Holy shit the conventions after season 6 and when the cast had only read the first few episodes and Castiel was dead dead are sooooo awkwarddddd
Misha is like I’ll be polite and hilarious but you killed me so idgaf
Fans keep asking about Castiel and how much we’re gonna see him and how’s his story gonna go
Sera keeps trying to justify killing him off without actually saying anything
And Jensen is just pissed that they’re killing off his and dean’s bestfriend 😂

The thing about season 8 is that they were clearly trying to make Destiel happen. There is no other way to take in the events of that ENTIRE season without going- oh yeah Dean is queer and also pining for the angel. The CW clearly did not like that and shot that storyline down, but COME ON…
- Dean spent a year in Purgatory by CHOICE bc he wouldn’t leave Cas
- love triangles! Dean/Benny/Cas vs Sam/Amelia/her husband
- Benny saved Dean in Purgatory vs Amelia saved Sam from his grief/hunting
- Dean being a huge dick about Amelia, Sam being a huge dick about Benny
- Salmon Dean both going through a “break-up” in Larp after they chose to stick together rather than keep Amelia/Benny in their lives
- Literally every conversation between Dean and Benny is so sexually charged it’s stupid.
- Benny was down bad for Dean… he DIED for him when he knew he couldn’t be a part of Dean’s life topside.
- Dean was so fucked up at the thought Cas would CHOOSE to stay behind his brain altered his memory. No magic here, folks. Just a desperate broken heart.
- After Cas ditched him, again, Dean was so eager to do the trials so he could die for the cause. Cas left him so he wanted to DIE. Girl, get a grip.
- He was so fucked up in fact, he turned down a one-night stand with one of the coolest and hottest women they’ve met. He really tried to say “i want to just nows not a good time” and she said “no you really dont” translation GAY.
- and then after that 1st trial Dean praying to, I’m sorry, “begging” Cas to come back.
- Then the crypt! WHAT THE FUCK.
- You are telling me we were supposed to watch brainwashed Cas kill hindreds of DEANS and accept it was a hetero connection
- BI LIGHTING
- “What broke the connection?” genuinely shut the fuck up
I could obviously go on, but my hand is tired of typing on my phone.
Oh- side note- it was only a few months after S8 finished airing that Misha tweeted “youre not crazy” so… I mean I AM. But. It was there. Textually. And they gaslit us into thinking it was subtext or fan fetishization so much that we have been feral posting for years and years, defending what we saw happening on our screens.
I hate Supernatural. It’s my favorite show.

So apparently, per a CE email, they are full on rebranding the 2024 SPN Con Tour as Jensen's:
We have some thrilling news to share with all of our fellow fans of The Boys! Creation is excited to present The Road So Far… The Road Ahead 2024 Tour, featuring none other than Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in the hit Amazon Prime series. This is a special opportunity for fans to come together and celebrate Jensen Ackles' iconic role as Dean Winchester in Supernatural, as well as his new role in The Boys franchise. PLUS, we have more amazing SPN guests on the tour, including Misha Collins ("Castiel"), Jared Padalecki ("Sam Winchester") -- and Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("John Winchester") and Rob Benedict ("Chuck/God"), who will be joining The Boys cast in the upcoming Season 4! Watch the trailer for Season 4 above! Whether you're a longtime fan of Jensen or a new admirer, join us for a weekend filled with panel discussions, meet and greets, photo opportunities, autograph sessions, exclusive merchandise, and more. It’s the perfect chance to connect with your fellow fans and immerse yourself in the world of Supernatural and more. Don't miss out on a wild adventure! Click here and mark your calendars for your favorite destination. Your "The Boys are back!" friends at Creation Entertainment
So now Jared is included in the "amazing SPN guests"??? F*ck off. I know he isn't doing them all but this is just… a low blow tbh. This feels like CE's 'f*ck you' to Jared for branching out and essentially screwing them over.
I'm sure AA's and Jared antis will be celebrating int he streets, but Jared isn't doing less cons, he's just doing less CE cons. Also he's actually working.
Oh this is so funny! Always be careful of what you wish for because Jensen finally got his Dean show and the AAs finally got their Jensen-centric show but we all know AAs are actually sweating bullets that Jared won't be around to save Jensen from himself, and hellers will wonder which one of them is going to ruin Misha's reputation......
Tumblr media
.
But seriously, clearly Creation Entertainment saw the math on the wall and the sum of which is a Jared-shaped-hole where money used to be. Jared actually has a career outside of Supernatural , so he Fox-Muldered himself. For reference...
Tumblr media
But for Jensen and most alumni, Supernatural will be their best-known gigs. I said here and here 5 years ago that "Misha and the rest of the one hit wonders may have 5 years of con circuit to rake in the money, after that it’s Meet & Greets at strip malls". And that was assuming Jared would still be co-heading with Jensen.
So by now attendances are peeling off and a few actors apparently told their fans that CE reduced their salary to the point that either working at CE is no longer viable or CE essentially fired them. CE is desperate to attract new con-goers by throwing out The Boys mentions and adding Smallville actors and rebranding as "J1 and friends convention"! I wonder if CE is still demanding the same outrageous price for the privilege of a J2 event without one of the Js.

