It's not really an ask, more a statement: your Good Omens fanfictions have managed to completely derail my Saturday. They're so charming and adorable and cosy, I have spent the majority of the day under a blanket on the sofa reading. They also speak to my soul, also being Ace, it's so beautiful to read stories without having to skip through massive sections that gratuitously describe sex. That's all. Thank you.

Aww, thank you for this statement! I mean, theoretically you had something else planned on that Saturday (this message has been waiting in my inbox for a week and a half), but I feel like as alternatives go, "lying under a blankie on the sofa reading" is a pretty good one. I might be inclined to do it myself if my house contained a sofa.

Also, fun fact, those wishing to shove All The Asexual Content into their eyeballs may wish to peruse the works of AO3 users hope_in_the_dark and IneffableDoll. There's a bunch of people with a bunch of wonderful ace Ineffable Walnuts stories, but I'm pretty sure Hope and Doll are both with me on the "only writing that forever" bandwagon, meaning a 100% match with Ah Yes This Is The Thing I Was Looking For.

//Future me here, who just finished writing all that out, warning for a LONG LONG paragraph of everything. As in it's like 6k+ words (I DIDNT USE A WORD COUNTER SO YEAH THATS PRACTICALLY A GUESS-)

Of course! To explain, there are two series-es

One being, An Universal Animatronic Revolution (AUAR), aka where Mixie is from alongside Axel.

The second one being, Lifetales (LT, THE NAME IS BEING WORKED ON SHHHSHSHSHSH), which is where Platinum and the rest of the Triple HHH Court come from.

Now to note, these two are actually apart of the same multiverse. AUAR and LT are basically groups for my OCs, not like "Oh this one is fantasy and this one goes to cyberpunk" no it's more like how they'd work in these two worlds.

LifeTales takes place in a historical-fiction type world where it's it own world, while also bringing in IRL concepts (ex: religions, irl nationalities, etc). But it's mainly explored in the present timeline considering the time before it wasn't, yknow, it didnt have all that yet

Basically the world first started as it's own. Instead of the current continents, it has five continents based on the five "Entities" being the Triple H Court. Note that I am not referring to the current generation of the same court, but rather a different court.

Now it's important to mention that the multiverse of LifeTales only consists of 6 universes.

The first one, being the main universe, aka where Selene and Golian originated before they died and reincarnated as Platinum and Gold, where the five continents are

The rest, well, they take place in other eras in time. Take the universe where Ruby, but otherwise known as Cathmore before he reincarnated into Ruby, had lived in. It was basically the 1930s.

Now I havent expanded on the 4 other universes yet. But it'll most likely not exist in the future considering they're just placeholders for how I'll world build the places the entities lived in before they were entities.

But as for AUAR? Basically it's a multiverse, it's main genre being Science-fiction. A big one, that's publically explored. The universe Mixie comes from, she's basically from the real world, the current timeline of the universe in the story being between 2010-2013. While the universe she stumbles into, Retro Way's timeline is 2019-2022

Retro Way is also the center of this multiverse, being a universe of it's own with the mix of people from all sorts of universes yes but while also being a sort of HQ for all experienced multiversal travellers (Except Doctor Strange, sorry MCU fans the MCU in this multiverse is still known as media)

Now to note, in Mixie's universe, Multiversal Travel isn't much known. In a way where she and the people she's with havent exactly been to the places where the "portals" and all the multiversal travel stuff is at.

And another thing to note, Retro Way still has it's residents aka theres still people from there. And yes nationalities still exist, if your born in Retro Way and had parents with Dutch origins, your nationality would be Dutch.

Now as much as I'd love to like SPILL all the story of AUAR and LifeTales, I wouldn't want to spill it too soon considering, well this:

AUAR is one generation of 10 generations (technically 11 adding in the prequel for it, Everyday Engineering aka EE), specifically theres 12 seasons in AUAR, adding two new seasons each generation. And within each season theres 12 episodes, which to my calculations since the last time I updated the planout doc of that, was enough to supply 2-6 plots.

