You mentioned you wanted to change the names of Bluefur, Graystripe, Oakheart, and Longtail in your last ask. What would you have changed the names to? Are there any others you did not change but wanted to?
Other names I wanted to change but didn't - Fireheart, Mousefur, Frostfur, Yellowfang, Poolcloud, Crookedstar, and Deadfoot. I'll cover the reasons behind each below the cut!
Fireheart and Graystripe - these two for pretty much the same reason - in canon, it feels really disrespectful to me that Lionheart mentors Graystripe, but Fireheart is the one to receive his suffix right after Lionheart dies. Also, Graystripe shares a name with the half brother he hates, which feels like salt in the wound. I ended up not changing these because they're too iconic, because Lionheart doesn't die (so it doesn't feel as disrespectful), and Darkstripe isn't related to Graystripe. If I had changed their names, Graystripe would have become Grayheart, and Fireheart would have been something like Firelight!
Mousefur and Frostfur - These two both have pretty boring names compared to the likes of Mistspring and Whitestorm. While writing Frostfur, however, I came up with her nickname (Frostfury) that made me like her name a lot more - and Mousefur herself is iconic enough that she doesn't really need a name change, and her name being lackluster also ended up being part of her story (which may or may not come up in the future chapters!). Frostfur would have been changed to something like Frostbite, reflecting her aggressive tendencies, and Mousefur would have been something like Mousespring or Mouseleap, to reflect her being a good hunter.
Oakheart - I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but Oakheart is a type of rum. It feels intentional given Whiteclaw was also right there, but I don't tend to attribute anything to the writers unless they specifically say it. Ultimately, he was one of those that was too iconic to change, and whose name fit well enough that I couldn't think of a better one for him. Given I ended up changing Whiteclaw, I think it's easier to pretend he's not named after an alcohol in my story! If I changed his name, it'd be to something like Oakblaze, to reflect his fiery nature.
Crookedstar and Deadfoot - I thought about changing Crookedstar's name to Stormstar, basically rewriting the entirety of Crookedstar's Promise - same with Deadfoot, changing him to either Hopfoot or Hopstep. This was part of my larger push to get rid of the series' unnecessary ableism while rewriting it. I ended up keeping them because I realized that their stories really aren't unnecessarily ableist - certainly, Rainflower and her reason for changing Stormkit's name were (and the entire Clan for going along with it), and so was Heatherstar for naming him Deadpaw out of nowhere. However, they both obtained earned positions of power and were by all accounts well-accepted members of their society - unlike Cinderpelt, for example, who was forced to become a medicine cat because she could never, ever be a warrior, apparently.
I ultimately kept their names the same not just for recognizablilty, but also because in my canon, these names weren't forced on them by Rainflower and Heatherstar, respectively - again, part of my push to change the ableist narratives. In my canon, names reflecting injuries/disabilities are a badge of honor - a reflection of 'I went through this life-altering event that permanently changed me and survived, so suck it, life/fate/Starclan'. Crookedstar and Deadfoot both asked to have their names changed when they were named warriors. This is also true for Halftail and One-eye in Thunderclan, who had their names changed when they became elders. There are still cats who choose not to change their names when faced with a life-altering event (such as Brightheart and Briarlight, if they kept the same injuries), and these names are not forced on them.
(The exception to this rule is Brokentail's reign, where he pressured his elite warriors to have their names changed to 'scary' ones to be more fearsome - this is where Stumpytail, Clawface, and Ratscar come from.)
Yellowfang - Again, this is one of those like Greenflower/Cloverflower, where she's either named after her eye color or named with the specific intention of giving her the name Yellowfang that will fit when she's an elder. I ended up keeping her name because, again, iconic, but I also changed her backstory significantly to make her name make sense. As already mentioned in Forest of Secrets, she wasn't born Yellowkit - she gave up her Starclan-given name after giving birth to Brokenkit and breaking the code, and Raggedstar gave her the name Yellowfang. Her original name will be revealed in the course of the story, so I'll wait to share what I 'would' have changed it to :)
Bluefur - I wanted to change her name to Blueflower, after her mother, given I changed her sister Snowstorm's name to be after her father Stormtail (and to fit with Whitestorm, who was subsequently named after her). I only decided not to because Bluefur, at the time, wasn't considered a motherly character, which is what the -flower suffix is commonly associated with. We'll get into that more later in Forest of Secrets!
Poolcloud - I'm not fond of the Pool- prefix, I think it just sounds clumsy. I would have changed her name to Cloudpool. I ended up not changing it because I'd changed every other elder by that point, and Poolcloud isn't a bad name anyways - I just have to get used to it.
Longtail - As I mentioned in the last ask, there were six different -tail suffixes in Thunderclan in Into the Wild! Redtail, Rosetail, Halftail, Longtail, Dappletail, and Speckletail. Redtail, Rosetail, and Halftail all have names that describe their tails but not the rest of them - Redtail and Rosetail having red tails, while Halftail literally has a Halftail (and, as mentioned earlier, had his name changed to that when he became an elder). Dappletail and Speckletail were renamed because their names don't just describe their tails but all of them.
Longtail fell into that weird gray area, because his tail IS long - but so is the rest of him. However, when it came to renaming him, I couldn't really find one that accurately fit him - not to mention that like his sister Mousefur, he is already a somewhat iconic character, so if I changed his name it would have to be something really good and clever to justify that. I never found one, so his name was never changed.
I also realized after I started writing that, as Redtail's apprentice, Longtail probably was given the -tail suffix from him - otherwise he might have been named something like Longstep or Longstrike! If he had no name to begin with, like Dewshine (sort of) did, then I might have gone with something like Houndfang for him.
I hope that gives some insight into my reasoning, Anon! Thank you for the ask - I love answering random little questions like these, because I have SO much worldbuilding that will probably never be mentioned in the series!

