BGM: Nav Katze - Never Not (Black Dog Mix #1)

I finished reading Shuntaro Tanikawa's book, "Proses". The proses by Shuntaro Tanikawa was so lyrical, therefore I could enjoyed the "rich taste of Japanese itself". I thought about his brain which can product his marvelous poetry and also these proses. Where can such a smartness of him come from? I remember Natsuki Ikezawa's comment about any great Japanese authors as Kunio Tsuji and Saiichi Maruya. Are those great writers/artists the "chosen geniuses"? Or they are just ordinary human beings? I can see that Shuntaro Tanikawa's real figure is just the one of an ordinary, snob person. I can't see that he is trying to pretend he can be greater than the real. Just a natural, and cool guy... Indeed, there must be some geniuses we can't see what they have been thinking certainly. But I am attracted by the people who are showing their ordinary, banal figures but also having their greatness within those figures. I call them as "tacticians". For me, Haruki Murakami, Kenzaburo Oe, and Paul Auster are that kind of "tacticians" (I welcome your different opinions would come). And I am also thinking that I want to live that kind of "ordinary" "orthodox" life with expressing myself. I live within this world, and also talk to it.

This morning I had a meeting about English on ZOOM. I found that there was a member from India besides us, the Japanese members. I was surprised at his great Japanese which enabled him to write some great examples of Japanese sentences. I thought that this meeting had a really high level (every member must keep on trying to do their effort in their lives). Today we created some examples by using the phrases "after all" and "all year round", and I created "I've been wearing the same pants all year round". Then it made other members laugh... I used this "pants" as a kind of clothes, so not as an underwear. But they accepted that "pants" as an underwear... Of course, this is not wrong understanding. If we listened to that example as British English or Japanese context, it would be accepted as a natural one (and I learned after this meeting this. Tonikaku Akarui Yasumura, who is now popular in England, is saying his underwear as a "pants" on the stage). OMG... But that happening was accepted as a funny, great one. I was glad to learn that because my "too natural" comments would be accepted as that kind of funny ones (BTW, in England we say that kind of clothes as "trousers").

This afternoon, with reading the book "Proses", I finished compiling the record of the meeting about autism we had had ten days ago. I look back at the past we autistic people learned our handicap, and it is impressive that a participant said her difficulty which came from her autism had reached to the limit by using the word "explosion". I can see what the "explosion" could be by looking at "my personal" past days. Every day's little stress by miscommunication would become a huge cluster in ourselves, and we couldn't solve it effectively therefore it "explodes" in ourselves one day... In other words, how can we solve that problem before we experience the "explosion" or "meltdown"? Me, my "meltdown" is just like to drink heavily, to buy something too much, and to eat a lot. Although I quit alcohol, but I have to accept that still I buy something on Amazon by one click. How can I solve the problem before "melting down"? How can I do maintenance my mind? I learned again that how important to let the gas in my mind out by using LINE because recently I had a trouble about money management again.

This evening I went to the "danshu" meeting. I confessed the event I had experienced last Sunday. It was not related with any traumatic past drunken days... Other person talked about a man who he had met on Facebook. They had a great, precious opportunity therefore it wouldn't come again if we lose it. He ended his story with saying that we should share the pleasant time each other without staying within our shells alone. I remembered the meeting I had had this morning. Or this "danshu" meeting has been also a great opportunity for me. I have enjoyed this "danshu" meeting about 8 years, but still have learned a lot of interesting, great things as the lessons. After the meeting, I spent the time with reading Fernando Pessoa's "The Book of Disquiet". The main character Pessoa describes must be the on e who has shown an orthodox worker, and also a great owner of the huge poetry talent (he must be "gifted"). I am enjoying "The Book of Disquiet" even though I have read this already for 5 times. During that Pessoa's book, I read Shuntaro Tanikawa's poems. After passing 10 pm, I posted my poetry because I had forgot doing so. My poetry creating becomes a certain, stable habit?

