"This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest. It's a quest for fun. You're gonna have fun, and I'm gonna have fun... We're all gonna have so much fucking fun we're gonna need plastic surgery to remove our goddamn smiles!"

Cousin Eddie: How do you like yours, Clark?
Clark: Oh, medium-rare, a little pink inside.
CousinEddie: No, your bun. Light or dark?
Clark:Oh. Either way, it doesn't matter.
Cousin Eddie: Mm-mm-mm, I don't know why they call this stuff Hamburger Helper. It does just fine by itself. I like it better than Tuna Helper myself. Don't you, Clark?
Clark: You're the gourmet around here, Eddie. There's no meat in this?
Ellen: You get plenty of meat at home
Clark: You're the gourmet around here, Eddie. Real tomato ketchup, Eddie?
Cousin Eddie: Oh, nothing but the best!

2024 Fan Expo Boston - Day 2
This weekend was the 2024 Fan Expo Boston convention at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from Fri. June 14 to Sun. June 16. Here at Green’s Party, I’ve been covering the convention! Read my coverage here.
On Saturday, I stopped by in the afternoon. Loads of cosplayers, gamers and fans were out in full force.

Actor Ethan Supplee has become quite a "that guy" actor over the years. He has become a big part of Kevin Smith's Viewaskewniverse appearing as Willam in Mallrats and a number of his other films. But he's also become a reliable character actor notably in American History X, The Wolf of Wall Street, and TV's My Name is Earl.

Suplee and Johnny Depp in Blow (2001)
I first met Mr. Supplee in 1998 at Kevin Smith's Vulgarthon in Red Bank, NJ where he was in attendance and signed an autograph. Later in 1998 I was an intern at Spanky Pictures, the production company of the late great Ted Demme. One of the films that was in development at the time was Blow and when that was released in 2001, Suplee played Johnny Depp's friend Tuna. I asked Mr. Suplee about working with Ted on that film. "He was a lot of fun. He was a very gregarious, sweet, kind man. When we went to Mexico he had dinner every night with the cast. It was cool. He was a good guy" he said.

ASL translator, Barron (in red), D'Angelo, Quaid, Chase and moderator Victor Dandridge
Among the attendees at this year's fest there was a reunion of the cast of National Lampoon's Vacation: Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Randy Quaid and Dana Barron. The 1983 comedy written by John Hughes and directed by Harold Ramis about family's road trip vacation has become a classic and it spawned several sequels (some good, some bad), but always highly quotable. All of the actors joined together for a conversation panel. Chase was kind of a wise guy (I wonder if he's leaning into his reputation) but they all had some fun stories. They talked a lot about improvising in the films, using cue cards, and the lasting impact of the franchise. There were some funny moments of them talking over each other too.
Watch for more of my coverage of Sunday's Fan Expo Boston!

Digital Noise Episode 328: Water Stream Swamp Tank DIGITAL NOISE EPISODE 328: WATER STREAM SWAMP TANK John and Chris take on this Herculean task of reviewing this massive stack of home releases. From a 4k upgrade to one of John’s all time fave superhero movies, to them disagreeing whether a new horror comedy is one of the best or worst ever. From giving credit where it’s due to a sorely underrated but over budgeted apocalypse film, to Christopher Walken basically being Hannibal in an A-Teamish movie. Lots to talk about, lots of fun to be had listening. All titles were sent to Digital Noise by the distribution companies… Read More »Digital Noise Episode 328: Water Stream Swamp Tank read more on One of Us