Now I already have an idea of 3/10 generations but I havent like, written all chapters/episodes down aka I havent translated every single daydream into a chapter yet.

On the otherhand

LifeTales has three "eras" or generations in a way. The first one being, well, the backstories. Mainly the backstories of Platinum and Gold, and other characters that'll appear in Era 3

The second Era is basically, the current timeline. How their life is going, what they're doing, the current timeline of that era, etc. (While also having a similar plot-planout to AUAR, aka their life isn't too casual, they still have their adventures and bits of character growth)

The third era, well, it's basically the current timeline but it actually moves on from the current plot. It expands on new plots and has more character growth than last Era, also expanding more into other characters' backstories than the first Era.

But alas, until these two stories/series are done, I cannot confirm it has solid conclusions YET

General Fun Facts:

Flowers are, naturally, immensely important to the Fealty. They’re utilized in almost every aspect of their lives; nests full of expectant dames or eggs are decorated with petals; new-blooms are (obviously) named after flowers to symbolize both their growth and fragility; flower symbolism is highly revered and always thought of; mates are often draped in veils of flowers and petals on their bonding day; on the day they receive their full names, sharpclaws wear the petals of their flower name to them shake off to symbolize their next step in life;

Magic exists… Sort of ;3 … It can be learned, it can be taught, but very rarely is it ever just a given talent.

Polydactylism is the most common within folk carrying Highpeak blood.

Gatherings are a time of sharing above all else. Trading of items occurs, news is swapped between mouths and paws, the Evergreens are updated on larger events, and the recipes for meals (as well as some meals, themselves!) are often presented to other Fealtyfolk. It’s a mixing pot of experiences.

An average outsider felfolk usually reaches about 4'5" (134.62 cm), while the average Fealtyfolk usually reaches 5°0" (152.4 cm). Haggardleg is currently 6'7" (200.66 cm), and the tallest felfolk in recorded Fealty "history" [read: one of their stories, it's up to y'all if it's true or not ;3] was 8'2" (248.92 cm).

The Highpeak’s territory features a number of stone forests, and hosts a single, dormant volcano.

The hollow in which the Tree of Lights grows (also known as “the Gathering Grounds”) is a sloping meadow absolutely covered in flowers. It’s bordered by several low, large trees, all flowering as well. Expectant folk and openhearts are known to climb up to lounge in the low-hanging branches during Gatherings, so they don’t get overwhelmed by the main crowds, chatting with one another to gossip, swap parenting tips, suggest new-bloom names, and offer advice to one another.

Character Fun Facts:

Shoebillbelly is the third largest folk within the Fealty. Lichenfang is second. Haggardleg is first.

Molefang is uncannily, almost scarily insightful - almost bordering straight up clairvoyance. She was almost made an Evergreen for it.

Lichenclaw was born beneath a meteor shower, specifically the Perseids. Meteor showers are rarely seen, especially within the Vale, due to the two layers of atmosphere, but that night, they were especially bright.

Spottednose loves to collect rocks and various other trinkets, most notably feathers and small animal bones, to hoard as well as decorate herself with. She’s almost considered “goth” by Fealtyfolk standards due to this, for her habits, her hobbies, and her fashion choices.

Goldentongue is the worst folk to fight- not because he’s skilled, or even necessarily good at it, but because she has no rules. He’s biting you. Kicking you in the stomach. Throwing sand in your eyes. The worst.

Mottletail and Spottednose have curled tails.

Castel has a fictitious autoimmune disorder that targets the amelanosis pigment in both the skin and fur, causing an imbalance that kills the pale coloring and replaces it with significantly darker pigments!

Laurel is immensely competitive and hellbent on constantly proving herself to be “the best”. The best of what? It doesn’t matter, she just has to be the best.

