a long way down [1] b.barnes & s.rogers
[Warnings] dark bucky x reader, dark steve x reader, dominant/submissive, thoughts of suicide, lots of violence, death, heavy angst, zombies, the walking dead au, noncon/dubcon sex, light bondage (handcuffs), reader is a little (very) helpless, spanking, breeding kink (wear protection please)
A/N: This is for @darkficsyouneveraskedfor ‘s title prompt game!! As you can see, my title was “a long way down”. This gave me the opportunity to write the apocalypse au I’ve been putting off. It was supposed to be a drabble but I apparently can’t read because this turned into a long ass one-shot. TRIGGERING CONTENT AHEAD
In which the dead are walking, you belong to Bucky, and you stumble upon Steve’s settlement.
series masterlist
word count: 6k
The first time you met Bucky, he saved your life. He saved yours and then made you take another.
You had locked yourself in an abandoned gas station for the night. You had spent so many days running, walking further and further from your home. It was the first night in weeks that you let your guards down a little. The station had been ransacked completely but you managed to scrape a small meal of what people left behind as undesirables. It tasted heavenly.
You had actually fallen asleep knowing you weren’t going to die. You fell asleep knowing you could sleep the full eight hours.
When you awoke on the surprisingly comfortable tile floors, your worry returned abruptly. You could see through the windows that they had gathered in the parking lot. You slowly approached the windows, holding a kitchen knife tightly in your hands.
You were still wearing the blue sundress from the family barbecue you were attending before the world ended, a combat jacket you found tied around your waist. The knife belonged to the Robinson’s, a family of four, that you watched all die before your eyes.
They were the tip of the iceberg. You watched your own family die in the next few weeks and then all the members of the small group you were a part of. You should've known better than to stop running. Everyone you knew died because they got pinned somewhere and the walkers overtook them.
One of the walkers noticed your slight movement and focused on you. It limped towards the window of the front of the store and you took a cautious step back. You kept still for a moment, hoping not to attract anymore but the one walker seemed to signal the rest of his friends.
This entire town was deserted of walkers when you arrived yesterday and now it seemed to be overrun with them. You had a feeling that a herd might be passing through. You ducked behind one of the many food shelves and kneeled down. You were going to wait it out until they passed through town and realized there was no one here for them to eat.
That was the plan until more started to swarm the gas station, their moaning and groaning became even louder. Your hands were shaking as the sound of the pounding began to deafen you. You couldn’t help but consider what you would do if they broke through the glass. If you slit your own wrist and bled out then you wouldn’t feel them tearing you limb from limb.
The back door had been barricaded too heavily for you to get through. Besides, you’d most likely meet another crowd of walkers going that way.
You held the knife shakily, beads of sweat dripping down your forehead, as you tried to stop yourself from thinking that way.
Abruptly, your eyes shot open as gunshots rang in the air nearby. One pierced through the front window, sending glass shattering to the floor. You didn’t recognize them as gunshots at first, you thought walkers had finally broken through but, as you peaked around the shelf, you found yourself dead wrong.
Through the window, you saw a man moving like a shadow, firing his pistol and precisely hitting several of the walkers through their skulls. He was mesmerizing, a killing machine, and a force of energy that was foreign to you. He moved swiftly enough to dodge the blood-hungry demons that lunged for him and strong enough to knock them down and stab them through the skull before they could stand again.
He was killing them all.
You noticed the glint of a metal-like substance as your wide eyes admired his left arm. You were staring so intently that you hadn’t noticed a walker had crept its way inside and set its sights on you.
You scrambled backward, fumbling with the knife in your hand as you struggled to point it at the monster. You stood, still backing away, as he moved closer. She was an elderly woman, her body decayed, and carrying a horrible stench. The necklace around her neck was shaped like a heart. It looked like the kind that contained pictures of a loved one.
You couldn’t help but sympathize, couldn’t help but make up excuses for why you couldn’t do it. Why you couldn’t be brave. Before you could hesitate any longer, a sharp knife pierced through the woman’s skull and she collapsed before.
You stared at the shadow of the men, his towering figure, and, although his eyes were a blue crystal, they were dead.
“Are you blind or deaf?” He asked you, his voice as dark as his appearance.
You only shook your head, words not daring to leave your mouth. The man looked around the rest of the rest stop, probably noting there were barely any supplies before he sighed. He didn’t understand how you could let yourself get in such a sticky position and then not even be able to handle yourself against one of them.
“Do you have supplies?” He asked next.
You hesitantly raised a finger towards your backpack resting beside one of the shelves, “Not … not much. I just … I-I just wanted to sleep,” He noted your appearance, the insufficient and dirty clothing as well as the bags around your eyes. You were a suburban girl who was clearly out of her element, “Thank you,” You added quickly.
He didn’t acknowledge your gratitude, “I need medical supplies,” He stated firmly.
“I, uhm, I have some alcohol and bandages-”
“Grab your bag, let’s go,” Your eyes seemed to widen even more as the man turned away from you.
“W-What?” You stuttered over your words, “I don’t … I don’t know you. I’ll give you the-”
Bucky turned back, clearly annoyed, “You want to stay alone when you can’t even properly use a knife?”
You looked down at the knife in your hand. It was clean of any blood, “I was going to use it ... “
He scoffed, “What's your name, doll?”
“Y/N,” You answered, still trying to keep calm.
“Bucky,” He stated, making a move to leave once again, “You coming or not?”
You had to make a decision then. Risk life in the apocalypse alone or hope this man could protect you. What he wanted in return other than bandages, you weren’t sure yet. You huffed, deciding to grab your backpack and follow him outside.
You had to admit that you weren’t cut out for this life. You weren’t even sure how you had made it this far.
You stepped over the bodies of at least ten walkers as you stepped into the parking lot. Bucky walked toward an abandoned red truck sitting by one of the gas pumps. You watched him curiously as he discovered a walker strapped into the passenger seat. It couldn’t untangle himself from the seatbelt and was trying to throw itself out of the window.
It started to moan and growl as the two of you approached. You thought he was pulling out the pistol to put it out its misery but Bucky turned to you, holding the gun out to you, “Take it.”
“I don’t want-”
“Take it,” He stated more firmly, little patience in his eyes. You raised a shaky hand, taking it into your grip, “Hold it tight.”
To your surprise, the man came behind you, gently grabbing your arm as he showed you the proper way to hold it, “W-Why do you want me to do this?” You asked shakily. When you tried to lower it, you pushed your arms up.
“You’re going to kill it,” You turned your head, your eyes wide, “I’m not bringing you with me if you can’t even kill a walker.”
You looked at the walker again, noting the uniform he was wearing was that of a mechanic. He used to have a job, a life, probably a family, “I can’t,” You protested, “I can’t.”
“You can do it. You will do it. No one is in there, Y/N,” Bucky spoke calmly, his voice lower than you expected, “You’re doing him a favor. At least let the man’s body be free.”
Bucky let go of you after your hands were in the correct position. He noticed your shaky grip, the fact that your body was clearly going into panic mode. You hoped he didn’t notice the tears stinging in your eyes. You imagined the man’s wife and the man’s family. Would they care that you didn’t leave him be?
Bucky’s voice snapped you out of your trance, “Do it.”
You closed your eyes and fired. Silence echoed around you like the force of the gun knocked you back a step. When you slowly opened your eyes, the man’s brains were splattered on the back of his seat.
“We’ll have to work on keeping your eyes open when you fire. You got lucky,” Bucky grabbed the gun from you, holding it down by his side.
All you could do was stare at what you’d done. You shouldn’t be able to play God in this way. Monster or not, it all felt wrong, “ … I’m sorry,” You whispered to the man and to whatever family that was out there.
Bucky looked you over. He’d never met someone so afraid of killing. He was a killing machine before and after the dead rose from their graves. He saw your heartbreaking as reality was finally hitting you after all this time. You were realizing that you were nothing special, that this was your fate and everyone was eventually going to end up like the man in the truck.
“Oh, doll,” Bucky sighed, his lips pressed into a thin line, “I’m afraid it’s a long way down from here.”
+
Bucky’s latest homestead was a Motel 6 more than forty miles away from the gas station. Your mother had warned you about guys who rode motorcycles and you imagined she was rolling over in her grave now that you were on the back of Buckys. Luckily, you didn’t encounter any more packs of walkers but Bucky insisted you hurry because a pack was sure to follow after all the gunshots.
“The shower works,” Bucky spoke absentmindedly, setting a duffel bag on the single bed. He seemed to have collected a lot of supplies before he even ran into you, “Water’s cold but you can still use it.”
You nodded, clutching your backpack tightly, as you crossed the room. Bucky watched your backside as you slipped into the dirty bathroom.
What the hell were you doing? You were in a tiny motel room with a complete stranger. Now you were getting naked behind a door and you had no idea of his expectation especially since there was only a single bed.
You shook your head, setting your bag down on the sink. You pulled off your jacket and then lifted your dress above your head. You looked over your body, your sunken in features, and your shrinking figure. You reached to touch your face only to jump at the sound of a knock at the door.
“Do you need a change of clothes?” He asked you and you froze for a moment. You looked at your tattered blue dress. “A verbal answer, preferably.”
“Y-Yes, please,” You answered, cracking the door so he couldn’t see you in your underwear. Bucky handed you the pile of cloth and you gave a weak smile as you closed the door back. Looking back in the mirror, you let out a breath of air you didn’t know you were holding.
You set the clothes down before turning on the shower. You took the time to clean yourself and some of your items as well. You thought maybe you could get the blood and dirt out of your dress and it would remind you again of happy times. You set it out to dry on the towel rack.
The clothes he gave you consisted of a plain black t-shirt that fit way too big for you. As you searched for more, you realized that it was all he had given you. It fit like a dress but you couldn’t help but wonder if his mind was elsewhere. You grabbed your backpack and jacket before exiting the bathroom.
You found that he had made himself comfortable, the gray shirt he was wearing was tight enough to illuminate his muscles as well as the metal arm. He was cleaning his knife when he looked up to see you standing awkwardly.
“Come here,” Again, he spoke like you were a minuscule thought in his mind. You took a few steps closer. “Are you going to prance around me like a baby doe for the rest of this relationship?”
You scoffed this time, “I’m sorry … this is new.”
Bucky didn’t seem like he was willing to wait for you to catch up to him. Things were now or never with him, “Set your things down,” For a moment, you questioned why you were following this man blindly, and then another part of you remembered what he was capable of.
Even without a threat of violence, Bucky noted your submissiveness. Your innocence could be a burden but maybe a blessing in disguise as well.
He grabbed your hand, pulling you in between his legs and you looked down at him with frightened eyes. He stilled your shaking hand with his strong one, “Should we go over how things are going to work between you and me?”
It was rhetorical but you nodded slowly.
“It’s simple. You do as I say and I won’t leave you for dead,” You understood but it was much harsher when he put it in his own words. Looking at him, you couldn’t help but notice his handsome features. The killing had blinded you to it before but now you could see it with full exposure, “You use that gun when the time comes and it will come. I don’t want to have to put you out of your misery if you get bitten.”
“I don’t know how-”
“I’ll teach you, doll,” He declared. You yelped as he suddenly grabbed your waist, flipping you onto the bed and pinning you beneath him, “A helpless thing like you should know how to protect herself.”
Bucky searched your face, calculating before his head dipped into the crook of your neck. His beard scratched your skin as he placed kisses along the sensitive skin.
“Bucky!” You struggled beneath him but you felt the strong metal of his hand press you further into the mattress, “Bucky, please.”
You felt so weak beneath him and you hated that warm feeling he sent through your body. You gritted your teeth as he kissed your chin and then his lips grazed yours, “I saved your life, Y/N, it’s the least you could do.”
You shook your head as he pressed his lips to yours. The kiss was hard, desperate, and you felt all the pent up frustration in his body. You could finally breathe when he pulled away, only for him to take soft bites of the skin on your cheek and then your ear.
“Bucky,” Your voice came out in a whisper.
“I’ll be gentle,” He assured you, “It’ll feel better if you don’t struggle.”
He was right. As soon as you stopped trying to push him away, your tired body thanked you for it.
Your first night with Bucky, he made sure to lay down his claim. He saw no use in trying to get to know you. You were his and you’d learn to like it. He saved your life after all.
Bucky lifted your shirt, pulling off your panties. He stilled your shaking leg and a shiver went through you as the weapon he called a hand, wrapped around your thigh. He kissed down your body, over your stomach before his head dipped between your legs.
You didn’t expect to cry out in ecstasy that night. You didn’t expect to feel anything at all but, although Bucky didn’t give you a choice, you started to feel human for the first time in a while. This sort of intimacy and pleasure was a rare commodity and part of you wanted to welcome that comfort.
You gripped the motel sheets tightly as he brought you over that cliff. He seemed to savor your pleasure and you expected him to force himself inside you next but he simply told you, “Go to sleep, doll.”
The dark stranger held you tight the whole night.
+
The next few months passed quicker than you expected. Every day you were alive was a blessing but you couldn’t help but think that you didn’t deserve it.
You traveled the country with Bucky, finding homestead after homestead to stay in. Inevitably, a crowd of walkers would ruin your plans or you’d run into groups of scavengers, humans who killed just as much as walkers.
Bucky taught you how to properly use a gun as well as a knife. You practiced aiming in forest clearings and pretty soon you could handle your own. You considered leaving him but the stranger seemed to open up to you more as the weeks went on. You learned he was in the military and that was how he lost his arm. You figured he was some type of government agent before the dead rose. That was the only way you could explain the arm.
You let yourself grow attached to him and you assumed that he did too.
You told him about the small town you grew up in and your privileged life in suburbia. You had traded your sundress for jeans, a band t-shirt, one of Bucky’s combat jackets and black boots.
You enjoyed the wind in your hair as you rode together with Bucky across the state lines. You were meant to be his extra eye but you couldn’t help that your mind wandered sometimes. Dreams of a better world comforted you.
You were on a long road, traveling through an evergreen forest when Bucky’s motorcycle abruptly skidded to halt. You looked ahead and, fifty feet ahead, was a makeshift barricade of rusted cars, “What is it?” You asked in a whisper and Bucky shushed you.
He dismounted the bike and you did the same. You took a small glance around the eerily quiet forest as Bucky approached the group of cars, “All the cars are dead. We can’t go through here,” You sensed the frustration in his voice as you pulled the map from your jacket pocket. You found the pen mark you last left that marked the area you two were trying to reach.
“We can go back ten miles east and try a different road,” You spoke swiftly and Bucky nodded, turning back towards the vehicle.
The scavengers came out of nowhere, several four-wheelers emerged from the tree line with armed men riding in them. They pointed their guns at the two of you as A giant truck pulled into the road, causing you to be blocked on each side.
Bucky was quick to grab his rifle, stepping in front of you and you pointed your pistol at one of the many scavengers. You heard Bucky curse under his breath as your panic began to set in. You glanced down at your feet and realized there was dry blood decorating the cement. This group used the blockade to ambush survivors and inevitably kill them.
“Drop the weapons!” Shouted one of the burly men with his rifle pointed at us, “You’re outnumbered. Don’t make this hard!”
Bucky let the silence set in for a moment before letting his words cut through the thick tension like a knife, “Over. My. Dead. Body.”
Over yours too apparently.
“Suit yourself,” The man agreed, his mouth opening to order his men to fire.
He was interrupted by another voice though. One that clearly held more power than the man. He stepped out from the passenger side of the truck, jumping down with a revolver in hand. You noted his muscular stature and the fact that his long hair and beard reminded you of Jesus himself.
“Hold your fire, Sam. Hold your fire!”
You noticed then the clothing of the men was way more decent than you expected. You noted bright colors and a lack of wrinkles. Clearly where these men came from there were heavy supplies. The man who looked like Jesus, who was clearly their leader, stepped forward with his revolver at his side.
You noticed Bucky start to lower his rifle and something even more unexpected happened, the leader smiled at Bucky. His eyes wandered to you and the man’s smile widened even more, “Bucky,” The man spoke as if he couldn’t believe his own words.
“Steve,” You looked to Bucky with wide eyes.
They knew each other?
You still held your gun tightly, your eyes darting around at the group of scavengers who had now lowered their weapons.
“Bucky, what’s going on?” You asked him.
“Lower your weapon, dollface,” The man named Steve said to you, “Your pal Bucky here is an old friend of mine.”
