You yawned as you tested the milk in your hand, warm but not enough to burn your baby's tongue, perfect. Zoro was in a bad mood in the kitchen eating something, he had been beaten by Mihawk in the last training session and you suspected it was because the pirate was always lost in the castle and opening the doors with great force, which made a huge noise and always it made your baby start crying, irritated when awakened from his sleep. Which also made the older man a little irritated that someone was disturbing his son's sleep.

You made a mental note to try talk to your husband, although to be honest you were uncomfortable too. His son was a needy little boy and when he started crying he would stay like that for hours, until his throat got tired and he went back to sleep, so having to deal with it several times because Zoro kept waking him up was really frustrating.

You walked through the hallways, now with furniture all prepared to be baby proof, no furniture with pointy ends, no sliding rugs, doors in front of the stairs and other changes. At first you thought that Mihawk would be uncomfortable with the changes, to his surprise he took responsibility for changing everything without you even talking about it first. He spent weeks moving furniture, buying or making objects to close doors or round edges, he even made himself available to remove carpets and pictures, even going overboard with the protection.

Your husband has always been a very protective person, even before he was your husband or boyfriend. When he was just flirting, or courting, he was always very concerned about your ntegrity. If you were traveling, would he always give you the best accommodations, extreme climates? He has everything prepared, clothes and even medicine for illnesses, that is if he doesn't change the entire route of the trip to prevent inconvenience.

As you progressed in your relationship, the more protective Mihawk became, he would never be possessive or controlling, he was just genuinely concerned about your comfort and safety and felt it was his obligation as a lover to provide you with the best. Of course he respected you, after all you were also a man and a fighter, you were not weak in any way, it was your strength and intelligence that made Mihawk attract and fall in love with you in the first place. But living a life as a "pirate", an ally of the navy or just someone very strong in the grand line meant that your loved ones and even you were at risk of death at all times. He would never want to lose you and that's why he never let his guard down.

It was no different with his son, he wanted to give him a safe and as normal childhood as possible, thus arriving at this extremely careful point. He was already planning his son's diet and he wasn't even eating so many solid things yet...

"Almost there dear, it's papa, mi hijo, papa" You heard through the half-open door, there was an area of the castle that was closed just for the three of you. Even Zoro and Perona knew to stay away from that part, it being your private wing.

There was the bedroom where you two slept, a common room with the fireplace where you two usually stayed, a bathroom, a library next to the balcony and of course, your son's room. It was almost a complete house, except that it was inside a huge castle with many other rooms.

You stopped watching your husband next to your son, Mihawk was now wearing casual clothes although his shirt was more open, contact with the parents' skin was good for babies, he had told you. The baby laughed in his arms, trying to touch the adult's face with his chubby little hands. He wore thicker baby clothes to protect himself from the cold on the island, as your husband insisted that just the fireplace wasn't enough. The outfit was dark red with bat symbols, Perona had given away saying that the cute baby needed to maintain one parent's vampire reputation.

"Baba!" Your son exclaimed excitedly, laughing again, your husband's affectionate look and smile made your heart melt and your stomach feel strange.

For many, Mihawk was a cruel and merciless man, who could effortlessly cut through ships and defeat thousands of swordsmen at the same time without breaking a sweat. For you? Ah... To you, he was a loving man, a man who always brought gifts from every island he visited, who always had fresh flowers to give you, a man who would kill anyone who dared to offend you for being in a relationship with another man. For you, he was your husband.

"I'll only forgive your terrible pronunciation because you're too cute," Your husband said, shaking his son again.

"I think baba suits you a lot" You smiled entering the room, your husband had been trying to teach Spanish to your little baby for some time. Although this turned out to be a much longer task than he imagined.

"Of course I do" He mocked looking at you smiling, it's not like he could contradict you.

"Papa!" Your baby said excitedly and soon his attention was all on you, his little hands stretched out trying to reach you as quickly as possible.

"Why can he get the pronunciation right with you?" Mihawk looked at you confused and envious as he passed the child to you.

"Because he likes to annoy you" You smiled, rubbing your face with the chubby and soft face of your baby who laughed at the contact.