Koushiro Week 2022 - Day 4: Confiding, Fashion & Confidence

Summary: Koushiro turns to his friends for help, and decides it's time to be brave and follow his heart. Koushiro stomped his feet nervously as he waited to Mimi and Hikari to arrive at the cafeteria. He still wasn’t sure about opening up to them – since his first choice would be Sora, but she didn’t answer his call -, but he had to talk to someone or he’d go crazy. “Hey, we’re sorry for taking so long.” Mimi apologized. “Have you waited long?” “No, I arrived a little earlier.” “You sounded worried and anxious in your voice message. What happened?” “I need advice.” He couldn’t help but blush heavily. “You need advice?” The older brunette repeated in shock. “On what?” “Love.” Koushiro faked a cough, so the word wouldn’t be too loud. “I’m sorry, I don’t think I heard it quite well.” Mimi said with a grin. “What is it again?” “Mimi, we’re supposed to help him, not make fun.” “You know what? This was a mistake.” “No, no, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I was just surprised you’d ask for love advice.” “What do you need help with?” “How do you know you have feelings for someone?” “Well, you feel extra happy seeing or talking to this person; you want to be around them all the time and feel sad when you don’t; and you get butterflies on your stomach as well.” “Does wanting to walk a woman home everyday and looking forward to seeing her on Monday again count as being in love?” “Probably.” Hikari confirmed. “Why don’t you tell us the whole story, so we help you in a better way?” “Alright.” He took a deep breath. “I met this girl in college and have been walking her to her house since day one.” “That was two months ago.” “I know.” “You’ve been in love with her since then?” “No, absolutely not. I realized something was different about two weeks ago.” “So what did you do?” “Nothing. What was I supposed to do?” “Tell her you have feelings for her.” “Are you kidding me? I don’t even know if she feels the same as me.” “That’s why you should tell her. It’s the only way you can know how she feels.” “Mimi, I don’t think it’s something Koushiro would do. NIGHT HEAD 2041 TV Anime Gets Stage Play in Japan in July

  NIGHT HEAD 2014, a 2021 TV anime based on the 1992 TV drama about a pair of psychically-gifted brothers fleeing persecution in a dystopic near-future world, is being adapted into a stage play that will run in Tokyo in July of 2022. The main staff for NIGHT HEAD 2041-THE STAGE has been revealed, including:

2023/12/17 BGM: 細野晴臣 - LAUGHTER MEDITATION

This morning, I had the zoom meeting via Facebook as usual. On Sundays, we enjoy having free talk with about three or four members. Today, at first each members did self introduction. I said once I had lived in Waseda, and at last I taught them that once I had been a student from Waseda university. But I always wonder if I should confess this fact to anyone else. I don't know why, but for me, it needs a certain courage of me to tell other people as other sensitive facts (for example, I am autistic, I am an alcoholic one therefore trying to quit it, etc.)

After that meeting, I went out from my room. I moved myself to AEON, and at there I started reading the rest of Takashi Akutsu's journal (阿久津隆『読書の日記 本を出す 指を切る お葬式』.) As I had written yesterday, it has attracted me certainly enough to feel that I want to read other volumes of his journal.

I went to libraries to borrow Haruki Murakami's novels, and also Karl Ove Knausgaard's book "My Struggle" which a friend on Discord had recommended me. Going back to my room, I started reading Natsuki Ikezawa's novel (池澤夏樹『スティル・ライフ』.) I can remember that once I had read this novel when I was a teenager. Indeed, I could feel that this novel had a certain, crispy style which enables itself to expressing great pieces of philosophical ideas.

And now (TBH I am now 48,) I can find this fact. You (yes, the person who are reading this graffiti) are not the same person as I. You must have an absolutely, completely different point of view. You also see not the same world as I. Therefore, you must have an enigmatic, profound, therefore valuable viewpoints. In other words, this world can have/contain such numerous subjects which can describe this world, this reality. The Ikezawa's novel suggested me that grateful fact/truth tenderly. Yes, I want to recommend this novel to other friends if they are interested in Japanese literature.

I have to admit that I have had a sore throat - therefore I decided I shouldn't work on tomorrow anymore.

He had been stuck there for at least ten minutes and he didn’t think he could move at all. “Koushiro?” Kae Izumi placed her hand on his shoulder gently and that seemed to break his trance. “Is everything okay, sweetie?” “Everything is fine, I guess.” He looked at her and shrugged. “I’m just nervous about my first day.” “That’s understandable. I felt nervous on my first day too.” Masami Izumi stopped beside him. “Really, dad? I didn’t know that.” “Well, the first days were very hard for me. You were just a baby back then. But later I realized it wasn’t so bad. I made some friends I still carry to this day. Maybe the same thing will happen to you.” “Or maybe you’ll find love here.” Kae said with a smile. “Mom, I’m not looking for love, I’m sorry. I know how much you’d want this, but it’s not my priority right now.” “Ah I’d love to have a daughter-in-law. Even if you’re not looking for one, it can still happen.” “Son, I think it’s time for you to go in or you’ll be late for your first class.” “I don’t think I can move, dad. I can’t do this.” “Of course you can. You can do anything you want.” “What if they don’t like me?” “How can they not like you?” Kae was surprised. “You’re such a nice boy, everyone likes you.” “That’s true.” “You can do this, Koushiro. I believe in you.” “Thank you, mom.” Koushiro smiled at her. “I can do this.” “Tentomon will be so proud of you.” “I think so too.” He shook his head slightly. “Well, I’m going.” “Good luck, son.” “I want to know all about it when you come back.” “Got it.” He gave a hug in both of them before finally walking into the building. Kae burst into tears on Masami’s arms when the boy was far enough not to hear her.
