Former Johnny’s Jr. members and Love-tune boys are now 7ORDER
As you know, 6 of the 7 junior boys from the unit Love-tune leaving Johnny’s Entertainment between November 30th and December 31st 2018. The final member Yasui Kentaro left on 21st March 2019. From April 1st 2019 at TOKYO MX FES.2019, each of the members were making appearances together, but lacking their final member Yasui... That is until today! Today the group 7ORDER was announced with all the original members of Love-tune.
Currently we do no know which agency they belong to, but it’s incredibly exciting to see them participate in more projects!
Make sure you’re supporting the boys:
Website: https://7order.jp/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/7order_official
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHs0XM04nZ8zKZFxMIMajVA
We’ve currently opened up a new blog to support them @7order and we’ll be posting as much 7ORDER content as we can get!
We’re currently still keeping the account @love-tune and will post more images of them from their time at Johnny’s Jr.

hi there! i hope you're doing safe and well! im fairly new to the 2.5 world and i recently came across a post (somewhere i can't remember the exact location xD) that theater complex is a website to rent stage plays? could you guide me on how it works? does the rental include backstage footages as well?
Hiya! :D
I hope you're safe and well too, and welcome to the world of 2.5D! ♥ Yes, "Theater Complex" is indeed the site that hosts a collection of musicals/plays. In addition to 2.5D titles, their collection also includes non-2.5D titles that feature 2.5D actors.
Please find below the cut a simple guide on how to navigate the website.
NOTE: Google Translate works quite well in helping with the basics of the registration process and general navigation of the site. For the purpose of this post, I've activated my Google Translate and will be basing my guide on the English translation provided.
To use the site, you'll need to register for an account. Registration for the account is free (the fees will depend on the type of service that you have chosen).
To register for an account, please refer to this link: HERE
NOTE: If you don't receive the authentication email in your Inbox, please check your Spam/Trash.
Once you've registered for an account, log into your account, and you're good to go!
Generally, Theater Complex has two types of services: the monthly subscription service and the pay-per-product service.
International credit cards are accepted, but services for the site aren't available in some regions. For more information on this, please refer to this link: HERE
Monthly Subscription Service
The monthly subscription service offers a collection of musicals/plays as well as other special programmes that are available to you if you pay a monthly fee of 700 yen a month.
To get a monthly subscription, click on your profile and go to "Account Information". Scroll all the way down the page until you reach the part that says "Viewing Plan". You should also be able to see the words "Change Plan" beside it. Click on that, and it will direct you to the payment page for the monthly subscription.
Some of these are available on an unlimited time while others are available only specifically for the month that they're scheduled for.
To watch the titles/programmes, just click on the title/programme to access the page. Then, click on the "Play" button:
Tumblr media
This list of titles/programmes that are available for this service can be found: HERE
Pay-Per-Product Service
The pay-per-product service is where rentals come in. For this service, you'll be charged for the title/programme that you watch, and the price of rentals will depend on the title/programme.
Rentals are usually available for 7 days. However, be sure to double-check the expiry information on the page, which looks like this:
Tumblr media
For a clearer picture of what it looks like on the site, please refer to this link: HERE
NOTE: This is taken from the 'Rock Opera "R&J"', which features Sato Ryuji, Naka Bambi, Fujita Ray, Morohoshi Shoki and Tabuchi Rui.
To rent and watch the title/programme, just click on the title/programme to access the page. Then, scroll down until you reach this section:
Tumblr media
Click on the "Rental" button, and it will direct you to the payment page.
This list of titles/programmes that are available for this service can be found: HERE
Additional Information
Some titles are available on both services. For example, "Ochanomizu Rock -THE LIVE STAGE-":
Tumblr media
To differentiate between the two services, monthly subscription is usually marked out in green while rentals are marked out in yellow.
To provide a clearer picture, please find the links to the actual pages below.
Ochanomizu Rock -THE LIVE STAGE- (monthly subscription): HERE
Ochanomizu Rock -THE LIVE STAGE- (pay-per-view): HERE
NOTE: This stage features Sato Ryuji, Someya Toshiyuki, Araki Hirofumi and Sakiyama Tsubasa.
Backstage footage is not included (unless specified). However, some bonus features from the stage plays are available in the form of special programmes, such as this one featuring the cast of the 'Mankai Stage "A3!"': HERE
As can be seen from the link, rather than green or yellow, this programme is marked out in red:
Tumblr media
Titles/programmes that are marked in red are available to watch free of charge as long as you've registered for the free account.
