LOL not much of this one either, god im so annoying audhasul anyway they're My ages - aged up slightly but not like as much as andor did for cassian - cassian is 28 and jyn is 25 so she's turning 26 here. I was on my kyber bullshit writing this lol.

"26," he says, lips quirking at the corners like he knows something she doesn't (which isn't uncommon). She stretches in their bunk, sleep fading fast as she runs the sole of her foot against the soft hair on his calf. He runs his fingers through her fringe, pushing it out of her eyes like he wants a clearer view of her. "What an age."

"How do you even remember it, old man?" His other hand presses against her chest where Lyra's kyber beats like a second heart, and she arches a little into his touch, closing her eyes.

"A little too well," he says with a grimace.

A shock of cool against her collarbone - the steady buzzing of his blue kyber, hanging from where he's leaning over her. Jyn opens her eyes again just before he kisses her, warm and lingering like the calloused trigger finger sliding down to her hip, melting into something with promise. Cassian squeezes her waist, wraps both arms around her and pulls her closer still. Her hands grasp at his shoulders and comb through his hair as it starts to curl with sweat behind his ears.

"That's just the photographic memory."

He grins. "How do you feel?"

"Like I want you to get on with it," she says.

He flops beside her. She misses the weight of him on her immediately. "Jyn."

"Cass," Jyn adds. "I feel the same as yesterday." He pinches her thigh.

"Some years feel different," he says. "Some feel like more."

the acting!! especially Diego's but holy shit, everyone is giving us the performance of a lifetime, it's amazing!

I really like the darker, more mature tone, and the fact that they're addressing some serious real-life issues. it feels very grounded in reality, which is a nice deviation from most other SW media

I love all the callback to Rogue One! the Wobani, the Scarif, the Kafrene mentions, the callbacks to some of Cassian's quotes, some of the Rebelcaptain parallels, etc etc... it makes it so exciting to watch to see what else they're gonna sneak in there

3 for the ask game!

So, what would you say if I told you that my DnD world/campaigns were ideas from when I was little? I was really big into making characters when I was little, and obsessed with the moon and fantasy as I was, I came up with moon elves. I imagined a world where they lived, and all the fun things they do. Then, when I visited an aquarium for the first time, I was introduced to the real concept of mermaids. Like, no the Disney kind, but the actual theory of real life mermaids existing. I combined the notion with the moon elves.

Well, to make a long story short, two of my very first dnd characters came from this concept of thr world I had imagined! I was unsatisfied in the end with how their respective campaigns ended, so I inserted them into my own world, and began creating actual lore for a dnd campaign!

The moon elf’s name is Naivara Gala’nodel, and the water genasi’s name is Puddles. Just Puddles, though now he is known as Lord Puddles, husband to The Horned King Akmenos, The Great Infernal One of New Cania.

Answers are long so...

1.what is your favorite color to work with? A dark grey or blue or a combination of the two. Since I tend to choose cool colors, both the grey and blue usually work well for line work. 7. do you prefer sketching, outlining, or coloring? I definitely prefer sketching. There's this urgency I feel when sketching as if it's this need to let my idea bleed onto a canvas (paper, digital, w/e). Coloring is fun, but I rarely do it with the intention of finishing, and I very very rarely outline my work. If the sketch isn't good enough then I try again or move on.

8. show us at least 2-3 drawings from 1-2 years ago. These are from 2 years ago, I think.

18. how long have you been drawing/ when did you officially “declare” yourself as an artist? I usually say I've been drawing since I was 5 years old because that's when I started preschool and for sure I had been drawing/painting stuff by then. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't really declare myself to be an artist until I was in my late teens/early 20s? Up until that point, I was still calling it a hobby. I had gone to a National Portfolio Day* event, not because I thought I was going to be able to afford going to an art college, but I wanted to hear critiques of my art from strangers/professionals. There was one person, and I remember this clearly, that looked me in the eyes, held my gaze, and said "you're an artist." It wasn't a question. Like it was a matter of fact. I probably tried to downplay it because I'm self-deprecating, but I'll never forget that moment.