Robintoe is highly critical of others, especially those that don’t meet her personal standards or those she views as “not loyal enough”. She criticizes even her closest companions, tearing them down if she views them to be in the wrong, while fully approving strangers or even enemies if their case is reversed. Despite this, she doesn’t hold herself to these same standards, which often sparks murmurs of her being a hypocrite - which is true.

- So you take your two little feet and waddle down the streets of hell asking anyone and everyone if they want to work for Vox.

- Obviously everyone wants to work for the Vees, so you end up bringing like a hoard of people to the office and kinda just, bring them in.

- As I've mentioned, this man would not notice you being gone like, ever, so when you magically show tf up with like 70 people all in tow, he is partially impressed and partially confused.

- He asks you why you brought so many people and you just look up at him with your cute little baby doll eyes and go "I thought you needed someone to replace mr. dead guy".

- He honestly kinda appreciates it and gives you a little pat on the head as he kills kicks out everyone you brought.

Lucifer -

- This man pays copious amounts of attention to you so the fact you were able to waddle away to go collect people off the street is honestly astounding.

- He was like, super art blocked and could not come up with another idea for a duck, and it was starting to piss both of you off.

- So you do your little thing and walk off by yourself to collect another person to help come up with some sweet succulent duck ideas.

- Well turn out, creepy people exist in hell (surprise surprises).

- So a creepy ass guy follows you to the palace and when you get back Lucifer panics.

- He was worried you died or something and was about to go find you when you show up with a rando behind you.

- Lucifer politely scolds you for running off like that, but before you could introduce him to the guy you found to help, the guy left.

- So you give up and instead devote a lot of your time to making a new rubber duck

- Lucifer ends up making a duck that can track where you are incase you go wandering off again.

Hello, hi, you have successfully hooked me on Dice Horders and I am frothing at the mouth. I'm just starting an internship but there's a non-zero chance I write something for this ship. Something a bit more heavy than a simple kiss, but nothing explicit.

So. Like, are you willing to share make out headcannons? Or just, ramble about these two being together?

OH YOU HAVE TRIGGERED THE AUTISTIC ROCKING BACK AND FORTH. I LOVE YOU DEAR ASKER AND NEW SHIP CREWMATE! /p

I'm not great with intimacy stuff cause I'm aroace (well, apparently aegosexual), but I will try my best! Chance is 99% of the time the initiator. I can picture them making out on the desk or against the office door, in a dark room like a closet and Jerry's lightbulb accidentally lights up the space, or on the couch or a pillow/blanket fort while abandoning a movie night (except Chance gets distracted by a dragon showing up in said movie). Ooo and Chance's hair getting more messy than Jerry's is a fun picture. Hopefully these are helpful :D

And oooo you should not let me ramble. I think about these boys too often. Jerry is also a storyteller so he will attempt to GM at some point so Chance gets a break. Chance has a tendency to impulse buy things (with the Player's money) and Jerry tries to teach him DIYing. The museum always gives me Tardis layout vibes (Jerry being the 11th Doctor specifically, cause he's my favorite and wears a bowtie), and practically anything can be done with that. @thepinkestpug is our Research Lead (he came up with the ship name!) and has made the headcanon of Chance setting up "cleaning games" to help Jerry slim down his collection by rewarding him. Technically these rewards were explicit, but it could be done with less than explicit rewards as well!

