Her Moon

“Her body could only be compared to a sea at rest. Soft, caressing and splendid. Each breath made her chest rise and fall like the tide, mimicking the motion of steady waves as they made their way gently inland, lapping lazily at the shore. I admired the idea of being the moon to her tide. The closer my presence, the more I affected her quiet and rational state of being. The idea that if I could reach out and touch her in the slightest way, I wouldn’t cause mere ripples. Our tension and passion would spill out in the form of waves that would make even the most steadfast and weathered sailors tremble. The closer I got, the more the anticipation grew, the more her body would give her away. The lazy little flicks of water lapping at the shore would certainly be no more. In there place, colossal and ever growing waves, pounding at the shore to the beat of her heart. The very heart that was racing at the thought of me. A beautiful storm would rage and swell in her as we drew closer. The waves stretching higher as if she reached for me, her moon. She would eventually surrender to me. She couldn’t deny the pull I knew we both felt. There was an undeniable attraction. A burning need that filled our days and nights, I knew it. I couldn’t be the only one imagining what it would be like. How it would feel. How the sharp exhale between her breaths would sound like the waves capping and crashing to the sand, to their end. To her end. How she’d draw her breaths as if she’d been holding it for the longest time and look to me with exhausted admiration. Her eyes alight and saying everything for her as she quieted and drifted off.. her sea at rest once more.

Oh, how I adore the idea of being the moon, making love to a beautiful sea..”
