The Witcher
The theme for the Otome Haven Discord Server’s Halloween Event is: Fantasy and it starts on Monday... So, I decided to go ahead and make my submission for it!
My original plan was to just make Yennefer... But I got inspired to make Nathaniel into a Witcher and a design for Ciri!
I made Ciri in the custom sucrette maker.
Yennefer was made in photoshop. I took 3 different tops, cut the pieces I needed, added them to one of the wedding dresses, cut the arm decorations from one of the music events off at the elbows, added a choker from a Christmas event, the moon and stars earrings from an early UL episode, used the wig from a Summer event, used the mask from 2022′s music event, and the drink from 2022′s Valentine’s Day event.
Nathaniel’s sprite was originally one of the Easter sprites that I edited. I recolored his hair and added his medallion and sword.
The background is from the Netflix animated movie The Nightmare and The Wolf.
I like to think that this is Nath, Alana and their daughter Aurora in cosplay!

Monday Week 9 3/4/24 Post:
Seeing a previous post about this song, I have to agree, this song seems perfect. Kendrick Lamar has been one of the most influential individuals within the hip-hop and rap communities, describing stories of his life and the world. This song's lyrics, combined with the music video, it truly brings light to some of the best of hip-hop and rap; not only for enjoyment of the song, but as a representation of the world that this song resides in.

2021:24-Last Minute
Marinette sighed in the back of the class. She hated Mondays; it just meant she had another week of putting up with Lila's imaginative stories and hateful glares thrown her way, for no reason. Class had been in session for maybe an hour, when Jagged Stone slammed the classroom door open.
"Marinette!" he cried, "Pack your bags; your coming on tour with me!"
Marinette stood up from her seat and shouted, "Seriously?"
"Yep." the rock star smiled.
"Mr. Stone?" Bustier questioned, "Marinette is in class and-"
"Her parents are in the process of pulling her out of school." he announced.
Marinette happily began to put her things away in her backpack.
"Why are you taking Marinette?" questioned Nino.
"Yeah?" spoke up Kim, "Why aren't you taking Lila on tour with you?"
"Who?" Jagged Stone asked.
"Lila Rossi!" Alya announced, picking up Lila's hand and waving it.
Jagged frowned and looked confused, "I don't know her."
"Of course you do!" cried out Sabrina.
"She saved your kitten on an airport runway!" Nathaniel shouted.
"She got tinnitus from it." declared Ivan.
"You dedicated a song to her!" Rose squealed.
Jagged glared at the class, "I've never met this child in my life nor have I ever had a bloomin' cat-"
"Ki-kitten." spoke up Mylene.
"Whatever!" the rock star rolled his eyes, "Marinette, did you know about this?"
"I told them she was lying, but no one wanted to listen to me. I mean why would they listen to the person who made your sunglasses, or designed your album cover, made the t-shirt designs for your last three concerts, has had you appear on TV in my own home?" Marinette question, as she made her way down the steps to the front of the class and stood next to him, "He's only mentioned me a handful of times in the media as his one and only niece. Not to mention, I'm his designer. I make the clothes for his concerts."
"Has any of those lies been posted?" Jagged asked Marinette.
"I don't know. Alya, did you post any of that bullshit on your blog?" Mari asked.
Alya panicked and pulled out her phone, looking through her blog.
Jagged sighed, "Tell Penny where to look and if they are publicized, she'll make sure their parents receive a lawsuit."
Alya's grip on her phone went slack, her phone dropping from her lap to the floor. The clatter drowning the class in silence.
"A-A lawsuit?" Lila questioned, paling.
"So you hear your own lies?" he snapped, "A middle aged man writing songs about a minor! I could get my name and music smeared for sexual assault, harrassment of a minor; child pornography!
Adrien couldn't believe what he was hearing. This is what lying caused? His father had always told him to ignore them; the PR department always dealt with them.
"I texted Penny where to look." Mari spoke, "She said she'll look through it right now."
"Thanks, Cupcake." the rock star smiled.
"So, how did you persuade my parents to take me?" she asked.
Jagged Stone smiled, "Oh, I didn't; your boyfriend did."
"What?" Marinette questioned.
"Surprise, Habibiti." Damian spoke, announcing his arrival.
"Damian!" Marinette shouted, rushing into his arms for a kiss, "What did you say? How did you convince them?"
"I fought with your mother." he admitted.
Marinette pulled away from her boyfriend and stared at him.
"Damian Wayne," she growled out, "what did you say?"
"I battled your mother." he repeated.
Marinette let go of him and took two steps back, glaring at her boyfriend.
"She isn't injured!" Damian declared, "I merely disarmed her and subdued her. She's working in the bakery, as we speak. No fractures. No bruising. No sprains. I checked myself!"
"Uh-huh." Mari spoke, tapping her foot in anger, "What else?"
The Wayne heir sighed, "I promised I would be with you every step of the way and would be your bodyguard."
Marinette shook her head, "Of course you did. How did I ever think my overprotective boyfriend would let me go on a World Tour, without someone watching my every move." making him smirk.
Jagged watched the two in concern, "We're setting up guidelines with your parents, today. If they say sperate sleeping arrangements, I don't wanna see you with her after a certain time; you got that kid?"
Damian pulled Marinette back into his arms and glared at the rock star, "Angel and I have already spoke to her parents about our relationship and my intentions. I, in no way, intend to impregnate her at the earliest convience. We have laid out a guideline. Marinette plans to graduate and open her studio, before anything."
"All right, you two." Marinette spoke, " Let's go back to the bakery. I have some last minute packing to do and we have arrangements to make." walking out of the class.
Damian and Jagged threw one last glare at each other, before rushing after her.
The class couldn't comprehend what they had just witnessed. Jagged Stone had no idea who Lila was. Marinette had known him this whole time; explaining why she called Lila a liar. Lila had claimed that their class president was bullying her due to her obsessive crush on Adrien Agreste, but she had her own boyfriend and an overprotective one, at that. It sounded like he didn't plan on letting her go anytime soon. Not to mention, Marinette just left school for the year. Who knew what would happen during that time?
"I guess we now know who the real liar is now, don't we." Chloe laughed.
Lila slid down in her seat, as Alya picked up her phone, deciding it was best to delete all her hard work, before she was sued. The blogger refreshed her blog only for an ERROR message to come up. She saved herself, but lost a great friendship in the process. Alya turned and glared at Lila, with tears in her eyes.
"I think the lying bitch should take her seat in the back, don't you, Liar?" she growled out, "It's where you forced us to move Marinette. I think the rightful Queen of Lies should sit in her throne."
Lila gathered her things and moved to the back, without a word. She had thought she had won the war, but in the last minute, Marinette turned the tide and won with an overwhelming victory. She had lost sight of the battle, of her opponent. Marinette had moved on from the people who had turned against her. She had moved on from the Prince, she had swayed to her side and found herself a King.

so did nathan become a famous musician? if yes then how does ethan feel about his songs about tiffany?
Thanks for spotting this! ❤️ For those who don’t know: it’s related to Tiffany’s high school memories from this week’s MC Monday.
Nathan did get famous! He’s performing as Nathan & The Gunners, an indie rock band with a regular concert ensemble. He’s doing vocals, playing guitar (and sometimes piano), writing music and most of the lyrics.
Some of his lovey-dovey high school ballads featured on the first album, but most of his songs about Tiffany had been written after the painful break up, meaning the recurring themes are heartbreak, angst and hope for reconnecting one day.
To put it mildly, Ethan was never a fan.
The fact that another man could be making profit from proclaiming undying love for his woman seems a lot to digest for Grumpsey’s jealousy-prone brain. Any rational arguments tend to lose their power in the face of any ambiguity concerning Nathan’s intentions so explicitly discussed in his songs. No real threat has ever emerged, of course, but the mere thought of any remaining romantic feelings on Gunner’s side was unnerving.
Though Nathan was an important part of Tiffany’s life and she’ll always think of him fondly*, neither of them would ever consider going back that road. They were always better off as friends in the first place, and even Nathan was able to come to terms with the obvious years after they parted ways.
The two finally met at...Nathan’s wedding. Ethan was appalled to admit that Mr Guitar Ballad is actually a decent guy and they got along as well as two men loving the same woman could.