I headcanon them both as autistic (since I am) so there's a lot that could be done there. Parallel play, Jerry being touch-starved, Chance being more social and maybe a bit masked and Jerry not understanding social cues (Because I mentioned it way too much in my fic, I do headcanon Chance as loving hand-holding and Jerry isn't complaining) (Chance also has a tendency to pick people up and spin them around)

And some miscellaneous ones. Jerry calls Chance "Ruby" cause of his eyes (he'd put them in the shiny rock section of his collection if he could), and Chance calls Jerry "Raggedy Man" (Doctor Who reference). The self-ship server co-authored Chance locking Jerry in the bathroom so he'll take a shower. Chance's love language is quality time, and Jerry's is gift giving but receiving words of affirmation. That boy is powered by praise. Also Jerry gives major allergy energy, like a pet dander allergy or something

You can go ask anything to the Miis! Here are certain points before you do send them in:

THE BLOG’S RATING IS UNIVERSAL/PG! Meaning no NSFW, no heavy gore, no swearing, no excessive violence. Things that can be more surface level like alcohol and mentions of horror/mature stuff are allowed as long as we don’t go into more mature territory. We can’t however control if people look things up, this is the Internet after all.

ABSOLUTELY NO HATE ALLOWED! We all have our preferences in the Miis and our dislikes, but if your entire personality revolves around hating specific Miis, don’t go send an ask about this! It’s stupid to hate a bunch of tris in a game that don’t really affect your life, and the Miis don’t deserve the hate. Give the Miis love, even the underrated ones! They love being showered in compliments and praise :3 (Also general rule of not being hateful to any race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, disability, ect. Let’s be respectful to each other as well)

IF POSSIBLE AND APPLICABLE, DO SOME RESEARCH BEFOREHAND! I personally don’t have motivation to answer asks that are misinformed or have gotten a good question if they didn’t miss a crucial plot point. The Wii Sports Wiki, despite being not very reputable, has always been based on facts and details that are canon in the actual games if you find the pages on the Miis and the game modes (I find that the My Miis Wiki is more fanmade hcs that state to be facts, so please proceed with caution there). These asks are, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, annoying and basically you’ll only get the Miis calling you a dingus for missing crucial info.

AVOID ASKING DRAWING "REQUESTS"! Sometimes, we receive things to draw that will only appeal to the asker but not to us artists. The Miis are people too, don't boss them around to follow your "commands", and if the request is way too weird for me to retranslate to drawing, I will ignore your ask completely. If it's to suggest costumes or clothing styles, then the Miis will do so if they wish to do so. Other asks saying "Try drawing this..." or "Draw that now..." will get immediately deleted.

YOU ARE TOTALLY ALLOWED TO GIFT THE MIIS WITH STUFF! You can give Miis objects, food, drinks, ect. Just be warned, like in Tomadachi Life and Miitopia, the Miis have preferences! They may or may not like what you give them~ >:)

Bela

While at first, you seemed like any other staff member or villager, Bela is quickly taught better

She notices your tendencies fast, and at first, isn’t too sure what to make of them

She isn’t sure why she defends you either, claiming it was her that accidentally ripped the pillows when Mother demands an explanation

Following up on why she acts this strangely, Bela decides to get to know you, more and more

In little time she finds herself falling for you, for your honest, unconcealed ways

She finds your more feral tendencies somewhat adorable, though at times scolds you like she has done countless times in the past when her then equally feral sisters broke something

Being allowed to stay in her room after a good while of dating, you couldn’t be happier

You’re with the woman you love, in a warm room and a spacious one

Despite this, Bela often has you sleep in a separate bed

Not that she doesn’t usually curl up with you

She just finds early on that you kick all from the bed in your sleep, pillows and blankets, even tear at the sheets- and her, if she happens to sleep next to you

And while you feel awful for the marks you leave on her in your sleep, it does get you curious like nothing else

You feel the need to bite, to mark, to cut and tear with your nails like an animal might

Multiple times, you’ve wondered whether you’re similar to the Lycans outside, even

Bela, though, she makes the thought of these things even sweeter

At times, when you zone out biting at a piece of bark or a sturdy stick she’s found you, your thoughts just…wander

You then can’t help but wonder how it would be to bite into her skin

She does insist, your blood tastes incredible, and there isn’t a day your flesh isn’t marked by her

But Bela?

Her beautiful, porcelain-like skin, soft and cold..

