Being a Hylian, it is said that they are a race blessed by the goddesses with ears that can hear the earth’s voice as a source of guidance, as well as the goddesses themselves. Link’s ears are sensitive, with which he can hear faint melodies wherever he goes, a gift which was used multiple times on his trips through the Lost Woods.

Not only are Link’s ears sensitive to sound, but they are also sensitive to touch. A gentle touch could be enough to put him to sleep, light kisses being very favorable. Or… one could simply flick them and bring him to his knees in a fit of tears. Either way!

❀  ̖́-                                              Music

Link finds a sort of spiritual comfort in music, if only because the world is so full of it and reminds him of the liveliness and magic that radiates from it. The land itself sings a special song that only Hylians blessed with ears of the goddesses can hear— basically my explanation as to why you hear music in the games haha~ So music in general makes Link feel happier, regardless of it being magical in nature or not. It’s something created by someone, just as the natural music is created by the land itself.

Music is something very near and dear to him.

❀  ̖́-                               Like a moth to a flame

While, yes, the gift of hearing the unheard helps the Hero of Time communicate with the paranormal && supernatural, Link is ALSO particularly sensitive to great and intense sources of energy. Drawn to it like a moth to a flame, it’s not a rare sight to spot the young, green-garbed man, hovering around a location plagued by any form of MAGICAL aura.

It’s almost as though he has a sixth sense for these things, though is that necessarily a bad thing?
