Unpopular K-POP Opinion: Aespa's discography is overhyped.

Before anyone attacks me, allow me to explain myself. I'm one of those people who got into K-POP because its more dancing and choreo based then western pop and in that regard I find Aespa so lacking. Like, to me they are good background music when I am sewing, but for dancing and actually just enjoying the song itself? No, I don't love busting a move to them despite it being super heavy with experimental EDM. There's something severely lacking in their sound for that so I'm rolling my eyes every time I see someone say stuff like, "Supernova would sound amazing in clubs'. Want to know my personal top 3 in the 4th gen? (G)I-DLE, they are my ults for many reasons but I do like dancing to their music too. Super Lady wasn't my favorite release but when it comes to the dance factor it's amongst my top (G)I-DLE songs because it is fun to dance to. It's kind of like how Chungha's 'Ready to Get This' isn't my favorite release of hers but if it came on at the club I would love dancing to it. Everglow, if there is one group who's EDM is actually club worthy, its them. I am not the only one who thought Adios sounded like a good song to jumpstyle to, which is an actual dance in the EDM scene. They could easily join the line-up of European festivals and I'll never stop saying that. My third spot is a tie between IVE and ITZY as whilst their discographies have its ups and downs, they are fun to dance to! It's not without a reason people call ITZY the dance queens of the 4th gen and I definitely agree. 3 out of these 4 groups have had at least one choreo that went viral with everyone immediately wanting to copy it the moment they saw the MV. I've never seen an AESPA choreo go viral. When I am not counting remixes of Aespa songs, the only Aespa song I like dancing to is 'Dreams Come True' and we all know that is a remastered version of an SM cover of a Finnish girlgroup. To me when I put my dancing shoes on, they are dull to dance to and I am tired of seeing their discography getting praised to the heavens when it doesn't have that 'groove' factor that makes me want to dance. I honestly wonder if all those people who think their music sounds good in a club have even been in a club or festival. Because to me, its not it.

 The blackboard art was amazing!

 I was shocked to see an (massive) picture of old me! Everyone there was also shocked! You could really feel the love behind the person that drew… I want to try my hand at blackboard art one day. 🏫

 In front of this blackboard we performed ‘Girls Rule’!

 The outfits we wore were from school uniforms that we borrowed from schools in Hyogo.

 I, Ikeda, wore the uniform of Ashiya Gakuen High School m(_ _)m

 It was a white dress-type sailor uniform, I never went to a school with uniforms and so this is my first time wearing a summer sailor uniform 🎐

 In a sense I probably made my mother happy… ^ ^ I think she always wanted me to wear a sailor uniform.

I’m jealous of the people that wear this amazing uniform to school everyday 〜(  ˊ꒳ˋ ) ᐝ

 We also performed the 5th generation song ‘Kokoro ni mo nai koto’

With Mao (っ'-')╮ =͟͟͞͞🍣ﾌﾞｫﾝ

 I haven’t worn this outfit since the shooting of the MV! So happy, so nostalgic.

 We performed it on the backdrop of a school roof. The wind was really strong and everyone’s bangs were like a iron wall ^ ^

 I’m so glad that we were able to perform our song on such a wonderful stage!

 I hope that starting today that you’ll love Nogizaka and the 5th generation members even more.