This post is tinhatting to the nth degree, and it includes speculation about the current State of the Union of Cockles that is undoubtedly unpopular. If you're sensitive about this subject, turn back now.
(For the sake of context: I adore Cockles and want them to last forever.)
Someone mentioned that Jensen was asked at a recent con to name a favorite band or song. He answered that he had just learned to sing and to play a song called "Wondering Why" on guitar.
I read the lyrics to the song, which I am including here. Clearly he means this song to be a tribute to Danneel:
"She comes from silver spoon, golden rule, private school Never missed Sunday church And I come from blue collar, low dollar Out here where concrete meets old red dirt
And I don't know what happened But it sure don't add up on paper But when I close my eyes late at night You can bet I thank my maker
She keeps on loving me Loves me the way I am She's not just along for the ride She's my biggest fan Lord, it's a little old piece of heaven When we lay down at night She keeps on loving me And I keep on wondering why
She's got a wicked smile, angel eyes Every guy wanting to hold her close She's as pretty as sin Like the sun sinking down on the California coast
She keeps on loving me Loves me the way I am She's not just along for the ride She's my biggest fan Lord, it's a little old piece of heaven When we lay down at night She keeps on loving me And I keep on wondering why
Alright, alright, alright
I don't know what happened But it sure don't add up on paper And as long as she lets me I'll take her wherever she wants me to take her, oh
She keeps on loving me Loves me the way I am She's not just along for the ride She's my biggest fan And it's a little old piece of heaven When we lay down at night She keeps on loving me And I keep on wondering why."
My first reaction was, "That's really interesting, Jensen doesn't typically sing love songs that clearly reference the 'she/her' pronouns, so he is experiencing a renewed appreciation for Danneel." Wonder why...?
The lyrics are also taking a dig at a certain kind of person, the kind who is only "along for the ride." I wondered if that particular line was a dig at Misha, as I believe Jensen might have distanced himself from Misha due to the whole girlfriend debacle. I attended Burcon and the Jenmish panel, and I felt very strongly that Jensen had changed toward Misha, most likely due to Misha's inviting a new woman into his life, and also most likely without asking anyone else's consent to do so (except maybe from his kids). Judging by the cold (as in Arctic) mood of the panel, as well as a few mean-spirited swipes at Misha, something was definitely off between the two.
The song says she has "angel eyes" ?
Also: "It's a little old piece of heaven/When we lay down at night." Jensen has sung Bryan Adams' song "Heaven," which is thought by many to be a song he sings for Misha. ("When I'm lying here in your arms/I'm finding it hard to believe/We're in heaven.")
And I kept thinking about that line--"along for the ride." Could that be what a hurt and jealous Jensen thinks about Misha? That Misha was really just along for the ride, as opposed to Danneel, who has remained loyal and committed to him through thick and thin?
And then I saw a poem Alma posted on their story today. It's titled "Along for the Ride."
Tumblr media
(I have no proof of anything. I know nothing. Just a mind that tends to see connections. And yes, possibly where there aren't any.)
If folks come at me for this, I guess I'll do what I always end up doing these days- -I'll have to delete it.
Oh well.
POSTSCRIPT: SInce the posting of "I'm going I'm gone," Alma really went. Not even posting their daily favorite verses on their Instagram story, which have been a staple of their account for several years. Alma, please come back. We weren't just along for the ride.

The premiere of Gotham Knights was highly enjoyable as a tv show, plus being a batfamily fan I've got some tasty layers to unpack. This show clearly was crafted by people who have thought a lot about the batfamily characters and there are some really intriguing analogues, parallels, and echoes in the mix.
The gravitas centerpiece here really is Misha's portrayal of Harvey and he's showing what spn fans have known for years, how good Misha is at putting humanity on screen, opening himself up raw to it, and this time a character far more facile and fluid in his expressing of emotions (and knowing where this goes, far more volatile too). There's a genuine goodness and gentleness and sense of justice in Harvey that's going to make what's coming all that much more painful. Misha's showing both the compassion and the "hard charging" sense of command. I'm all tingly.
Another thought on Harvey and his roles: There's no Alfred in GK and there being no Jim Gordon either and the loss of both makes it a much darker AU to me. (And Cressida is not filling the hole no Alfred leaves). Who is bringing the notes that I would expect from Jim Gordon or from Alfred Pennyworth is Harvey Dent. Harvey, like Jim, one of the few decent people in a corrupt Gotham system, and a corrupted GCPD, who loves Bruce, and they worked together in their hopes for a better Gotham. Harvey's giving Turner emotional support, filling the Alfred role, Harvey's similar to Jim Gordon, a decent person trying to hold back the flood, and logistically Harvey might also wind up fulfilling the Jim Gordon role for the new batkids, a contact inside who can help them.
Carrie Kelley knows how to make an entrance. "He called me his little robin." She saved Batman, literally, Robins also save Bruce emotionally, so he's not doing this alone, and Carrie acted in that role too. They clearly were close, she is another adopted kid. I'm hoping we'll get to learn more about that relationship. How she became his eyes and ears. I LOVE HER. She is my favorite of the kids so far, although I think all the batkids are appealing. And like some other Robins, she vigilantes without becoming what Bruce became, without living in shadows. She doesn't seem eaten by the darkness. By whatever drives her to do this. Which may be why Bruce let her in and trained her. He needed the light by his side.
That line where Carrie tells Turner that Bruce said Turner was his hero caught at my heart. Bruce didn't want Turner to go down his path into the shadows. It seems this Bruce was scared of the darkness in himself. And maybe was scared of it taking over Turner because his parents were murdered, like Bruce's were. Turner has a little bit of echo for Dick Grayson--Dick uses the shadows, he doesn't live there like his adopted father does. Bruce shielded Turner to try to protect that light, similarly to how Bruce admired and was drawn to that aspect of Dick. There's a sad irony but also a hopeful note in the fact that despite Bruce's efforts, Turner won't be able to escape the bat legacy after all, however Turner is imo going to follow Dick's path. So even as he takes on the role of the vigilante, he's not going to let the darkness swallow him up the way Bruce feared it would if he brought Turner into the batcave. Why was Bruce so afraid of Turner letting the darkness eat him, maybe because Turner's background is so similar to his own. He projected onto Turner and feared Turner becoming exactly like him.
The pace and fight scenes moved along at a very good clip and I'm loving the gothic feel of it and the set decoration. The belfry is every bit as beautiful as I hoped.
Harper doing anything to protect her brother, and Cullen being very capable of taking care of himself and everyone else. I'm loving the Row siblings.
Duela is really really FUN. I expected to like her and I do. Also Harley Quinn exists in this world, presumably she's not dead like the Joker. No idea if Harley would ever get released to appear in GK but I am immensely intrigued by Duela's resentment of Harley while she's a bit like her. More hard-bitten, less idealistic. Even after she ditches Joker and chooses to be, well, more good than she was, if not exactly no longer villainous, Harley still has an idealism. Duela's outlook on the world is darker than Harley's.

