By the time you see this post, I will be at a Renfaire in my armour! I'm just a visitor, not a participant -- but who knows what next year will bring! Stay tuned for pictures of me at the Faire (if my friends take pics!)

This is also a helpful look at how I put my kit on. This is not how everyone suits up -- notably I don't know anyone else who is able to have their arms forever tied to their gambeson and who put the whole thing on like a jacket, and then strap their cuirass overtop, but that's how I do it, and it allows me to get into kit fast!

When I got these rusty second hand gauntlets I wasn't sure how well they'd clean up -- I also had no idea how long they'd take to derust! I must have spent many hours carefully scrubbing away at these. Getting each scale on each finger was very hard.

I'm happy to say it was well worth it, these gauntlets look and fit better than my old ones.