"Well, he got it out of you then..." Mihawk teased as he adjusted the chair so you were comfortable breastfeeding.

"Of course yes" You sat in the chair and then placed your son next to the bottle, he quickly held the bottle as he began to drink the milk. His eyes soon started to get tired and he relaxed against you, after all it was close to time for him to fall asleep.

"I should order a painting of you two like this, it would be the most beautiful work of art I have ever seen..." He sighed looking at the two of you with love, for him it seemed like a dream, so much peace with the people he loved most.

"He wouldn't be able to stay still for that long" You laughed, your baby used to be quite energetic, which had created some good confusion with you guys losing him in the huge castle.

“It would be worth a try” He chuckled and walked closer to you, caressing your cheek and then placing a kiss on your forehead. "I can put him to bed today, you should take a shower and rest."

"You already did this yesterday, I don't get that tired taking care of him, you practically do everything." You sighed, your husband always wanted to take the weight off your shoulders since he used to travel a lot. However, your son really wasn't that big of a job, now with Perona and Zoro here and the instability of the world government, you doubted that Mihawk would travel anytime soon, so your job was even easier since you shared it with your husband.

"Humpf" He huffed, he always sulked when you didn't allow him to take care of everything.

"Let's put him to bed together... Then after that we'll have some time just for the two of us" You suggested smiling, your baby had now let go of the bottle and was yawning, showing that he was ready to end the day.

"You know how to convince me, don't you?" Mihawk smiled, taking the empty bottle as you stood up with your baby.

"Of course, how do you think I got you to marry me?" You played with him. Soon you were running around the baby's room to rock him, your son clung to you yawning and finishing digesting the warm milk you had provided. Luckily he didn't give much work on that part.

When he had calmed down enough to be practically asleep, Mihawk had already prepared the crib, also carrying some stuffed animals and blankets in case you decided to add something else. You walked over with your baby and gently placed him in the crib, then he stretched out completely and then curled up again in a ball, grabbing a sword plush and messing up the blanket there.

"Sword?" You said looking confused at the plushie of a sword, you didn't remember having one of those. You then asked your husband.

You only met a proud, red-faced Mihawk if you had seen your son doing the most graceful thing possible.

"We have to start familiarizing him as soon as possible," he said, smiling to disguise that he had bought the plush hidden from you.

"Oh yeah? Familiarize our baby with his father's swordsmanship legacy?" You said, crossing your arms and smiling at him, you even wanted to pretend to be angry but you couldn't, not with him being so cute like that.

"Of course, he will be a great swordsman in the future" Mihawk said proudly, you raised your eyebrow.

"Of course, then he's going to beat Roronoa and then come kick his own father's ass, it seems like something my son would do" You said proudly leaving the room, knowing that Mihawk would now be thinking about the fact that one day he would fight seriously with his son, knowing he would never be able to hurt his own child.

It didn't take long for Mihawk to come up behind you with a thoughtful face as he too got ready for bed.

"Well... He's still young, we can't say if he'll actually be a swordsman" He said coughing embarrassedly as he sat next to you on the bed.

"Of course... Another thing" Mihawk said with flushed cheeks, he also knew that you knew. It was shameful for him to know that his husband knew him so well.

“You really like teasing me…” He sighed as the two of you cuddled together on the bed, ready to spend some time together before bed. And well, you couldn't deny it, your biggest fun was seeing the merciless and cruel Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in the world, reduced to a soft-hearted, caring husband and father who would do anything for his husband and son. skunk has a band with his friends from high school named bathtub cigarettes. their vibe ?? angry midwest emo meets folk punk. we already know skunk is the drummer, so you might as well get familiar with the rest of the band !!

earl - lead vocals.

earl is twenty-two years old, non-binary trans-masc, uses they/them/theirs pronouns, and is loudly and proudly queer. when they aren't singing for the band, they are working as a bartender for a small dive bar right down the street from the bathtub cigarettes house. they rock a buzz cut that is dyed in a red and black checkerboard pattern. their favorite things ?? grape flavored candies, modello, roller skating, and black and milds ( specifically wood tip wine flavored ones ). earl can seem stand offish at first due to their protectiveness of their friends. to earl, the band is their family. once you get to know them, they will begin to open up, and show you how much of a goofball they can really be. earl met skunk for the first time in high school, specifically during their freshman year math class. they've been inseparable since.

