saw Dune 2 (2une?), and since I don't have my dune blog anymore I'll post here, since blah blah this is my place for posting about Dynastic Weirdos. This is long but NO MAJOR SPOILERS, except about like, small detail things that aren't plot things but whatever

Tbh it was disappointing. It had all the correct elements to be liked but one thing grated on me the whole time...the Bad Dialogue and lack of Elevated Speech! Why the hell were all these characters saying stuff like "these guys" "we're ok" and "literally" it took me out of the fantastical world sOOO bad. Super bummer because what I loved about Dune 1 (D-uno?) As someone who went into it before reading or knowing anything was how much it didn't explain, how it let the visuals and the world unfold before you, and how serious and somber it was in a way that gave it a sense of scale and time.

I can only wonder if WB saw all the complaints and tweets about people being like "we didn't understand the first movie!!! It wasn't funny and quippy!!!" And decided to simplify it down so characters just SAY things really obviously and inelegantly. The writing has some competence in moving the story forward but there's no poetry or rhythm to the way characters say things, it's serving "Rings of Power" scriptwriting to me lmao. And it's not like any of the actors are bad? I've seen them do well in the previous movie and in other things, so wtf was going on with the direction. I know people complained Abt Villeneuve saying that whole thing about being more into visuals than dialogue but maybe he was right...there needed to be LESS WORDS. bc much of the words we had were NOT GOOD.

Positivity: the middle and latter part was where the movie picked up for me. The Harkonnen Freak Villain behavior was everything I could have wanted! Finally instead of EXPLAINING everything obviously we got to see a LOT of character building, for Feyd specifically in a very short amount of time. I know a lot of us complained about Bald Feyd-Rautha but Mr Elvis did a very good job. And we got Madame Fenring and weird scifi femdomming finally, which is Essential for the Duniverse! Wonderful fantastic no notes.

Of course, getting back to our heroes, I anticipated this 2 years ago sadly and it was true...the Fremen were badass but SWAGLESS. More Learned ppl have already written about the frustration with the erasure of the Arabic/North African cultural presence so I won't reiterate that here since I'm not super knowledgeable about the specifics of that but even as a casual watcher there was a weird emptiness to the way I feel the society was portrayed. There were individual good character moments, such as fun bantering among the Fedaykin etc, but for Pacing or Whatever they cut out the community aspects that served to make them feel more like well, a People rather than just either Grizzled Soldiers/ Religious Fundamentalists aka Marks/Panicked refugees. I have to guess this was ppl were like "we can't show a culture too cool and colorful and the part with Harrah (Jamis' widow) would feel too ORIENTALIST!!! But the result is something sadly very dry. At least in more older orientalist works, the interest comes from when the ~exotic~ stereotypes figures are able to have charming personalities and personalities and be known as people despite the cliches sometimes but this sadly wasn't even like that....

Jamis' funeral is a good example of this; in the Book, it's a moment where you first get a good look of what rituals are like in this world, and how people relate to each other and to the dead. In the movie, the funeral is looks more foreign and even a little creepy as the water is extracted from the body. There's not really a Personal or community connection aspect to it at all.

The ending was pretty good as it satisfied all the Cool Dune Moments I think we all wanted to see, and also did literally the end of The Godfather Part 1 Framing which was hee hee heh. Anyways, Messiah is MY favorite book of the series personally so curious how they get to that.

Maybe I've been too spoiled by Cool Historical Fiction lately? I've been watching too much of The Devil's Crown where action happens mostly off screen but the dynastic drama is written and acted so compellingly, the historical mindset and setting so alien and yet so human and relatable, it's frustrating to see when works try to do the opposite? Idk??? Dune books themselves is fun in how action is mostly an "offscreen, offstage"' thing.