I clearly stated that i'm a jensen girl, i don't know why that suddenly means that I'm somehow dissing jared. But if everything i say gets taken as an insult to jared or somehow means i think jared is shit, i don't really like the conversation.
Not the same anon, but I can see why they think that. You literally made fun of his acting. How is that NOT dissing him?
Plus Jared fans have a history of dealing with fans who claim they "like all three" and then spend their posts praising Jensen and Misha and dissing Jared. Its a very common pattern and your post fell right into it.
What I've been seeing is that jared fans diss dean/jensen, and the jensen fans diss sam/ jared. (And i have to be a bit honest here.. I've seen mostly sam fans acting like dean/jensen is the worst, and did i start shit with any of them no. Because i know everyone wants to defend their favorite, and i have seen how these sides escalate.
Original Anon even started talking to me about how disappointing spn's careers are. Mentioning how they're nearing 50... (targeted at jensen and misha, like it somehow matters) and how clearly jared's career is better or deserved better than the other two.
i made a little fun of jared's crying in one movie (his crying, not even his acting in general, you might've noticed all the pictures of crying i did after?) and you feel the need to defend whom exactly? Jared? anon?
Did i not say we could banter? That i make fun of things i like? Anon could've joked back. But anon was already trying to dismiss Jensen and Misha, i replied, no fight was going on, but you act like i very much offended you. And i wasn't even talking to you or replying about anything to do with you.
If you felt the need to say that all 3 are equal, you could've at least pointed out anon wasn't very much being neutral here.
So i have 1 person taking negative about "one side" who keeps insisting jared is better, and then i have you, who acts i have somehow insulted the whole jared community by mentioning his crying.
It's annoying everyone has to somehow fight in every fandom there is, and that opinions somehow are the worst offense if they don't align with yours.
But if you truly want people to be more neutral or to fight less you can at least be fair and notice how in this case someone was clearly trying to voice their negative opinion and it wasn't me.

People ignore nuance in sexuality and want to build their ideas of others in their minds while simultaneously trying to to give labels complete rigidity with no wiggle room. One of the major things the aspec community was talking about before we got ran off the site was how you don't need to redefine your entire sexuality for other people, it's okay to experiment with people without attraction, and that you don't need labels, you can just exist, and anyone who *has* to have a direct label for another person and won't drop it is a red flag.
I remember people ripping apart the crew member who ID as straight but had relationships with men after the finale because people couldn't fathom not wanting to inspect and label every aspect of their sexuality and made jokes at his expense and saying he was lying to himself/was in denial. No, he's just... a straight guy who sometimes feels a strong connection with men and pursues that connection. He doesn't need to redefine himself because of that if he doesn't feel the need. (And the split attraction model exists as well, but that also got ripped apart and so many people haven't heard about it after the aspec community was destroyed on here.)
This was the first time Misha gave himself a label, and he was pushed to do so. I feel sympathy for him as someone whose been there, although not from a celebrity aspect. Combine that with people *needing* to label everything, and how everyone but those who fall perfectly into binary labels are often scrutinized, and here was are.
To be fair I'm not a big fan of that crew member wjefwaelfjaw lol
but I think yeah there's a nuance here we're all forgetting IMO. I have a friend who said he'd sleep with a dude bc he finds some attractive but he wouldn't call himself bisexual. There are bisexual people or other ambiguous queer folk who don't know where they fall but present straight to others because that's what they feel safe in doing and they don't know what else to do.
i think misha was comfortable being ambiguous and not having a label and unfortunately, it wasn't going to last forever, clearly.
like you said, it's the first time he gave himself a label after 14 years of knowing him, and he was forced.
and given his position, breach of privacy by starting to dive into his personal life in these articles, and the shit people were about to also face once journalists pried even more because some of them are just horrible people — anything less than 'i happen to be straight' is permission for a press feeding frenzy IMO.
he said he's straight, on the record publically and these stories stop. if that's what he wants publically, that's absolutely fine. but also like you said, there's nuance. there's always nuance.
and who knows, maybe he really is just straight as an arrow and all of our queerdar is wrong — that's also fine. it still doesn't negate all the good things he's done over the years and I still look at photos and videos of him and smile when I see him.
but sexuality can't be boxed in, it can't ever be boxed in. i think of the eugenia tree poem in his book. that poem is one of my favorite poems.
labels mean everything to some people and nothing to others. some need to label someone, and others don't. misha was fine being unlabeled for a long time, and I think a lot of us figured it was going to stay that way. the events of this weekend were horrifying for anyone to experience and I truly hope he is around people for support.

I agree with you, seriously we are talking about Misha, he has done a lot for this world, and he has helped a lot of people. We know he's a good person, and he clearly never intended to hurt anybody.
Yes is super valid to feel hurt over his mistake, but he owned to it and he apologized.
I think people is being a little bit unfair to him, because i don't think he was queerbaiting all along or pretending to be someone he wasn't, i think that all this time what he was trying to do was to create a safe space for everyone, where everyone could feel acepted and important. And he's sexuality wasn't suposed to be more important than whatever his favorite color is, or any other of his preferences.
He was just treating everyone as equals, and he was entertaining us also, because breaking news! he's the performer artist and we are the fans.
^^
(warning I do have a lot of run on sentences and most of this will probably sound very repetitive. I am writing this at 6 in the morning when I should be getting read for school)
Yes!!
Even though Misha made an incredibly small mistake that had practically no impact on others, he still has a better apology than any social media influencers who has said a racial slur, or made an offensive joke.
He said that he felt awful, and sincerely apologizes for his mistake.
you could chalk it up to him wanting to give an incredibly sincere apology to everyone due to the fact that people have called him out for queerbaiting before, and that might be true, but who cares??
We need more people giving out apologies like the one Misha gave! He was making sure that he didn't want to offend anyone, so he gave out probably one of the best apologies I've ever seen.
Also, when you mentioned the fact that he was trying to make a safe environment, this brings up a really important point. Part of normalizing the LGBTQIAP+ community is reminding others that we aren't this niche little group, and people who are straight might still have 'homosexual tendencies' (for a lack of a better word. I'm sorry for anyone who found this triggering). Literally my GUIDANCE COUNSELER told me that we are all a little gay. Jensen admitted that when he heard some Jared dude got the role of Sam, he had never heard of him, so looked him up. Jensen said that he found Jared to be so hot and attractive, that he thought that he wouldn't be able to play as Padalecki's brother. Despite this, we know that Jensen is straight.
Normalizing this kind of stuff, and reminding one another that everyone has moments like that is one of the best things you can do. You can still find someone of the same gender attractive/ hot, and be straight.
I think we should thank Misha for all of this 'queerbaiting'. He is a walking reminder that people just are the way they are, and getting pissed at it really isn't the way to go about expressing your confusion and lack of understanding about these topics. It's all around you. Embrace the gay :)
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk lmao