*National Portfolio Day is an event in the U.S. where representatives from art schools across the country gather and review student portfolios. It's mostly an art school recruitment type of thing, so like.... if you go and have some schools you were considering, if a representative is present you could have them review your work before taking the time and money to apply. It was a good way to find out if your skills are up to par with what they look for with incoming students. I think these days there are digital platforms they use to do the same, so you don't have to go in person BUT going in person was a new experience for me so I mean... if that's your thing and a NPD is nearby, why not?

the writing. it's tight and crisp and purposeful

actual lesbians in love and it's not a .2 second kiss (SOOOOOOOOOO GRACIOUSLY GIVEN THAT WE MUST POINT IT OUT IN CLICKBAIT ARTICLES EVEN THOUGH IT SUCKS) and they're built up with STORY ARCS and are ACTUAL PEOPLE and shown to have different reasons and purposes for fighting but they're IN LOVE YOUR HONOR (granted, they're in Star Wars love, which means if you're not Han and Leia, at least one of you is gonna die and i am not prepared)

acting!!!! the cast all deserve egots. give them every fucking award. diego especially.

Personal History (Age of Calamity):

Naivara has no memory of her early childhood due to an encounter with a spellcaster who wiped it as punishment for stealing something important. She daydreamed of riches that would allow her to live well. She was captured during a heist one night, and the lord who caught her, a Shiekah named Sheezrar Faenorin, took pity on her and chose to let her live in his manor. They fell in love, married, and had five children. Naivara lost this image of happiness, however, when the Faenorin manor was razed, Sheezrar was murdered, and the youngest child went missing, presumed dead. The other four children were scattered, unable to stay together. Naivara has since gone underground, using her skill as a rogue to find her vengeance.

Do you have a favourite film soundtrack?

A favourite? One? I have lots! But I think if I absolutely had to pick one, it would be How to Train your Dragon, it's one of my favourites for focus and writing

What does your dream home look like?

I mean, right now my greatest aspiration is my own bedroom with a door that locks. But eventually I'd like a nice kitchen with a convection oven and plenty of storage space, and a guest room.

What character archetype or trope is your favourite?

Recently I've been feeling weirdly fond of the manic pixie dream girl type, I've been developing this OC for a novel I want to write someday who kinda almost fits the bill but in reverse so I've been thinking about it recently.

2. Show your pencilcase and what’s inside. My pencil case is another room, but here is a pencil jar filled with watercolor pencils, pens, a mechanical pencil, paintbrush, and three fillable water brushes. There’s also a Tide-stick in there for some reason.

8. Redraw one favorite piece of art by other (internet/tumblr) artist. For the sake of answering this in a timely manner, I didn’t fill in color but here is a sketch of a zutara work by @paintedfirelady [ referenced art in here ]

13. Least favorite thing to draw? Buildings and other architectural subjects. Not that I hate it, but it’s hard for me to do art that requires a lot of straight lines and hard edges (I know you don’t need to draw buildings and the like with straight lines only). It’s just hard so I avoid it.

15. Any weird artist behavior you admit doing? I don’t know if this is 1) weird or 2) an artist behavior, but I need to have a clean area before I start drawing. If my desk doesn’t have an open space, I won’t draw there so I’ll go use the dining table. If I can’t get to the dining table for some reason, my bed needs to be made or blankets folded in a corner so I can sit and draw.

Favorite hobbies... I'm playing tennis again, and I really enjoy ACNH, walking in state parks, kayaking, writing, reading, creating, and hooking rugs. I can bake pretty well, too!!!

favorite band or singer... Fall Out Boy for the band. (yeah, yeah, I was 16 and loved them, and they're still my comfort band). For the singer, probably Billy Joel.