MORE MAINSTREAM KEVIN PARKER!!!!!!!! i do love tame impala's older/more niche sound just as much as i love him "selling out" (whatever, i will defend his minions and elvis tracks until i die and i will MEAN it) so i am STILL excited for this album even though the roll-out of singles has been consistently awful. but i guess dua lipa is a slow riser always (however long did it take her to peak on charts with 'dont start now'???). plus obviously DANNY!!!!!! YAY FOR DANNY!!!!!

its been a really good spring so far, with so many of my faves releasing music, and obviously that includes sebastian. i remember watching the runway show this was made for, but for some reason i didnt hear the whole track - maybe it was just highlights or something? i really love the synths in this one. its unusual for him to bring the choral singing in the start instead of the climax of the track, but its really well done (as always)! i wish, i wiiiiiiiiish there was something happening about the new album, too.

charli's really being weird recently about everything but goddddddd this slaps so good. im usually not that big on gesaffelstein but i do love ag cook so much. its going to be such a good clubbing record like literally.... its crazy she STILL gets labeled hyperpop. i also like club classics, but b2b is TRULY superior out of this double drop....

the beat of this one is just stuck in my head at all times. its cute! fun! perfect for spring. theyre soon to release their debut album, i need to remember to check it out. while its not SOTY material so far, its just cool and pleasant.

ok i for sure posted this one before, but its ok bc it got like 0 or 1 likes or something. starwolf is a band im really hopeful for!!!! their 2020 album was pretty interesting, but its their three last singles that got my ears all perked up. some daytime disco vibes in them, and its really cool considering i was somewhat.... underwhelmed by poolside's last album. so, i feel good about starwolf now! fingers crossed for summer, as it would be a perrrrrrrfect record to replay over and over during hot sunny days.

So for dia de los muertos, I was thinking about what it would be like if Latina!reader (specifically Mexican-American bc it is a Mexican holiday but her family lives in the US) introduces Eddie to the holiday

Even though they’re dating or best friends, he’s only mentioned once that the reason his mom isn’t in the picture is because she passed away several years ago. He doesn’t like to talk about it much, but she knows his mom meant a lot to him.

So she explains how “Day of the Dead” is a holiday celebrating the lives of our loved ones that have passed over. That we celebrate their life and what it meant to us. To help keep their spirit alive. Even though it’s mostly celebrated in Mexico, her family carried on the tradition here.

So she explains that the holiday is celebrated by setting up an altar with a picture of that person, a candle, and some of their favorite foods or items. Some people even go to visit their gravesite if they were buried and bring the items there. They also tell stories about that persons life and their favorite memories.

It’s a bit unusual to him at first. He’s not a particularly religious or spiritual person. But then he finds comfort in the idea that his mom’s spirit is still out there, watching over him and Wayne. That even though she’s gone, there’s a chance a part of her is still with him just not in a physical sense.

So he asks for her help in setting up small altar in the trailer. It’s just a small photo of her he keeps stashed away in his night stand and a small tea light candle he found in the junk drawer, but it’s something. He finds some wild flowers in the woods behind the trailer park and lays them down in front of her picture. He even goes to pick up some moon pies from the grocery store because those were her favorites, now of which are his favorite too.

“If I went to go visit her at the cemetery, would you come with me?” Eddie would nervously ask her. And of course, she’s more than happy to be there with him. They even go so far as to pack a small picnic.

They sit on a blanket in front of his moms grave, lay some flowers, and sit in silence for a bit before she asks Eddie about her. She starts off light by asking what his moms favorite music was or what she liked to do for fun. She even asks Eddie about his favorite memory with her.

And somehow, maybe it’s because it’s a holiday, but it feels easier for Eddie to talk about his mom. It doesn’t hurt so bad when he imagines she’s there, smiling down on them.

“My mom never really liked the metal stuff. That was more of my old man’s doing. But she did like the happy stuff. She always raised the volume whenever they were playing Elvis or The Beach Boys on the radio.”

“She liked to sing too. My old man always hated it, but I thought she had the prettiest voice I’d ever heard. Even if she was just humming as she did stuff around the house. She was the one who encouraged me to start playing. I’m pretty sure I get all my musical genius from her.”

Eddie continues to tell stories like that and slowly he starts to become happier. Like saying everything he’s ever thought about her is lifting an invisible weight off his chest. He likes talking about his mom again, even if it’s just to her, well, and Uncle Wayne too.

