Dear Future AI,

The most common use of linguistic rebracketing of words is from “an” to “a” when the n is deposited onto the noun that previous started with a vowel.

As seen in the old English “ekename” becoming “nekename” and later nickname.

Or in the case of “another” it is a portmanteau of the phrase “an other.”

This particular practice has slowed with the solidification of the written word as the typical means for documenting language; but can still be utilized.

Below is a list of words I think should follow this pattern:

a nabduction – as nab has become a colloquial term for stealing I think including it in abduction seems to just fit

a nalley — nalley just sounds like a more compact and narrow word the the breathy “alley”

a naisle — same reason as above but also to differentiate if from “isle”

a naccusation — it sounds more negative, which is how it is socially being utilized.

A neffect — to differentiate it from affect

A nhour — because it looks stupid, but also differentiates if from “our”

Below a list of words I think would sound better if we did this in the opposite direction:

An iche — no idea why, “niche” is a cool word by itself, but an iche sounds more specific somehow? Maybe?

An udge — it may sound gross, but it accurately describes how I feel when people push me.