I’m determined to draw all of ThunderClan before Christmas!!! So these are Spiderfang and Mousepaw/leap. They are the medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice respectively.
When Spiderfang was Spiderpaw he was a warrior apprentice that wasn’t good at either hunting or fighting. He was on friendly terms with the medicine cat at the time, Longfang, and often stopped by to make small chat. Unfortunately Longfang was taken away by twolegs which left Thunderclan without a medicine cat, as Longfang didn’t have any apprentices. His mentor and leader constantly pressured him to become a medicine cat as he was the only one that had the tiniest bit of knowledge of herbs. For long he refused as he really wanted to be a warrior, but soon the pressure from his clanmates made him give in and he became a medicine cat without any proper training. He inherited Longfang’s suffix which only put more weight on his shoulders. His complete inexperience with herbs led to a few deaths which made him feel guilty and unworthy. Spiderfang would spend all the free time he had trying to figure out which herbs do which helped by his clanmates which knew as little as him about medicine. These accidental deaths became so frequent that the leader forced him to go to RiverClan and get mentored by their medicine cat. This made Spiderfang feel even worse and the entirety of ThunderClan was mocked by the other clans for having an useless medicine cat. After this period of mentoring Spiderfang was ready to go back to ThunderClan having learned all he needed to be a functioning medicine cat. In his time in RiverClan he developed a mild addiction to poppy seeds which he used to try and stay awake as long as possible to sort herbs and review their use to try and impress his mentor. He brought this habit with him in ThunderClan. Personality wise he’s a straightfoward, snappy and always agitated because of how little he sleeps. Despite the training he did in RiverClan, he still isn’t a perfect medicine cat and still messes up from time to time. Due to the fact the doesn’t sleep much, he rarely gets prophetic dreams, if at all.
Mousepaw on the other hand had always wanted to be a medicine cat. Ever since she was a small kit she hated fighting and confrontation which made her more interested in taking the role of the healer. She often speaks in a submissive, mild manner. She doesn’t like loud noises and really likes the calm atmosphere of the medicine den. Her relationship with Spiderfang is kind of weird, as despite him being way older than her and supposed to be her mentor she is actually better than him at being a medicine cat. This makes him frustrated but at the same time sort of fascinated by the raw talent of this small she-cat. Mousepaw isn’t very brave and never defies authority unless forced to. She respects the warrior code not because she believes in it, but because she’s scared of the judgement of cats higher on the hierarchy than her. This submissive and unconfrontational attitude is subject of derision from the other apprentices that often call her “mouseheart”. As anyone would expect, she never responds to these mockeries.