For a while, it was hard to even think about her. It always made him sad that she was gone and angrily with his dad for how he treated her. But the less he thinks about her, the less he remembers, and he vows to himself that he’ll never forget the most important person in his life.

i’m obsessed w all ur fics but i gotta ask…

are u planning on midge and ep making up some way in the next chapter or are u thinking ab dragging it out? (also wanted to let u know i reread the only sure thing probably once a week lmaooo)

So I'm writing chapter 8 right now and...... they are going to be colliding into each other at the end. Followed by three very very very smutty chapters. This and the last chapter where they are not together have been the HARDEST for me to write because I have the smut headcanons for the next chapters rebounding around in my mind grapes and I just want to get there already and I want the build up to be good but I have discovered this about myself as a writer. I'm not great at slow burn or storylines that don't lead to somewhat immediate smut..... lol.... maybe I'm off, but my favorite chapters of Only Sure Thing are 2 through 6..... I did like writing the scene in 7 where Elvis walks in on Midge writing fake fan letters for the Colonel.... but some of that chapter felt flat trying to accomplish more exposition and where i see them going... idk i am an aggressively hard on myself person, but i guess I think my favorite thing to write is pre-smut verbal foreplay which is hard to do if characters are broken up... so, this was a really long way to answer your question. The short answer is yes, and I'm sorry because I'm still learning how to write stories but I see ch 9 and 10 being.... um.... fun....

My love.... im so fucking honored to hear you say that because I am really fond of these characters and I reread it everytime I write a new chapter, but I also want to rewrite it, especially some of the clunky paragraphs early on where I feel like I was over explaining Elvis' bio.... I might one day....

This is something I'm struggling with so I'm curious to know what you think... I don't want them to make up totally until March 1961 bc Elvis is going to convince Midge to go to Hawaii with him and he's leaving like the day after they reunite. But I also don't think it's realistic that he wouldn't try to see her every chance he can and try to wear her resolve down... I'm having him bombard her with telegrams and phone calls, and sort of explaining how he's off filming two movies and doing benefits and events in Nashville and Memphis as the reason he doesn't see her for six months... but I feel like I need to write ONE "look let me prove I can be just friends" scene from Midge's pov, where E shows up at her place unexpectedly because he's super impulsive and hyperfixated..... and he wants to use any excuse to get her alone and bring her back to his house ... uh... ok apparently this post became part of my writing process...

Constraining myself to just wxs bc of the image limit. And also I’m biased so most of them would have been wxs anyways.

Absolute favorite card. Emunene real. If I have to spark for this and destroy my savings for wxs world link I will be so mad but I will do it.

Emu cards are always so good… I don’t think I can pull for Sanrio emu though despite it being one of my favorites (devastating) (saving for wxs world link). A shout out to her untrained Phoenix card & Torpe card too… they’re so cute.

Rui also has rlly good cards I think his cyber punk card is probably in my top 10 (also can’t pull for it) and his white day card… ough the lighting/pose/composition (still mad I couldn’t pull for that)

These untraineds are favorites just because they make me giggle. Tsukasa in a crisis is Always Hysterical (also why I like his untrained Phoenix/3rd year/doll festival* cards) but I think I’ve said [insert untrained pandemonium card] while talking abt tsukasa 100 times (which I got from you) because it’s never not funny. The gokart card is just really cute I love rui’s dumb expression and the fact that he’s too goddamn tall for this ride/the pure joy on emu’s face as she turns her car directly into rui presumably in an attempt to run him off the road (I support it). But the best part of it is 100% nene being a girl failure in the back like how did you fuck up so badly. Do not let her behind the wheel of a car ever. The expression of gamer rage on her face… her mario kart skills did not transfer over… she’s pissed. 10/10.

*Doll festival card gets an extra shout out. Why is rui there. He’s not in the side stories at all. The implication that he either 1) saw tsukasa acting like the world was ending and just went “not my problem” and walked away or 2) went to go eat lunch with him and walked in on him with his head in his hands having a capital c Crisis & had to deal with that is so funny.

As for Sam’s music taste. He gives me like mainly into non aggressive music but secretly kinda edgy??? It’s hard to explain, I feel like he’s sorta into a little bit of everything. In one episode he was listening to Visions by Jason Manns (a calmer song), but in later seasons he was listening to the bloody messiah (supposed to me metal/ rock-ish)

Low key I could see him getting down to some MCR, maybe some Queen (probably biased though cuz they’re my fav bands). I feel it heavily depends on his mood. (He definitely likes pop though, fight me lol)

Canon wise his favorite artist is Celine Dion, although he tells people it’s Elvis (which probably means he likes Elvis too)

Bonus: Some songs that reminds me of him is When I look at you by Screaming Trees (I think he’d really like that song) also ready for love by bad company.

