চলুন ঘুরে আসি সপ্তম শতাব্দীর প্রাচীন অজন্তা গুহাসমূহ থেকে।

বাঙালী, পৃথিবীর মধ্যে অদ্ভুত থেকে অদ্ভুততর এই জাতির মূল বিশেষত্ব হল তার রুচিবোধ এবং তার দর্শণবোধ। এই বাঙালীরা প্রধাণত সচেষ্ট থাকে তাদের দৈনিক দিনপঞ্জী তালিকায় কিছু না কিছু জ্ঞান আরোহনের। তাই তারা বছরের প্রায় বেশিরভাগ সময়েই বেরিয়ে পড়ে অচেনাকে চিনতে আর অজানাকে জানতে। এই তালিকায় প্রথমেই অংশ নিতে পারে নির্দিদ্ধায় অজন্তার গুহাচিত্র। প্রায় খ্রিষ্ট পূর্ব ২০০ থেকে খ্রিষ্টোত্তর ৬৫০ অর্থাৎ প্রায় ৮৫০ বছরের ব্যবধানে তৈরী হয় এই নান্দনিক গুহাচিত্র ও ভাস্কর্য।

এটি নির্মিত হয় সহ্যাদ্রি পর্বতে বাকাতক রাজাদের কালে। ২০০ বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু, শিল্পী, ভাস্কর ও শ্রমিকের শ্রমে ইন্দ্রিয়াদি পাহাড়ের ঢালে ফুলের মালা হয়ে দুরারোহ খাড়া আগ্নেয়গিরিময় পাহাড় ( ২৭৫ মি ) কেটে তৈরী করা হয় এই ভাস্কর্য। রূপ তার অর্ধচন্দ্রাকৃতি অশ্বক্ষুরের মতো। মোট ২৯ টি ভাস্কর্য খচিত গুহা আছে এখানে। মধ্যেভাগে হীনযান গ্রুপের তত্বাবধানে এখানে মোট ৫ টি ও মহাযান গ্রুপের তত্বাবধানে বাকি ২৪ টি গুহাচিত্র নির্মাণ করা হয় এই  অজন্তায়। হীনযান গ্রুপের বৈশিষ্ট্য হল এদের গুহায় কোনো বুদ্ধমূর্তি নেই বরং বুদ্ধের প্রতীক আছে পরতে পরতে। দিনের প্রতিটি ক্ষণে সূর্য তার আলোকমালার বিচ্ছুরণ ঘটাচ্ছে এই গুহার সামনে। তবুও ঊষাকালে এবং দিনের প্রথমার্ধেই অজন্তা বেশি স্নিগ্ধরূপে সেজে ওঠে পাহাড়ি বাঘোরা নদীর ওপরে। এই গুহাগুলির বিশেষত্ব হল ২৪ টি গুহা ২৪ ধরনের শিল্পকলা ফুটিয়ে তোলে।

আর দেরি না করে এবারে বেরিয়ে পড়ুন তাহলে অজন্তার পথে অজানাকে জানতে।

The Municipality of #Horsens has acquired a special #tourist attraction of great cultural and historic value. The 13.4 meter tall steel grid bridge from 1899 that was built across the #Gudenå creek as part of the private railway from Horsens to #Bryrup. It was hidden in 1925 within a dam structure but once again discovered during preparations of a plan of action favoring the aquatic environment in 2013. When the privately owned, narrow-gauge railway bridge was constructed in 1899, it led across the broad and roaring Gudenå. At its time it was the tallest steel grid bridge in #Scandinavia. The project was done by the construction firm Hoffman, Hansen & Co. The bridge cost a neat total of 30.000 Dkr (4.388 USD) and was inaugurated on Saturday 22nd of April, 1899. The trip between Horsens and Bryrup was an attraction. For 1.65 Dkr (0.25 USD) you could travel 3. class on ’Denmark’s most beautiful railway’. It’s hard to believe almost 4 years ago I set a pretty big personal goal.  I wanted to visit all 50 states before I turned 50.  Well, I am so happy to report that I have crossed the  “50 States Visited” goal off my list.