The thing with Castiel is that he had a lot of storylines that had potential to develop, but were cut short for whatever reason I don't understand: like Godtiel, humancas. For example, with humancas, an entire season could be devoted to exploiting that, it could be a separate storyline unrelated to Sam or Dean, he could meet other angels and have to solve problems himself. etc. But no, they abandoned it after a few episodes, for what? to make Dean not look like an asshole for abandoning Cas when he was most vulnerable, so as not to divert the audience's attention away from two brothers? I have a feeling the writers kept Cas/Misha around because of his popularity with fans, but never gave him the status he deserved for a character with so much potential and importance to the story line. I'm only in ss10 and heard that Cas is treated even worse in the later seasons, I don't know if I should continue watching or not.
if there's one thing I realized pretty early on when I was finally watching season 7 after a decade long break, was that in the Supernatural universe, there was no other character that was as interesting and multifaceted as Castiel.
The second thing I realized was that it was not a very good thing for the showrunners to have a supporting character be like that when your entire show revolves around two brothers.
The reason they killed off Castiel in early season 7 was because they wanted the show to go back to being about Sam and Dean and with Apocalypse over, they didn't know what to do with Castiel. But clearly, he was too popular and they brought him back because the network itself told them to bring him back.
Now, a good writer would've been able to find a balance to keep Cas' story relevant and entangled with the Winchesters, as they did in season 6 but with Kripke leaving the show and new management in the writer's room, that didn't happen.
I almost, almost get it? Like, you have your story, you have your lead characters and people love them but suddenly you bring a supporting character who becomes an instant fan favorite, who's, debatably, a lot more interesting because of the history you gave him but never intended to explore and now he's sticking around so you just don't know what to do to make him not take over the narrative? You make him weak.
Cas couldn't have stayed the badass, powerful angel who's lived for a millennia because then that'll require the show to have villians even more powerful than that to be any competition and that leaves the Winchesters irrelevant.
So they tamed him down alot, which in itself wouldn't have been such a bad thing, especially if they went with the human!cas arc for longer like you said but to do that would've meant they couldn't use Cas as an easy way out of all winchester's problems and they needed that too so 🤷‍♀️
My main problem with all of that, mostly comes from the fact that, and I may be wrong here, but it seemed like the writers actively resented misha/castiel for being popular. Like he was, in misha's words "a foil to the boys" and while the writers couldn't let him go because the show would lose ratings, they actively diminished him. The random demeaning comments about Castiel from other characters, especially, from dean seemed a little too pointed. Not to mention how the producers actually publicly said 'misha wasnt a good actor' when he's literally one of the best actors on the show!
So yeah, if supernatural had better writers, or atleast if they kept hold of the good ones (because there were some good ones) they could've given Cas and the show a better story.
I hate to say it but they did it to Sam too. Sam was such an complex character but they just stopped trying after a while with his character. So I guess it was a theme with these writers.
And as a Castiel fan, its frustrating, I gotta say that. But you know what the best part is? that no matter what they did, how dumb the storyline they gave him he still came out as the most interesting character every time. So there you go.
So I'd say watch the show, its really good when it gets good or maybe just open Misha's page on Supernatural wiki and only watch his episodes if that's your thing because tbh, you wouldn't miss much if you left the rest. lol

I've gotta say, I find the concept of Bedlund trying to Ben-Hur Jensen absolutely hysterical. I'm just imagining Jensen getting a script and being like "Ben?? What's this? Is this gay? This seems gay????" and Ben just soothing him like a frightened horse.
Hahaha - Look it wouldn't be the first time. What is this verb we're working with? Okay. Strap in everyone. The Multi-Oscar-winning 1959 movie 'Ben Hur' had a bunch of gay subtext. The writer, the director, and the second lead actor all knew that Charlton Heston's character, Ben Hur, was gay. However, one person didn't find out until the 1990s: Charlton Heston. The consensus on set was "Don’t tell Charlton, because he’ll freak out." and when Heston found out in the ninties, freak out was exactly what he did. (x) [the movie may have gotten a reference from Misha back in season 6 (x)]
Whether this happened with Jensen on SPN depends on two things.
Was the character of Dean intentionally written as Bi and, if so, at what point did that become true?
Did anyone tell Jensen? Did he figure it out? if so, when?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I personally DO believe at this point, I really do, that Bedlund - Ben Hur'd Jensen. I think it was part of the writers room but not all of it, until it was. (Which RN I believe finally happened under Dabb.) I think Jensen wasn't in on it, until he was. So for me? I think he really was in the dark at one point. But at what point that changed? Probably only he can answer that question. and RN? He ain't talking.
In the meantime we can only look at things Jensen has said on the subject - Like this unbearably ambiguous GIF set from @nikadd. Was this tongue in cheek? Legitimate ignorance? You're killing me, Jensen. That cheeky lil smile, Jensen. Nvm - I'm going to kill you instead. It's for my own survival. No hard feelings right? You understand.
UH OH HERE COMES A CUT TO HIDE A LONG DERANGED POST...
We can look at the text for number 1 - and I do that uh - a lot - see the blog name #Dean Was Always Bi
For number 2 we can look over some points when we got clues from what Jensen thought was going on [regardless of whether they make sense based on his jacting or directorial choices I guess] and get left wondering whether at any point he felt pressured to lie for his career, for self protection, or to protect the narrative from the network:
2010 - 'We're missing the gay angel' (x) (Season 5 gag reel) (x) “Sorry man, not what the show’s about.” Jared: One of the good and bads about playing the straight [non-comedic] character on the show… Jensen: What wait? I’ve been playing him so wrong
2012 / S8 - Trenchcoat - Jensen talking about how sometimes they change the lines because they're way too gay. Calls Cas a third brother
2012 - "What's Destiel?" Ben Edlund: That’s some weird shit. Jensen: Is this something that you created, Ben? Ben: You don’t want any part of that.
“Don’t ruin it for everyone now” “I still don’t know what the question was. I’m going to pretend I don’t know what the question was.”
2013 @ JIB, re Dean’s reaction to Aaron’s flirting in the season 8 episode Everybody Hates Hitler,  (x)
“And the scene wasn’t written to be that kind of - I mean - It was written to be awkward.  Ben Edlund wrote the - my favorite line in that scene was ‘carry on . citizen’ that was - I almost couldn’t say that with a straight face I was laughing so hard.  But it was - you know - it was comedy. It was a comedic moment in the show and fortunately Dean gets a lot of the comedic moments in the show and it was just, you know, Ben was poking fun at the fact that - you know, how can we make this very kind of manly, heterosexual guy uncomfortable - uh -you know, or  or have him back on his heels and throw him off his game a little bit.”
The thing is - Bedlund and Phil Sgriccia made very clear on the commentary track that THEY saw this scene as a 'romantic comedy kind of fluster' "This potential for love in all places."
Ben Edlund calling the writer’s room a boy’s club in 2013 (x)
Misha Collins telling Destiel fans they aren’t Crazy in 2013 after some executives said they were (x).
2014 Jensen says he was glad there wasn’t much Dean and Cas in season 9  - HA Hah HAH (x)
“I think the whole Cas and Dean thing has gotten out of hand”  “I don’t think there’s anything secret to their relationship even though a lot of people wish there was” REMINDER - that season we got the nightstands acknowledgement and “play him like a jilted lover” and the “he dumped me James” cut and -
I certainly know that Misha and I don’t play that. SIGH. they Ben Hur'd Jensen.
2014 - the fan fiction joke - 10.05
“I didn’t have a positive reaction, The first time in I think 200 scripts I went and sat down in the showrunners office and said, ‘What in god’s name are you doing?! Why? I need to understand why this is happening.’” “[Carver] gave very eloquent answers and did a great job of explaining why we were doing what we were doing, I guess I had been aware of this ‘fan fiction’ for a while and I felt like maybe if I ignored it, it would eventually go away. When I read it in the script that is what I do for a living and is my work—I’m very protective of these characters and the story and I think we have a right to be—I wasn’t angry. I just wanted to understand why and what was the message we were ultimately sending with this script and story. By the end of it, I felt good and it gave me all the confidence I needed. It was better than I could have ever hoped.”
But then there's Jensen in 2015 talking about all of Dean’s bromances. (x)  [gifs at the top] Could go either way - starting to figure it out? or No?
What had changed if anything? the entire Crowely season 10 story line?  This was July 2015 - the same day as the SDCC 2015 panel where Misha talked about Destiel   (x @ 13) Carver and Dabb were there -
By this time Jensen and Misha were nominated for a teen choice award for best chemistry against various tv couples (and one ensemble cast, but the award nomination did NOT include Jared) .... Misha and Jensen would go on to WIN this award one month after the panel.
At the Panel Rob and Rich ask the question: “You two have branded yourselves as TV’s greatest team since, ... idk who.... Ernie and Bert so.”  [Misha says to Jensen & Jared, half not on the microphone: “I really didn’t expect them to throw us under the bus.”] “are we going to see that continue? Is the Castiel Dean relationship still aflutter and still growing as we move into season 11?”  Jeremy Carver: “Ish.” [mocking from panel ensues] “Yes. Of course. I mean Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. There’s no doubt.”
Jensen Directs 11x03 and the choreo mimics Goodbye stranger (x)
2016 - Jensen: Dean could have a huntress, but you’d kill her.
Jan 2017 Con the infamous - no hedge - harsh - “Destiel doesn’t exist.” (x)
I would hope that if he knew he wouldn’t have been so harsh with it.  So by that point either he still didn’t know - OR - to him ‘Destiel’ was specifically about internet porn/sex and not like - the potential for feelings / a relationship.  It makes me think about something Misha had actually said, around 2013, “It’s called ‘Destiel’ and it’s about the romantic interludes between Dean and Castiel.” (x)
2017 - jib8 Jensen called Dean a lover of the ladies
May 2017 - After filming the end of season 12:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2018 - Misha confirms he and Jensen have talked about Destiel (x) - also 2018: The Bisexual Dean essay "? No." (Oh god was this really this recent?! I can't deal with this.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well. SOMETHING happened in 2019. cuz here it comes
Tumblr media
2019 - "Dean has no taste, clearly." 2019 - 'So, tell us just a little bit about what you're most excited to tackle with your character this final season.' "Cas. Just like a full football form tackle."
Look at this face he gave Dean when Cas told him he loved him and tell me he wasn't playing into it here. You can't. (x)