You looked to Bucky for permission and he slowly nodded. You lowered it at his command which Steve watched with a raised eyebrow, “This is your strategy, Rogers? Killing innocents and taking their supplies?”
“A lot has changed since we last saw each other. This is called adapting, my friend. Besides, we haven’t hurt you, have we?” You could tell there were years, perhaps decades, on their relationship. Steve looked at you and noted how you hid halfway behind Bucky, “Who’s this?”
“It doesn’t matter,” Bucky said quickly.
Steve only raised his hands in defense, chuckling, “Fine, fine. You two look like you need some help.”
“We’re fine, just let us pass.”
“How much gas do you have left?” Steve asked like he knew something that we didn’t, “I can tell you now that my group has collected every drop of it in the surrounding hundred-mile radius. I wouldn’t want you guys to get stranded somewhere.”
“We have enough,” Bucky stated firmly though you knew he was lying.
Steve sighed, “C’mon, Buck, I’m extending an olive branch. I control this area, traveling on it without my permission is just a guaranteed death sentence. We have a sanctuary nearby with lots of food, water, and shelter. Come with us.”
Bucky was silent for a long moment. You knew he was pretty much a lone wolf and disliked the idea of having to trust others with his safety.
“We won’t stay.”
Steve slowly nodded, “Fine, then give me time to catch up with my friend. We’ll need your weapons for the time being. I have to look out for the safety of my people.”
+
“Welcome to Liberty.”
Bucky refused to give up his weapons until they actually arrived at the settlement. You both noted the impressive nature of the area Steve controlled. The area consisted of a suburban neighborhood surrounded by a tall, metal wall. They called it Liberty.
You noticed the watched towers that held snipers who killed the walkers in the path of the trucks we were traveling in. The gate to the settlement and all of the cars filed in before the doors were shut. Bucky helped you out of the truck and you got a good look around.
It was a complete Utopia. They had large fields for farming, their own source of water and electricity. You didn’t even think something like this was possible.
You passed a few people and they looked at you like outsiders while they smiled and acknowledged Steve as their “Captain”.
Steve offered to show the two of you around but Bucky only wanted to see where the two of you would stay. If Bucky was impressed by everything, he didn’t say anything, “As a sign of good faith,” Steve said, “You two are staying in my own humble abode.”
Humble was the wrong one. Steve had the biggest house to himself at the center of the neighborhood. It was two stories, a calming blue, and looked like it had at least five bedrooms. Steve showed you around the nicely furnished house and introduced the two of you to a blonde woman named Sharon.
She offered the two of you sandwiches and Steven explained that Sharon worked in the infirmary. They didn’t seem to be affectionate but it was easy to assume that they were romantically involved. People took comfort wherever they could nowadays.
Steve showed you yours and Bucky’s room on the second floor and he left the two of you to settle in, “How do you know him?” Was the first question that left your lips.
“We were in the same unit overseas. Last time I heard of him, I was being discharged after losing my arm and he was being promoted.”
You felt he was leaving out details but he answered more than you expected anyway.
The two of you were able to clean up after two weeks of traveling and no showers. They even had hot water here which you hadn’t felt since life was normal. They also left you new clothes and you were surprised to find a dress for yourself.
You felt the fabric of the floral pattern and it reminded you of happier times. You liked it, you wanted to feel feminine after months of being covered in dirt and gunshot residue. As you slipped the dress on and finally drove a brush through your hair, you gazed at Bucky. He was buttoning a red flannel and you noticed how you could really see his face now that he had a chance to trim his beard.
He looked … clean. Maybe a little more innocent than before.
He slipped on his own jeans and boots before saying to you, “Stay here,” You grabbed his hand before he could walk out the door.
“Do you trust him?”
“Enough,” He answered simply, “I trust him enough.”
He kissed your forehead before leaving you alone.
+
“Have you fallen in love or something, Buck?”
Bucky paced the length of Steve’s office, his mind all over the place, “No,” Bucky answered, “Our relationship is just … mutually beneficial.”
Steve leaned back in his chair, his fingers running through his beard, “That’s how it is nowadays. I’m sure Sharon’s motivations include me being a better option than those savages who do my dirty work. And I’m not ugly, either.”
As Bucky didn’t respond to his humor, Steve continued, “What’s the nature of your relationship with Y/N? What’s in it for her?”
“I keep her alive.”
“And for you?” Bucky was silent because Steve already knew the answer, “Our relationship could also be mutually beneficial. As you can see, I have a lot to offer. I have a fucking empire, Buck. Weapons, land, you name it. If I don’t have it then surely one of my allies will.”
“And what can I offer you?”
Stever smirked evilly, “Her.”
“No.”
“I saw the way she looks at you. She’d do anything you said if you asked.
“Why?” Bucky asked, his muscles starting to tighten as the anger boiled inside of him, “You have women here, don’t you?”
Steve shook his head, “Not enough that are childbearing age,” Bucky understood. His friend was developing some sort of king complex, “I’ve been trying with Sharon for a while now and nothing. My allies refuse to trade theirs.”
“You want to bring a life into this world?”
“This is the safest place in the entire country. There has to be a point where we rebuild.”
“... Steve,” Bucky rubbed his temple.
“I’m not trying to steal her away from you, Buck. She just has something I need. Something I would pay you handsomely for.”
+
“You’re very pretty,” Sharon said to you as she served another serving of salad onto your plate. She sat in front of you at the square table and the four of you ate dinner together, “Bucky is lucky to have you.”
“Thank you,” You smiled back at her, “Your home … your home is very beautiful.”
Sharon smiled, sipping at her cold glass of water. She looked to Steve who said, “We’ve made it our own, haven’t we?” He asked Sharon rhetorically, “We’d love it if you stayed a while, Y/N.”
Steve watched as you immediately looked to Bucky. After spending the day here, you did think it would be nice to stay but you were loyal to Bucky, “Well … I don’t think Bucky likes to follow other people's rules very much.”
Bucky was silent as he cut his steak, not even bothering to look at you.
“That might be an understatement,” Steve chuckled, trying to break the tension, “You could always stay anyways … and we’d let Bucky come and go as he pleases.”
Your eyebrows raised in confusion. You had the feeling again that Steve more than you. What made it worse was now you suspected everyone at the table knew more than you.
You desperately wanted Bucky to say something. Anything, “I don’t know what use I’d be around here.”
“You could always help out in the infirmary,” Sharon said happily, “Our guys are always getting hurt out there.”
“I appreciate the offer but …”
“You’ll stay here,” You looked to Bucky with wide eyes, “You’ll be safe here.”
“And where will you go?” You asked quickly, your world starting to fall apart once again.
“I have business elsewhere,” Was all he said. You could deal with his secretiveness before but not now, “I’ll be back when I’m done.”
Silence fell over the table for a moment before Sharon attempted to comfort you, “We’ll take care of you here, honey. There’s no need to worry.”
You shook your head, “No, I’m going with you. I don’t want to stay.”
“Y/N-”
Bucky was interrupted by Steve, “You will stay. The decision has already been made.”
You stood up abruptly, shaking the table, “I don’t even know you people!” You yelled back, turning to Bucky, “Please take me with you.”
“What did I just fucking say, Y/N?”
It felt like you were being rejected. Like you were losing yet another person, “This is what you want, Bucky?” You crossed your arms, “You swear?”
“Yes, doll,” He reassured you, “This doesn’t change anything.”
You pushed your chair back, “This changes everything and you don’t even care,” You spoke, not bothering to look back, before storming out of the dining room.
+
Bucky wasn’t telling you the truth, that much you knew. You sat on the bed in your new room with a heavy weight on your shoulders. You untied your hair from its ponytail and ran your fingers through your hair, trying to relieve some stress in your body.
When the door opened again, you immediately said, “I’m sorry for yelling-” You stopped as you realized that it wasn’t Bucky who had followed you up. You stood up, noting how Steve’s body basically took up the entire door frame. If he was attempting to be less threatening, it wasn’t working, “What do you want?”
“I can tell Bucky loves you very much, you know. And I don’t think he’s loved a lot of things in his life.” You thought about it for a moment. You never thought what Bucky showed you was love. He was cold and unforgiving most of the time. Steve stepped into the room, shutting the door behind him, “He cares for you but there are still some things he can’t give up yet. He’s a soldier. He’s always going to crave another mission and he knows he can’t bring the ones he loves into harm's way.”
You thought there was truth in his words. Perhaps you just didn’t want to lose your trust in Bucky.
“What do you want from me?”
Steve sighed, “Well, I suppose you can’t just use my resources and offer me nothing in return.”
“Sharon said I could help her-”
“Yes,” Steve agreed, closing the gap between the two of you, “You’ll help her and you’ll help me.”
“With what?” You asked, and before he could grab you, you kicked his shin. Hard.
Steve grunted in pain and as you tried to run past him, he grabbed your leg. You fell to your hands and knees abruptly, still trying to pull away from him, “Where are you going to run-” You kicked your leg out, nailing the Captain in his nose.
Now, you had really made him angry. Steve groaned, still not letting go of your leg, “He taught you a lot … but don’t be delusional, sweetheart.”
Steve pulled you into his body, grabbing your arms and pinning them behind your back. You heard the jingle of metal before you heard it click around both your wrist. Steve pulled you up from the ground, bending your body over the bed. You tried to kick but he spread your legs with his feet.
He pulled your dress up and easily ripped off your underwear.
You screamed, calling for Bucky, “Bucky told me where you come from. Think about it, I’m offering you another chance at your old life. White picket fence, kids running around in the yard,” There was a sudden slap to your behind and a tear slipped down your cheek.
Steve thought you were gorgeous. A baby was not the only thing he wanted from you. He wouldn’t mind having a face like yours walking around the settlement.
The blood from his nose dripped down to your bottom as he undid his belt and unleash his member. It was already hard, the excitement of the situation having caused it.
He licked his hand, reaching down to fill between your legs, “Already wet. He didn’t tell me that you liked pain,” Steve landed another, harder slap to your bottom and you cried out.
“Steve, please,” You begged, “I’ll do anything.”
“You will. You’re going to give me a baby, gorgeous,” He hit you again and you felt his tip press against your entrance. He impaled himself inside you, holding onto your cuffed wrist as he moved in and out of you. Your eyes were wide, your mouth agape, as you felt him take you over.
As his pace quickened, you bit down on the comforter to keep the moans from escaping your lips. His hands move to your waist, pulling your body back against him, so you couldn’t escape his assault. The position you were in seemed to allow him to hit a very sensitive spot, one that had you gasping for air and crying out at the same time.
Steve could tell your body like it. You were squeezing his cock hard and your body was writing on the bed before him. He felt it when you tightened around him as you reached your climax, “What a needy. Little. Thing,” He grunted before flipping your body over. The handcuffs dug into your skin but all you could focus on was him.
His thrusts became even deeper as he leaned over your body. He kissed your lips, his tongue exploring your mouth before he made his final thrusts inside of you. The Captain moaned into your mouth as warmth filled you.
He breathed heavily, emptying himself inside you as he kissed your tears. You were still shaking when he pulled out of you. As he let go of you, you weakly tried to crawl away. Steve walked around the bed, watching you like a predator watches its prey.
He flipped you back over, grabbing your wrist as he pulled you further onto the bed. After that, he placed a pillow beneath your hips, elevating you.
He leaned down to where your face is, brushing your hair away so he could see you clearly, “You learned to like Bucky, you’ll do the same with me.”
You had no words left for him. Your fate was sealed from now.
In this new world, there was little room for compassion. This was what Bucky must’ve meant. This was the long way down.

Here is my full summary for the Boku No Hero Academia HEROES RISING movie! I originally posted it as a thread on Twitter, but here’s a more cohesive version for easy reading! Enjoy~
MOVIE SUMMARY
The movie starts off with Rock Lock, Endeavor, and another Pro-Hero in an epic car chase going after Spinner, Dabi, and Mr. Compress in a truck. They're transporting some important item somewhere, and there is a SICKASS fight between Endeavor and Dabi.
Endeavor uses his flamethrower and blasts it at Dabi, who scoffs at him but throws his blue fire at Endeavor. The blast from Endeavor is stronger though, and Dabi and co. give up as they turn to mud (via Twice's quirk). The truck then reels off the cliff.
Hawks is on the scene to check the damage of the truck. He wonders what exactly they were trying to deliver as the truck was heavily damaged by the fire. Later, we see Nine regroup with Slice, Mummy, and Chimera as he tells them they will soon leave.
After the opening scenes with the villains, we have a short recap of "society consists of 80% of the population with super powers" etc. etc. After the short narration, we immediately dive into scenes of the Class A members helping out on Nabu Island.
The first scene is two girls getting hit on by two guys, but Mineta helps save the girls by sticking the guys to the floor with his mogimogi balls. The girls see Ojiro and think that he's the one who saved him, but Ojiro blushes and says no it's not me!
Shoji is helping out at the beach as a lifesaver, and he spots a kid in trouble. Tsuyu dives into the water to help grab him, and then Satou rows the boat to save the boy. Tokoyami and Sero are also helping out at the beach.
Todoroki is helping the shaved ice stand make ice, and the shaved ice guy asks Todoroki to make more ice, and Todoroki creates a giant boulder of ice and says, "You can use this, right?" The shaved ice stand maker looks at him like wtf lol.
Next scene is Ashido, Ochako, Aoyama, Hagakure, Kaminari, and Deku sitting around in the Hero Agency headquarters on the island. Ashido is taking calls and dispatching Class A members to help out people around the island. They're all in hero costumes.
Bakugou and Kirishima are sitting in their own tatami room, and Bakugou is reading a magazine while lying down on the floor. Kirishima sits across from him. Ochako calls across the room and asks if anyone can help someone find a lost kid.
Kirishima offers to go, but Bakugou says to him in a light tone, "do you think your quirk would be effective to help pinpoint a lost boy?" and Kirishima looks at Bakugou like "Hmm actually..." Jirou volunteers instead and says her quirk would be helpful.
Deku narrates "so why exactly are we at the island? well..." There is a flashback to the Hero Committee saying that villains are getting stronger, and they need to train students to be prepared for anything. Aizawa tells Class A they need to do hero work.
Flash forward back to more montage of Class A members helping out with people around the island. Ashido and Aoyama are helping construction workers clear rubble, Kaminari is using his electricity to help power a farming tractor.
Kirishima is helping move cargo on a truck with the truck driver's wife and baby thanking him. He does his hardening pose and gestures "No problem!" but the hardening scares the baby, making the baby cry LOL.
Yaoyorozu helps repair a motorcycle. Deku, Ochako, and Jirou finding the "missing boy" at a playground. Deku approaches the boy but his sister comes to "save him" from the heroes. The kids then scurry away, leaving Deku, Ochako, & Jirou like wtf was that?
As the Class A members are helping around the island, All Might is back at U.A. and worries about whether they will be okay. Cut back to the kids at the island, and they're wearing their casual clothes now. They're super tired from the day's work.
The Class A members mention how this kind of hero work is still hard, even though they're not fighting anyone. However, the island citizens are thankful, and they bring a bunch of food for the kids to eat at the Hero Agency.
Bakugou and Kirishima are lounging in the tatami room together, and Bakugou mentions this kind of work is boring. Kirishima has his face on the table and looks at Bakugou like ;) as he says "Well, there's no villains here, so that's why."
Kaminari, Sero, Ojiro come and tell Kirishima to join them at the onsen bath and says that Bakugou can't go because he has to patrol the grounds since he didn't do any hero work all day long. Bakugou complains, but the guys leave him be.
As Bakugou is patrolling, Deku is outside training his quirk, and he thinks about OFA and how he can train himself to be able to use this power that All Might has given him. There is a brief scene where they show all the predecessors and silhouettes.
One of the silhouettes looks basically like Bakugou with burning red eyes, surrounded by a red aura. The other silhouette is drawn surrounded by a purple aura with their hair blowing in the wind. It is this exact scene from the manga, but clearer.
As Deku is training, Bakugou sees him and asks him if he's made that quirk his own yet. Deku says he's getting there, and Bakugou says, "You think you can surpass ME even with that quirk perfected? Just try."
Suddenly, Katsuma comes hurriedly to Deku and says that a villain has appeared. Deku is about to help but Bakugou pushes him aside and grabs the kid, telling him to take him to where the villain is.
