hey, found this funny thing
it's the cover of an album by They Might Be Giants that reads:
“NANOBOTS / THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS”
and it's like no?
like, no they might not??

I love the nanobots album by they might be giants cause it goes from
"look at these little guys go!"
"damn your head is on fire"
" black ops are horrifying monsters and kill people who oppose American ideology"
"woah girl you're too tall!"

The two types of Linnell girls/other genders
"Omg he's so cool/smart/funny/pretty Him and Flans are such good friends and I love their music sooooo much"
And,
"I want to [Redacted] him like a [Redacted] [Redacted] with a [Redacted] and [Redacted]. He is also old now, and I don't like/ am absolutely obsessed with that."
And then Flans girls are all
"Flans is cool :)"

TMBG songs but
when you listen to only one earbud, you get to hear a super specific one-take of the johns:
1. You're On Fire (the right ear rhythm guitar is a different track entirely from the left)

Fingertips walked so nanobots could drop dead on the floor face first
(Translation: The fingertips suite on Apollo 18 is better than the collection of shorter tracks on Nanobots)

I'd just like to say that I am *the* #1 'Nanobots' defender it is by far my favorite tmbg album and every song on it (except 'Tesla') is a memorable banger.
From the upbeat tracks 'You're On Fire' and 'Call You Mom', the calmer 'Sometimes a Lonely Way' to the industrial jazz horror banger that is 'Darlings of Lumberland' this album is absolutely stellar and no one can change my mind!! Don't even get me started on the running themes of teenage rebellion and the fears of raising a teen oneself, I don't know if yall are ready for that discussion yet. Anyways, yeah, the og 4 albums are amazing, and all but modern giants are just as good if not better in many aspects! Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