Hope that helps, and enjoy! ♥

Dogu and haniwa: what you need to know
Since every time haniwa come up in media there's a lot of confusion between them and dogu, and certain conspiracies and misconceptions start spreading over and over again, I figured I'll put together a primer of sorts explaining the differences between these two types of artifacts, as well as their popculture portrayals.
Dogu come from the Jomon period, the Japanese neolithic. Haniwa are much newer, only dating back to the Kofun period, which directly precedes the introduction of Buddhism to Japan in the 6th century. While continuity between certain Jomon artifacts and Kofun ones does appear to be a thing (this holds especially true for jewelry like earrings or comma-shaped beads, magatama), this isn't true for clay figures, with the style and purpose of dogu and haniwa having next to nothing in common. Sensationalist online sources often present haniwa as an incomprehensible mystery, which isn't really true. Haniwa were occasionally discovered in the Edo period – commonly enough to become a mainstay of Japanese history books by the 1870s – but it doesn't seem they were ever considered much of a riddle. An encyclopedia from the 1870s, shown below, describes them alongside other historical pottery, and concludes they depict how people dressed in antiquity (a correct assumption; see here for some great reconstructions based on specific haniwa). The name “haniwa” comes from the Japanese chronicle Nihon Shoki, which describes them as clay figures placed in graves.
Tumblr media
The first dogu excavation I could find information about dates back to 1886, with the majority only found within the last 80 years. The name “dogu” in theory can refer to any ancient clay figures, but in English and in the specific context of Japanese archeology it only refers to the Jomon figures. Speculation about dogu is as mostly a product of modern scientific methods, and there's no dogu folklore to speak of. Most commonly dogu are thought to be votive offerings meant to heal specific injuries (many of them seem to be missing specific body parts or were damaged in some other way), fertility idols, depictions of deities or fantastical beings, or simply decorative items. Dogu are, obviously, not a proof of alien encounters. This “theory” is the work of well known charlatan (also an embezzler and tax evader; notably not a historian or scientist, though) Erich von Däniken, and his claims about dogu don't even match factual records (for instance, the “goggles” dogu are only one type of the statuettes known; they are definitely the type most commonly depicted in modern media, though, with for example both Pokemon and Digimon featuring “goggles” dogu critters). As far as I can tell, this theory isn't even particularly popular in Japan. Instead, as far as fringe claims go, there's a forgery from the 1970s claiming a dogu was used as goshintai for a local god (obviously, there's no evidence for this claim, either). This shows up in popculture quite often, of course – SMT and Castlevania (and probably many other games I'm not aware of) feature a monster called Arahabaki directly based on the aforementioned forgery, and many history manga authors are keen on making various earthly gods from the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki resemble dogu. Hoshino's and Morohoshi's fictional depictions of the god Takeminakata are a notable example:
Tumblr media
While as stated above the exact purpose of dogu is not known, we can pretty safely say what it wasn't. Haniwa are certainly funerary objects, and are generally found in burial mounds, but only 10 out of the over 18000 dogu known to us today were discovered at burial sites (source) – they tend to be among the most famous ones thanks to being better preserved than average, which might be what lead to the misconception dogu had the same purpose as haniwa. It makes much more sense to compare haniwa to the Chinese “tomb guardian beasts” (seen below) or even to the Terracotta Army.
Tumblr media
Thanks to the Animal Crossing gyroids, the most famous haniwa today are arguably the early, simplistic “dancers,” but in reality most of them are the more elaborate, more recent types: the “warriors”, “mediums,” “chieftains” as well as animal and house haniwa. For more information about the variety of haniwa forms see here.
Tumblr media
Haniwa are not related to the god Haniyasu/Haniyamahime, though the area with the most Haniyasu shrines, the modern Fukuoka prefecture, is also known for particularly elaborate Kofun era burials. The Touhou depiction of Haniyasu as notably haniwa-like is not entirely baseless:

A morbidly long post about my ocs (some of them) under the cut. I will eventually post more detailed bios.
Tumblr media
The heroines of the story... while the other characters are named already, they are not, tragically. Suit is a  a museum custodian and a researcher of religious art. Her design started as a very obvious homage to Morohoshi's iconic archaeologist character. To stay true to the inspiration behind her character, she relies on unorthodox theories proposing various connections between cultures, deities and religious movements, which tend to turn out to be true. However, despite that, she's a firm opponent of pseudoscience, forgeries and fringe political movements, and believes that study of art or religion should be equally rigorous as the study of any other topic. Beret is her best friend, currently a journalist though she'd like to become a full time writer instead. She publishes in a variety of shady occult magazines, but her actual beliefs are rather grounded, which is at times less than optimal as it makes her downplay the level to which religious and folkloric beliefs were often chaotic and incoherent. Her journalism-related activities will be how the other protagonists will learn about some of the antagonists' schemes Also, she keeps beetles and butterflies as pets.
