Oh, you treat me like a stray dog
Trying to find its way home
Oh you feed me like an animal too wounded
To eat on its own
You touch my body like it's dressed in disease
And you're the only savior I need
There is no greater feeling of joy I can feel when I meet another human being who unironically and thoroughly enjoys and appreciates Harley Poe as much as I do.
GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS MY BOYFRIEND SAID HE WOULD TAKE ME TO A FRANK TURNER, AMIGO THE DEVIL, AND BRIDGE CITY SINNERS CONCERT. THERE'S A COUPLE OTHER ACTS I DON'T RECOGNIZE TOO. I'M FUCKING FREAKING OUTTTTTT
With all this renewed focus on Ryan Gosling, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that he once put out a murderfolk/spooky indie album with his friend Zach Shields as the duo Dead Man’s Bones.
okay so if midwestern emos have, well, midwest emo, what do northern emos jam to that's is "of their region"? i have it on good authority as a southerner who was (and may still be considered) emo that southern gothic/murderfolk is our jam, it resonates yanno, but what do northerners have? genuine question; the only answer i will reject is base emo music (mcr for example) bc listen, bub, we *all* listened to that shit. that's the catchall for emos, we also listened to that shit. i'm talkin' shit that was exclusive to the area, yanno, like where i'm from down south we had 'lil no-name bands with handmade flyers that would do shitty concerts at bonfires in the woods singin' about death and depression and no one lovin' you to the tune of a fucking banjo. like. that is of its area, that's the VIBE, ya feel me? is the vibe similar? drastically different? northerners, give me ur legends bros, i am curious.
