Diavolo's giving Barbatos the ultimate puppy dog eyes until he gives in. What's the point of being the next Demon King if you can't declare your human's birthday a national holiday?!?

Barbatos only finally gives in because he has a thing for planning events. What a lovely excuse to cook a whole huge feast and decorate the castle and- Asmo gets involved and the it's all downhill from there.

I can just imagine Lucifer being like, Barbatos why didn't you stop this?

And Barbatos just having to be like, My apologies. The desire to bake a large cake for MC was too overwhelming.

You know in those "animation meme" games on Roblox you need to put in someone's username and they'll appear? It's kinda like that. The Survivers or the Spectre can choose who it will when the rounds starts.

As for how they are made, they are made like any other killer, just more annoying to make because they're needs to be custom parts made.

(The annoyance of making it is one of the reasons why it's the Spectre's favorite skin, the other reason is tricking the survivors with duplicates of friends, family, or even themselves.)

Due to everyone calling for Barbatos for help so often, he's learned to respond to every little noise he hears that may be directed to him. The obvious ones being someone calling his name or saying hey, etc. But some others would be more obscure, like when someone is talking to someone else, and they say something along the line of "get him to do it."" And Barbatos immediately knows that he is "him."

Okay, but imagine doing the pspspspsps to Barbatos as you would a cat. He's repond. He would. I would do this every day and night. All the time. That's it, that's the take

LOL I can just IMAGINE it.

Barbatos would absolutely respond, but it'd also be like, "MC, must you pspsps at me? Can you not use your words?"

Like he's gently complaining about it, but he's still gonna come right over to your side as soon as you do it.

I think of him as being very cat like anyway, so it'd be hard to resist the temptation to do that lol.

I also agree that he's hyper aware of people needing him and speaking about him. He's just on top of it, always ready to step in should his assistance be required!

Ah now I'm having visions of him sitting down next to MC, who proceeds to pet his head like a little cat because they can't help it. And that stoic demon purrs. I'd lose my whole mind. He'd probably blush profusely, but he also wouldn't stop.

I like to think of Barbatos as a tease, but it's equally fun to tease him lol.

Hi! First off, I just wanted to say that you're incredible for not only answering these asks, but doing it in such detail. I watched the videos you linked in that post late last night, and I feel like an absolute genius and can't wait to get my pencil out today.

I have a small more specific question -- I don't know if I've actually seen you doing it in this comic, but I don't think it's that much of a stretch to assume you have (plus I didn't really look very hard), so I'm asking anyway.

How would you shade/render a blank wall or corner? Is it darker in the middle? Is one wall darker? What if there's lighting right there in the corner?

For shading a wall or corner it's all in the gradients! How strong the shadows are will depend on what the light source is or where it is in relation to the corner. Here are some references I found for examples.

If you are doing it digitally you can use a gradient tool. It's simple and easy to get those shadows down quickly.

Idk if this was a tutorial? It's also not completely accurate, it was mostly just me going "oh huh... how would I do that?", but I hope this helps!

hiii Em!! I'm SO glad you asked hehe I'm very excited to talk a bit about this fic!

both fics take place in the same shapeshifter au where anyone with a vision also can shapeshift into an animal!

fox! Childe x bunny! Reader

Reader works for Yelan and helps to gather information (being a bunny can be pretty useful for that) when you are caught spying on the Fatui by Childe!

he can't let you share what you've heard, so he captures you (after an intense chase scene hehe)

he ends up bringing you back to where he's staying at the Northland Bank and decides to keep you captive until after the Fatui plans happen. all the Fatui are o.o at Childe walking in with a rabbit under his arm but they're not going to say a thing about the 11th Harbinger suddenly wanting to keep a pet because they'd like to keep their heads, thank you

anyway you start to find that Childe is growing on you the longer you spend in his presence and learn about him. (featuring a visit from Teucer!)

eventually you escape for good and return to your regular job, working at Yelan's teahouse, when suddenly Childe starts stopping by for tea and nearly gives you a heart attack the first time he shows up

I don't want to spoil too much about the reveal but!! some random hints about what I want to include throughout the fic: Reader gets a ribbon collar from Childe, a second intense chase scene, two visits to Bubu Pharmacy and an appearance from Qiqi, Childe in a half-transformed state with fox ears and claws and a tail, and some biting (not necessarily in that order)

dragon! Zhongli x cat! Reader

I don't have very concrete ideas for this yet, but:

thinking of a foreign Reader who arrives in Liyue who doesn't know much about all that went down with the Geo archon

Reader decides to explore the stone forest (perhaps you're an adventurer and your commissions take you there?) when you stumble across a dragon napping on one of the mountain peaks and ngl he looks pretty comfortable and it's sunny out, so you take a break and join him on a nearby rock

once you're back in Liyue you start running into Zhongli and then suddenly on your commissions to remote places, more often then not you'll find a dragon already there napping

and that's about it!

I am sooooo excited for the fox! Childe x bunny! Reader dynamic augh it has already been fun to write thus far and I can't wait to write more of it. once I make more progress I might share some snippets hehe. and if anyone has any questions or would like me to expand on things, feel free to let me know! c:
