1978 Musicmaster has arrived!

Q: What do this #vintageguitar and this #vintageamp have in common?

A: they are the least expensive ones in my collection...and two of my favourites!

Yes it is true...the TOTAL money I spent on acquiring this beat up (but original, and very loveable) 1966 #Fender#Musicmaster II 3/4 scale and this 1965 #Gisbon#GA17 RVT "Scout" #amplifier is precisely HALF the cost* of buying a new Les Paul Standard 50s or 60s model at a popular retailer in Canada today! I could have TWO of these complete rigs for the same price a ONE new bottom of the range Gibson USA Les Paul.

*OK OK, you make a good point: I did buy the Musicmaster several years ago (before prices went f*cking bonkers) but it was a good deal then and still by far the least expensive vintage Fender or Gibson guitar I have ever seen in all my guitar shopping travels. Plus, my guess is it probably wouldn't sell for a ton more now than I paid for it then because of its , shall we say, "mediocre" condition. Oh and also because no one** wants a Musicmaster ("wait...only one pickup? In the NECK position?!?! EWWW!") 🤣