In the end, Nathan turned out to be the only ex Ethan tolerates. He even agreed to attend his concert once.
_____
*I mean...E&T’s firstborn is called Nathaniel??? Ethan connected the dots a bit too late to revoke his approval for the name lol

The legendary Judy Garland's 99th birth date is Thursday, June 10 (Garland was born in 1922 in Grand Rapids, Minn.). TCM is celebrating with a daytime lineup of her films. We recommend two of Garland's musicals with her fellow MGM icon Gene Kelly: For Me and My Gal (1942) at 9 am ET and Summer Stock (1950) at 3 pm ET Garland and Kelly also starred together in The Pirate (1948), which is airing at 1:15 pm ET. Also, if you can't get enough of Judy, the wonderful family film Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) is airing at 11:45 pm ET Friday.
Here's the best of the rest:
It Happened One Night (1934) at 12:15 am ET/9:15 pm PT Wednesday night/Thursday morning: This iconic screwball comedy starring Oscar winners Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable is just the right way to shake off the mid-week blahs.
Faithless (1932) at 10:15 am ET/7:15 am PT Friday, June 11: We've never seen this pre-code melodrama starring the great Tallulah Bankhead as a spoiled heiress who falls from grace (if you're a pre-code fan, you've come across this plot point a time or two). The reviews are so-so, but Bankhead is always worth a watch, and she and co-star Robert Montgomery look like the two most gorgeous humans to ever breathe air in this swoony production still.
How to Steal a Million (1966) at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT Sunday, June 13: There's nothing we enjoy more than a good caper movie. and Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole make a fine pair in this cheeky rom-com about forgery and theft in the art world.
The Scarlet Letter (1927) at 12:30 am ET/9:30 pm PT Sunday night/Monday morning: The great Lillian Gish gives one of her finest performances as Puritan outcast Hester Prynne in this excellent screen version of Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic novel.

Miraculous Ladybug Sugar Prompts
Because there’s enough hate and salt in this fandom, might as well lighten things up with some positivity.
Marinette brings in leftovers from her parent’s bakery to class so they don’t go to waste, an overflowing box of pastries and breads, before class starts. Everyone in class smiles and thanks her profusely for her kindness, the dreary Monday made a little sweeter by her. Adrien is particularly happy at snagging a croissant, and Nathaniel quietly thanks her for keeping his Kosher diet in mind.
Adrien always makes sure to say hello to all his classmates in the morning, because he knows how it feels like to be ignored and alone in the mornings in his home. He’s like a bright ball of sunshine. Everyone in class feels a little more willing to face the day with his genuine smile and goodwill to start them off.
Alya gets an excited fan running up to her, realizing she’s the runner of the Ladyblog, and asking for her autograph. The fan thanks her for being so brave and amazing, running around to show Paris what the heroes are doing. Alya recognizes how important her sacrifices mean to the people of Paris, even when she’s not a superhero.
Nino is well-known in his community as being the local DJ for hire. After DJing for someone’s birthday, the family that hired him praise him for being so talented and hardworking, such a young enterpreneur! The others at the party also praise and compliment him, and Nino’s left with a plate of leftovers, a check, and his heart full of pride and happiness that his efforts are paying off in these small ways. He might not be famous yet, or anytime soon, but people enjoying his music and his DJing is still great.
Nathaniel is working on sketches with Marc in the park, when a little girl excitedly runs up to them and asks Nathaniel if he can draw her. The girl’s father catches up and apologizes for his daughter’s rudeness. Nathaniel gives a shocked look over at a smiling Marc, before assuring that it’s fine, he can draw the man’s daughter ‘as practice’. After gifting the girl the drawing, the little girl squeals and hugs him, thanking him profusely. Nathaniel is flustered, especially when the father slips him a bill as a thank you, leaving with his daughter before the artist can stutter out a refusal. Marc giggles and congratulates him on the commission, and Nathaniel laughs helplessly, feeling happy he could make that little girl’s day brighter.
Kim has a swim meet he’s been practicing for weeks. His entire class shows up to cheer him on, and he feels happy and grateful for the support. He ends up coming in at second place, glad he placed, but internally disappointed he didn’t end up getting first. All his classmates cheer for him and assure him that he’s amazing, starting up a chant of “Kim! Kim! Kim!”. The athlete ends up smiling wide and laughing, buoeyed by his friends’ support. He realizes that he might not have gotten first, but he still accomplished something great.
Alix is doing skate tricks in the park, gathering a bit of an audience cheering her on. She smiles and waves at them, going about her laps, before doing an impressive crazy stunt. Everyone has their phones out recording her, cheering loudly and going wild. Alix grins and pants for breath as people start coming up to pat her on the back or congratulate her on the amazing move. She feels proud that people acknowledge her skills
Max and Markov are going to have a presentation with a technology company, which Max is nervous about. He keeps making calculations on how well the meeting will go versus it ending up in disaster. His friends talk him through his anxieties, trying to tell him that he doesn’t need to constantly calculate the possibilities. He just has to go into the meeting and do the best he can. He’s smart, and he knows his stuff. And if it doesn’t work out this time, there’s always next time. Max calms down, bolstered by the support of his friends, and gains a bit of hope and confidence. He takes the advice to heart.
Sabrina spends a weekend with her father doing everything she wants to do, because Roger wants to treat his daughter and catch up with her. He’s been so busy with Akuma, he feels like he hasn’t been there enough for her. So Sabrina and her father sit down to eat pizza and watch one of Sabrina’s favorite shows. The girl gushes about the show and explains the characters to her attentive listener. Her and her dad make ice cream sundaes and eat those as well. Sabrina turns her phone off for the entire weekend, so she won’t worry about anything except taking a relaxing weekend off.
Ivan is working on a new love song for Mylene. He gets the help from his friends in Kitty Section. Rose and Juleka are happy to help, and Luka is there to lend an ear as well and help calm them all down from overwhelming Ivan with nerves. They end up having a casual jam session, laughing and joking and eating snacks Anarka gives them. Ivan is glad he has such cool friends and band mates willing to help him. He’d thought he would be wasting their time with his problems, but they end up spending the time well by goofing off and bonding.
Mylene is excited to plant a new set of herbs for her herb garden. Her boyfriend Ivan is more than happy to help her with the task. And for once, her father has the day off, and helps as well. Mylene gets to spend the day with her two favorite and most important people in her life, helping her and supporting her interests and hobbies. After they’re done, the three attempt to make dinner together. Mylene keeps getting shooed off to do the easier tasks, because her father and boyfriend want her to not have to worry and do the bulk of the cooking. The food ends up looking a little messy and gets toastier than they wanted, but Mylene just laughs happily and thanks her papa and Ivan with kisses on the cheek.
Juleka is trying out new hairstyles one week. Luka helps her brush her hair and style it, the two using tons of bobby pins and looking up tutorials on their phones. She wants to try to see what looks good and what she feels good with, to branch out and be more fashionable. It’ll help her feel more comfortable as well, since she wants to try modeling. Her classmates compliment her different hairstyles, Rose gushing over Juleka the most. Getting constantly peppered in compliments makes Juleka flustered and blush, but she’s also enjoying the support and attention, happy that no matter what she looks like, people still like her.
Rose writes a song to perform for the school’s talent show. Everyone expects a cutesy love song, and are surprised when she starts a heavy rock song while screaming into the mic. Juleka and Ivan whoop and cheer for Kitty Section’s singer, and everyone realizes that Rose has more depth than her pretty in pink exterior shows. Her friends and classmates start rocking out to her song, cheering wildly when she finishes, the loudest group among the others cheering for her. Rose beams and bows, glad to see so much support for her singing.
Chloe has a hard time being nice to people or showing a soft side. So instead of using words, she starts giving people gifts instead. Is it bribery? Yeah. But getting gifts is what she’s used to, and she has tons of money, so why not use it? The class are surprised when she starts doing things like ordering catering for when they have class events, letting Sabrina borrow accessories from her, etc. She even wrinkles her nose and gifts Adrien a wheel of Camembert, telling him he needs to eat more, even if it is stinky cheese. The others in class slowly start to warm up to the queen bee.
