There was a time when people took him to be the jealous type --they tend to miss that his thing is: He can still ultimately accept if his crush chose somebody else. We see this quite a few times in the game.

He is more agressive in Gamma's doujins, but even there it's less being, sigh, 'yandere', than it's simply being irritated as the way things go.

One other thing that is sometimes a touch misunderstood: He tends to tease people, but only in so much as it's playful --when it matters, he's nothing but supportive of his friends. He cheers up Kounosuke after an underwhelming ending, he and Kouya do apologize to each other when their squabbling goes too far and so on.
