I think I've found my photostory mojo again, and I've finally started to work on something I've wanted to do for a long time: do a set (well, will likely end up multiple sets) for the events directly after the heist. I figured this would also be a good return to photostories since I've got some built-in plot structure to work with rather than creating everything from scratch (although there will be some of that, too.)

Day 5: Not you again

This was everything Gabriel had dreamed of: to be enrolled in the Royal College of Music, to touch the same ivory and ebony keys all of his favorite pianists had played before him, to make his family back in Portugal proud. But every dream had a catch. During the entire first year, he would have to share a dorm room with one Arthur Kirkland. The same Arthur Kirkland that had been suspended the year before, some saying because he had initiated a brawl at a local pub and put three men in the hospital, others said it was for drug possession and that he had a secret stash hidden somewhere in the room, and some even told him it was because he was affiliated to the anarchist party and was plotting to take down the government. But they all agreed on one thing: Arthur Kirkland was trouble. And a bright young man like himself should not get involved with him. Not that Gabriel planned to. Not that Gabriel wanted to. But the first time he saw him, three weeks into his new life living his dream and still adjusting to the new country and the new language, when Kirkland showed up at their shared room with his hands stuffed deep in his leather jacket and shoulder hiked up to his ears, a bruise the size of an orange on the side of his face, his boots tracking mud on the carpet, casting a warning snarl in Gabriel’s general direction daring him to say anything about it, all Gabriel could think of was that some roses developed thorns to protect themselves. It didn’t make them any less beautiful.

i think we finally found something we have different opinions on because i physically cant see this before izuku's crush realization for me.

i just really like the idea of like when monoma and izuku sorta become buddy buddy with their shared quirk enjoyment Izuku starts to become endeared by the little things (and even the things he used to think were lowkey annoying) that monoma would do when they spend time together.

AND LIKE WHEN 1-A QUESTION"S IZUKU OR SHITS ON MONOMA IZUKU IS LIKE "guys he's actually really sweet" and someone would be like

"no he just has a soft spot for you"

and like,,, he does. monoma like absolutely refuses to admit it but he really does think that izuku is just amazing. better than him in every way. which fuels his inferiority complex but also has this mixed in admiration and it messes with monoma's head SO BAD because hes supposed to hate this boy.

he wants to be around izuku but he wants to run away from his as fast as he can when hes nearby. he wants to love him but it would never work because izuku is thousands of miles ahead of him in everything, so why would he ever look back at monoma? why would he ever choose him out of all people. its impossible, so its better to hate him then to get himself hurt by wishing on a star that doesn't even exist.

and then with Midoriya, he probably thinks that monoma lowkey dislikes him still since he sucks at expressing feelings by anything other then being mean so its like

izuku knows that monoma likes being around him because he keeps spending time with him, but sometimes he's unsure due to the things Monoma says. (AUTISM. and his self image issues lol)

so these two are just in this never ending "he doesn't like me like that" cycle and the hypothetical readers are just like

"FUUUUCCCKKKKKKKK PLEASE JUST TALK ABOUT FEELINGS OR SOMTHING FOR ONE MINUTE I BEG"

I can't participate in any memes abt favorite ship dynamics bc literally the only ships I really like are sonadow (but only in the very specific platonic way that only caters to me) and sonknux exclusively. I do not enjoy any other ships or popular ship tropes/dynamics so much as to call anything besides what those two have going on my favorite

I think for once I would l like to see NSR content where DJSS and Neon J are just friends. No friends to lovers or even rivals/enemies to lovers, just them being friends.
