while not everyone has specific triggers, it is crucial to recognize and respect the ones that do affect us. personally, I want to make it clear that I do not wish to engage in a roleplay that heavily focuses on negative mental health. topics like self-harm, suicide, or constant depression are not what I'm looking for in a roleplay, and are not what i feel is appropriate for a roleplay. i understand that for some, these themes may be a way to express their own mental health struggles, but please realize that it is not healthy to project those onto a partner who is not comfortable with that content. let's ensure our roleplay is enjoyable and respectful for both of us.

I think I would be a good wife for Jennifer Walters. I am not a lawyer myself, but I have them in my family, so I know what it's like to have a high-powered law job and would be an understanding and supportive wife. Also, I have dated multiple people with body dysphoria and have some myself, so at this point I feel like I could be reasonably supportive about her uncomfortableness with her Hulk body.

I would be an awesome buddy for Muriel. I don't know how I feel about romance or sex with the character because of how childlike she seems (although her and Eric being cute together in the RP gives me life, they're adorable), but I would have a lot of fun introducing her to things in the world and enjoying her experience of them. I really like experimenting things through other people's eyes :)

Justin Hammer and I would be only married on paper. It's a quickie marriage and transfer of assets when he realizes the Feds are going to seize his personal accounts. I was running his social media for him and pretended I was some kind of Anastasia Steele dipshit who got swept up in a "sudden romance" in court. (The official @JustinHammer Twitter reads like a parody, constantly mocking the Hammer Industries marketing campaigns with low-effort memes and posting lowercase ADHD rambles about junk food binges and Tony Stark's butt. It's incredibly popular.) However, I visit him once a week in prison and we become genuine friends.

I spend his money quietly stalking the Dazzler and seeking ways to activate the mutant gene in myself, which leads to a number of ill-advised stem cell treatments that leave the backs of my hands glowing blue and me with the ability to manipulate ytterbium. Once Justin gets out of prison, he legally adopts his prison boyfriend, who puts poison in my morning coffee.

6. Work I'm most proud of (and why): I'm going to cheat and pick a few:

ghost behind my eyes — at 10,143 words, it remains my longest self-contained one shot, and I'm really proud of the character work I did here. Christopher Smith and his character development are really important to me, and here's to hoping that will continue in Peacemaker season 2!

standing at a broken altar (asking if we feel relief) — represented a whole new creative venture for me, featuring characters I (at least at the time) had never written into fic before, and I'm someone who's... honestly pretty lapsed, religion-wise, and writing this made me think about faith, how it's questioned, tested, and found again, in a way I haven't in a while. That's a theme I'd like to explore more in future writing — and I'm planning to do more of this through Matt.

almost paradise — the story that's been a long time coming for me. Gamora is literally one of my favorite characters of all time, and to say I... did not handle Infinity War well is putting it very, very mildly; that movie came out not that extremely long after a big personal loss in my real life, so losing a character that dear to me at that time was something I took really hard. This is the first time I've actually acknowledged her death in a piece of writing, and I'm proud of myself that I did.

7. Work I'm least proud of (and why): none of them? I don't usually post something unless I feel pretty good about it.

8. Share or describe a favorite review you received:

cannot express how much this comment made my year. yes, I do. when women.

9. A time when writing was really, really hard: Honestly, my biggest challenge surrounding writing is just... working around my own chronic illness (which involves episodic fatigue) and mental health struggles. For one of those reasons or both at the same time, there were periods of the year that made writing more difficult than others. I'm working on incorporating smaller, more manageable writing goals during those periods so that I can still keep working without exhausting myself.

10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: I wasn't expecting Matt Murdock Slut Era to extend for as long as it did, and yet here we are.

11. A favorite excerpt of your writing: from almost paradise:

What he deserves, he thinks, is to be left here, alone with ghosts because that’s all he’s fit to provide company for — maybe until he becomes one himself. Because, yeah, if Ego had been telling the truth, for all his words had been worth, with the destruction of his planet, Peter can do that now. That might actually be better for everyone involved, because all he does, clearly, is pull people into a total shitstorm or get them killed. Sometimes both.

But people don’t ever really get what they deserve, do they? His mom, the kindest person the universe would probably ever know, hadn���t deserved to die from a tumor in her brain, put there by an evil man she’d chosen to give her huge heart to.

And he doesn’t deserve a hand reaching toward him, pulling him up from the floor.

12: How did you grow as a writer this year: My writing got a lot smuttier LMAO But it also just... reflected a "fuck it, we ball" type of attitude that I'd been slowly embracing. Inventing ships, writing whatever the fuck I want. I've grown a lot, and I feel really liberated.

13. How do you hope to grow next year: I hope to continue just... following my bliss. I've come a really long way in not caring as much about an invisible audience and just writing whatever I want, and I aim to keep doing that. I aim to keep believing in myself in that way and going the distance with my screwball ideas.

14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): Would like to thank the discographies of Massive Attack, CHVRCHES, and Taylor Swift for fueling my writing. Also anyone when I said "I'm gonna put these blorbos together" who said "do it".

15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: I mentioned it before, but almost paradise was written during a depressive episode and I've joked it was me flinging out all my unresolved grief issues onto the page instead of going to therapy in December (using, you know, one beloved character of mine grieving another beloved character's death as a proxy), so. yes.