There's so many iconic moments in that. Like when he scares the Sweet Inspirations. And when he grabs hold of all the mics in his hand trying to find the one that works lol

Favorite Genre/Era You Like To Hear Elvis Sing Most: Well i'm listening to his music in chronological order, so I haven't delved a whole lot into his 70s stuff. I think my favorite so far has been his 50s music. The 60s were awesome however most of the albums he made in that time were his movie soundtracks and not a whole lot of studio albums. So, 50s for right now :)

Current Favorite Elvis Song (bc how can you pick!): Polk Salad Annie and Suspicious Minds have been on a constant loop for me for months!

Elvis Song You Tend To Skip: It's not too often i have to skip any of his songs. But I find myself skipping over gospel numbers and a lot of the cheesy slower ballads in favor of songs that have more rock elements and energy

First i would want to see him at his Louisiana Hayride debut. That would have been amazing. And then his 68 Comeback Special, obviously. Idk how much a ticket to see him for that show and be taped in the audience was, but i would have shelled out big money to see him up close in that leather fit. And then one of this many Vegas shows. Just to get the chance to be kissed by the man, and maybe get snuck backstage in his dressing room afterwards ;)

Elvis Song You Tend To Skip: I skip some songs occasionally bc they might be a different vibe than I want. But I usually will skip the stuff recorded Live during the Aloha from Hawaii Satellite concert, I just don't really feel that the audio recordings sound good without the video and Elvis' performances are better on other occasion imo

Is There Any Other Music You've Started Listening To Because Of Elvis: Elvis reminded me of one of my childhood loves, Crybaby! A musical movie from 1990 staring a very young Johnny Depp and from the creator of Hairspray. It's a campy jukebox musical set in the mid 50s and any Elvis fan will absolutely get a kick out of it! Plus the music is great!

Last Live Performance You Were At: My friend took me to see her favorite artist, Lights. I was unfamiliar with them but it was a nice intimate show

If You Could Have Been At Any Of Elvis' Live Performances, Which Would Choose: I would have LOVED to have seen him in the early early days, specifically his performance in Austin, TX, a city very dear to my heart. I've seen one single photo and I'm pretty positive there's no video or audio recordings of them. *sad yeeyee* 😔 Plus it's the Live Music Capital of the World, so I love that Elvy got his feet wet there~

Last Elvis Song You Listened To: Okay, so I JUST discovered the Home Recordings album and I love it for so many reasons, but one is that he sings part of "If I Loved You" from Carousel and my musical theater loving heart is BURSTING because even though he's like screwing around a bit and it's certainly not "perfect," it gives the tiniest glimpse of how amazing he could have been in a stage musical (especially with even a smidge of extra training). *sob* Also, I'm pretty sure he's the one playing piano on it and I love it when he plays piano. And for some reason he also says "shit" in the middle of the track in between his beautiful singing which is just hilarious considering the song.

Current Elvis Song Stuck In Your Head: Wearin' That Loved On Look and The Girl of My Best Friend are both so catchy, I wake up in the middle of the night with them playing in my head!

Favorite Live Performance Moment: UGH, this is like choosing a favorite child. He just has so many good ones!! I love his performances from the first '69 Vegas concerts (audio only, unfortunately). He still has really endearing nerves and he tells bad jokes and laughs at himself a lot and there's just a lot of unique energy. The famous Are You Lonesome Tonight laughing fit comes from one of those nights and that is one of my favorite things EVER to listen to. My favorite visuals are probably Trying to Get to You and One Night from '68 and maybe You've Lost That Lovin Feeling from '70. And literally so many more...

Favorite Genre/Era You Like To Hear Elvis Sing Most: This often depends on my mood, but overall, I love where his vocals are at from '68-'70. He still has that youthful grit, but is really beginning to develop that delish lower register. I also like 1960 a lot, with that lighter, tenor-y feel. VERY different vocal sounds, but I think that was the utter magic of Elvis, was that he could sing so many different styles and had such an incredible range as a vocalist.

Current Favorite Elvis Song (bc how can you pick!): Without Love

Elvis Song You Tend To Skip: Anything after about '71 is hard for me to listen to. It's not that he didn't have some good stuff going on (I mean, Unchained Melody is a freakin' marvel), but because of the decline in his health/drug use, it's like I can HEAR how sick he is because the voice is such a physical instrument and so dependent on the health of the person it's attached to.

What Kind Of Music Did You Listen To Before/Besides Elvis: Besides E, I have a pretty eclectic music taste, but you can always find musical theater tracks and good vocalists on my playlists. Faouzia's new album was on repeat prior to the rebirth of my Elvis obsession.