i know, i know - the trenchcoat & suit was Cas' signature look. it was the outfit he wore when 1st introduced, integral to his JimmyNovak vessel. but continued for 12 seasons? was it such a favorite of the audience? didn't any of the writers/fans/Misha/Dean ever think it might be a good idea to change up his clothing? or did they make it so as not to matter to the angel purposely? i'm thinking of all the wardrobe choices we missed out on.
NO NO NO YOU'RE RIGHT. KEEP TALKING. i am jackles coded in that i think cas desperately deserved to wear some other clothes once in a while. i am assuming they stuck to it for continuity purposes or to keep the budget low? who knows. even so, dumb decision on their part. i mean yes it’s his signature look but can you BELIEVE we missed out on
Tumblr media
this look?
Tumblr media
this look???
Tumblr media
THIS LOOK??? SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A SHIRT AND JACKET??  like SORRY for wanting cas to look like a snack for once i guess :/ but with spn we can never have good things, clearly.

[part 1/2]
Hi, I’ve fallen in the cockles dumpster years ago and I don’t know how to reach the surface anymore.
we can say I’m a newbie on your inbox and I just thought we could all tinhat a little bit about one of the things that sold me on cockles to be a real thing: honcon 2017.
Here’s the list of things I can’t find a platonic heterosexual explanation for:
(Funny but useless foreword, a few days before the con a fan tweeted a photo of a rainbow she saw when her flight land in honolulu and said she took it as a sign that was gonna be a gay weekend, and man she was right lol)
1- Misha flew to a hawaii on thursday just like all the other guests who were supposed to be at the con way before J2 did.
We know j2 stopped shooting the same day/the day after because on friday Jensen was spotted by a fan on a plane to honolulu even tho he was expected to be there on sunday.
while Jared preferred spending that bit of free time at home. (Gen posted a few instagram stories of jared and the kids in Texas.) Jensen went straight to misha instead.
Even tho at the previous con j2 talked about how the following weeks were going to be full of work commitments and between work and cons so close to one another they couldn’t see the families as much.
I’m not saying Jensen didn’t miss his wife and kid. He loves them and clearly meant it when he said he missed them so much. That’s why it was surprising seeing him join misha so early. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it was a planned trip to spend time together.
2- I think it’s positive to say he was there early for Misha and only misha since that night a fan took a picture with them at an hotel bar. She posted it on instagram and said it was just the two of them, then she had to put the account on private since too many people were asking questions.
It’s strange how we only got one photo of that night tho, they’re always super nice with fans when being approached and usually after the first brave soul finds the courage to ask everyone else follow through.
Again I think they clearly wanted to be alone that night. No fans no castmates.
Maybe they were celebrating something?
3- Then the panel happened.
We all remember Jensen showing us how bad his kink for misha’s weird accents have gotten, how cheerful and at ease they were on stage.
Even I could feel the love was in the air and I live on the other side of the ocean!
welcome to the dumpster, nonnie! i love all of this a lot. i *just* got your part two and i am putting it and my reaction under the cut!!
[part 2/2]
4 - Jensen also bought matching shirts for his friends. One black shirt for him and an identical one for his bro. But misha’s was red cause he knows him well enough to notice he never wears black shirts.
I mean Jensen has a history of showing affection through gifts, (I have a few examples on my mind but no time to write it all down now)
That was a nice thing to do.
5- Least but not last
THE DINNER STORY.
I don’t care if it’s been years I’m still not over how sweet that moment was.
The question was an easy generic one, It took misha less than two minutes to answer.
But then mr. 10 years. same bar, same table. same company. grabs the microphone and procede to share with us one the sweetest memory of Misha he got.
I mean it was so unexpected. Unlike Jared and Misha he’s careful about what he think is appropriate and what’s not.
In my mind it sounded like: “Listen I know it doesn’t answer your question but I’ve just spent a good weekend with this person right here, that I clearly love and care for, and I’m feeling soft, so let me tell you about how I realized I was whipped on him since our very first date”
Again I find it curious Jensen was reminiscing about how they first got together on that particular weekend.
The same one he decided to join misha early just to be with him.
That was one of the moments I realized there’s no way this is a platonic relationship.
Ok this turned out way longer than I expected.
I clearly miss jenmish so much I can’t stop blabber about them.
I’m sorry
Polaroid anon
first of all: don’t be sorry, i truly loved this because i felt like i was seeing the panel again in my minds eye while i was reading your message.
second of all: you are absolutely right about everything except for calling misha’s shirt red. it was orange, which is misha’s favorite color, which makes it even more special that jensen got that one for him.
i also think that jensen went there early just for mish, which is just. a lot. it reminds me of another con, where jensen could have gone home already but he waited for misha who had to do something else there the next day, and then two days later they were spotted together i think at the airport.
i 100% agree that the fact that jensen shared that story about one of their first dinners is very special and rare. especially because in the past, whenever somebody wanted to hear a story from them, they both never knew what to share (probably because of lot of their stories are not suitable to share tbh) and to me it almost felt like he really thought about what he could share and what he would feel comfortable with, after all those times where he just went ‘shit idk what to say’.
and what he shared just felt so romantic? like. the look on misha’s face when jensen was talking was also so soft, he was clearly thinking back on that moment. a moment they both remembered all those years later. i mean at that point they had known each other for nearly 10 years and they still remembered that one particular night. it made an impression on both of them. it was a date. and then to top it off jensen added that he thought to himself ‘but i think i love him a little bit more too’. wow.
see, no need to apologize for talking a lot, as i clearly do the same sjfhshf.

Unpopular opinion, but i think Jensen is the best liar of them all.
Look, everyone who's convinced Jared is some kind of evil mastermind is just stupid, cause clearly that guy can't lie to save his life, so we have to accept that he's as honest as he can be even when sometimes the things he say are stupid or hurtful.
Misha is a good liar, but also it's very easy to spot the lie, because he doesn't really care about lying.
he doesn't need to be especially meticulous whe he lies, because he has the power of convincing and he's really good at it.
With Jensen we just can't tell, i think only the closer people to him would know how to identify if he's lying. He's just so charming and nice all the time, he's so sweet and he looks like he wouldn't hurt a damn fly.
Point is, we wouldn't even doubt of him in first place, so he might be lying to our faces about everything or nothing and we just wouldn't notice. Besides isn't it weird that everyone has this extreme tendency to defend him?
Honestly? I'm sure there are things these actors are all honest about and things they keep to themselves. It doesn't mean they're lying. It just means that they are allowed to have some semblance of privacy. Fans are not entitled to know everything about them, as much as some people think they are.
In addition, if you think Jensen's a great liar because you want to believe he's lying about liking the finale, than I guess you can believe that. I just know that someone who willingly brings it up before even being asked, or who mentions that one of his favorite moments is the barn scene in the finale, (when he could have picked a myriad of others over 15 seasons), actually really loves the finale. So much so, he can't stop talking about it.
As for Misha being really convincing? LOL! I guess if you consider that the people he's convincing are completely gullible and easily led. Heck, I could convince them of something completely idiotic if I really wanted to. It wouldn't be hard. You just have to play into exactly what they want to hear.
And finally, Jared hasn't actually said anything stupid or hurtful. That's just how you people perceive it because you've been led to believe he's the big, bad, Jared who's gotten in the way of Misha being the huge successful star you think he should be. When in fact, it's Misha who can't get a job that either he paid for or a heller didn't give him.
It's Jared who was given a choice of jobs before Supernatural even ended, whose show was fought over by CBS and the CW, who's starring in, and producing the most successful show on the CW (which is getting better ratings than even Supernatural did in it's final season). So... how are those bitter grapes tasting?
Kudos to you for trying to make it sound like your not one of Misha's gullible minions, but you've hit all of the heller points (and obviously, I might add). I've probably spent too much time answering because this was clearly a bait question, but maybe you can see how brainwashed you've become, then take a step back and look at reality.

