Penso che è venerdì, che fuori è bello e non ho voglia di lavorare. Partirei volentieri per il mare, una camminata lunga sulla spiaggia, i pantaloni arrotolati e i piedi nudi. Le spiagge deserte sono come un foglio bianco su cui scrivere storie col pensiero. Respirare, riempirsi gli occhi di azzurro, lasciare vagare i pensieri, scrollarsi dalle spalle lo stress e le preoccupazioni. Un po' di questo mi è dovuto. Ci è dovuto. Invece sono qui, starò al computer tutto il giorno e sognerò di essere al mare. E' pur sempre venerdì. Thank's God it's Friday. Reposted from @mtchallenge Fra le astuzie dell'intelligenza in cucina, ci sono ricette svuotafrigo che, oltre ad essere buone, si presentano anche talmente bene che a nessuno verrebbe in mente che siano nate per riciclare avanzi di formaggio o verdure un po' appassite. E' il caso di questo cake di piselli, una preparazione rustica che diventa elegante se messa nel piatto, con un velo di fonduta. A renderlo morbidissimo, ci pensano i piselli, ridotti in purea. A renderlo gustosissimo, i formaggi misti, grattugiati e aggiunti all'impasto. Puoi utilizzare anche altri legumi o verdure: le fave sono perfette con una fonduta di pecorino, gli zucchini con una crema di ricotta, aromatizzata al limone e alla menta. Cinderella’s been a dream role for a long time. I didn’t think I would ever get a chance to do it. At the age I’m in now, I remember Into the Woods was the first time I got introduced to the gray area of life, you know? Hearing ‘nice is different than good’ blows your mind when you’re a kid. I’m excited for this production. I’m pinching myself.

I really wanted that moment of stepping inside to be impactful. This feeling of a warm, lush, opulent cocoon-like space was really important to us, and so we have hung onto that every step of the way. That also includes the chandeliers and the light bulbs, which were also a primary ingredient in the original design. The entire lighting design, the entire light plot was just light bulbs and chandeliers. - Mimi Lien, set designer

All of us working on the stage show were very influenced by the movie. The story, the style, the look all found their inspiration there. My job as designer was to capture its energy, as well as tell the story that John Logan wrote in his script. I’ve tried to pay homage to a few favorite visuals from the movie, and at the same time, make this production feel surprising and new. - Derek McLane, set designer

When I was choosing fabric for Denée, I found this amazing fabric that had these bright silver polka dots on it. I would never have thought of silver in the context of this show before, because there's so much gold. I was inspired by her. I also decided there needs to be more movement to the dress, so there are dangly, globe-shaped beads on the dress. She gets this fancy dress and puts it on and gets swept away—but it wants to feel light, like she drank too much champagne. - Paloma Young, costume designer

I want the clothes to support the story. I don’t want them to be what they take from the production when they leave. It should be a seamless apart of the world and the story. I want them to take my work as part of the whole and that you almost don’t notice it, because it is the perfect thing for that world and you can’t imagine it any other way. - Linda Cho, costume designer

We use very unconventional fabric… unconventional materials [to] work with. We do have to use a lot of internal structures so that we can achieve those very small pleats with the peplum skirts and dresses, with the shoulders and the sleeves. With a skirt, there’s a lot of internal work that goes into them to make sure we get that very definite shape. - Gabriella Slade, costume designer
