexpressions) joining in the planning.
Ready to fuck shit up.
And so we have our players manoeuvred into place. Head of Staff of Heaven & Hell. Ostensibly.
Not speaking. Verbally.
But mentally…that’s a different story.

Oh, for…somebody’s sake, I just realized: the reason that Crowley hasn’t told Aziraphale that he lost his flat is so that he can’t be invited to live at the bookshop — because if a demon lived there, then Hell’s agents could pop in and out as they pleased, just like they did with the flat. And the Bentley, until the angel asserted a claim over that, too.
Crowley flat-out tells Shax that he can’t invite her into the shop. “Not, technically, something I can do,” he says. She wouldn’t need an invitation at all if he lived there, would she?

Something about how we all thought Ezran would be "The King With 1000 Eyes" but the way we ended up getting it was actually very different. What I mean is that he sees everyone for exactly who they are, and he always has.
He was the first to trust Rayla, and she was the first to trust him in turn even when Callum didn't, with animals, showing her the egg, and hugging her the second he sees her again after 2 years.
He clocked Viren in s3 ("No. You're not."). He always trusted Soren, even when Soren was under Viren's thumb, and he was right to; Soren couldn't have made himself hurt him with the zipline in s2.
He calls out Aaravos, master manipulator who had Terry and Viren and even Claudia going for a while in their very first conversation. "You know, you're very good at telling most of the truth."
But he's also influenced to who he can trust by the right influences. He wasn't swayed by Callum's opinions on Rayla early on. He knew to be wary of Finnegrin because he listened to her. He knew they could trust Terry because of Aaron & Sam.
Ezran is the king with 1000 eyes in that he has friends everywhere. Friends loyal to him not out of fear, but because they love and trust him.
