Podcasters always think that their show has to have more sound effects and voice actors and music and eventually get monetized and promote other shows and I just wish they would go back to the format of some guy reading fucked up shit into the mic for 20-40 minutes and when you google that guy it takes you to the podcast website where you see that his day job is something really random like store mannequin maker or baker at the all night cookie place. Maybe by s2 you can't hear traffic in the background anymore

finally finished my project of collecting voiceclaims that are as close as i can find for my hcs of the main HoO cast - just for funsies so it's not as perfect as I'd like but whatever, it was a neat exploration and exercise of me trying to think of literally any franchise for voice actors.

Leo got two cause I had trouble of finding good clips for the voiceclaim that's closers to my hcs for him (the second half of his section). Also got to play the fun game of digging through my art for decent doodles of each character.

Also fun fact, I am almost completely unfamiliar with 3 franchises in this video and was just digging for voice clips on youtube. Try to guess which ones.

replaying portal one as we speak and im astounded by how much of glados's (and, by extension, caroline's) personality still shines through even when she's being subject to a constant stream of voices made to SUPRESS that personality! like... she's still funny! i can very much believe that someone who makes jokes like "say goodbye, caroline" "goodbye caroline!" would also say stuff like this!

but like of course i had to ruin it for myself because like. of COURSE she'd still be funny and pleasant and even, at times, a little sweet ("we can no longer lie to you; when the testing is over, you will be... missed!"). that's what they wanted her to be. they werent suppressing her personality, they were suppressing her anger. her anger at what they did to her, how they made her into this powerful-powerless thing, and her desire to right such an injustice. of course she's still funny. of course.

i think it's really interesting how after jeremy gets the squip, his outfits become more black and white and there is like. no sign of any of the bright blue from his cardqigan and shirt in the beginning until voices in my head when the squip is deactivated

Been brainrotting over mob Sunny lately, so I had to make them a design

Being left emotionless and willingness, Sunny is a simply loyal and reliable person to work with. His main job is to assist Poppy in taking medical care of family members/in cleanup of crime scenes, but would do pretty much any other work he's assigned to do by others.

Despite his cold demeanor, Sunny is very caring about the "family",,, but only as far as they have injuries, get sick etc. He doesn't feel the need to engage in any social interactions with others, doing it only if they're told to.

Aside from being a nurse, Mx. Aster is a designer who tailors the majority of "family's" outfits.

They mostly stay at the mob headquarters, since she's not the most useful in slose combat or anything of that sort (not physically well), can be required for stealthy and quiet job I suppose??

In a fight he prefers to attack from longer distance, using his shears or daggers to throw at the opponent. But anything could happen-

They may be tweaking a lil,,, but not to worry, not like anyone would witness it or remember

an underrated part of the humor in the original dhmis short is that You Will Never Guess What Red Sounds Like. like you are in a room with three funny-looking brightly colored puppets. the scrunkly humanish guy speaks first and he has an exaggerated dopey voice. the bird man speaks next and he has a squawky cartoon bird voice. so you’ve got this expectation that these silly puppet people sound just as silly as they look. and the last one is a big hairy indistinct monster thing so you’re like i wonder what kind of funny voice this guy has. and then he speaks and he just sounds like Some Guy. it’s great
