Thinking about all the kids in PMDverse who don't have anywhere to go. I think most of them would team up with another kid, call themselves a rescue team, and see if they can get room and board at Wigglytuffs.

I mean, Chatot says they don't have time for kids and there are SO many mentions of Pokemon running away. But. We never see that.

I think a lot of kids don't have a choice and either scrape by or get into the wrong crowd.

In my verse I think itd be cool to have a few more Guild Teams especially to up the stakes in the Expedition Selection Arc.

Maybe even an entire B3 dedicated to "amateur" teams (see: children) to relieve the stress of constant orphanings.

(Just a simple doodle today, I've been busier than expected)

How does nicknaming work in the PMDverse? If you get a stupid nickname or you just don't like it, are you stuck with it or can you veto it? Had to go with my RTDX team here because every new teammate I found got a dumb nickname (except for Absol he gets to be the reasonable one in the group).

You know what I just remembered from Explorers? The fact baby Pokémon can start to fight in dungeons and talk from the day they hatch. So, what if the Hero had the body of essentially a newly hatched Pokémon? Maybe it was a boon from whatever forces decide to call upon a human or even a side affect. The Hero (whichever era’s one) kinda has to rely on their Partner for protection because their body is known to get exhausted easily.

It takes a long time for them to have the stamina to dungeon dive. An aspect that makes them master many applications of their low level moves to a terrifying degree. They learn more utility moves (Incinerate, Will’o’Wisp, Grass Knot, False Swipe) than the heavier hitting moves in the long run. Not many take them seriously due to them having a very young face. Partner sometimes slips up by baby talking them. Rescue!Hero especially gets a bad rep because the Ninetales legend states the bad human would be “reborn” as a Pokémon.

Super!Hero barely escaped being in Budew’s class because they are very mature for their physical age. (Aka they begged Nuzleaf not to put them in the quote on quote “class for toddlers”. Super!Hero had to literally show how advanced they actually are—math wise.)

Gates!Partner thinks that their Hero was from a bird Pokémon carrying an egg and hatched mid air. Thus, leaving Hero to free fall to where the two met.

Explorers!Hero ironically has it the easiest. When they manage to convince Chatot to accept their and Partner’s team, the two tend to have duties as normal. Though they are assigned more requests from town than normal—Chatot doesn’t want such a young team “leader” venturing too often in dungeons. Wild or not.

but also I like the idea of baby!hero

though I guess that wouldn't fit since it's just the body that they're in is newly hatched but with a more mature mind (but that is similar to how it is in super depending on how old you headcanon hero to be)

What’s Neoma’s backstory?

i can't go too much into the details because of spoilers but the gist of it is that one day as a young child she washed ashore on pelipper island as a unovan (called "deceptive" in my universe) zorua, and when she was found, it was clear that she was grieviously injured and wouldn't make it. the pelipper held a wake for her after her presumed passing, but during the vigil she woke up again, this time as a phanton (hisuian) zorua, freaking the fuck out of the pelipper because zorua/zoroark being able to reanimate* isn't a very well-known fact among the general public.

after everybody had calmed down they tried to ask about what happened to her, but she wouldn't budge on an answer, so they decided to not press on her for an answer since it was clearly very distressing. and since there was no way to find her family, the pelipper pretty much adopted her into their own, becoming a daughter to all of them. she was also recruited into their business when she was older and became the sole mail courier for crest town (the main setting for the first chunk of ttb).

*hisuian zorua work a little differently in my pmdverse since, due to the lack of humans, i can't rely on them reanimating due to hatred and spite against humans. all zorua are born as deceptive ones, and since aura is basically the life force of every living thing in my verse and pokemon depend on it for basic functionality, such as being able to use moves and different types, the ability for a zorua/zoroark to come back after their initial death is heavily dependent on the quality of their aura before their passing.

this means that zorua/zoroark who are elderly or had serious illnesses before passing are less likely to come back than a young zorua/zoroark who was fit and healthy and just died suddenly. this isn't a strict rule though, as it's not unheard of for elderly or ill ones to come back either, it's just a lit rarer. neoma is one of these exceptional cases herself, as she was very very sick as a child due to her egg being cracked (i mean that in a very literal sense this time and not just as a trans metaphor, even though the latter also happened with her) before she was born. it was a stroke of sheer luck that she was able to come back.

2. What's your favorite PMD game and why?

I'd probably have to say SMD! Even though it wasn't my first game, it's the one I've played the most and the one I have the strongest memories of!

4. What's your favorite PMD starter?

This one's a pretty hard one... Vulpix was the first PMD starter I ever got, I really enjoyed playing as Charmander and Treecko in RTDX and PSMD respectively, Totodile is my favorite starter in general, Cubone is my favorite Pokemon, Eevee has skyrockted way up my list because of Hope (the protagonist of my PMD fanfic), and Pokemon like Shinx, Axew, Riolu, Phanpy, and Meowth are all favorites... In the end I'd probably have to be a basic bitch and say Charmander - it's always been solid whenever I use it, and it's the hero in my PMDverse's RT and the partner in my PMDverse's SMD!

10. What starters would you add?

of course the Gen 7/8/9 starters and other newer gen Pokemon (Rockruff, Jangmo-o, Galarian Zigzagoon, Impidimp, Tinkatink, any of the Gen 9 doggies, to name just a few), of Gen 1-6 Pokemon, I would love to see Houndour, Bagon, Skiddo, Sandile, Aron, Mareep, Venipede, Sneasel (both Hisuian and Johtonian), Gligar, and Growlithe (both Hisuian and Kantonian) as starters!

So really random question but like, what do you think would happen if a legendary pokemon dies? Like straight up killed by another pokemon? What kind of…consequences could that bring?

3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?

Quinn identifies as an intersex lesbian and pretty much always has since she could really grasp the concept! I imagine that Atlas actually raised her relatively neutrally until she was like "Yeah I like she/her". I can't decide if she IDs as a girl on most days tho. She likes feminine terms and she/her pronouns but idk.

5. How did you figure out your oc's identity?

I think I had Quinn figured out a lesbian like... immediately, lol. Her being intersex came later because I decided I wanted an intersex character in the cast and it fit Quinn a lot, plus I wanted to make her a bilateral gynandromorph and that'd be a cool way to show that off!! (Definitely wanna hit more characters with the intersex beam rn though so some more will prop up)

6. How does your oc feel about labels? Theirs, or in general?

I'm not sure if my PMDverse really has all the same labels tbh? Like idk, I'm saying all the terms here for clarity but I don't know if a pikachu is saying the words "I am transgender". I like xenofiction that uses different terms for all that, it's fun. That being said... I don't really have any yet skldfsldflsdf.

All that said, boring answer, I don't really think Quinn uses labels.
