As seconds turned into minutes you almost convinced yourself that you had in fact safely evaded a confrontation with the ghouls, that you could safely slink through the shadows and retract your steps until you returned to the confines of the CCG office.

However, hope was a fickle thing, one that was often stolen away just as easily as it was given.

You had just been stupid enough to trick yourself into thinking otherwise.

If the low chuckle echoing around the alley hadn't made it clear enough, the sharp click of a finger being cracked certainly did.

You knew who he was before you saw him, after all, it hadn't been long since you last met, perhaps that was why you found yourself desperately clutching onto your briefcase as the rhythmic thump of his steps grew louder.

"We know who you are, so you might as well come out now."

The sound of his excitable voice was enough to have you quickly fish out your Quinque with shaking hands, however, in your haste to gather your weapon you failed to notice the ghoul in a white suit now standing before you.

He didn't hesitate to summon his Kagune as he spoke, with the blue spike coming to a stop right in front of the junction between your collarbones.

"I really didn't think a human would be stupid enough to fight a ghoul twice but you're full of surprises, aren't you?"

You couldn't help but grumble at his sarcasm but were quick to go into an attack.

You should have known the way you knocked your Quinque against his Kagune wouldn't do much harm, but in your panicked state you couldn't help but go for whatever option you had.

Unfortunately, Naki was all but unfazed by your hit and was quick to pull you back to the end of the alley, this time with his normal hand wrapped around your neck.

He barked out a loud laugh as he shoved you up against the wall, with the sudden pain from the concrete and lack of oxygen making your head spin.

"Did you really think you could outrun me?"

Yet another laugh tumbled from his lips as Naki walked a step closer, tilting his head to look at you with a menacing stare.

However, something in his gaze seemed to shift the second your eyes locked with his.

"I was going to eat you but maybe- maybe I could keep you instead?"

He nodded along to his own words, with his grip on your neck subconsciously loosening at his thoughts.

Dying honourably on the battlefield was one thing, but being taken by a ghoul and reduced to a mere thing to own was not only embarrassing and outrageous but also stood against all of your beliefs.

The prospect of being condemned to anything but death almost seemed to jumpstart your mind, causing you to finally do something but just stand there aimlessly and allow yourself to be choked to death.

A loud yelp echoed around the alleyway as you raised your foot and aimed a kick at Naki's leg with all the power you could muster.

It wasn't much, but your little attack allowed you a moment to finally breathe without restriction and desperately scramble to once again clutch your Quinque.

You couldn't win in a fight against him, both of you knew that, but for once fate seemed to be in your favour as the loud booming sound o sirens echoed around the alley.

"We're not supposed to cause a scene-"

Naki backed away as he said the words, with one of his hands reaching up to run through his hair while he wordlessly jumped onto a dumpster near the front of the alley and then the roof of the building beside you.

It was only when he had gotten to a safe space away from the roads that Naki finally turned back to you with a wide smile, one that unsettled you a lot more than you would have liked.

He disappeared after that, with his white suit leaving your line of sight just as a familiar black car pulled up to the front of the alley, with your partner's face poking out from the driver's seat.

You let out a small sigh at the question, leaning back into the alley wall as you tried to rid yourself of the image of the notorious blond ghoul and ignore your thoughts about meeting him again.

I can see y’all meeting in the middle of the night while he’s on the run. The scenario is up to you but y’all are on each other’s minds until you find each other again.

He’s extremely careful with everything. All of your dates are meticulously planned so that there’s no chance of people recognizing either of you and getting suspicious.

oh BOY we are here for a fun ride :)

1. Favorite thing about them

that is a rather complicated question since it's so open... hm, lets go about what i like about their character

bazz, his passion, i love that fire he has in his heart, so bright you can see it shine in his eyes, in everything he does.. passionate people are the ones i love to hear the most about, their engagement and enthusiasm always inspires me even if i dont relate, you can tell im a person of love haha, its my most important value and he has no shame in showing that, he always smiles and have that confidence, and still feel like a relatable character, down to earth, and i really love that

jugram is a little harder to love given his... cold persona (no being hot wont count here) but there is something that makes me fall for him and its his unconditional love... he isnt really open about the concept of love, and he very much has his own interpretation of it, where he keeps hiding what it truly holds even to himself... while i dont like how he denies it, he never killed it, he never killed that flame in his heart even if it means it would hurt him in the future... his love for bazz is just beautiful to me, to love someone for all the goods and bad, from the past to the future, to love even if the ideas dont collide with yours... he cant let go bc he genuinely feels love, and im glad he kept it and accepted it despite it all

was that too fanon or vague ?? im probably talking to myself or i talk as if the person heard all my interpretation of these two... very specific, so i dont blame you if you dont get it

tbh there is so much to love, their story, their personality, their contrast, their relationship, their struggles etc etc, its just, SO much and its all so good..