Luka usually has a hard time asking for help. He’s used to being the older sibling, the one to take care of things. Used to taking care of the house when his mom’s out working. He’s trying to schedule school with Kitty Section practices and chores, and gets overwhelmed. Despite him trying to hide his stress, someone notices. One day, Juleka sits down with him, offering that she can be the one to shedule their practices for them, and organize their equipment. Luka already does a lot for their family and friends. Heart full and heart song singing, he hugs his little sister tightly and thanks her. It’s good to be reminded that he doesn’t have to be the one to support others, but that others can support him as well.
Kagami is still unfamiliar with social cues, especially as France’s customs are different than Japan’s. Much more familiar, might louder, than what she’s used to. Thankfully, through Adrien and Marinette’s help, Kagami gets slowly more accustomed. She goes to get ice cream with them, picks up on slang, is comfortable enough to allow for casual touches. She’s not sure if Paris will ever be her home, but with the help and support of her slowly growing list of friends, she believes that Paris will no longer feel like enemy territory. Possibly even a home away from home.
Lila sits in her room, alone, and doesn’t plan. Doesn’t scheme. Doesn’t worry about pretenses or spinning a web of lies. Her ailing grandmother calls her, voice kind, Nonna asking her if she’s read any new books or tried any new foods in France. And Lila allows herself an hour of telling her Nonna all the little things about Paris, the tastes and smells and sounds. Of the park near her school, the vendors on the street, the cafe she found and likes to sit and drink a coffee in. Nonna tells her kindly, “I’m glad you’re doing well in Paris. I’m sure your friends are helping you adjust.” Lila thanks her, giving her well-wishes, and hangs up. She wipes away the silent tears on her face. The hour of peace was nice, while it lasted.

Marinette’s Week Off
This is a one-shot. Sorry, I kind of forgot Adrien.
One week. Just one week. Marinette took one week off a year. One week where she didn’t work herself to death as Marinette. Or nearly get herself killed as Ladybug. One week where she didn’t do any favors, any designs, didn’t work in the bakery, didn’t save anyone. A week to relax. A week to meditate. A week to destress and just take care of herself. Just one week every year. To prepare for it she sent reminders to all her friends and family. She posted a flyer on the class bulletin board. Marinette finished all her commission and school work in advance.
She made Fu aware that Ladybug wouldn’t be active, told Chat Noir that Queen Bee would be his partner while she was gone. Marinette always made sure everyone was prepared for her absence. And made it clear that she would be unavailable. No matter what. She didn’t care if the world was ending.
However, this year was different than the ones that came before. For starters, Marinette now only had two or three good friends in class, and one or two mediocre ones. She only warned those three people. While she still posted her usual flyer, she had done it knowing it would be disregarded.
Marinette was no longer class president either; she no longer had to plan class trips, parties, or dances. Or anything of the sort. When she was class president, Marinette always made sure to plan her week off around the class’s busiest time of the year. That year, she didn’t have to so she didn’t. In fact, she planned her week off during the biggest dance of year, the class musical, the class’s big fundraiser. It was usually her most stressful week of the year.
           Not this time.
On the Friday before her week off, Marinette reminded Bustier of her absence for the next week, and then walked out of class with a relieved smile on her face. She was almost there. Just two more days. She used her weekend to finish up any last minutes details of her vacations; confirm her reservation; spend most of the time with her parents.
And on the stroke of midnight that turned Sunday to Monday, Marinette got her bags, kissed her parents goodbye and was gone in her Uber. She knew how this week worked. By six am, the ‘emergency’ calls would start; everyone screaming fire. However, she wouldn’t be there to put them out, metaphorical fires or real ones.
Not today, Satan, Marinette thought.
Marinette got to the airport, slept on the plane ride, arrived at her luxury beach resort, a little after sunrise. She had saved up her money and did extra commissions all year to pay for it. It was beautiful. However, there was just one problem…
“Marinette, love!” Jagged called, somehow looking more awake in the wee hours of the morning than he did at 3 in the afternoon. Penny, however, looked half-asleep. Even Fangs slept on the luggage being moved by a rather fearful looking bellhop.
Marinette’s parents couldn’t get time off the bakery; it was their busiest time too. Her grandma was in Peru. Mariette needed an adult with her at the resort. Jagged happened to overhear her mother asking if she found a chaperone yet. It wasn’t like Marinette had any other options.
“I have so many Rockin’ plans!” Jagged said. “Scuba diving! Sky diving. Swimming with sharks. Parasailing! Bungee jumping!”
Marinette narrowed her eyes at her favorite rockstar and honorary Uncle, “Sleep.” She said.
Jagged waved her off, “We’ll sleep when we’re dead.”
“Sleep,” Marinette hissed darkly.
As amazing as that all sounded it could wait. Marinette was there to relax, not fight a shark. “Not today, Satan,” She whispered when she checked into her room. Leaving Penny to drag away a protesting Jagger to get some sleep as well. She called her parents to let her she had gotten there safely, called to re-confirm her spa reservation for that afternoon and then check her texts.
She had gotten quite a few as expected. Chloe wishing her a good vacation and promising to keep an eye on Chat. Luka sent her funny vacation memes. Nathaniel sent pics or didn’t happen texts; he found the possibility of Marinette all people actually taking a vacation hilarious and improbable. She’d show him though.
Then there were a few texts from her ex-friends. And it seemed like the fires had started…
When class started on Monday, most didn’t realize that Marinette wasn’t there until Bustier reminded Chloe to remind Chloe about the test next week. They all shrugged it off. Glad not to have to deal with the drama Marinette brought to class.
When Alya, the new class president, brought up the dance that Friday, things got a little tense.
“We need volunteers,” The glasses-wearing girl said. “People to decorate and to clean up and all that. We also need to get decorations.”
           She received confused looks.
“Isn’t that your job?” Alix asked. “The class president does all that.”
Alya crossed her arms, “No it’s not my job. I organize and plan but I can’t do everything by myself.”
“Marinette did,” Kim shrugged. “It can’t be that hard.”
“Do you wanna do it?” Alya asked him but he quickly shook his head. “Thought so. We don’t have a big budget. So can anyone chip in for decorations and food?”
Mylene frowned, “Marinette made all the decorations and food.” They never had to chip in before. “Maybe she’d do it again.”
There were nods. They may not be friends with the girl anymore but she was still very helpful.
“OH! I need a dress,” Rose brightened up the room with her smile. “Marinette made mine last year. It was so beautiful. I’ll ask her to make another.”
A few of the girls said the same.
“Not gonna happen,” Chloe smirked. “You guys are on your own.”
Alya shot her a glare. “And we’ll be just fine.” She wasn’t happy about asking her ex-bestie for anything, anyway.
           They were not fine.
Monday they had all talked a big game about not needing Marinette but by Tuesday, they realized that was a lie.
           Because everything was falling apart.
Mylene’s musical was Friday, the day before the dance. More than half the class were either in it or helping with it. That meant Alya had barely any volunteers for the Dance committee. And had been reminded by Bustier about the annual fundraiser they did every year to pay for the class trip. Alya had been class president since the beginning of the year, and had been responsible for planning it. She had forgot all about it.
Alya was confident she managed though. They’d pull in enough money to pay for the entire trip and she’d get to rub it in Marinette’s face that no one needed. Alya hoped Lila was back in time from her trip with Prince Ali to see it.
In addition, neither she nor Bustier seem to remember that the fundraiser was always biggest because it was the last one of the year. Marinette usually had done several different ones by then.
Mylene was struggling. None of the sets were done. The costumes were terrible. The entire play seemed to be falling apart. They had forgot to only put up flyers promoting the play but they never even made them. She didn’t understand, normally everything would be going as smooth as silk by then. Silk…
“Marinette,” She gasped. Yes, she remembered, Marinette always helped out with the school plays. The Bluenette would fix the costumes. She’d even help out with the flyers and the set. Mylene pulled out her phone and quickly called her ex-friend. It went to voice mail. She frantically sent a dozen texts, all screaming emergency. But she never got a reply.
Marinette laid on the beach, drinking virgin Pina Colada, while talking with a boy she met while surfing and subtly eyeing him. He was a seventeen-year-old, tanned, dark haired Adonis, literally named Adonis. He was ripped in a way Marinette had only every previously seen on guys in magazines or on TV. Marinette was fifteen, (Sixteen in just a few months) had grown remarkably into her looks, and smirked a bit every time she caught Adonis eyeing her back.