16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: Don't write to cater to an audience; write to cater to yourself. If you love what you do, readers can see that love, and they'll believe in it, too. Readers are really good at telling what is and isn't genuine, so the best thing to do is just... be yourself.

17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: I have an existing WIP to finish, and a few more ideas in the can! Featuring: more Vigilmaker, more self-indulgent blorbo ships I invented (featuring either Matt Murdock or Rich Rider or both likely), and GOTG Vol 3 about to wreck my life, so of course I would imagine a good bulk of my writing this year will be related to it. This is all I'll say.

and why is that? i feel like i am beatrice, which, okay, sounds narcissistic, but i know what it's like to be let down by people i love. beatrice is treated so horribly by benedick. she's tricked into falling for a guy who doesn't take relationships seriously. her friends and family treat her like she's a joke, like her feelings don't matter. and she doesn't deserve that. before everyone tricks her, she's perfectly happy not being married and doing her own thing. and if… if she'd ended up alone, at least she'd be free. and you know what? she would've enjoyed every minute of that freedom.

debunking RP talking points: women as men’s muses.

If you have ever listened to Jordan Peterson and other RP youtubers, you will have probably heard about the concept that men have built civilisations, invented gadgets and gone to war for women; meaning women inspired them in one way or another to pursue the achievement of these feats. 

Now let’s start with the fact that men didn’t build civilization on their own, regardless of whether you think women contributed more or less is not the matter at hand; saying that 50% of the population built civilization all on their own is just an example of male hubris (arrogance). Same thing with inventions and discoveries, Isaac Newton said it best: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”, meaning we rely on the discoveries and inventions of others to propel us further (that is why I don’t believe in self-help or the self-made man/woman, but that is for another day). When it comes to wars, sure most people on combat units were men, but there were plenty of women-only brigades and military groups (snippers like Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko, The Night Witches) as well as nurses that took care of the soldiers in dangerous situations. Regardless, this is not the point. 

Saying that the men who have been great were inspired to be that way by women is an ego stroke for women that will put them back in the kitchen. What do I mean by this? Well, this idea puts women in the position of the muse and not the inventor, conqueror or builder, it conveys that the way for women to be great is to be the inspiration for great men to do their feats, and not to do the feats themselves. Effectively it is the “behind every great man there is a great woman”. regurgitated and plated in a new way to not offend modern sensibilities. Don’t get me wrong, it is rather flattering to think that these great men like Einstein, Nietzsche or Aristotle were inspired by women, but how true is this?

You will make sure: that my clothes and laundry are kept in good order; that I will receive my three meals regularly in my room; that my bedroom and study are kept neat, and especially that my desk is left for my use only. You will renounce all personal relations with me insofar as they are not completely necessary for social reasons. How can such misogynistic men be inspired by the women around them if they can’t even see them as equals? 

Here is the thing, men will argue that they build skyscrapers, create new technological devices and go to war for women so that women feel obligated to give back in the form of some sex and so that they are relegated to the positions of subservient muses. 

As far as I am concerned, men don’t have a pussy clause in their contracts, where they are promised women in exchange for work, inventions or fighting in wars. This is male entitlement. If a man ever tries to make you feel obligated to be intimate with him because he did a,b,c and d for the community, kindly remind him that he was getting paid with money, not pussy.

Now a little about me, I do work but on a part time basis, quick fire would be nice but I can’t always be here. So you may see me post more depending on what ideas I’ve got and what cravings I have. But with my time off you can guarantee I’ll be posting more! Just a heads up I’m looking for clean roleplays! So I’m looking for those of you who can use third person, past tense and lots of detail. I say this not to be mean but because I do consider myself to be advanced literate, I expect potential partners to be the same! I’m looking for oc (me) x male canon characters from the above movies but I will enclose further fandoms and movies with in the post! I use third and past tense and would be grateful if you do too! Please note I do have dyslexia. I’d love to get some aus going as well as some love triangles. Doubles are welcome! But please note ALL my roleplays are doubles. I will be prioritising those of you who don’t want to double and are happy to play canons. I’m just getting to a point where doubles feel transactional, I’d like to do something for myself where I can :).

I’m also craving Sherlock, A Court of Thorns and roses, Supernatural, My Life With the Walter Boys, Hunger Games (originals and prequel), GG at the moment as well! I’d honestly kill for someone to play Dean Winchester atm. I think he’s a really well written character and I have some ocs who may work with him. If there is a character in brackets I am looking for you to play him!

fala people, como vocês estão? passando aqui para perguntar, confabular, entender e rezar como estão os ânimos para jogos no twitter/x com uma possível extensão do ooc e envio de tasks/plotdrops pelo discord (chega de tomar block na dm). a ideia é que o jogo esteja ambientado em uma cidade onde todos se conhecem, ainda que não sejam amigos por completo. para ajudar na miscelânia dos grupos e nas conexões, algumas vagas pré-estabelecidas para trabalhar e atuar em setores da cidade estariam disponíveis para aplicação, além da liberdade, é claro, de trazer personagens de fora dessa bolha da cidade, que seriam poucos para não comprometer o plot. como se fosse uma mistura de ambientes entre virgin river, panic e my life with the walter boys, podendo ser ambientado na austrália ou no canadá — up to decisões num próximo step.