2. Least favorite thing about them

ahh, i always try to see "what went wrong" with these two... while there is a lot of mistake there and there, which are human or misunderstandings, there is one thing that... kind of upsets me, its this

i know what you're going to say, naki you're not supposed to take it literally, but i think it is... the more i read it, the more it makes sense with how they acted in their separation, but has humans, its so.. out of touch... like, oh yeah, never talk about your traumas/struggles/feelings with your partner bc we understood eachother??? bro you've only known eachother for 6months and yall arent even adults....... no way they never talked about that but also, if they had, they wouldnt have had that break up....... anyways, what im saying is, its unrealistic and it actually irks me.........

well... how about one headcanon of them by age slice

as kids, bazz was jugram's sunshine, too bright sometimes haha, jugram had to take a lot of time to adjust to bazz' energy bc while being cocky and.. arrogant, he's very nice, and he can see that, sometimes it would wear him off since he's not that great, but bazz is too good of an observer, he would quickly notice it and cheer jugram up.. a little hard duo, but they are both trying their best

as teens, they say they are stuck in the forest training but that would require a nice little house wouldnt it? minimum furniture since it's too hard to get some (ahem, sleeping in the same bed for some heat nyehe) but also, that's basically a domestic au lmao but yeah, cooking, doing laundy, bathing.... all stuff together :) i like the idea of bazz being the only one being able to read and jugram learns from him? he takes so much interest that he keeps a journal about their journey or discoveries... bazz too, but not as much... he's too busy being disliked by the neighbor city jfghdfg

young adults/prewar. oh... oh boy, that one i actually need to dev about it with scenarios and my personal hcs but ill go with a ns//fw bc why not :) while they dont talk nor get along well.. like, at all, that doesnt stop them from being... touchy, it wouldnt romantic or anything "reciprocal" (as in, its more selfish/out of impulse then doing *with* the other) but there is def some yearning... lots LOTS of it.. they would kinda regret doing it bc its not right, but they just cant help it...

post war, this one can be very very open and wide, but rebuilding what was lost brings some reconciliation... not fully, but the gap is less... awkward, so they can now talk to eachother without that weird tension, bazz would love teasing jugram but it would always end up falling on his own head fjghdfg,.. there is some up and downs during that time ofc, but no tension like it used to be, they would have some casual talks... too casual that askin can easily pick up how they have history fgjkkfgh

i actually have a lot of hc, such as their physical appearance, their little perks and ofc, their angst... its hard to dev when im just given one random hc fgmjdfg i either end up with scenarios or interpretation rip legit i can make a post of the same length about their hair.. THEIR HAIR.....help

8. Unpopular opinion

i have no shame to blame the very badly received ending of bleach to juazz unpopularity... also ppl considering them as villains, for some reason, yet arrancars gets lots of love and attention but not ritters?? maybe bc of the anime but still?? most ppl in the fandom read tybw now...... sigh..... also, if you dont think romance is possible between them, ill call you homophobe on sight (idm ppl who prefers it platonic, but if you think it "ruins" their relationship, you are so off the grid pal)

also, they are one of the best written characters in the whole series but nobody wants to dig as far as i did.......

and very very hot take but..... you cant have jugram or bazz as a fav if you dislike the other, not sorry

the idea of babies having no sense of object permanence is hilarious to me. can you write something for Chrono, Nemoto, Rappa and Mimic coming home after a long while to their s/o and like one year old baby who is super happy to see them, until they take off their mask and the kid gets super upset because “where did daddy go???” little bab doesn’t get that his dad is UNDER the mask

(Of all the things babies do, this is like one of my favorite things...besides when they grip your finger with their entire chubby little hand. Or when they try to talk but it’s all just babbles. Or when they laugh or smile...Ok lemme stop. I got baby fever this afternoon. Anyway, let’s change a few of these up so all the headcanons aren’t too similar)

-You watched as your daughter shook the toys in her tiny dimpled hands on the play-mat below. She was always so calm and very sweet. In fact, she rarely cried. It had gotten to the point where you and Hari took her to the doctor a month or two ago to see if everything was alright with her. Thankfully the doctor laughed it off after running a few tests. “There’s nothing wrong with your baby, silly geese. She’s just not a crier. In fact, most parents should be thankful for that! Now go home you two and get plenty of rest while you still can. Who knows how long this blessing will last before she starts crying a lot.” The doctor’s teasing words drifted around in your head as you mindlessly stared at the TV show from your comfy spot on the couch. Suddenly the door unlocked, signaling Hari’s return from work. “Someone is home early!” You called out to him. “Yeah. Turns out Kai put too many of the precepts on schedule today so Pops made him send me home.” Upon hearing her father’s voice your daughter smiled, big dimples appearing on her soft (s/c) cheeks...until he rounded the corner in his work uniform. “Hi baby! Daddy is home!” He reached out to her and she immediately began wailing like never before.