Love your warrior rewrite! Inspires me to rewrite my own😊 may I ask for the Leap suffix?
🥺 I’m so glad to hear that, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!! ^^
•─────⋅ᓚᘏᗢ⋅─────•
Suffix: -leap
Basic Meanings:
The suffix "-leap" represents a cat who is long-legged, energetic, skittish, a skilled hunter, or a good jumper.
(A personality and skill suffix; can also be a physical suffix.)
Reasoning:
As an analog of travel, jumping (and in turn, leaping) is a clear indication of a desire of movement in any and every manner, and a notable way of both moving and hunting! Leaping is also synonymous with bountiful energy, as it’s a mostly unnecessary act should one not be actively full of energy or needing to escape a situation as quickly as possible.
Coincidental Traits:
Cats with this suffix tend to be long-legged, with the “leap" suffix being entirely dependent on the skills/traits of being energetic or skittish; if a cat isn't such, then this suffix can't be awarded.
Notes:
Mousefur’s rename was almost Mouseleap, as opposed to Mousesnap!
See Also:
-flight
-fall
-jump
-bounce
-hop
-foot

Names for brown cats?
i'm gonna assume that you're asking for warrior names here. either that or you're incredibly lost lmao.
it's hard to pick a good name for you without knowing the character's personality, but i'll do my best! since my only info here is "brown fur", i'm just gonna come up with a bunch of prefixes that make me think of the colour brown.
here goes nothing!
acorn / pine / oak / spruce / sycamore / twig
moss (for some reason i always picture brown cats for the moss- prefix)
thrush / sparrow / talon / wren
dust / dusty
beaver
bracken / bramble / thorn
mouse / shrew
mud / muddy
tawny
usually for suffixes i'd consider the cat's personality, but since i don't have that, i'm gonna look at more common / less personal ones.
nose / whisker / belly / fur / pelt / fang / claw / heart / foot / pad / mask / patch / spot(s) / stripe are all some good general ones that can fit just about any prefix.
flight / wing / chirp / flutter are good for specifically bird-focused prefixes.
leaf / stem / berry / thorn / patch are good for plant-focused prefixes
leap / watcher / chaser are good for animal prefixes in general
tl;dr: name suggestions;
oakleaf
pinemask
mosswhisker
sparrowflutter
wrenchirp
dustspots
dustynose
beaverfang
bramblethorn
thornpatch
mouseleap
shrewwatcher
mudbelly
muddyfur
tawnyclaw
hope this helped!! ^-^

Love how they kept talking about how large mousewhisker is though. With that and his scene in squirrelflights hope he’s an absolute himbo
I for one embrace huge Mousewhisker lol
I can imagine Firestar thinking out warrior names for this guy when he’s a kit like Mousestep or Mouseleap and then the dude just doesn’t stop growing so he’s like “ah, time for a rethink”

just got my warrior name, honestly really disappointed, I mean mousetail? ugh it’s so predictable. there’s so many other options! mouseleap, mouseblaze, or mousefang but for some reason gorsestar chose mousetail? I swear it’s like he came up with it on the spot.
on the bright side though I managed to get this twoleg phone thing working. I’m keeping it hidden underneath my bed, but I had to be really careful when moving it into the warriors den. I turned on the “asks” option, don’t know what that means though.
the gathering’s tonight, not really looking forward to that. I hope deerpaw’s still sick and doesn’t go, I really don’t want to talk to that foxheart. she thinks she’s so cool just because her dad’s the leader of thunderclan! it’s not like that means anything though, she’s a windclan cat! ugh she’s probably gotten her warrior name too. if deerpaw gets named something cool I’ll be so mad.

