My redesign of Opaline Arcan, from the not such a hit netflix show, Make Your Mark.

I based her design off of a dragon fruit, seeing as I had wanted her to be bright, but stick close to her dragon theme.

Even though her name is closer to water. And she’s really a dragon fire alicorn.

There are so many issues with her, I doubt that a single post could reveal all the rage that I have against this so called “Queen”

Okay but Discord cares so much about Twilight. Like I think Twilight is easily his second favorite pony ever after Fluttershy. Yes freeing the big fucking villains was like... a genuinely stupid ass idea but he did it out of a place of genuine care towards Twilight because he wants to see her succeed. Like yeah, Twilight cannot fucking stand him, but even she cares about him greatly and I wish the show had expanded on their relationship more.

when people used to say “You can tell when Hasbro started pandering to bronies” about FiM’s run, I used to say that wasn’t true at all. now I’m rewatching the series and yeah lol you can definitely feel the shift

Yeah it's kinda just Fandom Pandering: The Episode #which tbf is what it was Intended to be as like a 'thank you' for 100 episodes and stuff #but like. man. how did they get away with that lmao #not to mention how violent the villain fights got as the series progressed #and other things like that #i do think overall the series benefitted from having lots of adults that cared about it but i guess it wasnt without its growing pains #in any case it doesnt seem to have affected G5 at all bc they went right back to 'kids are stupid we dont need to put any effort in' lol

"I'm sure I just told her to go in the everfree forest, but I reckon she didn't even go." Applejack gasped and ran downstairs. "AHH! I have to find her! What If she's hurt or dead or r8ped?!" "Yeah I'm just gonna eat this breakfast." Applejack galloped past the barn, looking everywhere nearby for her sister. "Rainbow, how long has it been since you made her leave?" MLP G5 redesign!! it really irked me how similar some of their colours, hair, and names were- so I tried my hoof at sprucing up their designs!! notes under the cut

zipp storm is now ziggy storm, because zipp and pipp are just. too similar imo (also. subtle david bowie reference)

izzy moonbow is more blurple to distinguish her from pipp!! I also changed her cutiemark to match her name a little more

I gave the three types of ponies different tails!! pegasi have bird-like tails to aid in flying, unicorns have more accurate tails to their mythology, and earthponies have the classic horse tails (: unicorns also have cloven hooves because its cute!!!

I changed all their cutiemarks a little!! I felt the original designs were all too similar to each other, so I tweaked the colours too

I gave them all different body types because they totally could have done that, the only reason they didn't is most likely because it'd be harder/more expensive to make the toys...

made sunny's eyes brown!!! the world needs more brown eyed protagonists...

I gave hitch long hair for the sole reason that I'm upset that they gave the male ponies plastic hair in the toy line... that just sucks