“I got to go,” Adonis said. “Work.” He leaned a bit closer to Marinette. “If you wanna drop by, I wouldn’t mind. Maybe we can go for a swim together.”
Marinette flushed with excitement and blushed a lovely pink by the offer, “That sounds amazing! What do you do?”
He grinned a sparkling white smile that lit up his gray eyes, and caused Marinette to let out a dreamy sigh. “I work with my dad. We do underwater scuba tours and explore sea wildlife and dormant underwater volcanos. We just got be careful to avoid sharks.”
Marinette’s fell open, and she just stared at the older boy for a moment, “I’m a little busy today. But can we meet up later,” She squeaked.
They said they goodbyes. And once Adonis was out sight, Marinette’s eyes narrowed, “Not today, Satan.”
An image of the first time saw Adonis suddenly floated to the front of her mind. Adonis coming out of the water, with his surfer board and red swim trucks, running towards dry land.
Marinette took a deep breath to stead herself; fight the urge to go running after Adonis. Because there was no way in hell she was going to deal with a “Dormant” volcano. And she didn’t mess with sharks. Neither did Jagged anymore and he had to learn his lessons the hard way. He was lucky to come back with all his limbs.
By Wednesday, everyone was panicking. Alya refused to give in and attempted to rally her troops; with a divide and conquer plan. Lila had even come back early and graciously offered to take time away from her busy schedule to help. Alya decided they’d work on the play first. Then prepare for the dance, it shouldn’t take that long to decorate anyway, Alya had guess. Then finally they work on the fundraiser.  Everything would go perfectly.
           …Everything went wrong.
They worked the entire morning on the Mylene’s musical. They tried to work on the costumes. But they had no one who could fix the costumes. Any tailor they went to cost an arm and a leg. Lila’s personal tailor was away helping the Duchess of Manchester with her wedding dress. Max could print flyer but only generic ones. Not the creative ones Marinette had always made. And it wasn’t like they could ask Nathaniel for help without him spitting acid at them. The sets had to be rushed; and ended up poorly painted. Not even close to as good as the ones Marinette had help do the year before and even worse than the ones other classes had done. To make matters worse, the light fixtures they had installed started a small fire.
Mylene had a full blown panic attacked that caused one of the strongest Akuma Queen Bee and Chat Noir had ever faced.
The musical had taken up most of the day. So Alya and the class spent the rest of it and most of the night trying to prepare for the dance. The problem was their budget was small. Apparently it had always been that small which had shocked Alya and the others as they remembered the amazing dances Marinette had always thrown. The only decorations came from the local party story and were as cheap as possible. But they hadn’t gotten nearly enough when they got to gym and fully realize the size of it. But most of their budget was already shot on what they did get.
While for the last few years, Marinette’s had supplied most of the food for the dances from the bakery. It was clear to Alya that, it wouldn’t be happening. Most of the class had been banned from the shop. Alya ended up having to buy dollar store chips and drinks; and ended up with a cliché fruit punch bowl.
Everyone got in trouble with their parents for being out so late. Even if they had been at school. All the kids were exhausted and overly stressed. When Alya got home that night, she got a text from Nino that caused her to burst into tears. His DJ gear had fried. They had no music for the dance.
Not to mention Alya hadn’t even thought about the fundraiser. What was she going to do? What could she do?
Alya cried herself to sleep. Knowing that in the morning she’d have to swallow her pride and call in the big guns. She needed Marinette. They all did.
Marinette was having the time of her life. She laughed as let Heinrich and Mila twirl her around the dance floor. She was at a local teen club, out late, and truly partying for the first time in her life. He was a sixteen-year-old, six foot tall, blond, gorgeous fut-baller, with cheekbones that could cut glass. He had come to the city with his team for a charity match all the way from Germany. Mila was a beautiful redhead from Ireland, with startling blue eyes and a face dusted with freckles. She was a futballer too and was the most competitive person Marinette had ever met.
Marinette had met the futball players, the girls’ team and the boys’ team at the beach. When the girls realized they only had five plays to the boys’ six and needed another girl. They saw Marinette alone and invited her to play. They all had a blast. Afterwards, they invited her to the club that night.
Marinette had danced with everyone. However, somehow she had found herself smashed between Heinrich and Mila, more often than anyone else.
The three laughed their way off the dance floor when Tonya, a local girl with green hair, and a futballer herself, had waved them over.
“We’re going to Fairy Ridge,” Tonya shouted over the music.
Marinette’s interest was piqued. “Fairy Ridge?”
Tonya answered happily, “It’s beautiful at night. An underground cave, near the ocean. It has this opening at the top and you can see all stars. It has a bunch of colorful crystals that glow in the moonlight, and fill up the cave.”
“Sweet,” Mila said, her arm still around Marinette. “Sounds like a party, mate.”
Everyone agreed quickly. But Marinette wasn’t too sure. It was really late to the point where Jagged would be proud when she got back. Penny had made Marinette promise to avoid doing anything that would make Jagged proud; apart from the Bluenette’s usual awesomeness of course.
“You are coming, yes, Marinette?” Heinrich gave her his most charming smile that made Marinette go weak in the knees.
“Marinette, the ridge is so cool,” Tonya exclaimed, a bright smile on her face. “It’s supposed to be magic. They say fairies used to really live there. It’s cursed. They say all who enter are given a test of worth. Those who pass are stolen away to live under fae rule forever more as a fairy.”
Marinette just looked at her. She thought of Tikki, the small magical god of creation, who was enjoying her vacation in the luxury sweet as well. When Marinette left her, she had been in a bowl of cookies finally getting caught up on Game of Thrones. A god who’s power turned Marinette into a magical superhero. Magical was real. And if A kwami was real, fairies could be too.
The bluenette pursed her lips, and feigned a look of disappoint, “Sorry, guys. It’s so late. I’m already super passed my curfew. You guys go. We’ll hang tomorrow, okay?”
The other teens expressed their disappointment, though Mila and Heinrich tried to convince her a bit more as they left the club. Jagger’s personal driver already waited for her.
Once they had parted ways, Marinette got into the car and drove off. She waved brightly to the backs of the beautiful teens, “Not today, Satan.”
Thursday, the entire class was freaking out. They had all gotten there early, desperate to try to fix the mess they were in. Even Alya could admit she needed some serious help. They all waited for Marinette to show up. Surely, it had to be back by now, right? They needed her!
When the school bell rang starting class, and once again, Marinette didn’t appear. Alya nearly screamed. “Where is she?” She asked. “Marinette can’t miss this much school!”
“She’s not replying to my texts,” Mylene said, her eyes frantic with worry. Her boyfriend Ivan tried to calm her down.
“She never got back to me either,” Rose frowned. “Normally I’d get a bunch of questions asking about the style of wanted for my dress by now.”
Alya stomped her foot. “Marinette hasn’t answered a single of calls. What part of S.O.S doesn’t she understand? The dance is falling apart. I have no idea what to do about the fundraiser on Sunday. We need her. I swear if that girl lost her phone again…”
“You’ll do what?” Surprising it was Nathanial who asked this. There was silence at his questions. “That’s what I thought. You’ll do nothing. One, because you have no right to text the girl you disowned as a friend and ridiculed for the last year for help. Two, you couldn’t take Marinette in a fight with everyone in this class helping you. And three, you’re the one who turned down her offers to help all year; citing that you didn’t need her. You don’t get to beg for help at the last minute, and be surprised that she can’t do it.” The speech had turned into an angry rant by the end as the once quiet redhead glared at them with poorly concealed disgust.
Chloe knew bringing Nathanial into their fold had been a smart idea. She sent a vicious smile to the class, “Marinette’s on vacation. She won’t be back until Monday.” Chloe relaxed in her seat. “For her ex-friends; it’s her one week. You should know what that means”
There were gasps. Alya’s face drained of color. They all knew what that meant. Marinette was gone in the wind, and she wouldn’t come back or answer her phone even if fire rained from the sky as furbys finally revealed the truth of their evilness and declared themselves the new rules of earth.
           They were on their own.
Lila watched with a frown as her classmates fell apart. She didn’t think this would happened when she got Alya to replace Marinette as class president. Who knew the idiots could survive without the girl?