The next scene shows Hawks in a committee meeting. The Hero Committee mentions that the League of Villains managed to get a hold of perhaps the quirk nullifying bullet as there have been cases of people getting their quirks stolen.
They ask Hawks if he had heard anything about this, but Hawks said that he doesn't think that these incidents are from the quirk bullet. He thinks it's something else.
Next scene is Toga, Dabi, Mr. Compress, Spinner, and Shigaraki chilling at a rundown shack in the middle of nowhere. They complain to Shigaraki asking him what they're supposed to do. Shigaraki said that the Doctor has something for him.
Cut to Katsuma & Maholo's Dad on a business trip in Kyushu. He suddenly gets attacked by Nine, and Nine takes his quirk. The dad has a cell regeneration quirk. Nine suffers from some kind of ailment that causes his body to freeze up. He needs this quirk.
When Nine takes the Dad's quirk, he uses it to power up and calls lightning down to destroy parts of the city. He then freezes up as he realizes that the Dad's quirk cell regeneration isn't compatible with him. He then sees a video recording of the kids.
Nine then decides to aim for the kids as one of them must have a quirk that is similar to the Dad that might be compatible with his body. Nine is Blood Type B, so he needs someone that can help him regenerate his cells with the correct blood type.
We go back to Bakugou carrying Katsuma and asking him where the damn villain is. They then see a gigantic monster size Praying Mantis wrecking havoc on the side of the hill. Bakugou blasts off to fight the monster but then suddenly stops.
He realizes that the monster is a hologram, and Maholo's quirk is creating holograms of anything she wants. He could tell that the monster was fake because there was no shadow beneath the monster.
Bakugou is furious as he shouts to the girl if she's trying to make fun of him? He tells her that he's aiming to be Number 1 and doesn't need stupid kids to play pranks on him.
As he lunges at the girl, Deku holds him back, and Bakugou gets angry and wrestles Deku on the floor as Katsuma and Maholo scurry off.
The kids end up in a sugar cane field as they look at the stars. Maholo complains that she hates heroes because they're all talk. Katsuma says that they're good heroes though, but Maholo said that the best hero in her heart is their father.
Next scene is back in Kyushu where Hawks is looking at the damage to the city that was caused by Nine earlier that day. He wonders what exactly is going on.
Next day at the island, Ashido gets a call from an island citizen to help out. She dispatches Hagakure and Aoyama, and she tells Mineta that the girl sounded really cute on the phone. Mineta then says he's down to go help too.
Deku wants to go too, but as he leaves the Hero Agency building, he sees Katsuma approach him. Katsuma comes to apologize for the problems they made for him and Bakugou the previous day.
Bakugou also listens to Katsuma's apology as he is outside standing on the veranda and eating a popsicle. He listens to Katsuma explain that he wanted to prove to his sister that Heroes were good people who do come to the rescue when people are in need.
Deku tells Katsuma that it's no problem as his own goal is to become a great hero who can help save people. Bakugou listens carefully to their conversation, and Deku notes that Katsuma has an Edgeshot pin on his bag. He asks Katsuma if he likes heroes.
Katsuma says that he really admires Heroes, but Maholo just worries about him. Deku has a flashback of when his mom told him that she was always so worried about him because heroes put themselves in danger all the time.
Deku asks Katsuma, "What kind of hero do you want to be, Katsuma?" He then explains why he himself wants to be a hero. Bakugou stands at the veranda and listens the whole time, and when they're done talking, Bakugou realizes his ice cream melted away.
The neighbor sees Katsuma leave Deku & comes to him to explain that Katsuma and Maholo live alone with their father on the island. Their mother passed away when they were very young, and Maholo is very protective of her brother since Dad's always working
Suddenly, at the harbor, a boat rams into the pier at full speed. The boat topples over, and Nine, Chimera, Mummy, and Slice emerge on the top of the boat. Nine instructs them to do whatever they need to do in order to find the two kids.
Maholo and Katsuma are returning to their house when Nine appears out of nowhere and literally OBLITERATES their house by striking lightning out of thin air to destroy the home. Maholo then tries to call the Hero Agency to ask for help.
As she calls the Hero Agency, the phone line gets cut off. The Class A members then check their phones and sees that even their cellphone reception is down. We then see that Chimera destroyed the island's telephone and communication tower.
At the harbor, Mineta, Hagakure, and Aoyama just finished helping a couple out with a missing bag. Mineta scoffs to the side saying that Ashido tricked him into coming because the girl was actually taken. Suddenly, they see villains coming up the road.
The villain Mummy uses his bindings and turns anything, even inanimate objects into moving zombies. Aoyama uses his beam to blast away at Mummy's weird zombies, but he just keeps making more.
At the beach, Tsuyu is trying to evacuate all the beach goers as Chimera approaches dauntingly. Ojiro takes the initiative and attacks chimera. He tells Tokoyami to go back to the Hero Agency to ask for help since everyone's cellphones aren't working.
Tokoyami makes it back to the Hero Agency, and he says villains are near the harbor and beach. They need back-up. Iida dispatches everyone. Teams are
Bakugou, Kirishima, & Kaminari
Yaoyorozu, Jirou, & Ashido
Koda & Ochako
Iida, Todoroki, Sero, & Tokoyami
Aoyama is at his limit as he continues to fight Mummy, but thankfully, Bakugou blasts an explosion aimed towards Mummy to throw him off. Behind Bakugou, Kirishima comes rushing in and says "RED RIOT IS HERE!" Kaminari releases electricity too.
Ashido comes to Aoyama's aid and helps him up. She, Jirou, and Yaoyorozu bring the others to safety as well as direct the citizens to the safehold.
Mummy continues to attack Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari. Mummy finds an opening and tries to hit Bakugou, but Kirishima jumps in front of him and deflects the attack but gets caught himself. Bakugou then gets bounded, and Kirishima yells "Bakugou!"
Ojiro continues to fight Chimera at the beach and pulls some pretty cool moves on him. Good thing back up comes from Todoroki rushing in with Iida as well as Tokoyami having Dark Shadow drop him and Satou onto Chimera.
As Satou drops in and tries using his Sugar Rush attack move on Chimera, there is a BEAUTIFUL shot of him and Chimera fist to fist fighting against the sunset mid-air. It was such a dynamic shot. Totally not necessary but beautiful to see lol.
Back at Katsuma and Maholo's destroyed house (I realized that Nine destroys the house after, not before the beach fights). Nine can glance at a person and know what their stats, and he figures out that Katsuma is the one with the cell regeneration quirk.
Nine tells Katsuma and Maholo that he will not kill them, but that they should follow him because he needs something from them. Deku then comes to the rescue though and rushes them through the forest.
Nine then slowly walks to Deku and says, "get out of the way. If you're in my way, I will kill you." Deku then uses full cowl, but Nine is able to block him with a barrier. Nine also shoots energy from his fingers, and Deku thinks that he's like AFO.
Back at the battle with Mummy, Bakugou is completely controlled by Mummy, but he is trying to resist. Mummy is making Bakugou attack Kirishima and Kaminari against his will, and Kirishima tries to desperately call out to Bakugou.
Mummy then wraps both Kirishima and Kaminari, and Kaminari says, "Kirishima, what should we do!?" Mummy then says to them that they either surrender or watch as Bakugou kills them. As he says this, Bakugou's red eye shines, and he creates a huge explosion.
Bakugou is able to blast away the bindings and he completely OBLITERATES Mummy as he pins him against a wall and maniacally uses an explosion that is directed right at Mummy's face. Mummy passes out, and afterwards, they regroup with the others.
Kirishima and Kaminari stay with the rest, but Bakugou blasts off. Jirou asks where he's going, and Bakugou says he needs to fight the other villains on the island.
Next scene is Chimera fighting Todoroki, but Chimera is just too strong. Sero uses his tape to wrap around Todoroki as he saves him from Chimera's blow. Chimera can also breathe fire, and the guys find themselves outmatched by him.
Deku continues to fight Nine and uses Delaware Smash, but Nine uses a barrier to deflect his attack. Deku wonders to himself just how many quirks does Nine even have!? He then tries to use One For All 20% Full Cowl. Nine muses that Deku has a great power.
Nine then grabs Deku's head and tries to steal the quirk from him. Deku then thinks to himself that if Nine can steal quirks, that's exactly like AFO. Suddenly, an image of the OFA vestiges appears including the silhouettes. They appear in line like this:
The OFA users prevent OFA from being stolen. Deku then realizes that the kids are still here, even though he told them to run -_-;; Nine then shoots Deku with his quirk and heavily injures him. The kids are too scared to move.
As Nine approaches Deku, who's badly injured, he's about to deliver a finishing blow but Bakugou flies in to save Deku. Bakugou attacks Nine, and Deku says "Kacchan! Watch out this guy has more than one quirk and can steal quirks!"
Bakugou then says that he just has to keep fighting him then, right? However, Nine pulls out another quirk that looks like Blue Eyes White Dragon (no joke) that pins down Bakugou. Deku tells himself to try to move as Bakugou blasts an explosion to him.
Deku wills himself to move and they try to fight him, but Nine is too powerful. He pins both of them to the ground and tries to go after the kids, but Deku and Bakugou each hold one of Nine's legs to stop him.
Nine gets super annoyed at them and calls forth a HUGE blast of lightning that zaps Deku and Bakugou completely unconscious. However, since he used his quirk too much, his body freezes up, and he falls to the ground. Slice comes to help him.
Nine tells Slice to get the kids, but as she tries to approach them, Koda calls forth a huge flock of crows to block her path. Shouji then rushes in and carries the kids off while Ochako taps Deku and Bakugou, & Tsuyu carries them together with her tongue.
The kids all escape and meanwhile, Chimera also retreats from where Todoroki, Sero, and co. were fighting him at the beach. The Class A members regroup at a shelter where the rest of the island citizens are currently staying at due to the villain attack.
It's raining, and Nine is sleeping on a bed somewhere on the island, trying to recover as Slice watches over him. Chimera comes into the room and asks where's Mummy, and they realize that Mummy was captured.
There is a flashback to when Nine was without his artifical quirks. He had a very weak body, but he wanted to get stronger and saved Chimera even though everyone hated Chimera due to his appearance.
Chimera says that he is thankful that Nine saved him that day. Also, side note, Nine looked super hot when he was younger and without a mask lol.
Flashback continues to when Nine gets experimented on by Dr. Ujiko. He tells him that he can steal up to nine quirks. Flash forward and Nine wakes up and says that he has to get the cell regeneration quirk that Katsuma has to help his body.
Ochako goes into the room where other civilians are being healed by people with healing quirks. She asks how is Deku and Bakugou doing. They're both completely unconscious as the healers try to help, but they're not doctors so their efforts aren't working.
Katsuma then comes into the room and says that he can help heal Deku and Bakugou. He explains that his quirk speeds up cell regeneration and can also boost one's power. He tries his hardest to heal Deku and Bakugou, to the point where he almost passes out.
The rest of Class A are resting in a break room in the shelter and are trying to figure out what to do with the villains. Deku enters the room with Katsuma, and Ochako says "Deku!" surprised he's completely healed.
Katsuma then tells everyone that the villains are after him, so he can just give himself up to save everyone the trouble of being attacked. However, Deku says that he will never let that happen as he will protect Katsuma and the rest of the citizens.
Bakugou then walks into the room slowly, and Kirishima looks up and says "Bakugou!" while looking relieved. Bakugou heard Deku's words of wanting to protect the citizens. He glances at Deku as they both recall All Might's words "win & save, save & win."
Bakugou then does this pose and says that what they gotta do is just fight these damn villains. Everyone else agrees, and Yaoyorozu & Iida lead the others in a PLUS ULTRA! cheer. Deku then devises a plan on how to capture the villains.
The plan is to lure the villains to the furthest corner of the island where ancient castle ruins are. Koda, Satou, and Hagakure will lead the island's citizens and livestock into a cave to hide. Meanwhile, the rest of the Class A will fight the villains.
(Just random commentary, but can I just mention how hilarious it is to ask the INVISIBLE GIRL to lead the citizens into a dark cave? Like, WHAT IS LOGIC???")
The Class A members then prepare for a large battle as the sun rises. This is the epic scene here where they stand together.
As according to plan, the villains approach exactly down the path that Deku predicted. Shouji is the one in charge of guarding the children while Jirou and Ojiro are nearby as the lookout. Each Class A member is stationed in different locations.
The first attack is by Yaoyorozu and Aoyama. Yaoyorozu pulls out her twin cannons, and Aoyama uses a super powerful navel beam that holds off the villains for a while. The blast is so strong that it causes the ground beneath the villains to break.
Slice then falls down into a cave below, but Chimera and Nine are able to evade the attack and go separate ways. Ochako, Sero, and Mineta work together to barrage Nine with thousands of falling rocks. This action combination looked really cool.
Meanwhile, Slice finds herself in a cave where Tokoyami and Ashido battle her together. Chimera is at another area where he's near a waterfall. As he steps into the water to cross the river, Todoroki turns the entire waterfall and river into ice.
Tsuyu captures Chimera with her tongue and pulls him further into the river where Todoroki tries freezing him. Iida, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Tsuyu then ready themselves as Chimera struggles to get out of his icy bonds.
Nine keeps attacking Sero and Ochako, and they try over and over to stop him with the barrage of rocks flung at him. Ochako is overusing her quirk, and Sero grabs her before she falls down and uses his tape to swing to higher ground.
Ochako then goes to a huge wall of thousands of rocks and uses her Zero Gravity on all of them. She falls to the ground, exhausted, but tries to still fight. Yaoyorozu and Aoyama also fight Nine as they throw attacks at him.
Deku and Bakugou then join Aoyama, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Mineta, and Ochako in the fight against Nine. Bakugou is in the air as Deku jumps high up and grabs his hand while Bakugou spins Deku, and the momentum helps them deal a super cool combo move together.
Meanwhile in the cave, Slice continues to fight Tokoyami, but suddenly she feels the cave stalactites falling as she realizes Ashido is using her acid to loosen the spikes on the ceiling. Ashido then unleashes a bunch of acid and burns off Slice's hair.
With her hair now short, Slice is still able to use them as small spears that she unleashes at Ashido all at once. Ashido is able to evade most of them, but three spears stab her thigh and causes her to fall down side of the cave.
Tokoyami yells, "ASHIDO!" as she plummets to the bottom of the cave. He approaches her and sees that she's very badly injured and bleeding, and his eyes go crazy as he loses it and Dark Shadow explodes out of him. He turns to Slice and says, "YOU BASTARD!"
Deku and Bakugou continue to fight Nine, and Nine keeps using his various quirks to hold them off. The scene then cuts to Iida fighting Chimera. He kicks Chimera, then Kirishima follows up with Red Gauntlet. Their attacks look weak, and Chimera laughs.
However suddenly, Chimera freezes up and Todoroki slowly approaches him as he explains that Kirishima and Iida were only distracting Chimera as they put Tsuyu's poison on his body, effectively stopping his body from moving.
Chimera says not to underestimate him, and he evolves into a crazy animal fusion. Kirishima says, "Woah what is he, Amajiki-senpai!?" Chimera then blasts energy all around him from his mouth, and Tsuyu uses her tongue to wrap around Kirishima to save him.
Iida then grabs Todoroki to push him out of the way from Chimera's energy beam. We then cut to a scene of Shouji protecting the kids as Nine continues to fight Deku and Bakugou but effectively advances towards the kids. Nine destroys Bakugou's gauntlet.
Sero tries to help and attack Nine, but Nine easily throws him aside. Bakugou shouts, "SERO!!" as he falls to the ground. Nine then throws Ochako into the air as well, and Deku quickly rushes into the air and catches her, holding her in his arms.
As he holds Ochako, she murmurs まだ....まだ... "not yet...I can still do more..." but then passes out. Deku then lays her gently on the ground. Nine then approaches Deku and Bakugou but freezes up as his cells have some issue when he overuses his quirk.
Todoroki then devises a plan to fight Chimera. He tells everyone of the plan, and Iida springs to action, trying to distract Chimera. Todoroki then holds Kirishima by the waist as he speeds them forward towards Chimera while sliding on his ice.
As Todoroki wraps his arms around Kirishima, Kirishima says, "Heh, this kind of reminds me of Kamino." Then Todoroki tells Kirishima to harden, and Kirishima uses Unbreakable. Chimera blasts Kirishima with his energy beam, and this scene is SICKKKK!!!!!