this might be a weird thought but the way jensen performs masculinity (and i KNOW it’s a performance cause like, have you SEEN the mockumentary?) is just.... so inherently queer to me lmao
ok. okokokokokok. you asked for this. i have a LOT of thoughts on this. it’s gonna be under a cut because i’m gonna be annoying and psychoanalyse a celebrity i’ve never met(and hope i never do) but trust and believe when i tell you i know what i’m talking about so
Tumblr media
you want my opinion? here goes. there is absolutely no way jensen ackles is straight. i hear you, ‘how do you know that he’s bi? that’s invasive and creepy’ but may i counter that point by saying how do you know he’s straight???? why is the default for everyone heterosexual? that’s a toxic mentality to have; ‘oh you don’t know for sure so just treat him like he’s 100% straight just in case’ like....what? heteronormativity drives me wild i’m sorry
and also, um, just to, um, prove my point that this man is decidedly not straight™(i really don’t want to do this but like it has to be said) we KNOW he’s not straight because his d*ck has spoken for itself around misha, like, four times. I HATE SAYING IT!!!!!!! but, um, straight men don’t get aroused by men. ...do i really need to explain myself further???? that’s what i thought(and don’t give me the ‘it could have been for unrelated reasons’ or ‘that wasn’t a boner!’ crap because um good lord yes it was and misha caused every single one so no it wasn’t a coincidence i’m gonna move on before i collapse into myself like a dying star)
anyway, on to the topic at hand which is jensen and his performative masculinity. and it’s a juicy one.
after the unconscious amount of hours i’ve put into watching and subconsciously judging jackles, i have come to the conclusion that like, 90% of how he presents himself and talks and even moves is an act. it’s a facade. it’s a shield. he is not that person. it actually seems exhausting, because he tries to compose himself in this macho, manly, confident and effortlessly cool way, but he’s not that person he desperately wishes he was and wants to be perceived as. he’s on guard every second, even the slightest tilt of his head is like, pre-meditated in some way? if i’m going FULL body language analyst mode, i’ve noticed he has a certain posture he always shifts himself into, and it’s very ‘pursed lips, stoic faced, gruff voiced, square-shoulder, broad and manly’ but, not to be rude jensen, it kind of reads as a little kid imitating the adults he thinks are cool? oof i am going IN huh(it’s out of love though i promise)
he is trying to be this person at every second:
Tumblr media
because that’s who he wishes he was, because that’s how he gets validation from the people around him that he looks up to; straight white guys. but to me, who he presents himself to be at conventions is just as much of a performance as this whole eye of the tiger bit is.
oh i should mention i know his body language isn’t naturally like that because how he naturally carries himself is actually pretty flamboyant? like he seriously must be toning himself down HARD
examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there’s no tension in his body here as opposed to the eye of the tiger gif. i’d describe it as...generally loose and free? he’s at ease when he moves like that and you can see it.
oh and dude!!! DUDE!!!! how could i not mention the fucking SPECTACLE that is his voice??? jensen. i watched season one. i know where your voice naturally sits. THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU SOUND LIKE. and there have been so many accounts of fans visiting jensen in his trailer and being surprised that his real voice is two octaves higher. again, his performance of masculinity is all encompassing. he can’t even talk normally because, in his mind, that’s a chink in his armour.
and, like you said, anon, this whole smokes-and-mirrors gong show of ‘i am the cool texan man’ is inherently queer. who are you trying to impress??? guys??? that’s pretty gay dude.(btw: gay[honorary])
i feel like i’ve already read this man for filth but i have to keep going bc i have so much to say
ok next thing i’m gonna talk about is how jensen says one thing but everything else about him tells us the exact opposite. another HUGE element of performative masculinity, ONE THAT DEAN WINCHESTER IS A MASTER OF. have i mentioned how dean and jensen are like mirrors of each other when it comes to their sexuality and queer identity??? because it is fascinating how everything i say about jensen also directly applies to dean.
allow me to introduce the grumpy face™. as in, the face he glues on when he’s enjoying doing something but doesn’t want to let anyone know it. and it’s ALWAYS when he’s doing something that could be seen as unmanly in any way. (and when i say manly i mean the ‘ideal’ version of manhood that doesn’t really exist but that jensen seems to be striving for[and dean too])
prime example is this video he did with daneel. the grumpy face™ doesn’t budge the whole time as he’s like,,,,playing an instrument and acting like he doesn’t want to bc i guess that’s too girly??? but i also find this video fascinating because the joke IN it is kind of that they’re both poking fun at him for being so insecure about playing a freaking flute. because, i mean, he gets into it, but he wants you to think he is not.
also this picture.
Tumblr media
what is this. i hate them. jensen is smushing himself into misha’s forehead but noooo his face is telling us ‘i hate this’ because CLEARLY he does. also misha’s so happy ew gross
he does that face in photo ops with misha ALL THE TIME but how many times has he also literally asked the con goers if he can also have those photos on his phone too? because of course he actually loves touching misha and is actually a sentimental fool but he tries so hard to hide it and fails so spectacularly.
oh and this. and of COURSE this. actually let’s talk about the hitch kiss for a hot minute because it’s a perfect example of exactly what i’m talking about
(he is so transparent guys. he tries so hard but he’s so obvious.)
1. misha was never supposed to be onstage with him. so it’s a boldface LIE and OBVIOUS PLOY TO GET MISHA TO KISS HIM when he says ‘they’d like us to make out now’. but of course the way he says it is ‘oh my god can you believe what these crazy panel people are making us do haha but i mean what they say goes amirite’. same energy as ‘oh my god did you just dare us to kiss rn???’ ‘....no i didn’t’ ‘oh my god i can’t believe you’d ask that haha but i can’t say no to a dare lol’ it’s the SAME THING
