Thought occurs. Given that, according to Lae'zel, Mind Flayers have silver blood, wouldn't Greygold blush silver? Then again, everything ingame has red blood for the sake of not having to recolor blood a dozen times depending on what gets hit, so...

Lol Yeah I discovered the silver blood fact when Larian wrote they patched up the squids' blood to be canonically silver in the game a while back. But uh- Yeah! Even though I was aware about silver blood at the time, the pink blush was an intentional choice on my part. I thought the classic pink hue looked more recognizable and nicer looking for a blush than silver cheeks. cheek bones?

Here's what silver blushes would look like at least:

A personal aesthetical choice this time though. Absolutely threw out logic and reason out the window about mindflayer blushes.

But also the real question is can Illithids actually blush? Do they have enough cheeks and blood vessels for all the blood to rush to? And if squids have complete control on all their bodily functions, would they really choose to voluntary blush to physically convey how embarrassed they are??? don't answer that. So here's my catch 22 backup explanations for if ever the squid blush paradox was brought to my attention: Either it's an squid optical illusion. I'm thinking perhaps there was a conversation or an Inside Joke between Greygold and The Emperor. A way to communicate vulnerability squid-style rather than having to mentally explain or share that particularly embarrassing feeling.

Or! It's like one of those robot face emoji holograms. Like the squid bubble colors, one of those colorful feely-dealies that involuntarily manifest in front of squid faces that only squids can see when they're having outbursts of FEELINGS.

Now. When this fact was brought to my attention, Ash tried to brush it off by saying that they would just lose it, like they lost their Doctor Who ones, because they lose things easily.

So I said, You're never losing them. The curse of the Good Omens Mascot is upon them.

Well, this week, Ash was caught in a thunderstorm/tornado thing. Bad enough that their whole fucking coat blew away.

But guess what. The Good Omens pin that they were wearing fell off.

So ze lost the coat.

But ze still has the Good Omens pin.
