I was watching a video this morning, and there was a girl who seemed unsettled by the fact that the guy she was dating saying that she was "soft in contrast to him" and that "she looked fertile".

Now, I am an Alpha. Maybe not a very good one, but I am an Alpha. I also like more traditionally feminine and soft Omegas who look like they can carry my pups. And now I've been left to wonder: Are Omegas also not fond of that sort of compliment/descriptor?

Like, to me at least, it's not like I'm trying to reduce Omegas to baby making machines or anything like that. I don't even like babies, I don't want any in my life thank you very much. And I'd take a thinner or more muscular Omega that fits my personality more over someone who's "my type" but doesn't go with me at all any day of the week. But it is rather instinctual for me that I compliment Omegas on how beautiful they look and that (from perspective and to my tastes) means pointing out they look soft and fertile.

But I am now worried that this is offensive to most Omegas?

If you're an Omega, regardless of your gender or even your body type.

Some (Pack) Alpha Things

— Casual scenting between pack mates / friends, even if you're not particularly close, letting the people in your life know you care about them.

— Vocalizations when you're amused, happy, or content around your loved ones while you're watching them play / hang out.

— Letting your friends stay close to you for protection or when you're having a conversation, and they're feeling a bit shy.

— Guiding others going through a hard time and letting them know they can always rely or come to you for support / help.

— Helping your pack / friends problem solve solutions.

— Taking the lead during a moment of crisis to keep your packmates calm and address a situation effectively.

— After a long day, being able to come home to your den and rest up for the day tomorrow. (Bonus points if your mate / partner makes the den feel more like home)

— Feeling proud you've found such an amazing pack, and wanting to protect them at all costs.

Thinking about beautiful Omegas lounging bare in the sun. Free of care and free or worry, because they have a whole Warren around them that cares for them and sees them as pack.

Thinking about the same Omegas dancing in the night around a fire, howling like wolves and praising old goddesses.

Thinking about the same Omegas round with children that their Alphas, who planted them in their womb, await for proudly because they're the future of the pack.

Thinking about Omegas being courted with whittled objects, shells and seasonal herbs and fruits by their mates, who want nothing more than to hear them purr in joy at the sight of a gift they like.

Thinking about Omegas that use river stones for divination. Omegas that paint themselves and others with natural dyes. Omegas who sing cryptic and spell laced songs to the wind and pass them to their pups.

Just thinking about wild Omegas.

Hello ~ I've been looking for an Omegaverse community and I found your blog while searching around! I'm a 27 y/o ( I know I'm old T.T) pansexual and would consider myself an Omega is Omegaverse was real lol... I've been feeling really isolated in my interests, so if you decided to create a new pack or server, I would love to know or be able to join! Dear Misce Folk, do you like the flavour of your own scent?

It's time for another misce poll, inspired by the fact that I found peach-flavoured monster ultra at the nearby store and it made me think about how it's sort of interesting that I absolutely love anything and everything peach-flavoured, which is also the base note of my own scent, and I started wondering if liking similar flavours to one's own scent is a common thing for misce folk.

It may be hard to interpret this question if you have a scent that isn't exactly a flavour, if your scent has multiple notes/layers, or is otherwise complex. Here are some examples on how to interpret this poll:

Viable example: your scent is vanilla. Answer the question as "Do you like vanilla-flavoured things?"

Viable example: your scent is equal parts wood smoke and coffee. Answer the question as "do you like foods with a smoky aroma" OR as "do you like coffee and/or coffee-flavoured things?" (Whichever you like)

Viable example: your scent is old books with a side note of whiskey and a very, very faint hint of sea salt. Answer the question as "do you like whiskey, whiskey-flavoured things, and/or foods/drinks that contain whiskey as a flavouring?" (Answer based on the strongest "edible" thing that is a part of your scent)

Viable example: your scent is cigarettes and old leather. Answer the question as "do you like the taste of cigarettes?/do you smoke cigarettes?" (Technically, cigarettes are not eaten, but they are consumed as a flavour in some sense, so they can be counted as somewhat of an exception to the rule. Also no judgement whether you do smoke or not.)

Viable example: your scent is lavender. Answer the question as "do you like lavender tea and/or other lavender-flavoured things?" (It's not a common food flavour, and is more associated with scented items such as candles or soaps, but it does exist as a fairly common flavour of tea. Answer based on this. For other floral type scents, try to figure out if they are often used as flavourings in things- cherry blossoms are often during the spring season, for example, but lily-of-the-valleys aren't, especially since they're poisonous.)