(I finally decided on spelling it like this instead of switching between Nemouto and Nemoto)

-Shin was very loyal to his work...sometimes a little too loyal. This resulted in him being away on a week long trip. Overhaul seemed a little heartless to the fact at first, but he’s been changing his ways lately so he at least sent you a gift basket to apologize for sending Shin away so long. It was more along the lines of ‘apologies for leaving you alone with the baby’ sort of thing. Nonetheless, you weren’t very angry to be with Naki (hello nemoto family au) for the week. It would all be just fine in your eyes. You were surprisingly pretty dang good at being a mother/father/parent ever since she was born/adopted. Nemoto was a bit over the top with being a dad, but he was also good in a sense. “Darling, I’m home!” You smiled when you heard your husband’s familiar voice accompanied by the sound of footsteps coming down the hall. While you smiled when his masked face came through the door, Naki immediately began freaking the fuck out and scrambling to get away from her own father. You could just hear the sadness in Shin’s voice when he asked “What’s wrong, what did I do?” Luckily when he took the mask off, she stopped panicking and reached out to him. “Looks like she’s less familiar with Shin Nemoto, and more familiar with Da-Da instead.” You smiled and passed her off to him.

-Your son was pretty much immune to your husband’s rowdy nature for the most part. (I think I remember giving him a daughter but its been a long time since I read ‘bring your child to gang day’ so take a son this time lol.) If anything, your son was only 1 but had picked up on most of Rappa’s behaviors and characteristics. One of the worst ones was the fact that he sometimes balled his tiny hands up and punched you before giggling...like currently. “C’mon sweetheart, please just eat a tiny bite off the spoon? It’s good, see?” You pretended to taste some of the mushy stuff off the tiny spoon before carefully moving it to his lips. He opened his mouth FINALLY until...”HEY FAMILY!!! I BROUGHT SOME OF THAT CARPET FRESHENER STUFF AT THE STORE WHILE I WAS OUT!!!” As soon as your son heard Rappa’s voice, he slapped the spoon out of your hand and began slamming his tiny fist over and over on the high chair tray. He was excited to see daddy, until Rappa rounded the corner with his work mask still on. “Hun, did you wear that to the store?” You laughed lightly at him and he shrugged. He quickly went to scoop his son out of the high chair, ignoring the fact that the baby was in full defense mode. “Hey kid, what’s up eh?” Rappa tilted his head as your son began swinging clumsy blow after blow with his tiny fists on Rappa’s mask. This of course only made your husband laugh. “Oh he’s a little fighter! Hell yeah, let’s go then!!!”

~Mimic~

-It was more often that you would always see your husband in his full form at home, especially since you’ve got a little bundle of joy under your wing. He basically never came home in his small form, but today he was in a rush to get back to you after being away for 2 days on a stealth/negotiations type mission. He actually scared the shit out of you when his little body wobbled around the corner from down the sidewalk. “What the hell? Did you walk here?” You teased him and he sighed. “Of course not! Hari dropped me off. You didn’t see his car pull in just now?” You shook your head and continued with the task at hand. “Nope, was too busy watering the plants. Hey! You know who will be happy to see you?” Mimic hugged you and shifted to look up at the baby in the little swing next to you. However, this time he wasn’t greeted with the usual smiles and giggles his kid blessed him with. This time he was met by crying. Endless, melancholy wailing that carried on for at least 10 minutes while you worked with the plants. You couldn’t seem to understand why he couldn’t soothe your baby like usual and neither could he. Well, that was until he shifted into his larger form to hold them. That was when the baby went silent and fell into a comfortable cuddle in daddy’s large arms. The light-bulb went off in both of your heads at that very moment, and Joi promised to never come home in his tiny form again. Well...at least until the baby could handle him.

something to get off my chest..

I’ve read about this a bit, and went through some thoughts from others and I’d like to say something. Can fanfiction writers be a bit more inclusive to POC(I’m going to be focusing on black readers, as that’s where I can say what I feel)  and such. The writing from the people I read from is fine, so if you’re one of my fanfic writing moots, don’t worry, you’re in the clear :). It’s just a general PSA type thing of me saying “Please include us, I feel out of place and misrepresented and with writing and fanfiction, I kind of feel left out when I see certain things in a fic or whatever it may be.” Been bothering me a little bit.

Examples Where Inclusion Could be Added:

“Ran fingers through S/O’s hair” As a black girl, I’d love for this phrase to be real, and to happen, but sometimes it’s just not happening. I’ve got tighter textured hair, and I’d enjoy for a character to put their hand on my hair, or take a small piece and scrunch a tiny curl.

