Shinobu's breaths were shallow and desperate as she sat at the suspiciously reinforced chairs of the Ohara Hotel's Cafeteria, grazing through an enormous pile of fattening sweets with one hand, slices of cake, scoops of ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, it didn't matter, as long as it was bite sized, sweet, and easy to eat, and with the other playing a Gacha game that was easy enough to operate with one fat saddled hand.

But even her two favored activities, eating and gaming, weren't enough to wipe the frown off of her face, Kyoko insisted Shinobu get out a bit when in the hotel, to change up her habit of staying locked in her room for months at a time, but even the "short" walk from her room to the cafeteria nearly half an hour ago left her so winded that she still hadn't recovered from it, dripping sweat like rivers, not to mention the mild squeeze of her chest, it all felt extremely unpleasant, and the game... it sucked, phones had bad one hand games, she really wanted to go home to her battlestation, but alas, she was here, and wasn't going anywhere any time soon. "I wish... oulgmph... the game was as good... mmglph...~ as the food..."

She said with a resigned sigh, before reluctantly returning to her game anyways, indifferent to the fact it's audio could faintly be heard all across the cafeteria.

Mukago wandered around the Butterfly Estate, humming to herself. It was apparently a fairly calm day, as there had been very little demon activity recently. This meant that her brother as well as Tanjiro's group were able to have some time off for the moment. It would be a good time for Mizuteru, the archery demon her brother and Kanao had found, to finally begin showing she could be trusted. Granted, Mukago wasn't expecting Shinobu to go easy the recent recruit.

"Now let's see... the training course is all set and calibrated, the equipment is cleaned and ready to use... Now all I'm missing is my new apprentice." The insect hashira said placing a finger on her lip as she looked around for the newest member of the demon slayer's demon reserve team. The archer demon was supposed to start her training today though she was bizarrely absent, though given the series of dangerous wooden traps and obstacles Shinobu was standing infront of you'd be hard pressed to blame the new recruit for running late.

She'd eventually take notice of mukago turning to face her with her usual smile. "Ah! Goodmorning Mukago, I didn't expect to see you about so early." The hashira said hands clasped in each other as she greeted the reformed demon.

As the head lady of butterfly manor and the most skilled hashira when it came to the practice of medicine it should come to no surprise that shinobu had seen all manners of health issues from demon illnesses or those retaining to the more physical variety. Weight related issues were common in the corp particularly among lower ranks who hadn't fully mastered the breathing techniques that allow the sword wielding defenders to go toe to toe with demon's.

But even those breathing styles have limits and Shinobu knew well the signs and symptoms that came with the extreme diet demon slayers were required to maintain. Joint pain and muscle aches, horrid flatulence and indigestion, chest pains and wheezing breaths were all common amongst the senior members of the corps. When the burden on their bodies become too much to bare they come to her! She'll take care of them and hopefully put them on the road to recovery.

Unfortunately that isn't always possible and many a rookie slayer or experienced hashira has found their own gluttony do them in forcing them into an early retirement one they almost always spend atleast apart of at Shinobu's manor. Uniform gone and replaced by comfortable clothing designed to maximize comfort of her patients, training forgotten and exchanged for physical therapy and sponge baths to keep them as fit and clean as possible.

She's quite soft with these patients making sure to be there for them as much as she can though she doesn't tolerate anything that would put their health in jeopardy. If you won't sit still and take your medicine then maybe she'll just have to up your lard intake until you're too fat and immobile to even resist~

Shinobu and Tomoko have gone from MILFS to mid life crisis GILFS.

Shinobu is trying her best to still seem cool. But her 70s Japan definition of cool is mocked by her American contemporaries.

While Tomoko is loving American plastic surgery. No belly but an hourglass and lips worth a ton!

Their retirement is great

Shinobu tries and utterly fails to be the #girlboss housewife she presents herself as. Living next to a trailer park doesn't keep up her appearances. Food vlogging isn't as appealing when you can see Jolyne and Hermes wrestling in the background cursing up a storm.

Tomoko is enjoying herself. She's the breadwinner for the two and can often be seen going in and out of the local beauty parlor multiple times a day.

And yes those lips are worth their weight in gold.

And here I find myself again, circling back to the same basic thoughts about this arc that really only stretched itself out to about double what I and most others predicted. You get my angle right? While the world's watching, while the fandom's watching someone not named Nico Robin give a little nuggie of Void Century lore...200 chapters after Bakura Town, 100 after Kiku's fall, in a chapter after one with a folk lore allusion title. Stussy breaks the seal. Speaking more or less the same trauma. It's even the same central idea of Wano; ensuring the Straw Hat's escape was Stella's final command. It all runs on that old school Japanese take on ideal feminity; "A woman's happiness is taking care of those she loves." Self-sacrifice to repay kindness towards you.