NOT VIABLE: your scent is earth after the rain. While you can technically lick the ground after it rains, you're not going to find it as a flavouring for actual foodstuffs meant to be eaten and enjoyed. Novelty items such as "beanboozled jelly beans" which are meant to taste like inedible things DO NOT count. Please pick the first option ("my scent can't be a flavour")

my skulk/pack and i lived in a large communal home, and it was practically covered in pillows and blankets, basically being one big system of interconnected dens/nests. the house itself was very cluttered in the same way an antique store would be cluttered- messy, but organized- and smelled very commonly of bread. trinket trading was extremely common and basically a form of currency for snacks/services.

Introductory Post

Hello, you can call me Fox!

This is my miscecanis side blog. I've been living as an omega for many years now and it is an instrumental part of my identity, generally, sexually and gender-wise.

I take it very seriously but this does not mean that I do not also find fun or joy in it, in fact it brings me much of both as well as significant comfort and a sense of normalcy. It makes my body and behaviours feel "normal" and desirable.

Minors please DNI. My identity is NOT purely sexual but for me it is deeply intwined with sexuality and while strictly NSFW posts will generally be reblogged elsewhere, 18+ topics of discussion will be present here.

I will sometimes reblog general omegaverse posts and headcanons that resonate with me, even if they weren't strictly made with misce in mind.

Currently laughing at something I did that I didn't notice as a pack alpha / system caretaker.

Went to a concert and got a shirt of my favourite artist, and told everyone in the system that this is my shirt. Mine.

Of course, everyone gets their hands on it and wears it constantly. Says its their "comfort shirt" simply because it's mine.

The shirt got ripped on the side so no one could wear it for awhile, but today I sat down with a sewing kit and patched it up, only to realize I didn't even do it for myself, my own shirt, but did it for everyone else so they could continue to wear it.

I look out for them over the smallest things. /lh

were new to the misce community but we heard that specifically you had stuff about misusing the word misceverse but were having a little difficulty finding that so could you please maybe give us a link or summarize it for us? /nf /genq (sorry if phrasing is awkward it wasnt very clear what was wrong with the way people use misceverse? which is part of why were asking)

Yes I don't just dislike the word "Misceverse", I despise it.

The way people use my term and its natural branchings annoys me to no end.

I created the term/terms for miscefolk (and to a certain degree alterhumans I suppose) to have something to identify under, not so people could treat it as just another fictional equivalent to omegaverse. People use the terms nearly interchangeably nowadays. Or worse they use it as a weird "misce + random fictional character/mythological creature" combination.

The misuse and bastardisations of my flag is also something that annoys me, but something I won't get into detail right now, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Im *my opinion* Misceverse is not an appropriate word to be used by any actual miscefolk person. I get into more detail as to why in this post right here.

Also just to be clear: Yes I'm aware that the nature of creation is that we have no control over what people do with our creation once it's set free into the world, especially on the internet. I certainly don't have the power neither the authority to make people stop using it if they so wish, nor do I want to have such things. I'm merely expressing my point of view and opinion on the matter since I was asked about it.

If you use "Misceverse" and like it, go off I guess. I just don't think it's something that should be used.

hi hi hi is there ANY chance you know of any ways to smell like lemon, except not like lemon candy or lemon cake or lemonade, more like, lemons so sour that even smelling them makes your throat sting, lemons that smell toxic and make you want to avoid them, type of thing?

Hmmmm let me think.

Mixing lemon essential oil with Vaseline, unscented lotions, or coconut oil will give you that lemon smell.

You might benefit from more Colognes or unisex perfumes. Most femme lemon scents are sweet and paired with florals.

Speaking of perfumes look for perfumes // colognes with lemon or citrus in the middle or base notes and try to get more woody or smoky accents.

Some examples would be;

This guy would be best paired with the lemon essential oil trick because it would bring out that fresh sour citrus smell.

This guy seems fun (I have never personally smelled it but the notes are what seem to be your ball park)

This one is for more femme people (advertised as such at least) but I LOVE the smell of this (and I’m a gourmand omega so that means something) it’s very fresh and has what I think you’re looking for.

This one is advertised as sour (again haven’t personally sniffed it) and Reddit has been all over it as of late!

For some layering options there is a lemon dove body wash and some lotions (mostly sweet lemon so maybe go for unscented)

Other than that I think maybe zesting a lemon or squeezing the rind into some Vaseline might help you get that smell but it might irritate your skin so be careful and do a little test on your inner arm with this.