I'm not much for huge, crazy crowds so the 50s stuff would definitely be OUT unfortunately, and the 70's arena shows were too big. I mean, I would've gone if I'd had the chance, I'm sure!

GET READY TO HEAR EVERYTHING BC I LITERALLY CANNOT PICK AND ALSO I REALLY WANT TO SHARE MORE WIPS !!!  🥺😍😍

So, my current favorite WIPs to work on right now are my original WIP The Innsmouth Bride and my fanfic WIP series with my Daybreakers oc Wendy McCoy. 

The Innsmouth Bride atm is really gaining traction in my brain because there is much of the worldbuilding that i need to do and since it involves the Cthulhu Mythos, a genre i am completely a newborn to, and also the setting of 1800s Victorian England I’ve got my research cut out for me but i am so excited to learn more about these topics, and in return, the world i am building too! I am also slowly but gradually falling in love with my characters as they grow and are fleshed out bit by bit, and with the history they keep in their families i am enthralled with how their dynamics are shaping out to be and what that means for my lovelies Emmett and Nerida as i try to balance the story as well as character arc. I also wanted to try out a story akin to beauty and the beast but with reversed gender roles because i don’t think we get those too often or maybe i just haven’t looked enough but darn it i wanted to see some cute/scary/badass/kind creature ladies and if i must i’ll try to do it myself. 😅

With my fanfic WIP, working series title: Nights In White Satin, this is very much a teensy bit a love letter to the film for me because it was the first film that really started my love for films that explore the human condition. There was something intriguing and almost real about the film that made it like something that could happen and i loved that so much. The world building is fantastic. And it had a great cast too! All the actors and characters in the movie i had loved before i really started paying attention to them and started simping. xD but with my oc Wendy, i really wanted to explore what could happen after the events of the film and possibly add real world problems and solutions and that’s where her and Elvis’s story goes through as they try to survive and fight for a future where humans don’t need to be hunted or hidden. 

So, out of all of my original WIPs The Innsmouth Bride comes in first when i think about working on them because i really have been putting in all the thoughts and brainworms into that one as mentioned above! :D

My other OG WIPs includes:

The Spring Man (working title): A story about the personification of Spring in a man living in a small village who must be buried into the ground before winter and the seasonal family he raises there. 

Untitled Seaside Creature Feature:  A sea creature turns human to explore the world above. Still in development but this wip holds a special place in my brain.  

The Moor/Teardrop (w. t.): A story about a small-town priest that went missing for five years and was found when he was a teenager and the girl he raises as a daughter after her mother had the same experience.

 The Stolen Child: A story that involves a mysterious creature that abducts children, a reserved man living with a haunted past, and the mother of a recently taken child that reaches out to him for help. 

The Undertaker’s Wife: & Other Short Stories: A potential short stories series if any of these ideas don’t pan out fully. 

Short Stories include:

The Undertaker’s Wife: A cautionary story in which a young man working at a funeral home, wishes back to life a woman he had hoped to be with, when she turns up on his silver table after a tragic accident. 

Young Turks: A typical 60s biker love story but with the girl as the biker. 

The Fox’s Huntress Bride: A story inspired by the aesthetics of the film The Green Knight. A prince goes missing, a huntress with nothing left to lose save for an animal companion, an old wives tale taboo, and a kingdom on the brink of war are all players in what i hope is to be a medieval fairytale. 

Cell: A thriller/mystery where a woman is kidnapped and held in the basement of a man who claims that her imprisonment isn’t for her own safety but the safety of others from her instead. 

 The Boxer: Based on a dream i had about a quiet young man coming to work as a boxer in an old gym for the owner to gain cash in return for housing. He meets a young woman who works there and they develop a relationship. 

Grandfather Jack: Currently an idea still being worked on. The story centers around a woman about to have her first child and her thinking about her father who went missing as she receives daily visits from a wild jackrabbit in her garden. 

No-Face: An idea for a story where a man without a face finds an abandoned child one night and raises her as his own all the while trying to solve a case and keep his true identity a secret.  

A Touch of Death: A horror/thriller/mystery about a detective woman with a troubling past and a serial killer that keeps trying to prove to her that he cannot be killed.

The Body (w.t.): A sci fi story about a nurse living with her android assistant in a rundown hospital on a ruined Earth. They receive unexpected cargo containing a cloned body of an elite social lite whose father had him made after a deadly accident and wishes to keep his son’s death a secret, as cloning is illegal throughout the galaxy only if used to prolong life.