While holding Kirishima in front of him as a shield, Todoroki tries to push forward as Kirishima withstands Chimera's energy beam. However, his energy beam causes Kirishima's sleeves to rip, but Chimera finally exhausts his beam and needs to recharge.
As Chimera pauses for a moment, Kirishima falls to the ground, but Todoroki then gets close enough to lunge himself on top of Chimera as he sticks his hand down his throat and gruesomely freezes Chimera's entire body inside out with ice.
Todoroki then also passes out and his thoughts before he loses consciousness is "Midoriya...Bakugou...it's up to you guys now." Chimera, along with Todoroki, Kirishima, Tsuyu, and Iida, are all defeated.
Shouji continues to protect the kids even though nine is advancing towards them still. Meanwhile, Hawks visits the children's father in the hospital. The Dad explains to him that his son has the similar quirk to him.
The difference between Katsuma's cell regeneration quirk and his Dad's quirk is that his Dad's quirk can only help people with Blood Type A. However, Katsuma's quirk can help other blood types too. Hawks then realizes that the villains are at the island.
Hawks calls the other Pro-Heroes and tells them that they need to head to Nabu Island right away as the people there are all in danger, including Class A. He flies to the island first.
Note that it takes around 1 hour for a jet plane to fly from Kyushu to Okinawa (where this Nabu Island is supposedly located), so Hawks flying there is quite a feat lol.
Ojiro and Jirou tell Shouji to project the kids as they go forth and fight Nine. However, Nine is weakened by the constant attacks from Deku, Bakugou, and the earlier ones from the other Class A members.
Shouji holds the kids close to him as he blocks them from Nine's attacks. He takes on all of Nine's attacks and is heavily injured, and he tells the kids to run away.
However, Nine is able to catch Maholo before they can escape, and he tells Katsuma "If you value your sister's life, then come with me." Katsuma is about to give himself up but Deku comes to the rescue and uses SMASH against Nine.
Nine tosses Maholo to the side, but Bakugou is able to capture her before she falls the ground. Bakugou then tells her, "See I told you, I'm going to be the Number 1 Hero. That's why I'm strong!" He puts her down, and proceeds to fight Nine along with Deku.
Deku and Bakugou look like they are getting the upper hand as they throw explosion after smash attacks at Nine. However, Nine uses the purple fluid he carries on his back and makes himself super powered and indestructible. He then creates fire pillars.
He brings down lightning from the sky, and Deku tries using OFA 100% against him. Deku uses a Detroit Smash and Bakugou uses Howitzer Impact against Nine. They hold their attacks as long as they can, and this causes their costumes to get tattered.
Shouji, even in his beaten state, still manages to hold onto the kids to protect them. Bakugou and Deku then look up at Nine as their attacks were rendered useless against him.
Nine then goes onto a short cliche villain monologue about wanting to create a perfect society where only those with powerful quirks live in and those who are weak are eliminated. Deku and Bakugou look at him in disbelief.
Nine uses his blue eyes white dragon move and captures both Deku and Bakugou in its grasp. All hope looks like it's lost, but Maholo and Katsuma cry out to them saying, "Big Brother Deku! Bakugou!!! Don't give up!!!!!!"
Deku then tells Bakugou that in order to continue this fight, there's only one thing they can do. Bakugou makes this face as he hears Deku say this as he knows that in order to fight, he needs to have One For All. He looks regretful with this decision.
Deku and Bakugou both recall All Might's words to them about being heroes who can save and win, win and save. Deku reaches his bloody finger out to Bakugou, and Bakugou extends his finger as well. They miss at first, but they finally make contact.
They touch fingers for a few seconds as OFA is transferred into Bakugou, then they grasp hands firmly like this stock image. The OFA transfer is now complete as Deku wills it to be.
Bakugou asks Deku if he is even still capable of using OFA, and Deku explains that during All Might's fight against All For One, he still was able to use OFA as he was holding onto the flickering embers of the quirk.
Bakugou asks Deku if this is okay, and Deku says it's the only way. They then power themselves up using OFA, and they legit look like Goku and Vegeta as Super Saiyan, even with their hair standing up like this. Bakugou has orange energy, Deku with green.
Might+ U starts playing in this scene where Deku and Bakugou throw punch and explosion one after another at Nine. There is no sound effects or speech during this entire montage as the only music playing is Might+u.
The visuals of this scene are INSANE. Like holy shit the SAKUGA!!!!!! IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!! There was this one scene where Super Saiyan Bakugou walks into the side of a mountain and completely melts the ENTIRE MOUNTAIN and throws it at Nine.
As they attack Nine, there is a flashback of when they are children, and Bakugou stands in front of a T.V. and says wow how cool is All Might?? There is also a flashback of Deku as a kid crying in front of his computer screen saying to his Mom AM is so cool
Both of them admire All Might, and the final few attacks are Deku and Bakugou perfectly mirroring each other, doing attacks in sync. They then prepare their finishing blow and do DETROIT SMASH into the air, clearing away the powerful storm to blue skies.
But wait! That wasn't the last move! The fight actually continues in silence with Might+u still playing in the background. Deku has a line over the montage that says "This, this is what One For All is capable of."
Bakugou prepares his final explosion and Deku prepares a finishing kick to Nine, and as they unleash their powerful attacks, Deku says "Thank you and goodbye, One For All" as he passes out, which is this scene in the trailer.
Before passing out and during the part where Deku recalls what One For All means, what One For All is capable of, there is a montage of all of Class A passed out from their own respective fights.
I missed a scene with Tokoyami and Ashido. As Dark Shadow goes crazy, he captures Slice but also causes the cave to fall down on them. Tokoyami shields Ashido with his body, and after Deku & Bakugou's fight, we see Hawks pulling Tokoyami from the rubble.
Hawks asks Tokoyami if he's alive, and Tokoyami says, "Hawks, why are you here??" Hawks then says that he's not the only one who's here as help has arrived.
We then see All Might kneeling next to Deku & Bakugou, who are lying on the ground passed out. All Might cradles Deku in his arms and says he did well. Deku asks if Bakugou is okay. All Might says "Always putting others in front of yourself, yes he's fine."
Deku then starts crying as he apologizes to All Might as he gave away such a great power entrusted with him by All Might. This is the scene where he says "I'm sorry, All Might. I'm sorry..."
All Might says Deku is brave and deserving of OFA, and then miraculously, Deku's body glows with the power of OFA coursing through his veins once more. All Might says it's a miracle, but perhaps the Predecessors willed it for Deku to hold this power.
All Might then thanks his master Nana as well as the predecessors for returning OFA back to Deku. He then holds Deku hand with one hand and in the other, holds Bakugou's hand as he cries.
The ending scene shows everyone being helped out by the Pro-Heroes. I originally thought that the scene took place in an infirmary, but it was actually on site where everyone was passed out.
Although the scene is also silent, we see Endeavor hugging Todoroki tightly as he cries comedically while he says "SHOUTOOOO!!!!!!" there is also a scene of Kaminari and Sero doing a fist bump as they are being held up by the pro-heroes.
Ashido is being helped out on a stretcher, Tokoyami watches over her closely as she smiles at him, Ryukyu helps Tsuyu and Ochako, and the other students are escorted by the pro-heroes.
Hawks watches as Chimera and Slice are put into custody. He then wonders what Shigaraki has planned. We then see Nine was blasted away to an island surrounded by flowers. Shigaraki appears in front of him, and Nine says he needs more time.
Nine reaches out saying that he hasn't perfected the society yet, and there needs to be someone who can guide everyone. Shigaraki puts his hand on Nine's face and says, "Yes, someone. That someone is me. Good work and goodnight Nine." He disintegrates him.
The next scene is Bakugou waking up in the infirmary next to Recovery Girl. Deku narrates that Bakugou for some reason had no recollection of ever using OFA (how convenient lol), and Bakugou complains that his arms hurt like hell.
Katsuma accidentally sees Recovery Girl kissing Bakugou, and she blushes in embarrassment LOL. Deku tells Katsuma that he will be a great hero. The kids then are reunited with their father and are very happy to see him.
Class A board the boat as they are ready to go home, and Bakugou is at the top of the stern. He sees Deku and asks him if it's okay to leave without saying bye to the kids. Deku says it's fine. However, they then see the kids running to the pier.
The kids wave to Class A and say "Big Brother Deku, Bakugou, Everyone!!! Thank you so much!!" and Class A waves back at them. Katsuma then waves to Deku and says "Big Brother Deku! I'll be a hero just like you!" and Deku says U.A. is waiting for him!
Deku then waves back at Katsuma and Maholo and Bakugou puts his hand up and sort of waves. The last scene is Katsuma's smiling face as he looks on with hope, inspired by the heroes who helped change his life.
THE END!!!!!!

Chapters: 2/? Fandom: Roswell New Mexico (TV 2019) Rating: Explicit Warnings: Graphic Depictions Of Violence Relationships: Michael Guerin/Alex Manes Characters: Max Evans, Isobel Evans Bracken, Liz Ortecho, Maria DeLuca, Kyle Valenti, Jesse Manes, Jenna Cameron, Wyatt Long Summary:
What happened to Michael and Alex when they were young made them who they are today.
I can’t start with Chapter two because it has Explicit Sex at the very start, so I will start you off with part of chapter one
Chapter One
When Michael was 7, he remembered trying to calm Isobel down by drawing the only thing that soothed her. He drew the symbol over and over again on the wall. And when he stopped, she started crying again. He stopped momentarily when the group home woman, Mrs. Tooley, brought in an attractive young couple.
When he stopped drawing, Isobel started to cry again so Max held her and Michael started drawing it once again.
"Here they are Mr. & Mrs. Evans. They were brought in together and none of them has spoken a word since they were found." Mrs. Tooley explained.
Isobel was still crying and Max was still soothing her. Michael swallowed hard for he knew what meeting these people meant. He'd seen other kids meet adults and then they were taken away. Mrs. Tooley told them later that they had been taken to nice homes to be loved and taken care of.
Michael held his breath as the couple looked over the three of them and with Isobel still crying. Michael wanted Isobel to be loved and taken care of so he drew the symbol some more.
Before he knew what was happening, Isobel and Max were gone and Michael was left alone. The only two people he knew and trusted in this world and they were gone.
When Alex was 7 he had left some clothes on the floor in his haste to go outside and play baseball with his brothers. His father had broken a stick over his back and given him nothing to eat for a week. He had been locked in the closet with only water rations for 5 days. He had cried for his mother the whole time. His mother had left them, left him to a monster. He just wanted his mother's soft words and softer body to hold him and love him. Why had she left him? It was cold in that closet and he couldn't sleep much. He'd counted the days carving with his nail in the wall, sobbing all the while. Why couldn't someone love him. What did he do wrong?
When Michael was 8 he went into the foster system and wound up with two angry meth heads. There was never any food in the house. When he was able to make it to school, he would get fed breakfast and lunch, but would go to bed hungry at night. Michael hated the weekends. He didn't get fed until Monday morning unless he stole some small cartons of milk or a candy bar at the local gas station. And the weekends were when the angry couple would party with friends. Then Michael was open game for whoever needed a punching bag.
Michael got smart real early on and would go sleep in the desert whenever he could. He would bring the one thin wool blanket he had with him and would hunch up on the ground and sleep as best he could. All the while wondering why he wasn't loved. What had he done wrong?
When Alex was 10 he was used to the abuse, or so he thought, but this time he had gotten thrown off of his brother's motorcycle. He'd been sent to the emergency room with his head split open across his forehead, a busted leg and left shoulder and had bruised a kidney. His brother had been driving and said he was sorry, but when Alex came home from the hospital he also wound up with a broken nose, his other arm broken and welts on his back. It was his fault for distracting his brother and ruining an expensive bike.
Again he had been left with only water and no way to move around during the day when his brothers were at school. He just lay on the bed with no way of moving with his broken body. When his brothers got home, he cried because he had wet the bed and was ashamed the had to clean him up quickly before their father came home.
His brothers were also abused by their father, but not like Alex. For some reason the monster really had it out for Alex. The monster always blamed him for their mother leaving. Said if he was a better kid she wouldn't have left.
Alex cried himself to sleep at night until he didn't have any more tears left. Why was he so unlovable? What had he done wrong?
When Michael was 10, he was put into the care of a violent drunk. Again there was never any food in the house. But the worst part was it was summer, so there was no food during the day either. He had resorted to stealing regularly and gotten pretty good at it. He stuck to gas station food since it was the easiest to get away with. He would wait for a woman to walk into the gas station either by herself or even better if there were kids with her. Then he just went in with them, and walked out with them as well.
But there was never enough to get rid of that pain in his stomach for lack of food. And when he wasn't worried about food, he was terrified when his foster father drank too much and whipped him with his belt, across his back, leaving him bleeding and raw, and with no way to clean it. He quickly learned that this was his fate in life. He had to have done something really awful. He just wished he knew what it was, so he could stop it. He would lay awake many nights just laying on his stomach until the pain numbed and his hunger pains went away on their own.
When Alex was 11, he was caught with a muscle magazine. His brothers had been caught with Play Boys and slapped on the back for it. But the rage on his father's face when he'd seen the muscle magazine had terrified him. He had hoped his father would believe he wanted to build muscle on his scrawny frame. Instead he had guess right and assumed Alex bought it for the pictures. Both were correct. He did want to gain muscle, but the lure of the magazines had been the men in them.
It was the first time Alex had found out who he was. And this was the worst offense his father could think of. He'd beaten Alex so bad that he had had to miss school for two months. His face had been beaten to the point he could barely see and his mouth had been wired shut. He had broken his right arm again, his hip and his back. The bat to his back had also caused him to lose his spleen.
Their father had taken him to the emergency room and told the doctors that he had been in a fight with an older kid who had taken a bat to him. Alex had shivered knowing who had really used the bat. CPS had come to the hospital and Alex had kept to the story his father had woven. He didn't need another beating with that bat.
Now at least he knew why he was so unlovable. His father had told him over and over again as he was repeatedly beating him with that bat. He was evil. Only the devil would make one boy lust after another boy. It was evil and wrong.
It was the first time he'd understood what the word fag had meant. Apparently he was a sick perverted fag and that was why his mother had left. She'd been ashamed of him. This more than anything else, hurt the most. Now he knew why his mom had left him with the monster. There was something wrong with him.
When Michael turned 11 he was sent back to Roswell and into yet another foster home. He had stopped hoping this one would be better. He was soon sent into another form of hell. The couple were religious fanatics. He didn't know what that meant when he first got there, but he'd soon found out. Every time he couldn't live up to their religious rules, he was burned with a cigar his foster father smoked. His foster father was head of his church and Michael had to live up to very high standards.
When Michael couldn't, he'd been burned. He'd been found with a Play Boy at 12, and threatened with fire to keep the devil away. When he'd been caught holding hands with a boy, he'd learned what was meant by fire. There were so many burn marks on his back he couldn't feel it any longer. There was no way to take care of them, and no one that would. He didn't know which was worse, the belt buckle from his last foster home or the cigar burns.
When his back became scar tissue, the cigar burns then started in on his butt. He'd cried out until he was hoarse, but the burns kept coming. At least he now knew why he was so unlovable. He was the devil. He was perverted. Perverted for looking at women undressed, and for holding a boy's hand.
After awhile Michael had learned to do nothing to anger his foster crazies. He toed the line, got good grades, which was easy, and cause no more problems.
He had finally let Max know of his scars on his back and the burns on his butt. He needed to be able to go to school so he could get out of the shit hole one day. He had Max heal his back and butt and it looked like he's never been burned.
Right after that CPS showed up and Michael was removed from that home and sent to live with another drunk, but this one just ignored him and his wife just yelled at him a lot.
Whenever possible he stayed away from home. Again, taking up sleeping in the desert. The peaceful night sky as his blanket.
When he was old enough to work, he saved up enough to buy a used truck. It barely ran but it ran enough to get him to school and the desert so he could sleep there at night. He never tried again to buck the system or hope for love.
After Alex's horrific beating, he'd played the perfect kid until he was 15. Then he'd rebelled. He figured since CPS had them on their radar again, now was the time to do what he wanted. To taunt his father. He started dressing half punk, half Goth. It bothered his father, but not like when he was caught with the magazine. They were under CPS' radar again due to something his oldest brother had done. He'd been 'punished' enough to leave bruises and they were noticed in his gym class by the teacher.