2. the fact that he was in the worst mood before misha came onstage and FAKE KISSING HIM made him feel...SO?? much better? like not just a little better a lot better like, again, that says a lot, because if they weren’t dating he would not be in a better mood if misha kissed his cheek unprompted. bc that cheek kiss wasn’t a joke it was a genuine sign of affection and AHHHH
3. after the kiss happens. you know, the one that jensen actively leans into and is smiling like an idiot the whole time through and is quite clearly having the time of his life during....he says ‘well, that was uncomfortable’. .......my guy. um. i don’t know how to tell you that i do in fact have eyes and you are NOT pulling the fast one you think you are
like i’m so sorry jensen but i have you pegged. it’s literally no use.
god there’s so many instances of him doing this with misha specifically. the whole ‘ew gross lol’ but then everything about him tells us the exact opposite. like this(i hate this. how dare he say ‘he has though, hasn’t he?’ LIKE THAT?????)
so yeah my point with that is he really wants us to think he is one thing when he is the antithesis of what he’s trying to be. he really likes those things that he talks down about, and everything he’s loudly projecting is all to hide how he really feels. he went to a gay bar with daneel, for crying out loud. he wants to play a role in drag. he’s queer and he likes it. pov: you’re jensen ackles train of thought: ‘ok so i really like this thing that people might make fun of me for or call me gay for liking so if i just say ‘lol as if’ and make a grossed-out face they will be FOOLED. i am a genius. hey misha wanna blow on my ear lol i meAN GROSS EW’
i have two more things i want to talk about when it comes to this topic so PLEASE bear with me anon this is why you took so long to answer clearly lmao
ok so we’re now going to go over my favorite hot take of all time. which is ‘how do we know dean’s performing masculinity? because sam isn’t.’ only replace dean with jensen and sam with jared and oh my god do we ever have a case
jared is as STRAIGHT as they come. he is secure in that knowledge. and that’s why he is perfectly comfortable treating misha like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and not try to scream ‘i am not enjoying doing this!!!!!!’ at us. because he doesn’t care what we think of his sexuality like jensen does(because he has nothing to hide whereas jensen DOES)
something i found the other day that no one has brought up but i SCREAMED upon finding it is this one clip THAT I CAN’T FIND OH GOD but i promise i’m not making it up. i can’t believe i can’t find it guys it is gold. i need need NEED to talk about it. and if anyone knows what i’m referencing and can apply links in any way i will love you forever but here’s what happens off the top of my head:
ok so i’m a bit too braindead to explain it perfectly but um basically it’s a j2 panel and someone brings up magic mike and i think jared says ‘yeah i didn’t watch it’ and then jensen says ‘all the way through’. stupid joke. whatever. the joke is that jared is gay for watching magic mike.
and then i literally kid you not. jared gets this like ‘jesus christ ok dude? lol’ look on his face and then goes ‘projecting much, mr. ackles?’ and jensen gets a guilty look on his face and walks away. and jared did not say it as a joke. he was being dead pan and earnest. and jensen knew it too, he knew he was projecting. i wish i could show you guys the clip i promise if i ever find it i’ll link it but IS THAT NOT SO DAMNING FOR JENSEN????? like come ON. also proves my point that when you compare how they feel about watching magic mike. jared doesn’t care bc watching it just doesn’t interest him, but he also thinks that just watching it in itself doesn’t make you gay. jensen however.......has a different mindset, clearly.
‘projecting much, mr. ackles?’ is actually a great title for my next and FINAL section(we’re almost there folks) which is how jensen projects his insecurites about his own sexuality and relationship with misha onto misha.
i hope by now we’ve all seen this video of jensen impersonating cas. it is a blatant microaggression on his part. and like obviously homophobic. it’s like in his mind if he makes fun of them for being gay it makes them both less gay somehow??? it’s self-deprecation in a way??? let’s just tell it like it is: that impression was just jensen’s overt internalized homophobia rearing it’s ugly head. he does it a LOT too when it comes to misha.
i mean:
Tumblr media
and that whole mess where he’s making fun of misha for being a bottom in their panel in 2016? ‘so you’re saying, like with football terms, there’s a handler and there’s a receiver heheheehe’ jensen you’re not exempt from being gay just because you know football terms lmao
oh and his OTHER impression of misha where he mocks him for...bicycling...because it’s not a manly enough sport??? jensen NO ONE else has ever thought this hard in their lives about what constitutes as masculine enough to be a sport before. that’s all you bud. we don’t find those jokes nearly as funny as you do. you are reaching, sir
the good news is that misha thinks it’s hilarious and knows it’s projecting on jensen’s part and will tease him endlessly for it. many stories come to mind, like that one photo op story where they’re literally dressed in rainbow banners and pride stickers but when misha goes to hold his hand jensen said something like ‘no way’ and then misha stepped back, put his hands on his hips and went ‘that’s the part that’s too gay for you???’ and jensen LOST it
or when that whole underwear thing happened(messy messY MESSY BTW) and then a fan asked a question about what dean and cas would do in rome and misha just said ‘when in rome’ and jensen makes a face like ‘are you serious’ and then misha says ‘you can’t look at me like that anymore, because of what you did!!!!!!’
OH and that whole story about when misha suggested they put jensen in the closet for that cat video....yeah um
and then when jensen was asked to do bisexual finger guns for a photo op and the con goer said ‘he looks bisexual here’ and misha literally said ‘oh he definitely looks bisexual here. i would say he’s actually closer to the gay side of the spectrum’ so..um...make with that as you will
OH MY GOD i’m finally done. wow. WOW. that was a lot. i hope i’ve blown your minds. ty anon i really wanted to talk about this and i hope you’re happy with the outcome!!!!!!

