Me 🤝 other anon about Zelda 2 and ss/the DS games

I‘m convinced a lot of people here will vote on certain games not because they actually played them and disliked it, but because they heard they’re bad and just believe it, or on the off-chance they did play it, already went in with those negative reviews in mind and so only focused on them while playing. I like to call it the water temple/MM3D syndrome XD

Anyways, got any predictions for the top games? Mine is that either botw or mm64 will be first place!

Yeah! I played MM 3ds and it was AMAZING. I can play the n64 version on nso (when I have some time) but didn't see anything wrong with the 3ds version.

The ds games are underrated. Spirit tracks is heavily forgotten or mistaken for a game featuring the same Link from ww (Wind for us LU fans), though they definitely aren't, a d the story is great! And playable Zelda! And zelink! And an enemy-to-ally ark!

As for predictions... I kinda got to know what the majority of people in the fandom "think". Some will make sure TP will be in the top 5 (it's a cool game but not my favorite), probably MM will be in the first 3 (and yes the 64 version because of the huge amout of hate for the 3ds version), I know some people will yeet sksw because of the "eww motion controls suck" or "linear story sucks" false beliefs when they haven't even played it ;) And of course some people who have only played botw will want to make it win, the same applies for totk.

I know the poll isn't going to be the most truthful because of these popular beliefs :( But at least I'm trying to get as many people to join as possible

well i finally played Megaman Legends 2

after playing MM64 as a lil' kid and being absolutely obsessed for a while with it. I don't think I knew Legends 2 existed until well into college.

I think the first game had a better sense of mystery to it despite not having quite the production value of the second, but that could just be rose-tinted glasses, i dunno. The final boss definitely isn't as cool--but there was no way it could stand up to using Bach's Little Fugue in Gm. Unmatched choice. I can still feel the N64 stick chafing my palm as I tried to cheese that thing when I hear that song...

Anyway watching the post-credits scene made me sad. In my ideal world, the Battle Network collection sells like hotcakes and someone decides that all the spinoffs deserve love... not just the ones that already got a million games :V. Anyone ever get a fangame off the ground...?

playing mm64 and ofc theres various differences but OMGG one of the bombers jumps off a ledge with a cucco like thats so clever..... aww i wished they kept that in the 3ds version. thats such a neat way to teach cucco mechanics
