I updated my new biography. Let me know what you think 🤔 Pamela Rys is a contemporary artist born in Czestochowa, Poland in 1987. She currently resides and works in London, United Kingdom. Pamela Rys received her M.F.A. in 2017 after pursuing studies in fine art painting, design in visual communication, and fashion design. Pamela Rys' work is grounded in her admiration for planet Earth, the universe, and pranic healing energies. Inspired by her mother, who was also an artist, Pamela Rys began painting at a young age. Despite losing her mother at the age of four, Pamela Rys found a way to connect with her soul through her creative activities, feeling a unique connection to her when she paints. Pamela Rys continues to find solace in her creative pursuits. Pamela Rys' work is characterised by a vibrant and dynamic use of colour, combined with meticulous attention to detail. Her paintings often feature intricate patterns and motifs, layered and blended together to create a sense of depth and movement. Pamela Rys' abstract compositions explore a complex interplay of textures and colours. Her style is defined by the sculptural use of paint, as she builds her densely textured paintings with multiple layers of thick gesso, paint, wood, sand, plastic, and other materials to create unique three-dimensional works of art. As an eco-conscious artist, Pamela Rys uses recycled and sustainable materials whenever possible, and she never uses art materials created from animal products or tested on animals. This philosophy of creativity is close to her heart because she believes that the suffering of animals is not necessary to create works of art. On Thursday 19 January, this week. We are releasing the new track in our Sounds of Nature series. Axian does us the honor to start this new year with a fantastic release. About Axian: The Danish producer and instrumentalist Axian primarily draws inspiration from old-school hip-hop and jazz, which heavily influences his sound. His music, while undeniably inspired by the lo-fi sound, is built of dense and punchy drum selection, and jazzy compositions. As he says himself; "I love experimenting with different types of processing, it's super interesting how shaping a sound can change the feeling it conveys completely". Jonas Camposagrado (b.1996) is a Manila-based multi disciplinary artist who works with various mediums to create pieces addressing current political climates, focusing on social injustices, debunking class structures, and the demand for genuine agrarian reform. His work is heavily dedicated towards expressing self reflection and challenging one’s initiative to set change in motion.

He took up AB Multimedia Arts major in Studio Arts and Graphic Design from the Asia Pacific College. He worked and participated in various art shows/exhibit in the Philippines; and interned as a graphic artist at adobo Magazine where his illustrations had been published. He also handled Art Appreciation and other core art courses at Treston International College as an instructor.

Allegra, professional set designer specialized in opera and theatre, works with great Italian directors. Florentine, born in 1983, she graduated cum laude at Brera's Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, within that environment she gets in contact with contemporary Italian Art artists, allowing herself to be contaminated by both conceptual and more academic currents. Her work concerns memory with the intentional desire to return to classical painting, the choice of colors and painting techniques reminiscent of Italian painting from the early 1900s. The "Sad Swimmers" were born in 2014, she affectionately calls them: "my girls".

Continue reading for the mini #artistbio 😀 Whenever I start a new piece, I need to really be feeling what it is that I'm doing. I've tried the whole "oh there's a movie coming out" shtick and honestly, I'm never happy with the end result. For me, the problem isn't jumping onto a trend, it's not coming from a place of "I need to do this". I need to honestly be obsessed with whatever I'm working on, or the magic just won't work. I joke around a lot that I have next to no idea what I'm doing most of the time, and the truth is, I don't - at least not until I'm staring at the panels scattered amidst the blank canvas; that's when something incredible happens and immediately, I know where everything needs to be and how to get it there. When a new artist contacts you, do you always read the about section in their portfolio? Or if not, in what case you do. What kind of information do you like to see? Are there cases when this will make you want to work with the artist or the opposite - to never work with him/her

Yes, we read them.

Location, Language, Specialties, Interests, Hobbies, Pets, Client List, and then it’s really helpful to know if you have certain expertise or experience that would make it easier for an AD to give you sensitive jobs: Your gender, your sexual orientation, your cultural heritage. These are DEFINITELY NOT mandatory…and some people don’t feel comfortable sharing that AND THAT’S OK…but it really does help when an AD is looking for an artist who has a certain life experience to bring to a job. So if you feel comfortable sharing personal things about yourself that you’d like to explore in your work, then definitely put it in. But if you feel like it’s a danger to you, then that is ok and you don’t have to share it publicly.

After a quiet few years, producer Sivey is glad to be releasing new music again. His last wave of output was greeted with enthusiasm by fans of the kind of futuristic yet soulful beats championed by artist collectives like Soulection, HW&W and Darker Than Wax. Rooted in hip hop production, Sivey's largely instrumental tracks have brought together elements of millennial R&B, neo-soul, UK garage, 80s funk and jazz fusion. Having found success with a pair of EPs for Los Angeles-based Soulection as well as a number of remixes and features, Sivey was able to bring his sound to venues around the UK and abroad, DJing at shows as far afield as Los Angeles and Tokyo. In the few years since, Sivey has continued to experiment with new ways of exploiting his diverse influences in his productions, bringing some to the forefront and relegating others. As his listening habits became increasingly orientated around jazz and obscure 70s fusion records, his own productions began to reflect the shift, featuring more live instrumentation and jazz-influenced progressions with hints of late 1970s aesthetics. At the same time, various UK artists and labels were hard at work instigating a resurgence of the broken beat genre, a style whose fine balance between musicality and dance-@ability Sivey had always admired. He made his first experiments with the genre in 2017 and found that it mixed perfectly with what he had already been creating.