“No dresses,” Rose realized. All the girls in class looked ready to cry. Marinette always made their dresses, always. What were they going to do? They never saved up any money for a dress because they never had to before.
Mylene started crying, “The play is ruined.” She sobbed. “I worked so hard on it.”
“What about the fundraiser?” Alix asked. “So much for going to New York or anywhere! Our class trip is ruined!”
Bustier looked at a loss of what to do as her student began to panic. “Now everyone calm down. Breath.” She said calmly. “It. Will. Be. Fine.”
Alya paced around the class, her hair wild, her eyes bloodshot from the lack of sleep. “Ok, we can do this! I can do this!” She hissed. “I don’t need Marinette. I’ve never needed Marinette!” She looked around at the class. “None of us do. Anything she can do, we can do better, right?” Some looked unsure but Alya manage to rally everyone. “We can get our own dresses!” She yelled. “We can decorate our own dance. We fix the school play. And we will do the fund raiser. Without her, who need that bully anyway?”
Nathaniel and Chloe shared a look and rolled their eyes. This would be good.
The next few days would go down in Bustier’s class history as the worst three days of the students’ lives. And the most embarrassing.
Barely anyone showed up for Mylene’s musical. None of the costumes were finished. The sets were a disaster. The actors were so frazzled, they couldn’t remember their lines. Three people walked out. One of them was Kim’s grandmother. Kim who had been one of the lead actors.
On the day of Mylene’s play, Marinette woke up from her second nap of day to Penny banging on her door. When the bluenette opened it, the woman screamed, “Get ready!”
“What?” Marinette yawned, still half-asleep.
“Get. Ready. Now,” Excitement shown in the older woman eyes. She bounced around the room, opened Marinette’s closet and started throwing out clothes. “Hurry!”
“Why?” It was her vacation. Marinette didn’t want to rush. Or move.
“Zac Efron,” Penny squealed. That got Marinette’s attention and it was all Marinette need to shoot to attention and start scrambling to get ready. “Tom Holland, and Zendaya are filming a movie on an island close by. Jagged got us passed to go set.”
As Marinette got dressed she asked, “What’s the movie about?”
Penny gave a dreamy sigh, “Pirates and adventures. It’s a musical. Zendaya plays a kickass pirate who takes control of her father’s ship after he dies to rescue her genius half-brother, played by Tom Holland, who managed to figure out the location of the greatest treasure in all of history, from the evil Pirate King, played by Zac Efron.”
“Now that’s a musical I’d watch,” Marinette finished her make up in the mirror.
“And get this!” Penny paused for dramatic effect. “Harry Styles is the love interest. He supposed to be on set sometime this week.”
           Marinette screamed.
They took a helicopter to the island. It was the best day of her life. She got to meet the goddess that was Zendaya, Her real life prince charming Tom Holland, and the man of her dreams Zac Efron. They were nice. They were sweet. They took so many pictures and videos with her.
When Jagged mentioned Marinette designed most of his wardrobe. Marinette even got to show off her sketch book she had brought when the cast was too busy and it got boring. Zendaya commissioned a dress. She nearly right there.
Then the director got a call, “Okay Harry’s arrived. He’s waiting at the cave. Time to shoot the act 5, scene 1.”
           They all moved to leave.
“Cave?” Marinette found herself asking.
Penny nodded, “Its historically accurate. The real life Captain Wolfblood, the guy who’s treasure everyone wants, supposedly buried his there. Pirates fought and died there all the time trying to find it. Supposed to be cursed. So whoever died was bound there for eternity; their ghosts protect the treasure. Killing all who enter their domain.”
Marinette found herself stopping in her tracks, “Pirate Ghosts.” She stated. “Cursed treasure.”
“Harry Styles…” Penny sang, causing Jagged to give her a sour look.
Harry Styles… For the first time that vacation Marinette was tempted to go. Tempted to risk pirates’ curses and murderous ghosts just to see the man who had caused ten-year-old Marinette to write Mrs. Harry Styles in her diary for a month.
“I actually have to facetime my parents,” Marinette frowned. “Reception terrible out here.”
After promising to meet them for dinner, Marinette booked it off the island. As it faded from sight, and all her wishes of being the future Mrs. Harry Styles burned, she whispered, “You stepped of your game. I’m impressed.” She glared at the window. “But Not today, Satan.”
The dance was a catastrophe. Everyone in class could admit to that. All the girls wore their dresses from the year before. For the first time, there was no live performance. Just Nino’s play music from his phone. Until it died midsong. They forgot to get helium for the balloons, so they had to blow them up themselves. The chips were stale. The punch tasted like rotten bananas. No one alerted the proper staff regarding the dance so no one warned the janitor not to wax the gym floor the night before. Five kids hurt themselves. Alya forgot to get chaperones. And found Damocles and Mendeleiev shut down the entire dance before it even got passed its first hour.
The night of the dance would go down as the best night of Marinette’s life. The director from the day before had liked Marinette so much that gave her the role of Lunaris, mermaid princess, originally played by an actress who had backed out of the role at the last second. Like literally right before they were supposed to shoot her scenes. It was a small role; Marinette didn’t have many lines and only two songs to herself (and fillers song lines throughout the movie). Plus she died. (The entire part took five days to film, and Marinette ended up staying on her vacation an additional two days. Her parents instantly approved; wanting their daughter away from the drama of her ex-friends. However, Marinette would be called in for additional reshoots and scenes, a month later. Then more after that as they would expand her role) She spent the entire time in a mermaid costume. Up until the last act of the movie.
However, her character was in love with Harry Styles’ character, a mermaid prince who became human for chance to win the love of Zendaya’s character. Her character more or less had been the prince’s childhood best friend who never admitted to being in love with him until it was too late. She had spent the entire movie supporting him to win the main character’s heart. Her first song was sang as she helped him escape the underwater kingdom to go to his true love while she hid her own; choosing to put him before herself. The next day it was revealed that they were supposed to have been betrothed and united their kingdoms. Her second song happened after she chose to fight on land to save her friend and taking a killing blow for him; she died singing to the prince about not waiting to tell someone you love until its’ too late; especially if the love’s worth dying for. Or walking on land for.
After shooting her scenes for the day; she was invited by the cast to go meet Chris Heimsworth who was vacationing at a nearby island resort. They were going to go budging jumping of the highest mountain on the Island, near shark infested waters. Again Marinette only had one thing to say to that, “Not today, Satan.” She was not going to fight a shark. Not that week. No matter how much she loved Thor. (She’d later find out Tom Hiddleston was there and cry.)
The fundraiser had cost more than it raised. That was all anyone was willing to say on the subject. Particularly Alya who was missing her eyebrows.
The day of the fundraiser, the Day Marinette was supposed to return home, was bliss. At the end of it, Marinette found herself watching the sunset with Jagged and Penny.
“We should visit mermaid isle,” Penny suggested. “I heard it’s magical. There’s a spot that grants wishes… At a price.”
Marinette didn’t bother to ask for anymore. She just smiled, “Not today, Satan.”
The next morning, the Monday Marinette should have already been back home, instead she was getting ready to shoot some more scene for the movie. Then she got a call.
“Hey Marinette!” Kimi, the director, said. “We were hoping you could come in early today. We have to shoot your death scene.”
“Oh! Sweet! Where?”
“Shark cove. It will be perfect,” Kimi said cheerfully. “This time before your last breath, Harry’s going to kiss you goodbye. So eat a mint.”
Marinette mind froze. Kiss… Harry? “Shark cove?”
“Yeah, we’ll have to be careful not to attract any, you know?” Kimi sighed. “It’ll be a bit dangerous. You okay with that?”
The bluenette wanted to scream no way. But it was a new week. “I’m there,” She said firmly. For a kiss from Harry Styles, she’d do anything.
Vacation time was over. Marinette was going to fight a shark.
When Marinette returned to school on Wednesday, it was to the frustrated faces of her classmates. None of them talked to her. Just glared coldly. Though Alya did give her a sarcastic, welcome back.
Marinette just shrugged and went to sit at her desk next to Chloe and Nathaniel, who were both grinning.
“How was it?” Marinette asked them.
Nathaniel smirked, “Epic! Three fires. Two poisonings. A kid broke his leg. Four more ended up in the emergency room.”