When Alex was in his senior year of high school, he'd fallen in love for the first and last time. He had known about Michael Guerin, and the rumors all over campus, but he'd not bothered with all that. He'd had his own problems. Then the more they crossed paths, the more he was drawn to Michael Guerin. And soon the young man had become his obsession. He looked for every excuse to be around him.
When Guerin had taken his guitar he had the perfect excuse to go after him.
When he realized that Michael did indeed live in his truck, he'd hurt for him and casually mentioned his tool shed since he knew Guerin would not want charity.
When Guerin had asked if the rumors about him were true he hadn't answered. He'd just looked him in the eye and walked away, mentioning the shed over his shoulder. He wasn't ashamed of who he was, only he didn't think it was anyone's business, including one Michael Guerin.
When Michael was a senior in high school he fell in love for the first and last time. He'd heard of the rebellious punk/Goth guy who didn't care what people thought about him, especially since it was rumored he was gay. This idea of being rebellious drew him in. He had lived most of his life in fear of being rebellious because of the consequences. He'd also heard that the guys father was a military man and very strict. So how was Alex Manes allowed to parade around like a hellion. This fascinated Michael. He'd also heard rumors of how strict the Manes' father was on his sons.
When he'd gotten his first up close look at Alex Manes, his heart beat faster and his hands became sweaty. At first he thought he was sick, but then realized it only happened around one Alex Manes, and he knew what love sick meant. He had been trying to figure out a way of getting close to his love interest for days when he found the perfect way. He'd done what he did best and stolen Alex Manes' guitar.

Safe Haven, Pt. 1
A/N: Billy moves into the house across the street from Piper, a girl with a mysterious past.
Timeline loosely follows Season 2 and disregards certain elements of Season 3.
Disclaimer: I don’t approve of, or excuse some of Billy’s behavior. I just enjoy how well exicuted the character is and its interesting to write for him.
Chapter 1
The town of Hawkins, Indiana was always a bit peculiar. Strange things always seemed to happen there and they got stranger every day. This story begins in October of 1967. That’s when I was born. My mother was a scientist and researcher in a very top secret government lab that was housed in Hawkins. Cherie Lindell was her name, she and her sister, Diane, grew up in Hawkins. My father's name was Jeff Callahan and he went to school with my mother. And they were different as different could be. My mother was a science nerd, anti-social and completely lost in her own world. My father played football, and was incredibly mechanically inclined and took auto shop basically every period his senior year, or so I’m told. But somehow they found their way to each other and managed to form a strong relationship and managed to keep that going while my mother was away getting her degree and my father stayed in Hawkins growing his auto shop and becoming a pillar of the community and all that. By the time my mother graduated and secured her government job, my father had bought a two story house with a white picket fence for the two of them to grow into together. Not long after they were married and I was on the way. That’s when things began to get a bit dicey.
The project that my mother was working on was so top secret, so secret that not even my father knew. But the lab was working on human experimentation working to develop mental and psychic abilities. My mother allowed herself to be experimented on while she was pregnant with me. And that is how I, Piper Callahan, was born with some scary abilities. To be exact telekinesis and empathic tendencies. As a child I Thought it was normal. I thought every other child could do the things that I could and I never questioned why I was homeschooled and the only places I ever went, were to my aunt Diane’s and uncle Jim’s house, and my moms lab. And that's when the bad thing happened. I was seven years old, I didn’t have good control of my abilities and I was throwing a tantrum. A big one. Things flying around the room and a side table hit my daddy in the back of the head. After that I spent a lot of time alone. And then Diane and Jim convinced my mother to put me into the public school system. My powers seemed to be gone after the bad thing. Or so I let everyone believe. The only people that knew were my mother and the doctors at the lab. They were stupid and easy enough to convince. I grew and had a relatively normal childhood and a normal adolescence. A rough transition through puberty and all that good stuff. I mourned the death of my cousin and watched my aunt and uncle's marriage fall apart. My aunt moved away from Hawkins and got remarried. We didn’t talk much. My mother went off the deep end and almost never came home. I found solace in my uncle. Uncle Hop as I so affectionately called him. He was the chief of police. He knew of my abilities and believed they were gone. I never wanted anyone else to know about me ever again. We spent a lot of time together and I took care of him more than he took care of me. I had plenty of friends at school. I was a floater and liked by almost everyone. Nancy, Steve, Barb, Jonathan and many others. I was intelligent, athletic, artistic, good with cars like my dad. I became someone that I like. And then the next bad thing happened.
The disappearance of Will Beyers. A tragedy felt by almost everyone in the community. And at the same time I felt another presence in town. A familiar one but I couldn’t place it. A lot of crazy things happened. Monsters sneaking their way around town. Mysterious disappearances. My friend Barb, taken into what seven year old me called “the scary place.” And then with a series of insane events Nancy, Jonathan and I ended up meeting up with Nancy’s brother and his friends. And the familiar presence. She was eleven. I had been number one. Soul sisters in a project that should have never existed. She was untrusting and skittish. She could barely speak in coherent thoughts. She must have been kept in almost total isolation. Focusing on growing her powers. She was younger than me. Younger than Mike and the other kids. Maybe twelve. I didn’t want to reveal my powers I didn’t want anyone to know. But I pulled her aside and i showed her the number on my arm as well. She touched it with her fingers, then my face, “Sister,” she said and smiled, “Pretty.”
“Sister,” I repeated. “You’ll keep my secret?” I asked her.
She looked confused.
“I can’t do it anymore. I’m broken. No one but you knows.” I said to her.
“Sisters keep secrets.” She said determined.
We found will. Saved the day. Defeated the bad guys and all that jazz. After the commotion eleven disappeared. I told Uncle Hop everything. And together we were able to find eleven in the woods and she came with us. Hop had a cabin in the middle of the woods. Almost no one knew about it and we knew she would be safe there. As time went on I began to let El in on the secret that I still had my powers and made her promise not to tell anyone. It was dangerous for all parties involved if anyone found out about my abilities. Together we worked on controlling and growing our gifts and Hop was happy we had each other. And I was happy that she had Hop. I loved El and she adored me right back. Things looked like they were going to be ok.
I hadn’t seen my mother in over a week. She hadn’t come home from her lab and I was sure at this point she had her own apartments deep within the sub levels. Across the street a moving truck pulled into the driveway of a previously vacant house. After that a station wagon and a sexy ass blue Camaro. I was sitting on the couch in my living room, not even trying to pretend to not be staring at the car. And the boy that got out of the car was just as sexy. From his boots up to the ass hugging jeans. To the button up lazily tucked in and the leather jacket. And god the hair on that boy. He saw me looking and I didn’t even care. He raised an eyebrow and cockily smiled at me and gave a little wave. I didn’t return any of the gestures but hopped off the couch, ran upstairs to my room and put on my own ass hugging jeans, a black Harley t shirt, my chucks and looked at myself in the mirror. Delicious. I thought to myself. I had quite a reputation around town that I did thoroughly enjoy. Everyone said I reminded them of Stevie Nicks if she had dark hair. So if mother Stevie was the white witch then i was the Black witch. My skin was very fair, and my hair was a stark contrast, it was nearly black and my eyes were electric green. I was incredibly petite but my small stature was nothing in comparison to my aura. I won’t lie, I used my telekinesis to make my hair float about and make me appear lighter on my feet. I flittered down into the kitchen and thanked the almighty that i had the gumption to bake cookies earlier that morning. I piled the chocolate chunk cookies onto a plate and headed out my door and across the street. The first person I met was the daughter, “Welcome to the neighborhood neighbor, I’m Piper.” I offered her a cookie which she took.
“I’m Max.” There was rustling behind her, she turned around and saw the guy I watched get out of the Camaro earlier. “That’s my brother, Billy. Or Jackass, whichever suits you better.” She said just before turning around to carry another box inside the house.
“Cute kid, you must be the luckiest big brother ever. Would you like a cookie, Jackass, was it?” I joked.
He clenched his jaw briefly and then cracked a smile, “I think Billy will do just fine beautiful.” He said snatching a cookie from me. I held my hand out for him to shake and when his skin touched mine I felt a powerful emotion practically kick me in the stomach. Suffering, pain, loneliness, sadness, anger. Violent rage. Lust, insecurity. A lot to unpack for sure. I didn’t know what could cause so much pain in someone the same age as me, save for my own experiences. A cold and steely voice broke our eye contact.
“Can I help you?” The man said. I assumed Billy and Max’s father. Quite the unpleasant man. I immediately noticed that when he approached Billy seemed to shrink. He seemed smaller, eyes cast to the ground. I immediately didn’t like him. “Hi, its nice to meet you. My mom and I live across the street. I’m Piper Callahan, I brought you cookies.” I said as I held out my hand for him to shake. Again when the skin touched my hand, a gut punch of feeling. Primal rage mostly. And black and sticky evil. I understood so much more about Billy now. And I was worried for the rest of the family. His wife came around the truck and we went through the same process. I got almost nothing from her. She was almost like the shell of someone who used to be a person. She took the cookies and disappeared into the house. Her husband soon after her. Max reappeared from around the backside of the truck. I said to her, “It was real nice meeting you Max, I live mostly alone over there, my mom works a lot, if you ever need anything, girl time, a sleepover, a ride to school, just come over ok? My car is cooler than your brothers by far. And my motorcycle is even cooler than that.” She smiled at me and thanked me before disappearing again with another box.
“That was awful nice of you,” Billy said quite flirtily. “Thanks for stopping by. Will I be seeing you around school?”
“You’ll be seeing me, Billy.” I said, gently flirting back at him. I had a rule, I wasn’t going to ever get close to anyone. I didn’t want another bad thing happening. I couldn’t bear to know that I hurt someone else close to me again. But god damn was he a specimen. And there was no shame in some harmless flirting. “Will you let me see the insides of that beautiful beast you have down there?” I said motioning to his car.
“I think that might be a little out of your league princess.” He said.
“Oh sugar, I bet you I know more about it than you do. I have a ‘69 impala up in the garage and my dad was a mechanic. He died when I was seven but I inherited the talent from him. The guy that owns his shop now is great, I work there on weekends and in the summer. Pop the hood?” He looked behind him quickly and walked down the slope to the road. He opened the door and popped the hood. I opened it and looked inside. I whistled. It was a gorgeous and nearly immaculate block. But it looked like his ignition cable was a little loose. “You ever have problems starting her up? Mostly just when its cold?” I asked him.
“How’d you know?” He asked actually surprised that I seemed to know what I was talking about.
“Come here I’ll show you.” When he came around the front I pointed to the cable. “You see the screw you have securing the ignition cable? It’s the wrong size and its not attached properly. Which isn’t really that big of a deal, but when its cold and the metal shrinks up the connections aren’t as good. So it's a little harder to start. Bring it up the driveway later and I can fix that for you.”
“I don’t know...were kind of busy unpacking and all. Neil might not let me.”
I reached up and stroked his cheek, a spark of softness beifely shot through him. I could feel it. It made me wonder how long it had been since he had had any true compassionate human interaction. I’m sure he was having physical contact on the regular of the good and not so good variety. But something so gentle and kind, I wasn’t sure about. He seemed a troubled person but something in him sparked something in me and I knew in my heart I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t try and show him some compassion and genuine human contact.
“I get it, its ok Billy. Same goes for you by the way. If you ever need anything, a ride to school, some girl time, a sleepover,” I paused and became a bit more somber when I said, “somewhere safe, to escape too. I’ve got the space and I don’t like being alone all the time. So really you’d be doing me a favor.”
I didn’t let him respond before sauntering back off to my side of the street, swinging my hips back and forth the entire way. Before I walked back inside the house I turned around, Billy was still looking at me. I wiggled my fingers at him before spinning around again and walking inside and shutting the door behind me. I was worried. I’d hardly met the family, but I knew that things were off. I knew that BIlly was going to be trouble, that he was trouble. I knew the kind of guy he was. Hard on the outside to hide the sadness that was inside him. Taking it out on other people. I was going to have to watch out for that. I was going to have to be careful not to get to close. None of the boys in Hawkins could ever tempt me like I knew that one out there could do. But that wasn’t the thing I was worried about the most. I was worried about that little girl, Max. The same age as El. I was worried she would be the next punching bag for Mr. Hargrove

A Completely Bizarre Halloween
I was gonna wait until Saturday to post this...but I can’t hold off anymore. A fun bit of writing based off the very very anime game run by @lordcaliginous with @starcunning, @tamsynspeaks and @mystictheurge
Extra thanks to my wonderful wife @starcunning for the sweet-ass art of my girl Shouko.
-----------------
It was a dark and stormy night as clouds gathered over the ocean to the east of Hitachinaka. If the wind were any indication it would be raining soon. Perfect for a Halloween party.
The sun was already down and traffic was at a minimum, so the bright red motorcycle was all but alone on the road as it flashed between streetlights, its custom paintjob glinting as if it glowed as it passed beneath every pool of light, its engine thrumming as the rider gunned the throttle between turns. An intersection loomed ahead and the bike tilted heavily as the rider leaned into turn only to face a pare of glinting crimson lights. With lightning reflexes, she straightened the handlebars and swung wide, driving on the center stripe as she zipped past the slower-moving truck, popping a wheelie with the motion. There was a brief honk of the larger vehicle's horn and the rider lowered her head slightly, snorting inaudibly behind the faceplate of her helmet. Maybe it was a little reckless, but she was already late enough, dammit.
Hitachinaka wasn't nearly as dense as Tokyo - what was - but as the streets narrowed and parking spaces became vanishingly rare as she got closer to her destination amidst a block of freestanding houses. But then a flash of light off a glossy black paintjob caught her eye and she grinned, swinging into a parking space a few inches away from the bumper of a smoothly-sculpted foreign car and braking. As she turned off the bike she reached out and gave Shoji's car a fond pat. It was a nice vehicle, even if it was American. Miyumi's boyfriend had good taste.
With the bike's handlebars locked, Shouko reached up to pull off her helmet, shaking out hair that looked midnight-blue in the evening light and scratching her fingers through it as she shook her head, setting her accouterments to jangling softly. She dismounted with a smooth lift and spin of one leg before unlocking the cargo carrier she'd bolted to the bike's rear seat before leaving, stowing her helmet before taking out the last piece of her costume.
She hadn't worn any of her leathers - Shouko was confidant in her riding ability, and besides, the leather jacket would have crushed the shoulder pads of her long coat. It reached all the way down to her calves - Shouko wasn't nearly as tall as Erika, who could have made a decent half-giant in a LARP, but she was just tall enough to pull this off. Beneath it, she wore a grey shirt and black slacks that wouldn't have looked out of place on a normal day, but to which she'd added a pair of belts with a head-spinning sawtoothed print pattern and a set of pointed riding boots. A gold-painted chain was anchored to the long coat's popped collar, and Shouko pulled on the brimmed cap to complete the world-famous image of Jotaro Kujo.
Shouko Kogawa wasn't as money as some members of her high school class - who could probably have had a solid gold chain if they wanted - but she'd spent a few extra yen, and the investment was worth it, she thought as she briefly checked her look in her phone and flashed a quick V-sign. Then she locked everything up and only hesitated a little bit before leaving the bike behind. The Honda weighed in at 200kg, and parked just behind Shoji's car with everything made tamper-proof, nobody was going to make off with the thing without a serious investment, and this was a nice neighborhood anyway. She'd wash and wax the rain away tomorrow. With that she squared her shoulders and thrust her hands in her pockets, head low so that the brim of her cap covered the magenta of her eyes as she started off. The party was about three blocks away, just enough time to get into character, and she breathed slow and deep to get her heart rate down after her ride, practicing her scowl and trying not to shiver - the wind was getting really damn cold.
Thunder boomed in the distance and her shoulders hitched slightly. She'd never been scared of storms when she'd been a kid, but then, for most people overcoming their fear of storms was about learning that the thunder and lightning weren't nearly as scary as they seemed. For Shouko and a few others, things had come about the opposite way, a firsthand look into what lurked behind the storm. Nowadays, the nights seemed a little darker, the pools of light beneath each lamppost and the windows of houses more than ever like islands of safety. The thunder boomed again and Shouko chewed the inside of her lip. The air felt thick, almost hard to breathe. It felt like something was about to happen; between the bolts of thunder even the world seemed to be holding its breath, silence reigning in a world of seemingly no movement, no life but for a single man seated on a bench on the other side of the next intersection, reading a newspaper beneath one of the streetlights. Shouko increased her pace a little bit. Even just a short 'yo' would be a welcome relief from the sudden tension.
