as for motives, this is season 2 discord, so this is mostly selfish (( i mean.. he didnt even go check on everyone )) but once confirming he can get all the elements of harmony, and wait for celestia to croak from the virus, he plans on retaking his throne, maybe with fluttershy as a pet... he does have a soft spot for her after all.

MLP Redesign (Minuette)

So me and my bestie (you know who you are) keep dragging each other back into mlp and the two of us can draw. SO. We’ve challenge ourselves to redesign Twilight’s friends back from in the academy. So here’s my first one under the cut if you’re interested:

Not to make ourself suffer TOO much, we decided each to do two and Minuette was my first one. So here she is. I like to headcanon in this redesign that she’s half pegasus as in one of her parents’ a unicorn and the other a pegasus. It just seems right idk.

I’m watching FiM right now, and while I knew that derpy first appeared -with her trademark Wonky Eye at least- in the background when Twilight drank the hot sauce; I never knew that Bon Bon, Lyra, and Colgate all also appear in the same shot. Lyra is even on screen twice at the same time; once in the foreground, and in the background.

fact one: In MLP, the CMC's are the first recorded case of ponies having the same (or, close enough) Cutie Marks (honorable mention to AppleBloom's nightmare about bugs tho)

fact two: Minuette and Dr.Whooves both have hourglass Cutie Marks

conclusion: Minuette and Dr.Whooves are different reincarnations of the same time-traveling pony. Minuette spends every Ponyville visit trying desperately to avoid crossing her old self's timeline, not for paradox reasons, but because she cringes at his failurecore attempts at time travel.

TEN GAZILLION PONY ATTACK!!!!! this is a part 2 of my subtle animation-friendly redesigns!!! I only made changes that could have happened in the show. hair gradients can be seen in cadence, and white markings on sunburst, for example.