“The play was a disaster,” Chloe added. “The dance was shut down after an hour. The fire department came to the so called fund raiser. You were gone for little more than a week and these morons nearly got themselves killed like four times.”
“We got in on video!” Nathaniel laughed.
           Marinette laughed.
She looked at the stressed and embarrassed students of Bustier’s class, even the teacher looked worse for wear.
           Marinette smirked.
Somebody obviously needed a vacation. Or rather… Everybody.

A new girl shows up and takes Lila's spot but instead of lying she's actually does them but she's two face and tries Lila worse than Lila treats Marinette and Lila looses her followers whenever she tries the same tactics and up like Nettie(who switched classes) Lila for the first time is genuinely miserable like Mari for real ( will give u an idea 4 a sequel after this)
Here you go! Sorry it took longer than I would have like, but I had sudden job interview. Now that it is over, I had some time to write! :)
Hope you like it!
Lila was happy with how things were going in her life right now. The class was completely under her spell. They believed anything that she says and look at her like she hung the moon. She had succeeded in making that pathetic Marinette miserable. Marinette was so miserable she even switched classes. Sure, Adrien knows she is a liar. But Adrien can’t say anything, since Mr. Agreste has forbidden it. Yeah, life was going well for Lila. That was, until, Sadie arrived
 ----------------
It had been a normal weekend for Lila, she had been coming up with new stories to tell the class on Monday. She was sure these new stories would keep the class singing her praises for a while. As she walked towards class, she heard the class already chatting excitedly. It is common knowledge that Lila doesn’t like attention not being on her. So, she got ready to tell another story, to get the focus back on her where it belonged. Not like the class was talking about anything important, probably just talking about whatever stupid thing they had done that weekend. But just as Lila entered the classroom, a new lie on her tongue, when she noticed someone new.
  ----------------
The class was surrounding a girl that Lila didn’t recognize, and this girl was sitting in Lila’s seat. This girl had long black hair that reached to the base of her spine, and blue eyes. She was wearing a yellow floral sundress, with a black cardigan and black flats. Lila was furious seeing this strange girl sitting in her seat. Lila had worked hard to manipulate her way into that seat by Adrien, and she wasn’t just going to let it go. She sauntered up to the group, “Well, hello. Are you new?” Alya turned, now realizing that her bestie had arrived, “Oh, Lila! Good morning. This is Sadie, she just transferred here from America. Her dad is a marine and has been stationed to guard the American embassy here in Paris. She was just telling us about some of her adventures. Can you believe it, it sounds like you two have been running in the same circles!” That confused Lila, what did Alya mean by that? “What do you mean Alya?” “Well, Sadie was saying how she has also worked for several go-green organizations, and has also helped out a bunch of celebrities. She also knows a bunch of Hollywood actors, from when her dad was stationed in San Diego. She even has tinnitus like you, she and her dad were visiting a friend at an air force base and she got lost. She wandered to close to a plane and nobody noticed her so her hearing was damaged. That is why she is sitting up front too. You guys can be desk mates!” Lila paled at that. She had worked so hard to get a seat next to Adrien. “But Alya, what about Adrien? Where will he sit?” “Don’t worry Lila, Adrien was fine with the seat change since another student needed to sit up front. He will sit where Marinette used to, near Nathaniel.” Lila was fuming, but she couldn’t exactly do anything about it without looking bad. So, she just smiled and played along, sitting down in Adrien’s old spot.
  ----------------
The rest of the morning hadn’t gone any better for Lila. She had tried several times to get the attention back on her, but no matter what she did, the class only wanted to talk to and about Sadie. It was infuriating. Not even Lila’s new stories were enough to capture the class’ attention. Anytime Lila mentioned something she had done, Sadie had done it too, but bigger and better. Worse yet, is that Sadie appeared to be telling the truth. The go-green charities that she claimed to help start, all had official websites and awards and Sadie was always listed on those websites as a founding member. There were even videos of her at some of the award ceremonies. Sadie also had pictures with every single celebrity that Lila had also claimed to know.  And not just one picture, like they had just happened to meet by chance, but several pictures. Some looked like they had even been taken at parties. And when Mrs. Bustier had finally arrived, Sadie had an actual doctor’s note for the tinnitus. The little brat had been telling the truth all morning.
  ----------------
Lila hadn’t been this angry since Marinette had challenged her. This meant that Lila would have to go to war again. This Sadie girl seemed just like Marinette. Kind and sickeningly sweet. Lila thought this meant that Sadie would be just as easy to destroy, but she was very wrong. The next day, Lila cornered Sadie in the bathroom and threatened her. “I don’t like sharing the spotlight newbie. So, you are going to stop trying to hog all the attention. I worked hard to become the queen in this class, so you can either bow down or get out of the way. I already eliminated that Marinette girl and I can do the same to you too. The choice is yours, you can either give me back the attention I deserve or I can destroy you.” Sadie just smiled at Lila, but in a way that felt very threatening. “No, here is what is going to happen. Alya told me all about your stories and it is clear that you are lying. I am the real deal. The rest of the class already thinks I am a saint. You may have been the queen, but your reign is over. I am in charge now. If you tell the class anything about this conversation, or try and ‘destroy’ me I can promise you the only one that will be destroyed is you. I may seem nice, but I am not some push over, and I will not be dictated to by some liar who is so desperate for a cool life that she had to make one up. As far as I am concerned, we are enemies. I am going to make your life hell-” Sadie seemed to want to say more, but just then Rose poked her head into the bathroom and told them it was almost time for class. Sadie quickly wiped the glare from her face and smiled at Rose. “Thanks Rose, I’m coming. See you in a minute Lila.” With that Sadie walked out of the bathroom, chatting happily with Rose. Lila was shocked. She had thought that Sadie was a goodie-two-shoes, she hadn’t expected her to be so cold and hostile. If Sadie wanted to be enemies, then Lila was willing to play that game.
  ----------------
Despite Lila’s best efforts, nothing was working. Sadie had quickly become the class darling and everybody loved her, much to Lila’s annoyance. And what was worse was that Sadie had started tormenting Lila. Lila had never gone so far as to physically attack Marinette herself, but Sadie had no problem attacking Lila every time the two were alone together. So far, Sadie had tripped her close to a dozen times, trapped her in two closets, and had even spilled food all over her. But the class never saw any of this happen. Sadie was really good at finding just the right moment to strike. Lila had tried talking to the class several times, but they never believed her. “Oh Lila, Sadie wouldn’t do that.” “It must have been someone else.” “Maybe you just got confused.” Lila was at the end of her rope.
  ----------------
What was worse was anytime that Lila tried to talk to the class, Sadie started to poison the class against her. It started small, Sadie started asking the class, “How could Lila say I would do all those mean things? Did I do something wrong?” The class fell all over themselves to tell Sadie she hadn’t done anything. Then the class began to wonder why Lila was so insistent it was Sadie. When Lila didn’t stop trying to convince the class, Sadie continued her assault, both physically and socially. She was playing the long game with turning the class against Lila. It was so gradual it was hardly noticeable.
  ----------------
Eventually, when Lila still hadn’t gotten the message, Sadie pulled out the big guns. First, she started fulfilling the promises that Lila had made. She started introducing the class to celebrities in the field they each wanted to go into. She introduced Alya to people at the New York Times, Nathaniel to the editors at Marvel, and even helped Kitty Section get a meeting with some big-time music producer in LA. Then she started wondering aloud to the class why Lila hadn’t already done all this for them. When the grumblings in the class continued to grow, Sadie went for the killing blow. She accused Lila of attacking her. “Lila was so mad. She wanted to be the one to introduce you to all these people. She told me that if I keep doing this then she will make my life hell!” Sadie even threw in some realistic fake tears, not fake sobs like how Lila used to do. Now the whole class had turned against Lila.
  ----------------
Lila’s life had become miserable. She was the class outcast, the only time someone talked to her was to make rude comments or tell her off about ‘how she is treating Sadie’. Thankfully, her lies hadn’t been exposed yet, somehow. She was worried though. Sadie kept getting closer to exposing her with each day. In an attempt to stop that from happening, Lila stopped trying to go after Sadie. Sadie stopped going further with her stories about Lila, but she was still making Lila miserable. She kept tripping her and shoving her and now the rest of the class had joined in. Lila’s stuff was routinely destroyed to the point that Lila didn’t even bring anything she didn’t need to class anymore. Right now, Lila was on another ‘trip with her mother’ and skipping school. She had tried switching classes like that loser Marinette had, but her request was denied. All the other classes were full at the moment. She also tried to convince her mom to let her change schools entirely, but her mother didn’t want her to switch schools in the middle of the year. Lila was stuck and had lost all her power. She was no longer the queen of the class, but was treated more like a prisoner. Sadie had won the war.