It started as she passed the last car parked before the intersection. Unseen as the girl's heels stepped past, something like liquid shadow seeped from beneath the car, joined from another elongated tendril of seemingly living oil from the car across the street. There came the quiet scratch of claws on asphalt, and the sound brought Shouko to a halt midway between one curb and the next as she watched movement suddenly appear beneath the first car parked on the opposite side.
They could have passed for dogs...if you were blind. One had seven eyes, another had four. One of them had two mouths. All of them had stubby, muscular legs. All of them were a dark, almost liquid grey, like shadows come to life. Shouko clenched her hands inside her pockets. Her right hand touched her keys, her left her pack of cigarettes. Her phone was in her coat's breast pocket, and she'd have to reach for it if she wanted to use it. Same with her prized butterfly knife, which was tucked through a loop in the pants at the small of her back - not that the knife would have come in handy against shadowbeasts like these.
She turned her head slightly, first one way, then the other. There were six of the beasts ringed around her, two in front, two behind, one to either side. She grit her teeth. Where was a car when you needed one? Some random suburbanite happening by in his sedan would give her the opening she needed, as the shadowbeasts slunk away from the headlights. The guy on the sidewalk was no use. He couldn't bring the streetlight's power with him, and one of the first things Shouko and her study group had learned the hard way was that most people couldn't see the otherworldly creatures.
But wait a second - he was actually folding up his newspaper and setting it on the bench. He was turning towards her! Maybe he was coming to see why the costumed weirdo had stopped in the middle of the street. But then as he left the light, the man's body altered radically. A handful of extra eyes sprouted in his brow and temples, his hair vanishing beneath a ridged crest, his limbs growing narrow as his nails sharpened, and his back acquired a sudden hunch as his flesh turned a dull grey-brown. An extra pair of arms sprouted from the back of his shoulders, claws like pincers arcing over his head.
All of this happened in a heartbeat and Shouko felt her blood run cold. A shadow-taken, like Takuya? Except instead of a hulking behemoth he looked more like a human spider. Maybe just some new kind of monster she hadn't seen yet. The thing stopped a few steps behind the shadowbeasts and grinned at her with a tiger's teeth. "A nice night for a walk, isn't it?" the creature spoke, its voice a hiss. Shouko didn't respond, and a bolt of lightning briefly flashed some kilometers away, making the beasts flinch and snap. "So good of you to come this way, Dauntless Heart," it went on when she said nothing. "We'd despaired of meeting one of you tonight."
That was a butt-clencher. This wasn't just some bad coincidence. They'd laid a trap. From the sound of things everyone else was safe, but that was the hitch, wasn't it? They'd only been out to catch one of them, and they had. Shouko clenched her fists and tried to think fast as the thing kept going. "You and your friends are a formidable team together, but apart... you are all but helpless," It licked its narrow lips. "There is no one to guard your flank, no one to heal your wounds here. That is how you will fall before us - one by one."
Shouko grit her teeth. Her heart was in her throat, and her eyes threatened to well up. She was just a block and a half from safety. If she screamed, would someone come out? Would they get to her in time? Could she maybe vault onto one of the cars and hop from roof to roof and get away that way? It wasn't supposed to be like this. She was supposed to go to a party at Kanako's and see her study group. Her friends. She was supposed to see Saika tonight.
You damn fool, she suddenly thought with a burst of heat. What are you gonna do, let them down? Let Saika down? You're wearing a Jotaro Kujo getup. You look like the badass everyone thinks you are. Now act like it. And like a dry woodpile catching from the flick of a lighter, the fear suddenly evaporated, replaced with sheer rage. The spider-thing was still talking and she suddenly realized it wasn't even all that good a villain speech. No way was this going to be the last thing she heard.
"...so foolish of you," it was saying, "to come alone and so late, when-"
“SHUT UP! YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!" Shouko snarled, taking a half-step forward, and had the pleasure of seeing the thing cough mid-word, eyes widening.
"H-how dare-" it tried to restart.
"You bastard," Shouko growled, reaching up to turn her cap slightly to one side. "I have a party to get to and you're out here wasting my time!" She drew her hands from her pockets and flicked her fingers, and with a sudden snap-hiss and a crackle of flame a pair of long daggers had appeared in her hands, fire dancing from the glowing blades. "So I don't have a tank? So I don't have a healer? So what! I'm the Dauntless Heart! Did you really think you and your dogs were going to take me on alone? You won't last six seconds against me!" she challenged, raising one dagger and pointing it at the spider-thing.
"You...you're a fool!" the thing snapped in reply, the shadowbeasts growling in anticipation.
"Don't believe me?" the girl said as she sucked in air and tensed her muscles. "Just watch!"
There was a blur of motion as she suddenly exploded into a lunge to her left. One of the daggers flashed in a broad arc and the shadowbeast that had stood there let out a cry of pain as a cloud of writhing smoke burst from the wound. Before a heart could beat once, the girl had reversed direction and, with a leap of impossible quickness, dispatched the beast that had stood behind her and to the right with a similar slash of one dagger.
Shouko Kagawa had the tightly-muscled build of a gymnast, a sport at which she had been the regional champion as little as a couple years back, and that had been before the awakening of her powers. With them, she moved like lightning, little more visible than the fiery flashes of her blades as she criscrossed back and forth between the hounds, striking with first one hand and then the other.
Her boots skidded on the asphalt as she came to a stop in front of the last of the creatures and drove her knife upwards in a powerful arc that sliced deeply between the thing's paired mouths. Six beasts, six strikes. The air was full of shadow and smoke as the remnants of her attackers hit the pavement, sizzling and sputtering as their shadow-given flesh began to dissolve. Shouko tilted her head first one way and then the other, feeling her neck pop a little bit. She hadn't had any time to limber up.
"Your next line will be 'but our plan was perfect!' Now you," she said as she turned to face the spider-thing once more.
It was clutching at its head with its human set of arms. "But our plan was perfect!" it lamented, then jerked as its multitude of eyes widened. "N-NANI?!"
"What happened to 'you are all but helpless'?" Shouko baited, stepping forward. "Who's the lone, foolish one now?"
It snarled and readied its claws, pincer-arms snapping forward. "No matter the beasts, then. I will cut you down myself! You dare approach me?"
"I can't stab you to death from here," she deadpanned. This clown really was making it too easy.
It hissed and leaped, moving almost as fast as she had moments ago. Shouko dodged back and to one side, striking out with one of her daggers, but the thing was too quick, and the fiery blade cut nothing but air. The pincer-arms struck at her, snapping closed with audible snick sounds, Shouko tried not to think about what one of those things would do if it closed on a wrist. It swiped with its clawed fingertips and she bolted back a few steps, trying to keep her daggers between her and the thing. With four arms, it was hard to defend against the shadow-spider's attacks.
Something tapped against the brim of her cap. A moment later there was soft patter against the metal hoods of the nearby cars. Another boom of thunder shook the air. The storm had finally arrived. Her attacker smiled once more, showing teeth. "We shall see how well those blades of fire handle themselves in the rain, shall we?"
Shouko grit her teeth. She was actually offended. "What does this look like, a Colonel Mustang getup?" she roared, and now it was her turn to bolt forward, stabbing for the thing's midsection. It jumped back, but there was a sizzle as the edge of her blade grazed its flesh. It hissed and flailed at her with its pincers, and Shouko was so busy dodging those she forgot the claws, and one hand swept up to put a neat pair of slices into her left-side brow, the force of the blow knocking her cap from her head. Shouko stumbled back as blood trickled from the wounds, sliding lazily down the curve of her eye socket and spilling over her cheek from there.
The rain was beginning to intensify, and the droplets sputtered and sizzled, turning to steam where they touched the ethereal blades. The shadow-spider lifted its hand and, predictably, licked the blood from its claws. "The first of many. Like droplets of rain, the blood shall flow from you until there is none left to give."
Shouko felt her eye instinctively closing to block out blood. This was no good. She couldn't fight with one eye closed. This had to end fast. With a twitch of her wrists she spun one of her daggers into a reverse grip and slammed the pommels together so that with a burst of flame they coalesced into a single, elongated crescent, a glimmering string appearing to link the ends of the newly-formed bow. With a quick motion, Shouko made to pinch the string between her thumb and first two fingers, drawing the bow with hardly an effort. As she did so, another glimmer took shape, that of an arrow pinched between her fingers, and a moment later she let fly. There was hardly any time to react - but the damned spider-thing did anyway, twisting its upper torso so that the flaming arrow only grazed its shoulder and flew down the street, sputtering out on the wet asphalt.
"Is that your best?" it taunted.
"Shut up! This fight is going to ruin my cosplay, you freak!" Shouko hefted the bow and, with a breath, dug deep into her reserves and began to rapidly pluck the string, an effort that wouldn't have shot an arrow ten feet with a real bow. With the ethereal weapon, however, each twang launched two or three shafts into the air, each of them leaving blazing trails in their wake as they scattered to and fro, sending the spider-thing scuttling to dodge them, under finally the girl ceased to pluck the string and it came up to its full height with a laugh of triumph, only to see that Shouko had taken one hand from the bow and was pointing towards the sky. It looked up.
A dozen glimmering shafts hung in the air above its head, ferocious orange against the black of the clouds above.
"So you can dodge an arrow," Shouko said, forcing herself to keep her voice even. "How many arrows can you dodge, I wonder?" Then she pressed her thumb to her forefinger and snapped. All of the arrows descended at once, moving with blistering speed as they struck the nonplussed shadow creature. It howled in pain, not just from the shafts that pierced its flesh but at the flames that suddenly spread across its body, accompanied by a blast of energy that rocked several of the nearby cars and threw a gout of steam into the air as the raindrops nearby evaporated.
Shouko burst through the pressure wave, her weapon once more split into its paired daggers as she lunged and struck over and over again, letting out a bark of sound to punctuate each blow that, thanks to the speed of her attacks, moulded together into a single rolling cry. As if to put the final exclamation point on the matter, the last blow struck through the shadow-spider's jaw and into the roof of its mouth, lifting it from its feet as the eldritch fires slowly dissipated to leave it a smoking husk.
"Why...?" it gurgled between its forcibly-clenched teeth. "Everything... was... perfect..."
Shouko pushed lightly and the creature slipped from her dagger to sprawl on the roadway, and with a flick of her wrist dismissed her weapons with a hiss and snap of air. "You lost for one reason," she growled as she turned and went back for her cap, bending to pick it up and gently brushing it before gingerly setting it back into place on her head, careful to avoid her injury. "Just one."
She turned and looked back at her fallen opponent, ringed by the slowly-dissolving corpses of its hounds, and raised a hand palm-up. A series of soft blue lights, like lanterns bobbing on the sea, took shape around the fallen shadow creatures and swirled around Shouko with a sound like a soft sigh, collecting in her hand. As the energy left them, the creatures' collapse accelerated until little was left of them but sooty stains on the blacktop that the rain quickly began to wash away.
"You really pissed me off," she said as the spider-thing vanished into a puff of smoke and the collected energy sank into her palm.
Despite herself, she let out a little sigh of relief as the thing disappeared. That settled the question of its true nature. If it had been human beneath that nightmare facade it would have reverted to its true face, the way Takuya had. Between that knowledge and the energy she'd absorbed, Shouko felt almost refreshed. Except for a throbbing headache where she'd been cut.
She left the intersection behind, resuming the walk to Kanako's in what was by now a steady drizzle, and as she went she fished in her pocket for one of her cigarettes, drawing it from the pack and putting the butt of it to her lips as she hunted for her lighter. Where was the damn thing? Had she left it at home? Annoyed, she twitched her fingers and one of her daggers snapped back to life, the fires crackling from the blade igniting the end of the cigarette.
"Yare yare daze," she grumbled as she dismissed the weapon once more and drew on the smoke.
-------------------
"Kogawa! Good to see y-are you okay?" was her greeting from the vampire that opened the door as he spied the remnants of clotted blood that hadn't washed off in the rain.
"M'fine," she said with a wink and a grin. "Just gotta talk to Kana." With that she stepped inside, pinching the smoldering end of her cigarette and dunking it in what looked like an abandoned drink before tossing it out. As she walked into the main room she saw Miyumi, draped in a long white coat and a set of goggles, turning and wrinkling her nose. "Relax, it's already out," Shouko said before the Dr. Frankenstein could say anything. She wondered if Shoji was somewhere nearby done up with stitching and patchy clothes.
It was after she'd had Kanako see to her head injury and cleaned up and grabbed a drink that a sugar-sweet voice declared "Shouko, there you are!" as a head full of golden curls came bouncing up. Saika had pulled her sidelocks into a set of red ties, and an angelic wing made of cardboard covered her right shoulder to accentuate the white-knight getup she wore. The blonde wasted no time in slinking into Shouko's side, slipping her arms around Shouko's waist so that the taller girl could settle one of her own around her shoulders. "Kanako said you ran into trouble on the way here," she said, bright green eyes full of worry.
"Yeah," Shouko said with a bit of a shrug. "I got the chance to do a whole routine but I screwed up and botched one of the references. I don't think the guy noticed, though. Finished strong," she concluded with a grin.

Everything He Wants
Carl Grimes x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 2404 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Reader is a savior that Carl likes, the only problem is that he struggles to make a good impression.
Part 2
———————————————————————————————————
Carl didn’t know what to do the first time he saw you.
He didn’t have a tendency to be speechless, but for some reason, you managed to change all that in a second. You were just different, different from what, he wasn’t sure, but he knew that you were unlike anyone he’d ever seen in his entire life.
It wasn’t like he’d known a ton of women his age in all this, but he was confident that you were the only you there was out there. He’d never seen another person hold so much power before, and also be so unaware of it.
You just moved with so much ease, free of the usual strain that accompanied everyone who had lived and lost in this new world.
It was refreshing.
Of course, it didn’t hurt that he found you incredibly beautiful either. Your hair was wellkept and shiny, in a way that he hadn’t seen in a really long time, and even from this distance, he was sure that your eyes could convince even the cruelest of men to show mercy.
He didn’t know much about you, of course, other than the fact that you had rolled into Alexandria with the Saviors to steal all of their shit. By all accounts, he should have hated your guts, should have spit from where he stood, but he couldn’t make himself do it.
You may have been the enemy but at the same time, you were everything the young boy had ever fantasized about.
That was just a fact.
You were stunning, somehow carefree even as you paraded through the streets of Alexandria, almost as if this whole thing was little more than a game to you. Perhaps, from where you were standing, it was.
It wasn’t your things the men were hauling off in trucks, or your people that would be scrunching up supplies just to survive. Your people made their living by doing just what you were doing now, stealing and thieving.
Carl assumed it was an easy life.
He couldn’t tell too much about you from where he was, watching from the second story window of his house but it was clear as day that you must have belonged to Negan, who was arguably more of a monster than the dead.
It was hard to tell if you were his daughter or one of his wives, but he couldn’t imagine that you would ever marry a creep like that. Even thinking about the latter made his skin crawl, and before he could make himself physically ill, he forced that thought from his mind. All Carl knew for sure was when the saviors had come to loot their homes and you trailed along like a puppy after its master.
No matter how beautiful you were or how captivated you had managed to make him, you were the enemy and he couldn’t allow himself to forget that. No one with any conscience could ever take part in what they were doing.
He certainly couldn’t.
Carl had done plenty of terrible things to survive but he would never take from people who hadn’t done anything to him. There was doing what had to be done and there was being cruel and hurting people.
What Negan had done to Glenn and Abraham was more than enough to decipher which kind you and the rest of the savior's must have been.
Though, you weren’t exactly a savior.
You weren’t a wife of Negan’s, as you were too young and impressionable for him to ever think of proposing something like that to you but you weren’t exactly his daughter either. You had come to the sanctuary with your real father, a man who Negan respected greatly.
When he died, Negan decided to do anything he could to make sure that you were taken care of and getting the things that you needed. He wanted to keep you alive and make sure that you were happy, if for no other reason than to honor your father.
