hii lovelies, I really wanted to do something big for this milestone but as always, time isn't on my side, so we're doing a few little activities instead that were very much inspired by one of @mirclealignr 's celebrations- thank you so so much for 1.5k my darlings <33

i might’ve gotten a little carried away

charlie couldn’t help but notice the skip in your step, the confidence in your stride all day. he wishes he hadn’t; wishes he hadn’t opened his big mouth and asked what had his favorite assistant so cheery today; wishes you hadn’t told him you had a date tonight.

ever since you’d stepped foot in forks, the chief of police had been smitten with you. at times it seemed the whole town had noticed but you, but charlie knew you'd caught on. how could you not when he brings you donuts every week? and when he doesn’t make a fuss when you misplace one of his files and instead helps you search for it? and when he laughs at your every quip, no matter how miniscule or childish?

charlie knew you knew, but his insecurities often got the best of him. what would a young, gorgeous thing like you want with an old grumpy man? this was better, safer. he’d been living on crumbs of your affection, and he’d made peace with it. 

that was, until now.

he wasn’t planning on doing this, on standing up from his chair in the office, on calling your name just as you were heading out the door. “yeah, boss?” you ask.

“don’t go on that date.” he blurts out, his eyes wide as he feels himself about say what he’s been dying to for ages.

you don’t seem very surprised, only hesitant as you carefully shut the door behind you, scared one false move will spook the man in front of you. “why?”

“you know why.” charlie sighs, a stern look on his face that tells you he means what you think he does. but a look isn’t enough, not for you.

“say it.” you demand quietly, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.

charlie can’t help but roll his eyes at that. “oh, come on.”

“oh, would you look at the time? i better get -”

“i love you!” charlie exclaims, coming up to you in one swift movement. “i’ve loved you since the beginning, alright? is that what you wanna hear? i know i’m older and i’m a grump but if you’d just give me a chance i -”

you tug him in by the collar till his lips are hovering near yours. “i love you more, you old grump.” you smirk as you kiss him with a passion.

blog recs for matty are so hard because we have mostly the same moots so it's literally just me jumping between all of your blogs ksdfj, but I do know that @gxtitobxby writes for him too, mostly smut so I've not read anything, but sof's writing is always brilliant so I'd definitely check her out, especially her daydreaming tag- literal gold <33

the band has just finished their set, heading backstage instantly. you've been one of their sound technicians for a week or so, and you couldn't help but swoon whenever they were near. well, whenever remus was near.

his bass is still hanging from his lanky frame, his sandy hair plastered to his forehead and chest still heaving from the adrenaline.

you haven't eaten much today, too busy running around verifying all the equipment works properly for the boys' big concert. finally, you think. now you finally have a chance to get a bite. something flickers in your mind, telling you to ask remus to join you. maybe it's the high from the concert or maybe you’ve finally had enough of pining for him in silence. either way, you’re walking up to him and tapping his shoulder until he turns to face you, a giddy smile on his face.

“yes?” he asks, and you were sure you were going to say something. but then the room starts spinning, and you’re not so sure.

“hey, there.” remus coos gently as your eyes flutter open. you’re still a bit woozy but from what you can tell you’re in his trailer, the light bulbs bathing the room in warm hues. “how are you feeling, dear?”

“i’m alright.” you groan as you sit up on your elbows. “uh, what happened exactly?”

“you fainted…straight into my arms.” remus can’t help but chuckle. “you know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”

humiliation washes over you as you cup your hand over your mouth. “shit, i’m sorry! i just, i hadn’t eaten much today cos i was so busy. i was gonna ask you if you wanted to grab a bite with me and then-then i fainted, i guess.”

remus’ nods in understanding, and an uneasy silence fills the room.

“does that offer still stand?” he asks shyly. “also, can you still stand?”

“yes.” you smile in return. “and also yes.”

nah twilight for sure, i legit haven't even seen a full twilight movie but i know all the plot points just from videos of people making fun of it. i love mocking it, i'd just be there by your side laughing my ass off at absolutely everything that happens, especially when he's like "iT's tH SkIn oF a KiLLeR BeLLa" and screaming whenever carlisle or charlie are on the screen