“Tongue Tied” Maribat Mondays ‘Mute’

Damian didn’t have a soulmate and he was fine with that fact.
Well ‘fine’ wasn’t the right word but he had learned to accept it. It wouldn’t have been acceptable in the League of Assassins and it’s not like he needed one after seventeen years of not having one. Damian would never admit it but he did feel...inferior sometimes when he saw all of his family who had soulmates. Only 2% of the population didn’t have one.
Dick had Kor’i, Tim had Connor, Jason had Roy, his father had Selina, and Damian was pretty sure even Alfred had one (though the old man never said who it was). Where did that leave Damian?
At first he had thought it might be Mar’i, the Grayson spawn. Then he thought maybe Emiko. He had even considered Jon! Sometimes he wondered if he even had liked any of them romantically or if he was just trying to make up for his lack of a soulmate.
Not that it mattered. It wasn’t like Damian cared if he had anyone special. He’d been used to being ignored or judged all his life. His own father had forgotten his birthday and of course he was pitted against his cousin as a child. One less person to judge him? One less person to ignore him? Sounded fine to Damian. It definitely didn’t bother him when his father wasn’t there for his thirteenth birthday, he’d call anyone ridiculous for suggesting such a thing, but did he really need someone else to forget birthdays? Compare him? No.
Damian Wayne didn’t need a soulmate.

Marinette was late.
Shocker.
She rushed to the bus, hair a half brushed mess and Tikki just barely making it into her purse.
“Wait!” She yelled before the bus pulled away. As she hopped on the bus out of breath she watched as Miss Bustier shook her head and tutted disapprovingly.
“Marinette what did I say about setting an example?” She said quietly placing a hand on the girl’s shoulder. Marinette shoved it off, the whole ordeal made her angrier than normal and it could surely only get worse. Marinette walked slowly to the back of the bus ignoring the whispers.
Alya and Lila sat together rolling their eyes at her and as always Sabrina and Chloé openly shunned her. Marinette sat alone with misery as she watched Adrien look at her out of pity and snap his head back. Marinette sighed and was prepared to put her headphones in until they reached Wayne Enterprises, but of course before she could reach the safe haven of melody Lila had to open her big mouth.
“You know my soulmate lives in Gotham!” Lila said causing everyone on the bus, save Marinette, to stop what they were doing and listen to Lila. Alya brightened next to her best friend, “OMG Girl! Who is he?!” Lila giggled.
“Well you may have heard of him so make sure to keep quiet about it, but he’s Damian Wayne!”
“Bruce Wayne’s son?!” Alya marveled, Lila nodded with feigned modesty. “Woah! What kind of bond do you have?!”
“Well, until I met him at one of the Wayne galas when we were eight I couldn’t see the color of his eyes and he couldn’t see the color of mine. When we saw each other it was like the world exploded into blue!” Lila sighed. Rose swooned, “So romantic!”
“Doesn’t Damian Wayne have green eyes?” Asked a quiet voice. Everyone turned to Nathaniel, Lila shooting daggers with her eyes.
“Well-“ she started nervously.
“Wait, Adrien, dude, haven’t you met Damian Wayne?” Nino asked to the blonde sitting next to him.
Lila visibly paled though Marinette didn’t know why. It wasn’t as if Adrien ‘spineless’ Agreste was going to speak against her.
“Yeah I did.” Adrien gulped, “He has blue eyes…” Marinette rolled her eyes and put in her music, Adrien was such a hypocrite. First saying that as long as they knew the truth everything was fine to openly lying for Lie-la.
“Can I see your soulmark?” Asked Rose, she loved seeing the romantic mark that was received on both soulmates after they met each other.
“Well- I- it’s in a private space if you know what I mean!” Lila chuckled.
“Don’t worry, Lila, we believe you.” Adrien said.
“So annoying.” Marinette whispered into her purse. She saw Tikki give her a confused look. She didn’t realize why until she spoke again, “What?” But no sound came out. Marinette started yelling frantically only for no sound to come out once more.
“What’s going on?!” Tikki asked in a hushed whisper. Marinette shrugged and went into full panic mode. She ran through the possible scenarios of why she had gone mute. A miraculous side effect? But glancing at the tiny red goddess next to her who was as confused as Marinette that couldn’t have been the case. An akuma? No they were out of Hawkmoth’s range. Maybe Lila was an evil witch who cast a spell on her? Well probably not, Lila was less of a witch and more of a b-
Suddenly it hit her. Marinette grabbed her notebook and began scribbling furiously. She shoved it next to Tikki who read it wordlessly.
There’s a soulmate connection that activates when the two are in a certain radius of each other, until they meet the two will be mute. The bond is really rare.
Tikki brightened, “That’s wonderful Marinette!” She exclaimed as she continued to whisper not to alert anyone around Marinette (not that the class could care less about her).
What are you talking about Tikki?! This is a disaster!
Tikki gave Marinette a puzzled look. Marinette looked like she was sighing though no audio came out.
Gotham is huge! There’s no way I’ll find my soulmate before the trip is over! Then I’ll be mute forever! I won’t be able to be Ladybug if I can’t say the transformation phrase! Then Paris will be doomed! Hawkmoth will win and I’ll never get a hamster or meet my soulmate or-
“Marinette!” Tikki flew back into Marinette’s purse in a flash and Marinette shut her notebook abruptly. Miss Bustier stood in front of her. “Are you ready?” She asked expectantly. Marinette gulped and nodded noticing everyone else had already exited the bus. Sighing silently Marinette stepped out of the bus and became face to face with Wayne Enterprises.

Damian had been complaining about the fact that he had to come with Grayson to meet the school kids for their tour. Dick pointed out Damian was in school which lead to Damian’s signature “TT.”
Only this time something was wrong. Damian no longer heard his voice. He started to say something again only for no sound to come out. Dick gave him a confused look before brightening.
“YOUR SOULMATE!” Damian winced at Grayson’s volume. He lifted an eyebrow as to say “what of it.”
“You must have the mute soul bond! I bet your soulmate is in the French class! Oh my gosh I can’t wait to meet them!” He practically squealed. Damian was about to protest, after all, there were plenty more plausible reasons for his sudden muteness and it could’ve been sheer coincidence that the French class came when (if) his soulmate came to Gotham. “It’s so romantic! When you guys meet you’ll be able to speak again! Then your soulmark will appear!” Dick all but swooned.
“I prefer him mute.” Commented a low voice. Dick and Damian whipped their heads around to see Jason, who was certainly not dressed to be in a formal work environment, smirking at the situation. “As much as I like Demon Spawn silent, do you really think he has a soulmate?” Jason asked raising a cocky brow trying to get a rise out of the youngest Wayne. Damian retaliated shouting words at Todd...which he couldn’t hear. Jason starting snickering at his brother’s predicament.
“Come on Jay, be nice!” Dick said, “Besides it’s not like-“
Dick was cut off by the sound of the double doors of Wayne Enterprises opening. An Italian girl with quite untasteful hair, green eyes, and an ugly orange ensemble walked into the building as if she owned it. She was followed by an entourage of students. Damian recognized one as Adrien Agreste, he never liked that boy, far too much of a pushover. When Adrien met his gaze a look of panic flashed across his face before he averted his gaze.
“Odd,” Damian remarked silently as he was rendered mute from whatever cruel trick the universe decided to play on him. Damian sighed although nobody could hear it, that would take some getting used to, he hoped his torture would end soon.
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]
Marinette hoped her torture would end soon. Her other classmates, people she had once called friends, were picking on her before they had left her to go into the Wayne Enterprises building. Lila has tried to rile Marinette up by mentioning ever so craftily that the Italian had a soulmate whereas nobody would ever want to be with a bully like her.
The fact that her muteness came into play and Marinette couldn’t say a word back only made it worse. When Lila couldn’t get a response out of the bluenette she shoved her into a nearby rose bush with all too many thorns.