Often, you imagine what it’s like to chew on her neck or arm, just a quick taste if that’s all she grants you

At other times, you can’t help but accidentally nip her with your nails

Usually this is when you’ve pulled her in your lap, often having her there when you’re reading or so

She always agrees eagerly to this, knowing it means no more pillows will be torn open

Instead, your nails dig into her, bringing forth sharp gasps and low, soft groans every once in a while

You aren’t sure she’s truly against it, for she never scolds you and still is happy to sit on your lap

Perhaps, it’s her way of repaying you for being allowed to feed from your neck

Cassandra

Discovering you in the village, Cassandra is immediately keen on finding out more about you

Perhaps, that is because of how she found you…snarling as you tug and grunt, looking as though you’re playing tug of war with the lycan that stole your jacket

Of course, she easily snaps the creature in half, her pride blooming as you grin widely at her, your jacket clutched in your hands

She decides to take you with her, and while it wouldn’t quite have made a difference, you eagerly come with her

With Cassandra by your side, you soon learn to give into your subconscious thoughts and actions rather than fighting them

Cassandra, in a way, is feral at times as well

Due to that, she doesn’t quite care for the consequences of your actions

In time, as more blooms between the two of you

As such, she becomes more aware of your quirks, and you with here

Like when you curled up in bed with her

Her nails flexing every time you push your finger against her palm, her breathing even

Until, that is, you suddenly bite into her arm

Cassandra jumps, then raises an eyebrow when she meets your eyes

You don’t seem fazed, still playing with her palm, as though the biting didn’t faze you in the slightest

She shrugs, only. She doesn’t mind. In fact, it’s somewhat nice to feel your lips and teeth against her

As she notices this behaviour continue quite often, your sleeping and cuddle positions often change

You’re often with your head at her neck, biting contentedly as you read

Behind your back, she often sharpens her weapon

Both of you, content to be together, in indulging in whatever feral habits you have

When you scratch up her pillow in your sleep, Cassandra simply replaces them. They’re nothing of worth to her

Instead, she finds your urge to claw at things inspiring

She decides to allow you to hold her clothing and shields when you read, silently giggling to herself

You’re ideal for testing their efficiency, really

By the end of the day, or whenever you finish what activity has you so captivated, she checks how deep you were able to scratch

If the item is of no use, she discards it

Often, that means you get to gnaw at it all you want

Daniela

As the two of you become closer and closer, multiple things happen

1), Daniela and you catch feelings, fast

She quickly becomes important to you, and equally you become incredibly important to her

You look forward to spending your time with her, as does she

Even when this means the two of you curling up and reading side by side in the library, the two of you treasure these oments

2), the two of you spend a lot of time together

As such, Daniela becomes increasingly aware of your characteristics and mannerisms, intentional or not

Being somewhat feral as well, Daniela at first doesn’t even notice a thing

Clawing up clothing and pillows, gnawing at pencils, wood and whatever is near you when you’re concentrating…

It all seems perfectly normal to her, really

Yes, maybe some are prime examples of things Bela and Mother would scold her for

Still, for a long time she pays no mind to what you’re doing

In fact, it takes quite a while and an annoyed remark from her eldest sister for her to realise what you’re doing isn’t quite appreciated by all

She notices you claw at her favorite pillows when the two of you read

Really, you can’t help clenching it so tight it rips

You can’t help your sharp nails, too, and don’t want Daniela to file them down a little

She only shrugs when you refuse that solution

She won’t press you, though occasionally helps you take care of your hands and nails

Instead, she makes sure you have “your” pillows, scratched up and sewn together again countless times

This way, you can tear them as often as you like, and neither Daniela, nor Alcina minds

She tends to your needs, going so far as to ask you at one point whether you’d like some blood…which promptly has her older sisters smack the back of her head

Feeding a human blood, really!

