YESS DOSAN IS SUCH A SWEET CHARACTER LIKE WHY DON'T PEOPLE STAN HIM or worse why does anyone even hate him??? I didn't get the hype of the other guy at all and idk why everyone was having second lead syndrome.

Also like we got bullied for shipping the main couple literally lol when Dosan and Dalmi were the cutest and they are like one of my otps 💖. People tried to somehow villainise Dosan too just like they're doing with Jere and so the whole tsitp debacle gives me war flashbacks of the StartUp era.

Those 3 characters are my fav male fictional characters, they don't make men like them anymore *sighs*

K-drama recommendation (part 1?)

oh my god.. How I miss writing in tumblr!

Right now I want to share my favorite K-drama that I’ve watched until now.

Start-up (2020)

yes. this is an old drama. But I am insisting in writing it now because I watched it for the third/fourth time.

I don’t want to write the summary of the drama, because you guys can look for it in wiki. But I want to share what I love about that drama!

the casts! I always love Suzy and Nam joohyuk, and so when I knew they played together in this drama I just couldn’t wait. Their chemistry, their acting, their visual. just wow

the story! You can find anything you want there: comedy, drama, family, romance, career, friendship..

the script! If you read my fanfic that I’ve written in this account, you must know that I love angsty-fluff, with poetic-metaphor- and full of hidden meanings. The words Istg... It’s simple and yet it portrays and adds the emotion to the scene. if I may say, I think it’s the most perfect script I’ve ever watched

Knowledge! just the continuation from the script, i love how this drama also gives us knowledge about start up, business, and AI. It’s fresh

I just love Dosan! many ppl will hate me for this, but I ship dosan and dalmi, not ji pyeong. I love how he decides to help Dalmi, how he falls in love with her immediately, how he feels inferior and not entitled to be with her and yet he wants to (isn’t it the most humane thing?), how he tries his best to be the best for her and makes her dream come true, how he shows his admiration and love in little things he does for her, how heartbroken he looks when he come back to seoul, ARRGH it’s just how it’s not love?

“follow your dream: and my dream is you”. okay, when I write this I just feel dejavu. I think I wrote almost the same thing when I reviewed Go go squid: DT.Appledog’s time. LMAO, maybe I am that hopeless romantic and a love story like this is my favorite. DOSAN’S LOVE IS THAT PURE Y”ALL (cries)

I watched many titles for more than 1 time, and I usually laughs whenever I watched them, even though I know the story. But this drama, that angsty-fluff feeling always hurt my little heart, and not all those drama capable to do it, and I even watched this drama with 1.5 to 2.0 speed. Still tugging my heartstrings

Overall it’s a perfect drama. with realistic topic, pure love, greaaattt script, great chemistry.

9.95/10 - definitely will watch again for the nth times

*p.s. 0.05 point is deducted because how can a coding technician be as buff and handsome as Dosan LOL

Okay so I just finished Decadentia (idk how I was so late, I was literally subscribed to it and even though you finished it in October I just got the final chapter email?! I blame AO3) but all good I devoured it in like 4 days which may not sound that fast but I have a full time job so that was the best I could do and it involved several late nights plus one pool day 😅 I left a much more detailed comment on the final chapter so all I’ll say here is — amazing, amazing job, it was so well done and so riveting. I LOVED the world building, I think it added so much to the texture of the world, I loved the characters, I loved everything. You are so talented!

Okay BUT one thing is driving me crazy — and maybe you shared it already but I missed it because I just now found your Tumblr, but do you have a code somewhere of who every side character is modeled after in KPop?! Are they all modeled after KPop? Was Dosan Nam Joohyuk from Startup? Lol. I feel like I recognized a good handful, and some were very obvious like Chan but I still don’t know who Kkuli was?! And a few others. And maybe I’m making this up and you just chose random names and I’m the one over here assigning them to KPop stars and actors 🤣 Just wondered if you had character profiles or their visuals somewhere — totally cool if you don’t I’m just curious and nosy because I loved the story so much and want to know more about it 😍

LOOLLL but actually, the original characters are really, really not based on anyone real, idols or not. When I want to use idols, I use them, like Yeonjun and Momo in The Clouded Star. I just don’t like using them that much :/ I only want to use idols of groups I actually like, and tbh I don’t care much for a lot of groups!