An Untitled Sci Fi Story about a malfunction on a colony ship headed towards an earth like planet. A young passenger is awoken and with only an android for company; must figure out how to survive aboard. 

And finally, an Untitled Midnight Mass inspired Vampire WIP: A woman visiting from out of country falls prey to a dangerous creature and miraculously survives, but soon finds out that this creature won’t let her go so easily.  

It’s a lot of ideas but i’m really hopeful about some of them making it! Almost all of these i have already written out a bit in my google docs and every once in a while, i’ll revisit them and add more if i’m not daydreaming about it for too long. Oh yes. We form a good chunk of ourselves when we're young through observation. You grow up and you can see the ways in which you often mirror your parents, it's crazy.

I get that though. Somedays when I wanna read I get through like a few pages and I fall asleep. Or I'm just not in the mental space to read even though reading is my absolute fav thing to do. Maybe you'll find a better time to read if you wanted to, someday, y'know?

Ahhh okay this is a reminder to send pictures of your cats! One of them is a Persian-angora mix and the other is a lil tuxedo cat. They are lowkey enemies even though it's much better than it used to be but you're never gonna catch them becoming friends :((

And learning any musical instrument really.

i’m so glad we share that same love for the supernatural/paranormal. it’s just an endless pit of knowledge and intrigue. i can never get enough of it. oooo psychology is a good one. if i had taken one more psych course in undergrad i would’ve minored in psychology which is funny bc all i did was take those classes as electives bc i was interested in them. what’s your favorite interest in psychology? criminal psychology and abnormal psychology are two of mine 👁 and spiritually and space!!!!! yes i also love both of those as well. i used to be a huge space buff when i was younger ✨

playing an instrument takes so much dedication and motivation. two things i did not have growing up lmao i love that you bought a guitar but never played it. very big me energy djdkdkd i had to sell my keyboard bc of the same exact reason years ago. painting would be a dream to be talented in. any type of art actually, but yeah painting would be super cool. the power one holds with a paintbrush astonishes me sometimes ❤️‍🩹

my favorite gifset i've posted this year is definitely my "elvis + capt. marvel jr references" set not bc it's, like, my best set or anything, but simply bc it's like My Brand boiled down to a single gifset. i know i have a lot of interests but elvis (the man & the movie) and shazam are some of my biggest special interests so that set feels like a perfect representation of my faves. and i did really love getting to point out all the capt marvel references they made in elvis, it was a lot of fun. (now if only i could do a follow-up with fotg making elvis references. the movies are from the same studio, it's gotta happen!)

with fics, i felt like i was kinda lacking this year in terms of quality/quantity but i did enjoy some of the little caswen (hsmtmts) stuff i posted. the sneaky bunk sex one is my favorite.

what’s something you would like to create content for?

i really wish i could join my fellow elvis stans in writing imagines (for elvis, austin, or both) but i'm so uncomfortable writing in that format that i hardly ever do it. it's like i write them with myself in mind but i don't want to isolate my audience bc of that. yet the few imagines i've written in the past (for various fandoms) have gotten good responses, so idk. maybe i just gotta ignore my insecurities and write some freakin' imagines. there are a few ideas i've wanted to write for a little while now...

what’s something you’re currently obsessed with? 

idek i'm like between obsessions at the moment. i've kinda gotten involved in the santa clause fandom lately bc of the disney+ show (i've posted about it on my main) but idk if i'd call that an "obsession". maybe i'm just still holding onto elvis and shazam, at least for as long as i can until they probably become irrelevant (aka post-award season and post-dc reboot).

what’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year? 

my children's literature class. i thought i was gonna have a blast getting to read kids' books but i wound up getting stressed out over having to read multiple books a week (which was fine when it was picture books but not when it was novels). i did get to read some good books for the class but somehow i wound up liking the other class i took that semester, american government, more.

what’s a hidden talent of yours?

i think i'm a pretty good singer? idk if that's considered a "hidden" talent but i don't exactly like to sing in front of people (i only do it when home alone or in the shower) so i guess it is kinda hidden.

are you religious? 

nah. i like judaism from a cultural perspective but i don't really agree with a lot of their religious beliefs. (i mean, like, with god and the kosher stuff and specific holiday practices, etc.)