Bonney has so much to compare and contrast, you're a solid candidate for someone who could kinda fuse Kiku & Yamato, but Stussy? You're our Tamataebako buddy with the same eyes. A trans woman and a clone, can't say it isn't relatable and they both have a demonic facade without an ounce of action girl tomboy tropes. Stussy can nab that torch now just like Bonney could have. But you still exist in that space. Why are we doing you now, after the others? We still have cards unplayed from Wano. When their theme is subtlety one should expect waiting until the final phase.

This chapter gives me a lot that has me excited.

We have a whole theme this chapter of people responding again and doubling down on the idea these different faces we know are reacting differently to Vegapunk's speech. Things different fans are reacting to. Wano the Joyboy lore, Carrot the weaponry, but it's one of those simple tricks that fuel a big deception. None of it is really that much deeper than clarifying what we as readers sorta knew. Of course, for Wano...it isn't the full group but we see a group. It'd make perfect sense for Kiku to be smiling and holding a tray with the implication she brought the dango, she could appear any example of this cover serial...but this is how you have to look at things when strategic absence is an established motif. Oh, and I guess Shino just got to stay youthful. Rock on mature woman, enjoy it.

The world is merely learning more or less what we know. The real story is still playing out. Stussy, the escape, this time we aren't breaking away. It's almost like a good rap track where the first two verses are smooth and melodic leading into a rapid-fire third verse to really hammer the message. I think we'll stick with that as the message unfolds. But this arc has just enough gas it's the opening act not the final point in and of itself. What makes me feel confident this time? Glad you asked:

Nojiko caring more about the farm bolsters this and her alone would have me freaking the fuck out but...bruh. Miss Goldenweek? Goldie!? Marianne and her hilarious in hindsight apple hat? Peep the suitcase, they're leaving to find Cross Guild. But yeah! Miss Friggin Goldenweek and Nojiko have an interesting response to this worldwide message. I love it too. They don't really seem to care much. Nami's big sister and a mellow girl that was one of Luffy's most vexing opponents. She got a cover serial, this little lady was always an oddball waiting to surprise us. For now though this is dope. Don't let her demeanor fool you, she was clearly a top agent for a reason and the reasons really aren't that different than the archetype I see out of Kiku.

What specifically does it though is how she's paired with the reaction focusing on the common people killed as collateral damage. Now let's take it altogether. Because something else going on under the message brings us back to where this felt most powerful:

Uh-oh. The big cloud layer is under attack. The Elbaf ship is getting surrounded. What if they weren't enough? For all the talk about other stuff that could happen if the Giants are the penultimate surprise addition...is it just gonna be the Grand Fleet after all? They make so much sense big picture. Robonosuke is still hanging around at the edge of all this too. Because things are getting dire on Egghead underneath the lore dump.

All in all...I love this shit right now because it's exactly what I've been on about since Wano ended. Wall to wall this chapter. 1115 is a straight banger.

How's Shinobu-chan feeling as of late?

“Bghff… ghahh… hahh… nghff… nghlk- BGURLPK-!!” Shinobu voided her stomach onto the sidewalk… again…

This was a frustratingly common occurrence, practically daily, always leaving her even more winded and uncomfortable than she usually found herself.

Today was a new record for her, both in how many times she wretched, 9, to be exact, and distance walked without taking a long break, 188 meters, and distance walked in one stroll, 1.3 kilometers.

She hated working out, no doubt in that, but after getting 3 heart attacks in as many hours a few months back, she had to acknowledge she needed to become healthier.

And so, she began taking daily walks, and cut down her daily mountain dew consumption to a mere 3 bottles a day, replacing the rest with diet sodas and trying to drink at least a liter of (albeit flavored) water.

She hated to admit it, because her pride was wounded listening to that pink haired boy and his sound medical advice, but Shinobu felt excellent, at least compared to before.

She got perhaps one heart episode a week, and even 3-4 hours of sleep a day, albeit begrudgingly.

An awkward uber drive home later, and a well earned shower, Shinobu plopped her still obese body on her gaming chair, she may be trying to get healthier, but her hobbies stood strong.

She booted up her PC, reluctantly set an alarm to 2 AM, and logged onto her MMO of choice, a content expression on her face as she took a comparatively easy breath, enjoying the health she’s worked so hard to start recovering.

Blobby shinobu being defeated and fattened like cattle.. The blood of a Pilar is already a delicacy but.. Combine that with a heart clogged with lard.. It makes it downright divine.. She just hopes mitsuki or the others can help her.. If mitsuki isn't turned into a blobby unhealthy blood bag for demons as well~

Her ass, neck, belly and breasts covered in bite marks. She's given nothing to cover herself with left exposed and open to be feed from or bred at any time... kept in a pen like a common hog forced to wallow in mud an eat out of a trough like an animal. She can only hope that the rest of her allies save her before she meets a grizzly end... or worse starts to enjoy this.