Squirrelshadow(m) Newtswipe(f) Mouseleap(m) Yellowblaze(elder/m) Jaggedwave(queen) Tangleroot(elder/m) Badgergaze(f/elder) Thundercloud(f) Chirpsong(m) Snowdapple(f) Sorrelflake (elder/f) I've enjoyed your ratings and what you have to say about ocs so heres a few more thank you
Squirrelshadow- An intelligent and introverted tom. Squirrelshadow tends to speak in actions rather than words, whether it be using body language or doing a task to prove a point. He’s always eager to prove himself to be a capable warrior, despite not speaking very much, 14/10
Newtstripe - A skilled and intelligent she-cat. Newtstripe is considered the best hunter in the clan. She has a skill of being able to completely hide herself in her surroundings, so her prey never sees her coming, 13/10
Mouseleap - A cheerful and energetic tom. Mouseleap is always ready to offer his assistance, no matter what the task, he will even help out apprentices sometimes. He’s very popular in his clan because of this, 15/10
Yellowblaze- A proud and wise tom. Yellowblaze can be curt sometimes, but that’s mainly because he’s fustrated at being confined to the elders den by his loss of mobility. When he was younger he was a fine and respected warrior with a tendency for natural leadership, many cats thought he would be leader one day, 15/10
Jaggedwave - A brave and caring she-cat. Before coming to the nursery, Jaggedwave was a brave and somewhat reckless warrior, but since having kits she’s become far less reckless, although the bravery is still very much there. Jaggedwave would happily defend kits to the death, but any cat who knows her also knows killing her is no easy task, anyone who attacks the nursery now she’s there is either a mousebrain or has a death wish, 15/10
Tangleroot - A cheerful and good humoured tom. Tangleroot loves his food, he’s always the first to the freshl kill pile, but when times are hard he will happily give up food for the kits first, and sometimes even get out to hunt to provide extra, much to the medicines cat’s protests and attempts to get him back in his den, 14/10
Badgergaze - A wise and gentle she-cat. Badgergaze can silence a cat with a single look, but she only does this when needed. She’s seen enough of life to know a few things that can help cats out and her clanmates will often seek her opinion on matters, 14/10
Thundercloud - A bold and daring she cat. Thundercloud will happily undertake the most dangerous of missions for the sake of her clan. She’s an amazing fighter with few cats ever beating her in compact, 15/10
Chirpsong- A cheerful and optimistic tom. Chirpsong always approaches things with a purr in his throat and a spring in his step. Chirpsong sees the best in everything and will always strive to ensure peace between the clans, 15/10
Snowdapple - A calm and gentle she-cat. Snowdapple will often volunteer to take watch as it gives her time to think and reflect on things. When she notices a clanmate feeling down she will always gentle try and find out what’s wrong, and offer her help if they want it, 13/10
Sorrelflake - A kind and caring she-cat. She’s considered the clan’s grandma, she’s extremely popular amongst the kits, apprentices and even younger warriors due to the kindness she shows them from a young age. She has the best stories and will always give young cats a bit of harmless mischievous advice to help them have a little fun, 14/10

I love your blog! As does my OC Mouseleap! She’s a brown and white kitty pet, who joined WindClan, got half her tail chomped off and is part of a prophecy. She’s very level headed and takes no shit from her clan mates, eventually becoming deputy and mates with a She-cat from RiverClan.
ahhh thank you!
and she’s a good mouseleap is such a cute name