Himmelbjerget ("The Sky Mountain" or "The Mountain of Heaven") is a hill located between Ry and Silkeborg, Denmark in the area known as Søhøjlandet. With a height of 147 m (482 ft), Himmelbjerget is one of the highest natural points in the Danish landscape. The hill and surrounding area has been a center for various gatherings and celebrations for more than 200 years and in 1875, a red brick tower was erected at the top. #thehistory Himmelbjerget grew to fame in Denmark during the 19th century, as people gathered here to admire the magnificent views and celebrate the birth of the Danish nation. On top of the hill is a 25.1 m tall tower, that was erected in 1875 to honour King Frederik VII and his role in giving the Danish people the country's first constitution in 1849, thereby ending the preceding era of absolute monarchy.[2] Close to the top are more monuments, most honouring individuals, but also one to commemorate women's right to vote in 1915. In those days, several steamboats began ferrying visitors back and forth to Himmelbjerget, from various destinations across Julsø and The Silkeborg Lakes. বাংলার বেশ কিছু পর্যটন কেন্দ্রের মধ্যে বর্তমানে এক উল্লেখয্যোগ্য জায়গা কেড়ে নিয়েছে প্রায় ৬০০ বছরের পুরোনো ঐতিহাসিক কার্পেটে মোড়া পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের নাড়াজোল রাজবাড়ি। কথিত আছে, রাজা উদয় নারায়ণ একবার শিকারে গিয়ে জঙ্গলে আশ্রয় নেন এবং তখন তিনি দেবী দশভুজার স্বপ্নাদেশ পান ওখানে মন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য। এরপর বলাই বাহুল্য যে, উনি ওখানেই একটি মন্দির স্থাপন করেন। এরপর ধীরে ধীরে কালের নিয়মে ওই মন্দিরকে ঘিরে তৈরী হয় ওখানে লোকবসতি।

এরপরে ওখানে নারায়ণ বংশধরেরা তৈরী করেন এই নাড়াজোল রাজবাড়ি যা কি না, বর্তমানে একটি হেরিটেজ প্রপার্টিতে পরিণত হয়েছে। ব্রিটিশ পিরিয়ডের আগে তৈরী রাজবাড়ি স্বাধীনতার ইতিহাসেও একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য ছাপ রাখে। ১৯৩৮ সালে সুভাষচন্দ্র বসু একটি বক্তৃতা দেন গ্রাম্য জীবনে স্বাধীনতার ছাপ রাখতে।

২০০৮ সালে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার এই রাজবাড়িকে হেরিটেজ প্রপার্টি হিসেবে ঘোষণা করার পর পরই বলা যায়, এর মূল্যবৃদ্ধি হয় ভ্রমণপ্রিয় বাঙালির ভ্রমণের খাদ্য তালিকায়। সম্প্রতি “সত্যদার কোচিং” নামে একটি  বিখ্যাত শর্টফিল্মের শুটিং হয়েছে এই রাজবাড়িতে। এখানে শুধুই রাজবাড়ি দেখতে পাবেন এমনটা নয়। এখানে রয়েছে, প্রায় ৪৫০ বছরের পুরোনো ৫৪ টি নয়নাভিরাম মন্দির। এছাড়াও, ৩৬০ বিঘা জমির ওপরে এই অঞ্চলটি অবস্থিত এবং লঙ্কা��ড়ে ২৫০ টি ঘরের তিনতলার একটি হাওয়া মহল আছে ৬০ বিঘা জমির ওপর একটি পরিখা দিয়ে ঘেরা যার নাম জলহারি।

ভ্রমণ এবং খাবারের জনক বাঙালিরা শীতে সবর্দাই বেরিয়ে পড়ে অজানাকে জানতে আর অচেনাকে চিনতে। বেশিরভাগ সময়েই দূরের হাতছানিকে উপেক্ষা করা যায় না। কিন্তু, কাছে ধারে এরকম লোভনীয় এবং কম খরচের মধ্যে শীতের দুটি রোমাঞ্চকর রাত এখানে অনায়াসে কাটানোই যায়। এককথায় ইতিহাস প্রিয় বাঙালির এখানে গিয়ে একটু রোমাঞ্চকর অভিজ্ঞতা সঞ্চয় করা উচিত। অতএব, এই শীতে সপ্তাহান্তে আপনার ব্যাগ প্যাক করে নিয়ে বেরিয়ে আসুন পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুরের এই নাড়াজোল রাজবাড়িতে দুই রোমাঞ্চকর রাত কাটানোর জন্য।

কিভাবে যাবেন – হাওড়া থেকে যে কোনো মেদিনীপুরগামী ট্রেনে চেপে বসুন এবং মেদিনীপুর স্টেশনে নেমে কেশপুরগামী গাড়িতে চেপে কিছুদূরে গেলেই আপনি পৌঁছে যাবেন কেশপুর – দাশপুর রোডের ধারে অবস্থিত এই নাড়াজোল রাজবাড়িতে।