Marinette hadn’t missed the winces from the sudden display of violence that had come from Alya, Adrien, Rose, Mylené, Juleka and surprisingly Chloé (though Chloé had tormented her she wasn’t about to get her hands dirty and get physical). That didn’t change the fact that they didn’t do anything to help her. They simply let her sit in the bush picking thorns out of her skin while they walked into Wayne Enterprises. And of course teacher of the year Caline Bustier hadn’t seen a thing either.
Marinette sulked as she picked out more thorns, at this rate, she'd never be done. They had probably already convinced Miss Bustier to leave her behind. She could feel Tikki subtly helping out with the rose bush thorns from behind where she couldn’t be spotted and where Marinette couldn’t reach. She turned around to her kwami and gave her a subtle smile. Tikki gave her a sad one back, in all her years she never had a holder who had been treated in such a manner.
Marinette felt slightly victorious as she plucked out the very last thorn from her shoulder and stood up carefully walking out of the rose bush. She ran her fingers through her hair noticing that she’d need to take her pigtails out because on had gotten too many thorns in it. She sighed as she let her hair down, something she seldom did, and walked into Wayne Enterprises.
Little did she know, she’d have an uproar awaiting her.
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]
“Good morning!” Dick greeted as he walked towards the French class. “Before I begin the tour, is this everyone?” The red haired French teacher didn’t look around before nodding.
Dick furrowed his brows. Damian was unsettled by the teacher’s reaction, but it was probable that she had done a headcount before they left the bus. Dick clasped his hands together, “Okay! I’m Dick Grayson and I’ll be your tour guide along with my brothers Jason Todd-“
“Nah count me out.” Jason said in English, “I only came here because Tim forgot his coffee and since I was the only one home he wouldn’t fucking leave me alone about it.” Dick sighed, rolling his eyes.
“I’ll be your tour guide,” he started again in French, “And my brother Damian Wayne will be too.”
Damian’s eyes scanned over the crowd falling on Adrien once again who had looked as if he was going to be sick. Damian raised an eyebrow, the leader of the flock of French students shared the same expression.
“Wait,” said the redhead girl who was standing next to the leader of the students, “Didn’t you say Damian Wayne was your soulmate?” She smiled. Damian scowled, this wasn’t the first time something like that had happened but he wasn’t keen on dealing with it when he had no voice.
“Um yeahhh.” The brunette laughed nervously, “This must be a different Damian Wayne, the last name is very popular!” Damian wished he had his voice just so he could point that the opposite was true.
“But Richard Grayson,” begun a tall dark haired girl with all black covering her, “Lila, that’s one of Bruce Wayne’s sons and he said that this Damian Wayne was his brother.” The Lila girl paled.
“And didn’t you say Damian Wayne’s eyes were blue?” Asked one of the other students. Damian smirked, he did like seeing justice getting served.
“Wait! Adrien said that too!” Suddenly everyone’s eyes were on Adrien.
“Wait dude, I thought you meet Damian Wayne.” Adrien looked as if he was drenched in sweat.
Suddenly another person burst through the door. Damian couldn’t see who it was because the crowd was blocking the view, whoever it was must’ve been petite. He did hear the teacher call out, “Marinette! Where have you been?”
“Wait, so you were missing someone?” Dick asked rubbing his temples, “What a mess,” he whispered to Damian. Damian rolled his eyes, he had dealt with far worse than this.
“Marinette, you’re supposed to set an example! Why were you gone?” The teacher asked sternly. No response. The Lila girl took the opportunity where the negative attention wasn’t focused on her.
“She’s such a bully Miss Bustier, she threatened me before we came in here! I bet she went to find something to hurt me with!” She began to cry. Even though just seconds ago the students knew she had been lying they comforted her. Damian couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
While they consoled the liar Miss Bustier pulled the Marinette student with her. Damian was finally able to get a good look, she was short as suspected with gorgeous blue hair and bluebell eyes, she was pale and obviously of Asian decent. His eyes traveled to her lips.
“Wow.” He heard himself say. Damian jumped. He glanced at Dick, “Did you hear that?!” Dick nodded,
“That must be your soulmate!” He exclaimed.
“Not necessarily, I-“
“Only one way to find out!” Dick grinned. He took Damian by the hand and pulled him over to the girl and the teacher.
“Marinette! Stop ignoring me and speak!” Miss Bustier shouted. The girl looked exhausted. Dick tapped her on the shoulder. Marinette spun around to be met with Damian’s face. She blushed as she almost slipped.
Damian caught her as she tumbled backwards, “Thank you monsieur!” She said. “I can speak again!” She exclaimed to no one in particular.
As Damian took her hand to lift her back to her center of gravity he noticed that a robin picture had appeared on her hand. He had a matching ladybug on the hand he helped her up with. He cracked a small smile.
“I guess we're soulmates.”
—Bonus—
“Lila Rossi I presume,” Damian said as he walked with Marinette over to the liar who was still being wrapped in a hug by her classmates. Lila smiled nervously when she saw who was standing before her.
“Oh uh hi, listen what happened back there-“
“Save it.” Damian said narrowing his eyes, “Expect a call from my lawyers.” He said. Lila retreated out of the building causing Miss Bustier to run after her.
“But Damian!” Adrien cried.
“Don’t you dare.” Damian heard Marinette say next to him. He was surprised by the amount of bite in her voice. “Lila’s lies were hurting people, your refusal to tell the truth was hurting people. Consider yourself lucky that Lila’s lying didn’t get all of you in trouble.”
“You know she was lying?! Why didn’t you tell us?” Alya shouted to Marinette.
“I told you multiple times. I stopped because none of you listened.” She deadpanned. Damian couldn’t help but be impressed, his soulmate had a handle on things. “And Adrien knew too. He didn’t say anything at all.”
“You lied for her dude?!” Said Nino folding his arms remembering him covering for Lila when Nathaniel pointed out Damian Wayne’s eye color. Adrien guiltily nodded and Nino shook his head, “Not cool.”
“Come on guys! I just didn’t want Lila to get akumatized.” Adrien said waving his hands in surrender.
“They were all lies!” Alya cried as she searched through her phone. “I had to write lies on my blog! I lost over half of my followers, I thought they were just jealous of Lila!”
“Lila told me that she could partner me with one of the best Manga artists in Japan so I stopped working with Marc. We broke up because of her lies!”
“Prince Ali told me he wouldn’t talk to me anymore because of the people I spend my time with! I was so confused and when I asked him about Lila he said he didn’t know her, Lila just told me that he was protecting her by not speaking about her. I lost my best friend!”
“Seems like you should’ve listened to my soulmate.” Damian spat before taking Marinette by the hand and leading her away.
“We’re sorry Marinette.”
“A lot that does now.” Marinette said as she followed Damian without looking back. “Thank you.” She whispered into his ear.
“No problem Angel.”

hi... + BEFORE Sneak Peek
Sorry for not posting, yesterday. long story short, i was exausted. i have morning classes on tuesdays and thursdays. usually that means Mondays and Wednesdays have to be early nights.
beyound that, i stayed late at work. anyways something fun that i mentioned should be out tomorrow. kinda a surprise...
heres a peek!
Three years before A Moment in Time. One year after Hawkmoth appeared.
Marinette Dupain Cheng is sitting at her desk. Second row back, left side. Making her way up the stairs is her friend Alya Césaire. The two girls have been practically inseparable for the last year.
Fuming one row down on the other side of the aisle is Chloé Bourgeoise. Her eyes are glued to where Marinette is smiling at Alya. Nino Lahiffe is sitting in front of Marinette. His headphones are on, and his hand is moving over a sheet of paper that has a music staff on it.
Adrien Agreste can be seen bounding up the stairs, his eyes alight with the joy of going to school, even a year after he started.
Behind Marinette and Alya are Rose and Juleka. Across from them are Ivan and Nathaniel. Behind the boys are Alix and Kim, who are across form Mylene and Sabrina.
Max is sitting behind the two girls by himself. In the empty seat next to him, the tech genius has a computer running through a code that he is trying to double check. As they classmates greet each other during the first day of school, Madam Bustier can be seen enter into the room, one Lila Rossi walking behind her curiously.
