This is most likely fake, as I can not find any confirmation except the wiki, but I do do want to bring this to your attention.
This is what I saw on the official Mythomagic inc wiki page
Tumblr media
I'm sorry??? What do you mean "Magnus Chase films"??? Is this real??? Did I miss something???
So I checked the page itself and uh,
Tumblr media
It has a disclaimer saying it is most likely fake, but I would like to know where they got all the other info then? Such as it supposedly coming out on Hulu and produced by... Warner Bros?
If y'all know about any article or post where this is derived from, I'd love to see it.

This post is as of May 15th, 2022. All posts like this will be under “#what we know so far” on this blog.
What We Know
General
It will be a live action series on Disney+
Rick Riordan and Becky Riordan are heavily part of the process, including overseeing the series with their production company, Mythomagic, Inc. and as members of the writers’ room.
Season 1 will cover book 1 and will be 8 episodes.
Production starts June 1st, 2022, and will end January 25th, 2023
Currently optimistically planned to be released in 2023.
Casting
Percy Jackson will be played by 13-year-old Walker Scobell
Annabeth Chase will be played by 12-year-old Leah Sava Jeffries
Grover Underwood will be played by 16-year-old Aryan Simhadri
Walker, Leah, and Aryan are already in Vancouver and are working on their swordplay, stunts, and “fine-tuning their knowledge of Greek mythology and their characters.”
Casting calls have gone out for other characters that appear in the first book, but these are closed calls so only those with agents could audition.
Casting for characters that show up in later books, such as Nico, or later series, such as Heroes of Olympus, wont happen for a very long time
Production
Executive Producers: Rick Riordan, Becky Riordan, Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz
Pilot Director: James Bobin, who will also direct the second episode
Jet Wilkinson and Anders Engstrom have also signed on to direct.
Production Designer: Dan Hennah
Costume designer: Tish Monaghan
The show will be filmed at Mammoth Studios in Vancouver
They plan to use a similar filming process to The Mandalorian (Industrial Light and Magic’s “Volume” stage: 360-degree virtual technology) (video on how it works).
They have been scouting for filming locations over the past few months.
The Writers’ Room
Writers: Daphne Olive, Monica Owusu-Breen, Joe Tracz, and Rick Riordan and Becky Riordan
Assistants: Xavier Stiles, Zoë Neary and Stewart Strandberg
Scripts for episodes 1-4 have been submitted.
Working on outlines/scripts for the rest of the season.
Season 1 follows book 1 but they’re “adding a lot of interesting nuances, depth, Easter eggs and backstory” to keep the story fresh and fun for those who know the books well.
Until the next post like this (aka, when there has been enough new information to make a whole new post), I will be posting updates of what news and little tidbits of information we get as they happen. Follow here and/or on Twitter.

The Percy Jackson TV Show: What We Know and What We Can Expect
This post is as of December 31st, 2020. All posts like this will be under “#what we know so far” on this blog.
What We Know
From the last post:
The show will be on Disney+ and live action.
Season 1 will cover book 1, The Lightning Thief.
Rick Riordan and Becky Riordan are heavily part of the process and will be for every step of the way.
There have been no castings, no auditions, and no casting calls. However, it does seem that when the time comes, they will be looking for child actors that are the right ages for the characters.
Changes are being made based on what “were not good decisions or have not aged well” in The Lightning Thief.
They plan to have a lot of representation.
Since the last post:
The series is being overseen by Mythomagic, Inc., Rick and Becky Riordan’s production company.
Rick and Becky are helping to write the script, and they completed and submitted the first draft of the pilot episode to the studio executives, which they loved and gave some notes on.
Just before the winter holidays, they submitted a revised version the pilot script.
Once the pilot is approved, then the show can be officially green-lit and the pre-production process can begin
Rick’s most optimistic guess for when the series will air is 2022
Disney+ will be available worldwide by the time the show is released
The current logo for the show, revealed at the 2020 Disney Investor Day:

What We Can Expect/Predict
Since most original Disney+ shows fall in the 6-10 episode range per season, we can estimate a similar number for Percy Jackson.
Budget wise, Disney+ has shelled out $15 million to $25 million per episode for shows like The Mandalorian and the upcoming MCU shows. This is about the budget of the episodes for the final season of Game of Thrones. While we don’t know the amount they will give for Percy Jackson, this can put into perspective possible budget options, as well as the way this budget translates to things such as sets and levels of special effects in the final product. Also, since rumors are flying around about the budget, I just want to clarify that these are just rumors and they don’t have an official budget yet as it is too early for that, as clarified by Becky Riordan.
A more faithful adaptation than the movies. No matter how it turns out, it should be more in-line with the books considering that the author is on board (when he wasn’t with the movies) and the fact that they seem to be taking the fans’ opinions into consideration.
It is still very early in the process. Until the next post like this (aka, when there has been enough new information to make a whole new post), I will be posting updates of what news and little tidbits of information we get as they happen. And I am always open to asks, if you have any questions. Happy New Year!

I don't know if there's as much information of this yet as there is for the PJO show, but once we get news about the Jane Chronicles Netflix movies, will you also cover that?
(also everytime I see new updates from your blog it makes me happy, thanks for keeping me updated!)
Thank you! I’m glad you like my blog <3
As far as updates for the Netflix adaptation of The Kane Chronicles, I will not cover that. Since the two projects are developing around the same time, I worry about it becoming too much for me to keep up with. While things are quiet/slow at the moment, I know from experience (I ran a news blog for another tv show adaptation of a book series) that things can get really hectic, especially around events such as Comic-Con. Of course, how hectic does vary depending on how much is shared, but I don’t want to over-commit myself considering it is just me trying to keep up with everything. That being said, if I see any good news blogs pop up for the Netflix adaptation, I’ll be sure to give them a shout-out on my blog so you know who to follow.
But, since things are slow right now and I don’t currently know of any blogs for those movies, I’ll share what I do know at this point:
They had been working on the deal with Netflix since October 2019, which is about the same time they started working on the deal with Disney+ for PJO.
Just like the PJO adaptation on Disney+, the Netflix adaptation of TKC is being overseen by Mythomagic, Inc., a production company founded by Rick and Becky Riordan.
Rick and Becky Riordan are also producers on both projects.
The films will be live-action.
While Rick and Becky are helping to write the PJO script, they are not writing the script for TKC. They have a screenwriter based in London who is fulfilling that task.
The first draft of the script was completed and they had a notes meeting. Rick and Becky both really liked the script. They will meet again in the new year to talk through more notes and script revisions.
The reason Netflix got the rights is simply because they were interested (my guess is that Disney didn’t want to look into buying the adaptation rights to Rick’s other series until they saw how well their PJO adaptation would do).
The creative executive at Netflix was interested because she is a fan of the books and really knows them.
As I stated in a previous post, because the rights to these two series are now owned by different companies, there won’t be an adaption of the crossover stories. They actually had to freeze the adaptation rights to “Demigods & Magicians” so there wouldn’t be any confusion over who has the rights to what.
And that’s about it for now. The best place to check for news until there are more blogs would be Rick Riordan’s Twitter and Becky Riordan’s Twitter, and also Rick’s blog.
