💜 LUMISPA demo💜 Helllooooooo all! This is probably the first time I'm putting up a video in my feed about my absolute favorite beauty gadget!!! Owning one was a game changer for me and my skin of course! My (Acne Prone) Skin Journey

Well, this is the first time I talk about my experience about skin health and beauty. Therefore, forgive me if there are many terms, ilmu atau pengertian yang kurang tepat. Karena materi yang aku sampaikan seadanya aja enggak berasal dari sekolah formal (obviously), tapi hanya dari internet dan literatur. So let’s begin!

My first skin problem ever, dimulai dari aku balita. Aku sedari kecil seneng banget makan sugary-food and I can’t live without dairy(*). That's why luka sekecil gigitan nyamuk aja sulit ilang. Berlanjut dengan bekas cacar, bekas luka dan kelak bekas jerawat juga ikut-ikutan membandel.

Then came puberty. On my 6th grade I had this long sweet relationship with the forehead pimples. They were​ so many they can even fulfill my forehead. Pertamanya dicuekin aja, karna “it won't be long” they said. K. Di saat anak-anak lain wajahnya mulus-mulus ceria aku sudah berhadapan dengan pasukan jerawat di jidat! Selain masalah kulit, this caused me emotional issues too.Then, after i have a patience for A YEAR akhirnya alhamdulillah aku difasilitasin sama Kakek, (the one who noticed me how miserable I was) untuk menyentuh ERHA Medication when I was 13 yo. I even consume roaccutane (not everyday), recommended by Dr. Dian my dermatologist there for at least a year. My skin went clearer, really smooth and healthy like it used to be. Then High School Life came, where I always ride on my DEA (Yamaha Mio) everywhere almost everyday without any sunscreen protected my face*. Those acnes, zits, pimples are back in more aggressive ways. My nose ended up had so much blackheads. Jerawatnya pun mulai nyerang daerah pipi. Disini sempet ngurus sendiri dulu, dengan produk-produk recommended by My Mom, yaitu :

1. Viva Air Mawar* (dituang ke kapas yang digunting kecil-kecil untuk merendam jerawat semalaman)

2. Viva Milk Cleanser*

3. Viva Face Tonic*

4. Cussons Baby Cream* (as moisturizer)

Ga pernah pake bedak, dan cuci muka pake apa aja yang dipake sama Ibu. Awalnya sempet membaik, tapi progresnya lambat banget. Then i decided go to dermatologist again. But this time at Vidiz Baniar (Antapani). In this phase I stop using Viva Products above and start using VB skin care products plus facial treatment routine cause they said my age are old enough for facial treatment. Di VB aku cuma berobat 6-8 bulan, karna aku ngerasa keluhan aku sudah terobati. Semenjak itu, jerawat muncul kalau mau haid aja. Jadi masalahnya hanya seputar hormonal.

Kuliah, wajah aku ga banyak berubah, agak settle. Karena produk yang aku pakai saat itu masih sama dari SMA, aku pake :

1. Verille Acne Facial Wash*,

2. Verille Acne Gel*,

3. Cussons Baby Cream*,

dan ocassionally aku pake bedak tabur dari Cussons* juga di wajah biar ga terlalu hinyai (re: oily). Kalo gak males, which is jarang, aku pakai sunscreen resepnya dr.Dian (Erha) yang bisa dibeli tanpa resep di apotek Medika Antapani. Around third semester, mulai deh kenal make up. Make up yang aku pake saat itu mostly la tulipe*, karna dikasih satu palet la tulipe sama Nenek yang notabene perias (kalau skrg MUA) dan punya banyak palet yg masih mulus tapi kadaluarsanya tinggal 1-2tahun, which is gak baru, dan gak dipakai lagi untuk kliennya.

Acne scars yang ga pernah aku rawat jadi mulai menumpuk, dan aku (bodohnya) seneng banget ketika kenal Wardah Creamy Foundation Extra Coverage shade Beige*. Karna dia bisa ‘nutupin’ semua flaws di seluruh wajah aku. Saking senengnya, produk ini jadi daily basis, padahal (now I know) it’s too heavy. Keenakan pake make up, ngerasa ‘udah’ flawless aku jadi ga peduli sama kesehatan kulit wajah aku*. Akibatnya timbullah masalah masalah baru, uneven skin tone, large pores, more pimples, dan super oily skin. Betapa pintarnya :( Around 4th - 5th semester I began to search skin care yang bisa sembuhin semua masalah kulit aku. Sampai sekarang, belum nemu tuh The Most Ideal Skin Care for me. Karna obviously my skin concerns are way too much. Yaaas. There are still a few products that satisfied me tho.*

Sedikit cerita, sedari SMA aku terbiasa dengan uang jajan minimalis, cukup untuk bensin si DEA (setengah karna dibagi berdua) dan makan 1 porsi seharinya. Jadi untuk urusan beli-beli skincare yang diluar biaya dari ortu alias diluar dokter kulit, aku cari tambahan uang jajan sendiri. That’s why produk-produk yang aku pake dan insyaallah akan aku review nantinya adalah produk-produk yang sangat affordable! or at least worth to buy with my own savings.