“When the character puts their hair into a ponytail” Along with the running their fingers through my hair thing, a lot of the time, my hair won’t be going into a ponytail and stay slick and whatnot. Improvements could be to put their hair into an afro puff, or putting a headwrap on, etc.

“Pale, white as snow skin” This one’s a bit self-explanatory. Now, I will acknowledge vitiligo, and those who have it. That, as well as some POC having albinism. Those scenarios do count, but I can only speak for myself. Compare black skin to the sun, and how it shines beautifully in the golden rays. Also, don’t refer to black/brown skin tones as chocolate, caramel, or mocha. There’s tons of other things, other than food, to compare it to, or to just call it beautiful because it is.

“Discoloration” A lot of the time, POC might have discoloration of the skin, and uneven skin patches, and yes, I know this isn’t just a black people thing, white people may experience it too, but that’s where that comes in. Mention discoloration, or make it a topic to shed light on in a fic.

“Silky smooth hair” My hair is not silky smooth, and it may never be that way. It’s curly, coily, and a lot of the times, dry. It’s rough to the touch, and the curls have their own feel and pattern. Perhaps, you could shed some light on how the hair feels. Do NOT compare it to sheep wool, carpet, anything rough like that. It’s demeaning and rude. Instead, make it seem perfectly imperfect, our hair isn’t going to be like fresh sheets.

“They had long hair, reaching (blank) length.” A lot of our hair IS NOT LONG. Or what is considered long in this white beauty standard. Yes, my hair stretches to my back, but does it look like that upon immediate arrival? No, no it doesn’t. Try mentioning different hair styles that the reader might have it in, such as braids, a hijab, headwrap, afro puffs, cornrows.

How Curly Hair Dries. I am acknowledging that fact that any texture of hair can and does grow out of any person’s head, regardless of race. However, I’m mentioning it. If the fic is talking about it raining, or them getting water on their hair, or being in a pool. Mention how their hair droops then shrinks, because curly hair does that. How it may get frizzy, puffy, all that jazz.

“Character straightened their hair, character did French braids, character did hair crown, character curled their hair” Now, I know black hair does a lot, but we do NOT straighten our hair every day. It takes too long, and it does too much heat damage. We can do French braids, but they don’t come loose immediately. They’re protective styles for a reason. We also can do hair crowns, but like I said, it’s going to be a STRUGGLE. Mention other hair styles, and other black hairstyles, and what the character does or doesn’t do to it everyday. One day it might be moisturizer day, or wash day. They could do a wash and go, or leave it down, braid it, twist out, braid out. Whatever it may be, add it in.

SFW Fic Ideas That Include These Things:

The character’s S/O, or boyfriend, let me say for this example, Nathan Young (teehee) asks if he can help on a wash day, and they approve. He also has curly hair, but it’s a different texture to most black hair, and mention that too. How he might ask for help, try not to hurt them, gets confused at how much product they might have to use. (A LOT).

A lot of the time, with POC, they fade into pink, and the actual inside of the vagina is pink, but not the surrounding area. The skin around the pubic mound darkens in color, and the closer it reaches the vagina, the darker it may be, due to discoloration, skin rubbing, etc.

STRETCH MARKS. This one isn’t race specific, every color of skin can have stretch marks, BUT the color does differ. As a person who has stretch marks, mostly near my nether regions, the darker the skin they’re on, the darker they’ll be. Try adding in sprinkles of stretch marks for ALL of your characters.

Body Shape. Now, there are curvier white people, and I do acknowledge that fact, but with black people, there is a certain body type that a lot of us have. Big titties, fat ass, big hips, big thighs. NOW, black people and POC are sexualized and fetishized a fuck ton, and I’m tired of it. If our body types are mentioned, and it’s a specifically black or POC character, don’t make it all that they’re about, especially when writing about smut. Yes, they can be thicc, and beautifully so, but don’t oversexualize that about them.

“Character grabbed on to their hair, pulling it tight.” I don’t like my hair being touched without permission, forget the pulling. Have it where the character might ask permission to touch their hair, even if they’re getting down and dirty.

NSFW Fic Ideas That Include These Things

Character wants their pussy licked, and their S/O mentions how beautiful their pussy is, how beautiful their skin is.

Character and S/O see each other nakie for the first time, mention their pubic hair (if they have it, make it inclusive). Mention stretch marks, how they feel as their S/O/ drags their fingers, tongue across them. Tongue dragging against their nipples (mention color).

Character doesn’t want their hair touched during intercourse. Mention the talk about it, potentially angst if S/O accidentally touches it or unintentionally upsetting them about it.

These are just my feelings, a couple of suggestions. Fanfiction is something I enjoy writing, as well as enjoy reading, and I want it to be inclusive for everyone, not just the status quo, and the “average reader”. I hope someone finds something out of all of this, and takes it to heart. :)
