my take on an older tails design!

random things:

- the right side of his body is pretty fucked up due to being caught in an explosion while fighting eggman

- got benched for a bit due to sonic going protective big brother mode but he went behind his back several times to help out with things. he is no longer benched

- in his preteen years, he acted more like sonic but once his teen years hit, he crashed (saving the world and being in constant danger since you were a toddler does crazy things to your mental health)

- still helps out with the restoration from time to time, but prefers to do his own thing

- a little more on the morally gray side of things. he still follows a lot of sonic’s principles but will go against them if necessary (does not always follow that “everyone deserves a chance to change” mentality….)

- still gets treated like the baby of the group. hates it

- inherited sonic’s stubbornness when it comes to injuries and will push past his body’s limits (rip his leg)

- facial expressions and explaining how he feels are both hard for him (im projecting)

- also inherited sonic’s need to bottle everything up

It's sad how DBH often sacrifices the android self-awareness in prol of the "becoming human" aspect and i ain't talking metaphorically but the actual practice in how they often wanna say androids are exactly like humans but it ain't the truth at all.

Androids got different needs, different povs of the world, different interests, different body systems, different impacts in society and it's like rejecting this this 1:1 "equiparation" and embracing being an android is a very bad thing cuz being an android automatically translates to the lack of free will, the lack of self and the need of a master and 'em purpose - in this case being literally a code in the program dictating it.

Markus rebellion is fighting to kinda change it but people still can't see the way it is, they feel the need of comparing and bringing to the "human" box, something that won't really work exactly how they think cuz androids are different, and being different shouldn't be an issue - that's the entire point.