re: your tags on that post about jensen’s hesitation with the finale. i was just realizing that this morning..... no one was on jackles’ side when he had doubts. of course that included j*red. if BOTH leads said something’s not right, regardless of “take it or leave it,” or at least both agreed they needed to feel the same positive feeling, things might’ve been different. jensen was told he was “too close” to the story, but he was the only one advocating on behalf of its legacy (besides some others, i won’t blame everyone). clearly he ended up being right because he’s so close. people talk about him betraying others, but i wish they’d realize he has the means and is legally within his right to get the ending or expand however he wants. if others were satisfied with the finale, why should he feel obligated to include them. 🤷‍♀️ and didn’t robbie leave because of controversy? from charlie’s death or something? i heard about it, but can’t confirm. if true, it wouldn’t surprise me jackles brought him on due to a shared understanding of wanting creative freedom and a team they could lean on.
right?! like truly its insane to me actually how there is any blame on him for not telling J*red. the man point blank said the finale was his favorite episode of the entire 15 season show. meanwhile, Jensen is upset and gets told his reaction isn't even valid.
not to parasocial but also to parasocial but like can you imagine that scenario. literally I think his words were that he called Dee and said "every other person in that room was on board," like what is he supposed to do? and she says call Eric. then Eric says he's too close to it (in a damn email no less). like fuck at least Misha listened to us when were upset as fans, can you imagine not being thrilled with the ending of a character you invested 15 years of your life and career in and having those feelings of disappointment simply brushed aside by everyone directly involved? (I mean I'm sure Misha listened and was supportive but at the end of the day still. what a shitty feeling.). I'm glad he gets to take Dean back, and I'm glad he gets to choose who's involved this time. he deserves it. like he trusted these people instead of his gut, and he's going with his gut this time AND HE IS RIGHT TO.
also, I don't remember the full details of Robbie leaving but I'm pretty sure a lot of it had to do with creative decision making and his disagreement w a few things that were happening for Sure. anyone have the lore?

Am i weird if i think people is being a little bit unfair to Misha? because i don't think he was queerbaiting all along or pretending to be someone he wasn't, i think that all this time what he was trying to do was to create a space where everyone could feel safe, and seen and accepted. And his, sexuality wasn't suposed to be more important than whatever his favorite color is, or any other of his other preferences.
He was just treating everyone as equals, and he was also entertaining us, because breaking news! he's the performer artist and we are the fans.
Yes is super valid to feel hurt over his mistake, but he owned to it and he apologized.
seriously we are talking about Misha, he has done a lot for this world, and he has helped a lot of people. We know he's a good person, and he clearly never intended to hurt anybody.
Yeah indeed so like, anyone who says he was 'queerbaiting' is automatically ignored in my book because you can't queerbait in real life. That absolutely cannot happen.
i agree! he is a good person has done a lot of good, inspired many, motivates many more, and having a safe space for fans to talk about stuff seemed to always be something he wanted to give to people.
sexuality should never matter and what happened two weeks ago was really ridiculous all across the board but i think it is starting to dye down thankfully