It didn’t hurt that he didn’t have a child of his own either, and spoiling you came naturally to him.
Negan had always had a soft spot for kids, and with the world more dangerous than ever before, he couldn’t turn a blind eye to you, clearly in need. Before long, the rest of the saviors had come to know you as little more than his girl.
You were, for all intensive purposes, the princess of the saviors. Frankly, you thought that sometimes even Negan himself forgot that he wasn’t your father.
He trusted you and came to you when he needed advice, or wasn’t sure what to do. Sometimes he wasn’t sure if he was being too harsh or not being harsh enough. Sometimes he was having a rough day and just wanted to relax.
Whatever it was, you were his go to, you were his right hand.
You two loved to take walks around the sanctuary, Lucille hanging loosely in his grip, ‘just in case’ he would tell you, though you knew deep down that he was just worried about leaving the bat unattended.
He taught you how to skip rocks, and brought you back pretty jewelry and special snacks when the mood struck him. The rest of the world may not have known it, but to you, Negan was family and he was damn good at it.
You cherished those moments you spent together, but there was one thing you loved more than anything else in the world, more than any of those other things he would take you along for.
You absolutely loved raid days.
It may have seemed convoluted to someone like Carl or any of those other people the saviors were taking advantage of but to you, this was just how it was. This was how you got to protect and provide for so many people, this was how you lived.
In the old world, it would have been the worst possible outcome you could think of, but this was different. You understood that the people who looked out for anyone other than themselves first, died, and you wanted to live.
It was as simple as that.
Raid days, for the saviors, meant that you would go to Alexandria or whatever camp you found that had to pay up and take what you wanted. Negan saw it as a sort of payment, a way to ensure that they would cooperate with the rules the saviors lived under.
As long as you paid, there wasn’t going to be any issue, and for the most part, people paid.
You liked it for a different reason though. Alexandria was beautiful, as was the Hilltop colony, and the Kingdom, and all those places you did business with. You loved being able to see new people and watch how they looked out for each other.
It was nice.
So nice, in fact, that by the time the two of you, along with the large assembly of trucks and men behind you pulled up to the gates of Alexandria, you were visibly shaking in anticipation. You didn’t get to leave the sanctuary super often, so you relished in these times that you could.
You only paused briefly when the truck stopped, looking at Negan for permission. You didn’t need to, not really, but these sorts of things had a bit of a formula to them and you didn’t want to get in the way of business.
It was clear that you were only spectating this whole event. Negan didn’t like to get you involved, not unless he absolutely had to, and so far, he had never had to.
The man nodded slightly, a huge grin on his face as he watched you hop down from the truck. “Go play for a bit, I’ll find you once I get some business taken care of” he allowed, waving you off as he stepped out too, Lucille in hand as she always was.
Carl watched the entire exchange, from the safety of his bedroom window. He knew that he shouldn’t be, watching, as it were but how could he not? You were very good looking, and walking the streets of his home.
No one would have blamed him for staring, not with the very slim chance of meeting a girl his own age ever again. He couldn’t help that you lived with them, that you were one of them, even if he should have cared more.
It should have bothered him, your very existence should have made his blood boil, but it just didn’t.
Carl watched you walk down the street, a small skip in your step as you did so, doing your very best to make conversation with Carol, only to be ignored quite coldly by the older women. Clearly, it wasn’t lost on Carol what you were, and she wasn’t about to give you a pass just because you were young.
Her daughter was young, but this world had taken Sophia from her, so you didn’t get to just waltz in here and act like the world's your oyster. You were stealing from people, ruining their lives, and there was no excuse for that.
He watched for a few seconds more, fighting a battle with himself as he thought about what he wanted to do. There was no real harm that would come from him introducing himself to you, but there was no good reason for him to do it either.
This went on for a few more moments, before finally he sighed and walked down the stairs, not stopping until he was in the yard, headed in your direction. Carl was taking it slow, trying his very best to look as if he was observing but his gaze stayed positioned on you.
No matter what he did, you were all he could think about. He had never even spoken to you and at this rate, he probably never would but really, just being close to you was good enough for him.
He should have left you be, should have gone right back up to his room and pretended that nothing ever happened but that just wasn’t in the cards. As soon as he saw you head off toward the other side of the compound, he knew what he had to do.
The curiosity was killing him.
Casually, he made his way down the street, doing all that he could to be inconspicuous. Had anyone bothered to take a look at him, they would have put the pieces together quickly but that didn’t even really occur to Carl.
All he could do now was watch you until you stopped, your hands resting on the, most likely hot, leather of Daryl Dixon’s motorcycle. You were clearly interested in it, as anyone would have been, and Carl was in a trance.
His eyes were locked on your frame, his attention mainly poised on your face before dropping to your shoulders, your chest, your arms, those thighs, he could have continued but something jolted him before he could.
Or more accurately someone.
Carl glanced up in a hurry, doing his best to cover what he’d been doing, only to find you squatting down in front of him, trying to figure out what he was doing. The place he’d chosen to hide being behind a tree.
It was strange, even for you.
“Did you hear me?” you questioned, a harsh bite coating your sweet tone, an equally questioning look on your beautiful face. The boy in front of you floundered at first, finding that there was no good reason for what he was doing.
Any excuse he could come up with was creepy.
“What were you looking at?” you repeated, your close proximity silencing the boy and clouding his mind. One thing was for sure, if he thought you were beautiful from afar, you nearly knocked him off his feet this close up.
You were stunning.
“What?” He asked, sounding far dumber than he would have ever liked.
Carl didn’t ever get like this, ever, but to be fair, he didn’t have exchanges like this very often. For someone who grew up almost entirely in the apocalypse, he didn’t have a prayer. Of course, it didn’t hurt that you were a bit hard to swallow to begin with.
Naturally, you were a little weirded out by this kid, watching you from across the street, but in your typical way, you weren’t about to shy away from getting answers from him. Whatever he thought he was doing, you were going to make him justify it.
“You were watching me” There was something so accusatory about it, something that he couldn’t help to refute, even if he wanted to. You settled back on your calves, still far too close for Carl to be able to relax as you waited for an answer.
The trouble was that he didn’t have an answer for you.
“What’s your name?” He asked, ignoring your comments in favor of one of his own. For whatever reason, he decided to just go for broke, to do what he’d been desperately thinking about since those armored trucks pulled up.
...But that wasn’t going to work.
“Why should I tell you that?” You countered, doing your best to understand where this strange guy had come from. No one at the sanctuary would ever talk to you like that, but for some reason, he didn’t even hesitate.
It was sort of refreshing, you just couldn’t decide why.
“I’m Carl” he tried, hoping that he could pry an answer out of you before you had to go. He was sure this wasn’t going to be the last time he saw you, but he wanted to be able to call you out by name next time.
At least then, he’d have some hope of making up for being such a weirdo today.
You stood up slowly, looking down at the strange boy, a bandage over his eye, the other one shining as he waited for you hopefully. He had a cowboy hat over his dark brown hair and a dumb smirk playing on his lips, one that you desperately wanted to ignore.
He was weird, but somehow as you headed off toward the bike and the houses you had been admiring, you turned back at the last second, yelling in his direction before jogging off back to your group.
“It’s Y/N”

One of the most popular shows that FX created was the motorcycle drama Sons of Anarchy. Based on Shakespearian tragedy, and specifically set up like Hamlet, the series lasted for seven seasons and showed the rise and fall of the favored son, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), in a series created by Kurt Sutter.
RELATED: Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Hidden Details About The Characters' Wardrobe
Sutter, who had worked on The Shield with Shawn Ryan before taking on his own show, had a monster success. The series was FX's highest-rated series and was even more popular than The Shield and Nip/Tuck for a time. This meant that several high-profile actors wanted to appear on Sons of Anarchy. While some stood out, others had small roles that some fans might have already forgotten about.
10 Michael Chiklis
Kurt Sutter worked with Shawn Ryan on The Shield before he created Sons of Anarchy. That show was about corrupt police officers in the LAPD, specifically based on the real-life Rampart police scandal. The star of the show was Michael Chiklis, who played Vic Mackey, the head of the corrupt Strike Team. Chiklis also had a small role in Sons of Anarchy in the final season. He is a truck driver Gemma meets who drives the truck that killed Jax in the finale.
9 Robert Patrick
Robert Patrick plays an important role in Mayans, M.C., as Les Packer. He played the same role in Sons of Anarchy, but it is often easy to forget that Patrick was in that earlier role. He mostly kept his face covered and rarely looked like the actor fans have grown to know from roles like the villain in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In Sons of Anarchy, Patrick was the President of the San Bernardino chapter of Sons of Anarchy in Season 6.
8 David Hasselhoff
David Hasselhoff gained worldwide fame for his role as a lifeguard in Baywatch, and before that, as an action hero in the TV show Knight Rider. He is also a musician with major hits in Germany. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans got to know him thanks to Peter Quill's obsession with him in Guardians of the Galaxy. In Sons of Anarchy, Hasselhoff showed up in the fourth season episode titled "Brick" as a porn producer.
7 Lea Michele
There are a few actresses not known for gritty movie appearances that showed up in Sons of Anarchy. The most notable one was High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, who appeared in the fifth season as an escort named Nero Padilla. However, another shocker was Glee actress Lea Michele.
RELATED: Sons Of Anarchy: Most Popular Actors, Ranked By Instagram Followers
Michele appeared in the seventh season in one episode, titled 'Smoke 'em if You Got 'em'. She starred as a waitress who listened to Gemma talk about how Jax just lost his wife, Tara.
6 Joel McHale
Joel McHale is a comedian best known for his role in Community. However, he took on a very different role in Sons of Anarchy. McHale made his debut in Sons of Anarchy's fifth season episode, 'Small World', and is a man who flirted with Gemma on the show. However, he made a drastic mistake when he stole Gemma's car and money. This led to the next episode, where Jax, Nero, and other SAMCRO members chased him down, attacked him, and got the money back.
5 Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter made her name thanks to her role as Cordelia on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff Angel. Since then, she has mostly taken on small movie roles and guest appearances on various TV shows. This includes a turn on Sons of Anarchy in the event season episode 'Red Rose'. She had a minor role, playing a character named Carol, a conservative administrative director that Gemma spoke to when visiting her father at his care home facility.
4 Stephen King
Stephen King never hid the fact that he was a huge Sons of Anarchy fan. When Kurt Sutter learned about how big of a fan the Master of Horror was, he reached out to see if King would like to appear in the series. King said yes, but he had one request.
RELATED: Meet Mr. Mayhem: 10 Unique Sons Of Anarchy Terms & Their Meanings
King appeared as Bachman in the third season episode 'Caregiver'. He was a cleaner Tig hired to dispose of the body of Gemma's father's former caretaker. Bachman was a fun name since that was a pseudonym King used at one time, and the only thing King asked in return was to ride a motorcycle in the episode.
3 Taryn Manning
Taryn Manning is best known for her lead role in the hit Netflix drama series Orange Is the New Black. Manning played Piper Chapman in the series. However, before this, she had a small role on Sons of Anarchy. Manning took on the role of Cherry in the first season of the series, and her final appearance was in Season 3. Her character met Half-Sack and started to date him. When the ATF tried to force her to rat out SAMCRO, Jax helped her escape the country.
2 Derek Mears
Derek Mears has mostly worked as a stuntman, but he is also well-known as the last person to take on the role of Jason Voorhees in the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot. He also appeared in several other horror and sci-fi movies, with his most high-profile performance in the DC Comics series Swamp Thing as the Swamp Thing. Mears played the character of Plow, a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, and died in his only appearance in "Wolfsangel."
1 Doug Jones
Doug Jones is someone that most people wouldn't recognize if they saw him. This is because he mostly works under prosthetics. He portrayed Abe Sapien in Hellboy, The Pale Man in Pan's Labyrinth, The Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four and the Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Amphibian Man in The Shape of Water. In Sons of Anarchy, he appeared in the Season 6 episode titled "The Mad King." Jones played the character of Officer Crane.

China's 'Useless Edison' Mixes Inventing And Internet, With Funny Results
Yang Village, China:
His fans call him “The Useless Edison.” But inventor Geng Shuai doesn’t mind. In fact, he kind of likes it.
“People say my inventions are useless, but I think there are two dimensions to usefulness: practicality and amusement,” said the 30-year-old former welder, who left his job last year to focus full time on making his questionable contraptions, such as a motorbike with its own toilet. “I like doing this. So it’s useful.”
Every country has its toolshed inventors. But China – which gave the world movable type printing, gunpowder and the compass – has spawned a population of tinkerers who display the kind of outsize ambition that has helped the country become a global economic giant.
There’s a surprisingly large subset of farmers and other DIY devotees who have built submarines and light aircraft, various kinds of robotic plows and monster truck-style tractors.
Geng Shuai gave up a construction job and now supports his family through his videos
Geng may now be the best-known among them – a new kind of social media star whose calling card is his quirkiness.
Standing in his workshop in this tiny village outside Beijing, Geng shows off his inventions. There’s the meat cleaver turned hair comb. And there’s a tennis racket-size watermelon-slicer.
There’s the earthquake-proof noodle bowl that swings in its stand to allow the eater to continue slurping through seismic waves. There are the slippers made from metal nuts.
But Geng is most proud of his hammer bag. It’s a hollow steel mallet with a compartment that slides out of the head. Perfect, he says, for storing your phone, keys and wallet. It has a strap so it can hang over the wearer’s shoulder.
“It’s very fashionable,” he said, with apparent seriousness, modeling his creation. “And if someone tries to steal your bag, you can just throw it at them.”
But Geng, who grew up making things in his family’s pump factory, is a special kind of Chinese entrepreneur. He does not make money from his inventions.
Well, not directly.
Geng Shuai cuts a piece of stainless steel to craft a cellphone case.
He makes a living through inadvertently hilarious videos – filmed with the Chinese beauty filters that make everyone look like an airbrushed star – in which he shows how he makes his inventions and then hams it up for the camera as he demonstrates how to use them.
With smoldering eyes, he combs his messy hair with the meat cleaver. He falls out of the slippers while trying to walk down a country road in them. And he presents a motorbike with a seat that lifts up to reveal a squat toilet. Just turn the throttle to flush. (Luckily the video cuts out before Geng unzips his fly.)
He now has almost 2 million followers on the video site Kwai, and they give him mobile phone “tips” for his performances – the internet equivalent of a busker getting cash dropped in a hat. His biggest tippers get their names on plaques on the wall in his workshop, which is often the set for his videos. The bigger the tip, the bigger the plaque.
Geng tries to come up with a new invention every week and to make videos two or three times a week. He makes about $150 every time he does a live-streamed broadcast – decent money in a town where five people can have a lavish lunch for a total of $25. He makes enough to support his family – he and his wife have two children – and his brother, who shoots the videos.
Cellphone cases designed to look like meat cleavers are Geng Shuai’s hottest product.
“Most people think I’m an entertainer, but I think of myself as an inventor,” he said, naming as his hero the eccentric Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla.
Geng attributes his fame to China’s rapid industrialization, which has seen millions of people migrate from rural regions to small apartments in the big cities, where they work long days.
“Chinese people love inventions and inventing stuff, but because of economic development, most people don’t have the time to do it,” he said. “That’s why I am popular – they watch me making things because they can’t make things themselves.”
It’s a similar phenomenon to the “live eating” videos that started in South Korea and are now popular in China. Internet stars eat in front of the camera, often so viewers can eat with them and not feel alone.
Once, a fan who was living particularly vicariously through Geng’s videos sent him $720. Which is lucky, because he wouldn’t make much if he had to rely on sales.
When he first quit “boring” construction work to follow his passion, he started making slingshots out of metal nuts soldered together. He offered them for sale on WeChat, the ubiquitous Chinese social media app, for about $10. He sold two or three.
No one wanted his water pipe that supposedly filtered toxins out of cigarettes. But the metal nut cannon, which shoots rubber bands, has been one of his bestsellers. He’s sold four.
Geng’s most popular product is the meat cleaver smartphone case, which he makes to order depending on the customer’s phone. He walks around with a meat cleaver handle sticking out of his own pocket, which he grabs to whip out his phone as needed. So practical. He’s sold 10.
But it’s the videos that have catapulted him to success.
“People might not want to buy my inventions, but they like watching my videos, so they support me by tipping,” he said.