Instead, she likes feeding you as you read, her giggles keeping you happy as you tear at yet another pillow

I think Taco would have a lot of difficulties trying new foods post canon. After her initial recovery where she wouldn't be focused on taste, just hunger, she might get worried by new foods. Especially foods that could only really be seen inside the hotel. For example, pizza. though she heard soap's wasn't..the best, she knows what pizza is, and would be willing to try it. Anything that could be made in the forest she'd likely be okay with, but that's not much. i doubt the season 1 cast was being treated with 5 star meals, so she'd probably know the bare minimum foods the cast was provided, like pasta. not very flavorful stuff. Also, autism taco, we love her, she wouldn't like foods touching. At all. sauces would make her confused by the flavors too. I wouldn't say she's PICKY, but she has her difficulties. Of course if she's hungry, she's not paying attention to flavor. - new asker (the one that asked about taco's woodworking and stuff) I should come up with a sign off uhhh - Matcha

Yup! Lots of trouble with that. Not only with her tasting it, but likely with whatever digestive system she has in general. Heavily processed stuff would not sit well with her, she's only ever had the plain, bland food you mentioned they'd have in season one, and whatever she could scrounge up in the forest. You put one grain of red 40 in her and she will take 30% poison damage.

!AUTISM TACO NEURON ACTIVATION! Yeah foods shouldn't touch, they need to keep their flavours to themselves fr. I will take your advice and project that onto Taco. Who needs sauce when the food already has a flavour!! I'll just eat the mustard on its own.

Yeah, I wouldn't say she's particularly picky, not after some harsh winters especially, but there are definitely things she just can't eat for one reason or another. Although, at least immediately post-finale, she's probably the one providing most of the food. None of the others would really know how to properly hunt/forage, yeah? So it's mostly all the food Taco has stored up in her shell while she teaches them all what is and isn't safe to eat, how to fish without a proper fishing rod, farming techniques, etc.

jumping in here to say how grateful I am of yall. y'know me, theories and ramblings are always welcomed and encouraged in my askbox!! It's always been an honor to showcase them but what's truly moving is that yall want to hear my personal thoughts on it. I'm merely just a guy essentially haha. Admittedly, I sometimes worry whether my answer is satisfying enough for the asker or if it held any value. It's a small thought, but hell is it gonna stop me from being me. Yall stuck around, whatever the case may be.

Not only that but some of you have given me like actual art. Even if you don't think that it's good, that's not what matters. The point being that you gave it your all and were brave enough to share it with me, it means a lot. And ofc y'know I'm gonna aggressively love it regardless, that's why I got the #ink fridge jpg in my intro post

Now, I'm probably gonna make a post about it but recently, I've been thinking over and over about my role as a reporter (technically unofficially) for the fandom. Ofc it's my responsibility and I think I'm pretty strong-willed to handle the job. Not only that but people gave me their trust, informed me of updates and news I might've missed. But there was a specific reblog that got me thinking, they asked if it would be better to spread the serious news on other platforms, to get the word out there. It's understandable, the thing was that tumblr is the only social I have under "midnight1nk", everything else is with another username and it allowed me to do my work. The first thought I had was to make a website, an easy solution, but considering how the hacks were going on, yeah I'm not risking myself for it. I'll be sticking with being here with tumblr.

The other issue I thought of was that my reports may be too much somehow. Considering how things are in the world, I do want to try to bring some positivity with what I know how. But I also value honesty and justice, and at times, it may be some serious news. Ofc highly important to be informed, I stand by it above all, but I also don't want to sway that positivity when the time isn't right or when I'm unable to. For those who have been around long enough, y'know how I'm like. Anyway, it definitely needs a balance and I do have a few ideas on how to solve this. Simply, these were thoughts I've been going over in my mind.