Tumblr media
Taiko Daimyojin (a character I need to actually draw) – the first supernatural entity who enters the life of the protagonists, a god who fell from grace over and over again and maintains a presence in the moden world largely due to ongoing arguments about his nature. He's a tutelary deity of many things and maintained a wide range of identities through history. His favorite roles are these related to the performing arts, hinting at the shifts between different natures being precisely what constitutes his true nature.
Tumblr media
Tsuno – nominally a minion of the former, however due to his continuing decline she's de facto a more influential deity.  Unlike most other supernatural beings present in the story, she considers herself fully a part of the modern world and wears contemporary clothes; she's also fond of the concept of business cards (hers double as ofuda). Has the most impressive eyebrows out of the entire cast (it'd appear the “horns” of the genuine Tsuno Daishi are sometimes interpreted as eyebrows, and it does seem Ryogen, whose derivative this entity is, was himself painted with pretty impressive brows sometimes...). For all intents and purposes more or less functions as the third main character.
Tumblr media
Shirayama - a deity who thanks to her short, but impressive Nihon Shoki-based cv (mediating between Izanagi and Izanami) holds a reasonably prestigious position. She's also a devout buddhist. While she's not exactly ancient (after all the identification of the Shirayama deity with Kukurihime only dates back to medieval Tendai and Shugendo sources), she's an enthusiast of Kofun era fashion (including authentic makeup; she initially adapted it to remain relevant when the image of gods in the common perception shifted). Can fit viably well into modern society. She also collects Jomon paraphernalia. Ignore the lack of magatama-shaped eyes in image 1.
Tumblr media
Kanayako -  a blacksmith goddess who was largely dormant until recently, as she remained relevant mostly through maintaining an “alloy myth” of sorts, into which she kept incorporating new elements pertaining to manifesting blacksmith superstitions etc., which became impossible in modern times. Her followers reformed their blacksmith shop, founded thanks to secrets revealed to them by Kanayako, into a company and finally a  huge corporation through the past 200 years, with her original shrine located in the middle of the company's hq. After waking up in the present, she decides she's not actually very happy with that and, after receiving some dubious advice, attempts to reform it into a new religious movement, which presents gods as the tools of human progress; the project doesn't progress fast, as her mood swings a lot which impacts her faith in own abilities heavily (it will have enough of a reach for the main characters to come into contact with it, though). She's not very fond of most other gods due to past unhappy family experiences, and maintains a cold, logical persona in part to distance herself from them.
Tumblr media
Takamura Kikuchi – a tv personality notable for his love of many fringe claims and conspiracy theories, which he promotes on air. His most notable role is that of the host of a wacky game show, posing as a ruler of life and death during the broadcasts. His outlandish beliefs were originally a publicity stunt, but with time he embraced them fully, and is involved with many like-minded individuals in the present.
Tumblr media
Ofube – a highly controversial figure, de facto a cult leader. Like many irl figures of this sort, she picked a weird hill to die on – her cult is patterned after the tale of Ofube no O, and employs similar techniques, though adapted for the modern era. Rumor has it many other similarly shady spiritual associations hold her in high esteem.
Tumblr media
??? - a pseudohistory guru who nonetheless gets published in a variety of otherwise credible magazines and appears on regular conferences due to a variety of personal connections. Takamura is a fan of his work and featured him as a guest in his show more than once. Who is he? What is his role? More on that will eventually be revealed, worry not.

◆ Alan (Samatoki’s stage actor) being a kid & Yasui (TDD Ramuda’s stage actor) being a mom
I need a redraw of the above scenario so bad
Event: Making takoyaki
Everyone else: (uses normal ingredients in takoyaki)
Alan: (uses marshmallows without hesitance)
----
Yasui: (looking at the mess) “The marshmallow is never going to fit! It’s too large.”
SanaP: “I don’t feel like eating it anymore. It’s already overflowing.”
Alan: (softly) “... Marshmallow.”
----
Yasui: “This whole row of takoyaki has become marshmallow-filled!”
Myu: “Alan’s isn’t even making takoyaki anymore, they’re crepes.”
Alan: (concentrating really hard on flipping the takoyaki) “Yeah, crepes.”
Yasui: (mom voice) “Alan! Too early! Too early! You flipped them too early.”
Alan: (dejected) “Is this too early...”
