Mystery Flesh Pit National Park oc!

He is Alejandro, a commercial technical miner, he is deaf, he is known as someone extroverted and strange, he likes to eat parts of the park out of mere curiosity, he suffered an accident during some excavations, leaving multiple wounds on his arms and face due to the acids of the creature.

If you have the stomach for uh... Let's call it "Cosmic horror on a Lovecractian scale, deeply unpleasant descriptions of bodily functions, macroscale parasites, and gore" the Mystery Flesh Pit is an excellent look at environmental world building. And an almost too casual and familiar horror that feels grounded and fantastical. All at once.

If it wasn't so viscerally unpleasant I'd be impressed.

Not a single damn direct source or text. Everything is brochures, posters, advertisements, letters, warning signs, sound samples of broadcast messages, and government reports. All fashioned like this abomination of a thing is legitimately a national park in Texas (Because of course it's in Texas).

Also a very good and believable example of the Hubris Of Man, because I can %100 believe people would actually do this if it was real.

Which it is not by the way. Do not be fooled.

It is just.... If you'll forgive the pun, very well fleshed out fiction.

Naturally, there are other less... Gory ARGs that you could also look at with pretty neat world building, but they're usually really cryptic. Mystery Flesh Pit is almost... Too honest in it's descriptions of all the terrible things in this inexplicable national park.

Does anyone have a link to a documentary style YouTube video about the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park arg, it had a feminine ai generated voice and included a how to prepare and eat parts of the organism, a safety and self defense guide, keeping it as a pet, and what all the species thag grow from it are. It had some little video clips on it and a ton of informations graphics. I've been looking for it all day and I know I watched it a few months ago, thanks!