His family didn’t quite share his passion. Geng’s wife, Ji Xiangying, was initially against his decision to throw in his steady job for a fickle life of Internet renown.
“But I came to accept it after seeing how many people like his inventions,” she said, holding their baby, the younger of their two children, on her hip.
And when Geng told his grandma that he had garnered more than 1 million fans online, she asked how he could possibly eat that much. The phrase in Chinese sounds a lot like “one million bowls of rice noodles.”
Now, his fans are encouraging him to push the boundaries. Some threaten to stop following him if he dares make anything that is actually practical.
“I realized that my small inventions can’t satisfy you anymore, so I spent a lot of money to buy this motorcycle,” Geng said into the camera in one of his recent videos. “This time, I’m going to make something really useful.”
Cut to the next shot and there’s Geng with a wheelbarrow with half a motorbike on the back. A motorbarrow. He proceeds to tear around a warehouse with it, barely able to control the contraption which, fortunately, is empty for the filming.
For Geng, the lack of sales is neither here nor there. It’s the online celebrity that is motivating him. After all, before it was only his family and friends who laughed at his inventions. Now he’s got almost 2 million people laughing at him.

Rank & Furious 6
Howdy everybody. We’ve got quite possibly the most heartfelt, thought out, and artistic content for you this week. Dylan wrote a ton, and for me to have written anymore would have left us with far too much reading to do this week. Instead, I’ll pop in/piggyback wherever I feel necessary with this italicized text. For those who don’t know, around these parts we have some big Fast and Furious fans. If you haven’t seen the movies, fix that. But also if you haven’t seen them, you may find yourself scratching your head at this week’s rankings. That’s ok, just know they are content. I’ll do my best to provide a normie version of content for you people. If you have seen the movies, please enjoy a Fast and Furiousified version of the Week 6 Power Rankings. ___________________________________________________ For those who haven't heard, Tyrese, The Rock, and Jason Statham have been involved in a squabble that should have broken my heart. But then I realized I was happy that the series had fallen apart. My apathy for the situation confused me, and I decided to examine why this was the case. Maybe Bowers was right, and I was really just a feudster at heart and liked seeing the feud. But I would never have wanted to hear about Paul Walker and Sung Kang feuding, so it couldn’t be that. Maybe I’ve just gotten tired of the Rock, with his bad movies and bad politics. But no, because honestly, I’m still excited when I watch him in Fast Five. Then it hit me. I’m just happy because really, the series is already over. Fate of the Furious started a new series of movies (one that frankly doesn’t seem to be very good). And with the problems the previously tightknit cast now appears to be having, it just makes it easier to move on. With that being said, these power rankings are in honor of the greatest movie franchise of all time, now fracturing in front of the world. Think of them like one of those Buzzfeed quizzes where you see which character you are, but instead, it’s about your teams, and we just give you the answer. Fate of the Furious will be included, because it’s the only way for me to convey how bad some of our lower ranked teams are. Contains spoilers for all 8 movies. Keep fighting the good fight Tyrese! 5 > 1 = 7 > 6 > 3 > 4 > 2.*
*Editor’s note - this is a god damn lie. Ranking 2 Fast 2 Furious below Tokyo Drift is actually a war crime, and you should be tried/hung for your crimes. Except Dylan is already hung, if you know what I’m sayin ;) ;) 8==D But seriously, Tokyo Drift is horrible. It’s the worst Fast and Furious movie. It might be a fine movie on in a vacuum, but it carries the Fast and Furious title, and it’s a horrible Fast and Furious movie. Except for the Teriyaki Boyz (work warning: that link plays some dank music). That’s some good shit.
Honorable Mentions
Matt Barry – The FBI agent in 2 Fast 2 Furious played by Dexter’s dad from Dexter
JTG – The black FBI agent in in The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious
Smoochie – Johnny Tran, looking for fights over slights both real and perceived
Danny – Dom, if he was obsessed with jury duty, spoiled movies, and was never broken out of prison after Fast and Furious (note: This is my bad excuse for not calling anyone Dom because I couldn’t pick anyone)**
**Even with the ridiculous qualifiers/modifications/whatever you wanna call them, this is literally the hottest take I have ever read in my life.
Tom – Vince (I 100% stand by this and will not be convinced otherwise)
Nobody – Tej, which just shows how ridiculous he is. He goes from pretty good mechanic who organizes races to elite hacker who can also create incredible gadgets out of nowhere with 0 training. It’s so ridiculous that I can’t even compare it to anyone in the league.
The Fucking Losers (managed by Everett Sobel)
Fast and Furious Character – Leon
Most people forget Leon exists. But he was part of the original crew. Dom’s crew in the first movie wasn’t just Dom, Vince, Letty, and Jesse; Leon was out there with them, robbing trucks and presumably doing other stuff while not robbing trucks. What happened to him? Who knows. He probably got arrested after the whole thing happened, or is in hiding. But wherever Leon is, and wherever Everett is, I hope he’s happy and I miss him. It’s been a long league without you my friend.***
***Dylan says “wherever Everett is” but we know where Everett is, he’s inside all of our hearts.
12. The Memes of Production (1-4, last week #11)
Fast and Furious Character – Deckard Shaw
When I first saw Jason Statham in mid-credits scene in Fast & Furious 6, I wasn’t happy. The 6th movie was already a bit underwhelming coming on the heels of Fast Five, and when I saw him, I thought he was just going to ruin the franchise. Then Furious 7 came out, and it was terrific. In my opinion, it was either the 2nd or 3rd best movie in the series. Then, Fate of the Furious came out, and he was part of the reason that it wasn’t good. And now the spinoff with The Rock is happening, and it’s confirmed, he did ruin the series.
Andy’s team looked terrible in Week 1, the worst in the league. Then they looked terrific in week 2, and I thought they could move up towards the top 4. Ever since, they’ve looked terrible again, and it looks like my initial thought there was unfortunately the right one.
If I don’t type text here, there will be a weird gap between Andy and Arielle, so just ignore this. There’s already probably a weird gap between this text and Andy’s gif. Tumblr is a pain in the ass.
11. Team Calm Down Will (2-3, last week 10)
Fast and Furious Character – Elena
Elena is awesome, but she just can’t catch a break. When she was a bit younger, she was married to a police officer who got killed in the line of duty (David Johnson). She tries to arrest Dom and his crew, but instead, falls in love with him, and all is well. Nothing can ruin her happiness… except for Dom’s ex-wife still being alive, Dom leaving to be with her, and all this while she’s apparently pregnant (RIP Greg Olsen in a 53.5 point Week 2). Things start looking up again, as Hobbs gives her a recommendation for a promotion and she gets used to being a single mom, but ultimately, just because she is associated with the wrong people (looking at you Blake Bortles), she meets a shocking, horrifying end.
Sorry Arielle, I really wanted to make a better gif for you. Your team is abysmal so the least I could’ve done was given you the joy of a cool gif. Unfortunately, Elena doesn’t have many good gifs online, so you’ll have to settle for this
10. Freaky Frogadier (1-4, last week #9)
Fast and Furious Character – Jesse
This team just tries to do too much. Swapping picks before the draft, then the first trade, then the second trade, then the third trade, and now rumor has it they’re looking for a 4th trade? They’re going a mile a minute, and their GM should probably be going to MIT or something, but they seem to have ADD. This week, with another loss and with Ben Roethlisberger admitting he can’t play anymore, they pretty much just got shot on their lawn by two guys in motorcycles. At least they’ll get to see Everett’s team in heaven.
Dylan I know you meant Fast and Furious Jesse, but you picked a character from an era before gifs even existed, so instead you have your face on top of Aaron Paul test driving a car. Jesse Pinkman, Need for Speed, close enough. Next time pick a better character for yourself and you’ll get a good gif
9. Chicken Winnigish (2-3, last week #7)
Fast and Furious Character – Sean Boswell
Team Evan has had a bunch of issues with injuries and lineups, but to be honest, most of them are self-inflected. He decided that he had to find Geoffrey, and because he focused on that instead of making a good team, he got kicked out of high school and sent to Tokyo. Things were looking a bit better when he won last week, but what was he left with? A not great looking girlfriend who is cool with dating people in the Yakuza, nowhere to live because he was kicked out of the house (FORESHADOWING???), and his friend still dead. The rest of this season will be like the rest of movies 4-8 were for Sean; maybe a small appearance in the win column, but mostly just nothing.
Before the haters come in and criticize my autistic artistic decision to make Evan Twinkie and not actually Sean Boswell, take a moment and just enjoy looking at Evan in that outfit. You’re welcome.
8. Caddyshack Name Incoming (1-4, last week #12)
Fast and Furious Character – Cipher
You hear that Charlize Theron is going to be in the new fast movie, and you think damn, she’s good looking and a great actor, she’s going to be great. Then you see the hair and… holy shit it’s terrible. And then her first couple of scenes are just god awful. Then she does have that scene where she kills Elena****, and it’s so ridiculous that you almost kind of think she’s an interesting character in an it’s so bad it’s good kind of way? This team’s Week 5 performance was that scene, as they won not because of Zeke, Evans, and Murray, but instead largely thanks to the Bengals D, Torrey Smith, and Justin Tucker. We’ll see if they go back to cratering like she did or if they can actually keep up the performance. Jason Witten at Flex might be their dreads.
****WOOOOOOOOOOOW, SOME OF US (me) HAVEN’T SEEN FAST8 YET. This guy out here going full Danny. Next you’re gonna tell us Laura Kinney is Logan’s daughter, and that they cloned his DNA. You’re a monster, Dylan.
7. Confused Pandas (2-3, last week #7)
Fast and Furious Character – Gisele
Ok, the two women in the league both being female (ha, female, that’s funny) characters is not a great look. But it’s not my fault that they like to have their female characters get killed and both teams died with injuries to their 1st round picks. I started off not particularly liking this team and even saying it was mediocre, which I think is a fair way to describe Gisele in Fast and Furious. But then, Gisele throws up a 130.5 point performance in week 2, establishing herself as an awesome member of the team who you want to see succeed. And then, on the 2387 mile runway that is the Giants season, Gisele and Odell (IT EVEN RHYMES) both died, and people were too busy talking about other things (JJ Watt, the Giants 0-5 record, Dom surviving and walking through fire, where the fuck that runway even is) to really appreciate them like they should. This team is number 7, but also number 1.
Pew pew, bang bang, skeet skeet.
6. Phil Awoke My Sexuality (2-3, last week #4)
Fast and Furious Character - Han
And now the Asian is Han? Get your shit together Dylan. Han doesn’t have a great start in Tokyo Drift, considering he dies. But at least he’s intriguing. And then in Fast Five, you realize he’s really awesome. And then in Fast 6, he’s even awesomer. He might be my 4th favorite character (probably actually 5th, but you can talk me into it). Same with this team, which started off 0-2 with an impressive record and then had 2 big victories. But was this week the equivalent of Han mid-credits after Fast 6? This team had a chance for a big win against their division rival and lost. They have 2 QB’s, but if you have 2 QB’s you don’t really have one. I still really like this team, and I don’t think they’re dead, but they’ll need to figure something out to avoid Han’s fate.
Harnsowl I don’t need to explain this one for you, but I will happily testify as a witness if you want to prosecute Dylan for the racial profiling.
5. The Mayor of California (4-1, last week #6)
Fast and Furious Character – Hobbs
The good news: The Rock is the perfect non-leading guy for these movies. Brian and Dom do the emotional heavy lifting, Dom is usually battling the main guy, that leaves Rock “The Dwayne” Johnson to look really, really muscly, beat people up, and say thing varying from cool to corny while beating people up.
The bad news: He’s too good in this role for it to have continued forever, and Paul Walker dying significantly hastened the inevitable. He wasn’t good enough to be the de facto team leader in Fate of the Furious (it should have been Letty), and he won’t be good enough to have a spinoff.
This team is good. They’re 4-1, they’ve had some quality wins, and they have a decent amount of talent across the board.
Jason I don’t know if you’ve seen these movies, and it’s kind of hard to tell from this gif, but in case you haven’t seen it allow me to explain. In this scene, The Rock is literally flexing out of a cast. I figured it was appropriate, especially when you consider Davante Adams’ recovery.
4. Walsh Me Nae Nae (3-2, last week #8)
Fast and Furious Character – Mr. Nobody
Walsh’s presence looms over the league even though we almost never see him. He was #2 in the league last year, and he looks good this year too. Nobody has jumped around more in my rankings, and we don’t really know anything about Mr. Nobody. And still, you feel like there’s something more to this team, and to Walsh. Whenever he says anything, people go nuts, and he just always seems to be around, influencing things more than we could even realize.
Walsh, there’s a solid chance this gif won’t load. I’ve already tried 3 or 4 times to make it work. It’s a 5.7 MB gif, which is beyond massive. If not, I’ll post it in the group. It’s way too many frames, and there’s a lot going on, just know I put some work into this one for you.
3. Watch Me Not TV (4-1)
Fast and Furious Character – Roman Pierce
First, let me say that teams 1-3 could realistically be in any order. Will is undefeated, Phil is the top scorer, and Nico is between the two in both. As for Nico, sure, there have been some questionable moments. He’s started Buck Allen a couple of times, he’s started multiple negative defenses, and there was the whole “Ejecto Dezzo Cuz” incident where he tried to trade Dez Bryant for one of those parallelepiped pink pencil erasers and the bottom part of a muffin. That and the fact that he’s one of our quieter chat members have made him fall under the radar a bit. But make no mistake, this team is a powerhouse that should not be underestimated. Kareem Hunt in the 5th was the best pick in the draft, Duke Johnson Jr is looking good again, and somehow, they just put up incredible performance after incredible performance. You don’t even realize they’re always winning and always coming out ahead, until they’re laughing at you and driving away your shit after you underestimated them. They ain’t hungry no more either.
If you enjoyed your gif this week, thank Dylan and Nico. The second Dylan told me he was giving Nico Roman, I had to make the gif. And then I couldn’t just give Nico a gif and nobody else, so the gifs were born.
2. Primo Content (3-2)
Fast and Furious Character – DK
This team should dominate. But it’s not the first time we’ve thought that about Phil’s team. It looked like he was going to start running away with things in week 3, but he opened his mouth too soon, and then his team ended up losing. He looked like a lock for the playoffs last year, but again, he couldn’t shut then he ended up losing. Karma just kept coming back to kill him after premature bragging. There’s no way DK should lose to Sean, but then it happens. Is this the time that Phil finally gets past this and finds a way not to lose money on this league? Or will karma send him careening down a cliff while he loses to some random hick whose only living friend is named Twinkie? Only time will tell.
I wanted to give him Dom because Dom has become the worst character in the movies and screeches "family” like Phil screeches “content”. I made the gif before Dylan told me DK, but that’s ok. DK sucks, Tokyo Drift sucks, this is an appropriate character for Phil.
1. Blastoise Brigade (5-0)
Fast and Furious Character - Brian
This one’s a no brainer. As the undefeated team, they’re the heart and soul of this league. And they appeared ready to dominate it all year. And then, bam, out of nowhere, Dalvin Cook went off to raise his second kid and couldn’t be called back in even when his brother in law, the uncle and probably godfather to his children, became arguably the most wanted man in the world. I still have this team #1, but I don’t know how long that will last, as the early returns on Diggs without him are not promising. Good bye Dalvin. I’m watching this Monday Night Football game, and it’s going to be a long day without you my friend.
So why is this team ranked #1? Because like Brian, they understand Dom’s lesson. Ask any fantasy football player. Any real fantasy football player. It don’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning’s winning.
Whoops, this gif is super fast. It’s called the Fast and Furious, and I’m furious this gif is so fast. Well, I’ve already closed Photoshop and don’t feel like remaking it, oh well. RIP Paul Walker Dalvin Cook.
The League of Shadows (Season 2, last year Season 1)
Fast and Furious Character: Letty
We started with the League of Light, which was so far separated from its successors that it really is essentially a different league. Then we thought that the League was dead. It was even confirmed to be dead by Danny. But then, it came back, without its memory and basically as a new character. But then, oh no, it appeared to be a bad guy who is a bully and has always been a bully.; But then, it remembered who it was, and it’s back again! And now, even though football is awful, and even though fantasy football is awful, the League of Shadows still lives on being downright tolerable when everything around it is miserable, just like Letty.
