Just read the new berserk chapter (I think you’ve seen it) and what is going on with Casca I wonder? Is she being brainwashed? My heart was crushed when she called out for Guts, that shit was rough. Griffith keeps on being a dick but that shouldn’t be a surprise. Interested in your thoughts thxxx

No, I don't think it's brainwashing, but rather that Casca is unfortunately being drugged (likely through food and beverage)...

...which is why her memories of her friends feel like a dream.

As to why Griffith's side drugged her, it's most likely because she initially tried to fight against everyone in the castle in order to run away:

Friendly reminder that the reason Griffith abducted Casca back on the island is probably because his own vessel (the moonlight child aka the demon infant) constantly escaped during full moons in order to meet with her. So drugging Casca and jailing her in Falconia's castle will probably allow Griffith to keep a tighter, more secure grasp over his own vessel for the upcoming full moons.

Also it's reassuring to me that, while Casca recently woke up from her "Elaine" state and started to recover, the shock of being abducted by Griffith as well as being drugged by him for now don't seem to be enough to push her back into that psychological hellhole.

If anything, we're shown that she particularly clings onto her memories of Guts...

...most likely because she understands/remembers how much he protected her (since deep down in her dreams, he was the dog relentlessly dragging her coffin around and protecting her from the creatures drawn by their brands), but also he's a reason for her to fight, because she greatly cares about him.

In other words, she depends on Guts' protection, because he's stronger than her, but interestingly, she also seems aware that Guts' sanity depends on her presence by his side (unless the wording or the translation are off?).

Anyway, I can't say I enjoy reading about Casca's agency being taken away from her again, so recently after she had just gotten it back even, but... Luca is in Falconia and I also believe that Charlotte will remember Casca from when they went to save Griffith together so :))) maybe Casca will be able to find some allies in Falconia !

A random thing I made today

I don’t really know what it’s supposed to mean, it was just a funny image in my head

I’m trying to articulate what my thoughts for this were. So far I think the basis is “Moonlight Boy and Griffith share a body”, “Moonlight Boy is supposed to be like the one flaw in Griffith’s plan, given his compassion for his parents and the fact he’ll take over the body to see them”, and “Moonlight Boy is powerful enough to take over the body on the night of the full moon despite him being a toddler and his opponent being basically a deity”. Oh and also that I think despite Griffith bringing Casca to Falconia, the Moonlight Boy is still going to cause problems for him, either by helping Guts with whatever he’s doing or trying to help Casca escape Falconia, and so this two year old is just creating more problems

I realize I forgot the chess board. I drew it, but I took it out for a bit because I wanted the “losing” to also apply to Moonlight Boy foiling Griffith’s plans, but now I realize that it makes the “eating the pieces” part make no sense. I mean the meme is known, so you’ll probably get it, but still. Eh, I’ll add it in later

Also fun fact, I had to completely redo this drawing, because I couldn’t figure out how to get the text to look right. It had proper lineart and color, and it was basically just edited into the original picture, but then I did this version instead. Though to be honest, I do prefer the expressions in this version, and I actually could draw some form of Griffith’s armor and hair (regular lineart was too big). I might show it later, I dunno. But that’s also why the picture is so darn small

But yeah, it was just this idea of “small child is inexplicably able to match a god” that I thought was funny

“Gonna fuck you full, you’ll be feeling me and Zhongli for days.” Childe thoughtlessly rambled, biting his lower lip as he continued to thrust against your ass. “So good for us, dearest. Let us make you feel so good.”

They moved you on your bed, and good couldn’t even describe how they made you feel that night.