Krogans

As humans first integrated into galactic civilisation and brought our holidays with us, most species were intrigued

Except the korgans

Krogans couldn't have cared less for the new neighbours and their strange holidays

It's hard to be interested in some other species' party when your homeplanet is war plagued still

The tragedy of the genophage still affecting every waking day

So to invite them along on a holiday that's mainly for kids? When their scarce miracle children spend their entire childhood in one small camp for safety?

It feels like rubbing it in

You might just end up with a broken nose.

Even the ones willing to give it a chance don't get the best experience

Most people don't react well when confronted with a whole hulking Krogan drenched in fake blood at the front of their porch

So many shattered bowls of candy from being dropped in shock

But if this is happening after the cure of the genophage

Then the krogans would be more than willing to participate

Parents absolutely delighted at the idea of dressing up their children in costumes and accompanying them from door to door

Families finally getting to act like families and have the full welcoming warm neighbourhood experience as their world is rebuilt

Even the mercenary krogans feel a weight lift off of their shoulder

Being able to attend the adult Halloween parties in peace without guilt or fear

The krogans in Andromeda are more willing to give Halloween a go before fully establishing families

Much like they used human movies and high school proms as a point of reference when it came to courtship in romance after the gender integration

Halloween is adaptated out of necessity

To encourage fraternization

Throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks kind of deal

And the turian holidays suck, trust them they've tried, more akin to glorified boot camps.

So humanity's turn it is

The concept seems fun, although little strange

At least they can easily swap out the boring candy for something with actual punch to it

Their costume ideas are out of the ordinary

Ranging in creativity from masquerading as a rock of the average mineral kind

To a fully decked out thresher maw costume that makes you remember just how big and sharp their teeth are

They are effortlessly scary.

At least to humans

Ringing the bell to a krogan household would result in your candy bucket getting filled instantly by a big chunk of paper-wrapped meat.

They're grilling in the backyard

And ran out of candy

So here's you due, human

Don't ask what kind of meat is it.

Oh they will tell you if you ask

But you really don't want to know

Before you ask, no, you may not join

There are opened bottles of krogan liquor

And they don't feel like babysitting today.

Salarians

Another one for the "what do you mean you don't actually have any tricks??" team

Then why say it?

Why would they give you candy otherwise?

Isn't the whole candy thing an offering to avoid mischievous tricks?

Yet the only options you're presenting is either they give you candy or...nothing happens

Really you need to try harder

Here, they'll close the door and give a 5 minute head start to think of a trick before ringing the bell again

...

Really?

You couldn't come up with something?

And humans are supposed to be the pinnacle of creativity...

Five minutes is plenty of time!

Ugh fine just take your candy and go

Why yes, it is mini nutritions bar—

It's not that salarians intentionally give out bad candy

But let's say their society focused so much on speedruning space travel and technology

So much so they neglected all other aspects

Including palatable food that isn't just nutritions packed meals

There is a reason why a lot of salarians enjoy human culinary arts so much

Even certian krogan dishes smell heavenly to them

When it comes to costumes, it's hard to get into character because of their "I'm lying" tell always being obvious to other salarians

Which completely breaks the illusion

They do like the decorations

The spooky pumpkin carving

The gore-themed food like human-eyeball shaped gummies

It's weirdly... fun

When picking their costumes, they mostly use the humanity as a frame of reference

That's how your salarian coworker zarrow ended dressing up in a sexy cat costume for the office Halloween party

What? It's the most popular costume in all of human history.

A lot of salarians end up taking a fancy to Halloween

Participating in it with the same intensity of humans who are a little too into anime

Some of them even put in the extra work to import "real" human candy straight from Earth.

Even if the Citadel sells the exact same one

They insist the ones from Earth are more "authentic"

Ringing the door to a salarian household

If it's not the bland nutritions bars nor the same ol'kitkat and M&M packs

Then you might actually receive some assorted salarian fruits

Sur'kesh planet-wide tropical biome allowed for the most delicious and juicy fruits to thrive

Their taste alone makes you realise why Salarians never bothered with cooking