mikey - guitar.

mikey is twenty-one years old, a cis-man that uses he/him/his pronouns, and is so unapologetically queer. when he's not rocking out on the guitar, you can find him making lattes at a coffee shop downtown. his hair is long and dyed black, the strands that frame his face have been dyed bright purple. his favorite things ?? malboro 100's, bush apple, fireball, cats, and skateboarding. mikey is incredibly scatter brained, bubbly, and goofy. he can be really unreliable at times and has been banned from making any group plans for the band ( due to him often forgetting he made the plans in the first place ). mikey met earl his junior year of high school and they have been best friends ( and partners ) ever since. earl keeps mikey on track, trying to steer their partner in the right direction. the two have been dating for five years now. mikey is always late to band practice even though he lives in the house that they practice in.

karp - bass.

karp is twenty-two years old, a trans-woman, and uses she/her/hers pronouns. karp is a lesbian and will not be afraid to tell you that, often making jokes about her shortly trimmed fingernails. when she's not playing bass for the band, she works as an apprentice at a local tattoo shop. yes, she is responsible for most of the bands tattoos. her hair is styled into a shaggy and choppy mullet that has been dyed lime green. her favorite things ?? menthol cigarettes, steel reserves, pop punk, roller skating, and animals. karp is incredibly kind an thoughtful, she would give her shirt off her back if she needed to. she met skunk in high school, specifically in concert band. she played percussion with skunk, and they hit it off right away. karp is the creator of the name 'bathtub cigarettes', drawing inspiration from late nights in her childhood trailer home, smoking cigarettes that they had stolen from their father with skunk in the bathtub.

martin - banjo/backup vocals.

martin is twenty three years old, non-binary trans-femme, and uses they/she/he pronouns. martin is bisexual with no preferences. his hair is styled into a mohawk that is dyed navy blue. when they aren't performing with the band, they work as a freelance artist, spending most of their time spray painting the sides of buildings with skunk. their favorite things ?? malboro reds shorts, montucky cold snacks, 80's grunge/punk music, and roller derby. martin has a very warm and caring heart, she is almost like a parental figure to the band. she loves to crack jokes and make others laugh. martin met karp in an after school board game club and was quickly introduced to the rest of the group. everyone quickly took them under their wing, seeing how perfectly they fit with everyone else.

So Incase anyone hasn't seen the other posts about this queer little au, Haru is a cis lesbian and Makoto is a trans lesbian and they're as married as people can be without the legal part.

Things weren't always so smooth for them though!

They met in highschool, they were in the same class. Makoto had been transferred to a school on the other end of the city to start fresh, and this was the first time she truly was. Makoto. They were friends for a good while before the feelings got too intense to hide, and well. We know how it turned out

Sae is fond of Haru immediately. How could she not be? A respectable girl that treats her little sister well? An automatic win in her books

Haru's father is, not as easily won over. He originally was trying to get Haru to marry Sugimura, and at first she was just, folding and following his wishes. But, eventually she learns to stand up for herself and comes out to her father

He. Doesn't understand it, not really, but he doesn't want to push his only daughter away. So. He's making steps to understand and accept her and her wife

Like, he gets a little lesbian flag pin he puts on his work blazer. To show his dedication to supporting his little girl even if he'll never really, get it. He doesn't have to. As long as she's happy, and living a healthy life, he can live with that

They had a mock ceremony! Since they didn't get legally married, they still wanted to have, the promises and the dancing and such so they had a little wedding. Haru wore a lilac dress, a hate with the vale, the bright red lipstick-

Makoto in a nice navy suit, the little lily and lilac in her pocket, the inside of her little vest being the trans flag, wearing her big stompy boots, treating their friends and family to an open bar-

And. They danced, a dramatic little waltz, to some song from a spy flick they watched on their first date, playing their parts as the undercover spy and the femme fatale, but it's broken by the goofy smiles Makoto can't hold back, the way Haru can't resist sneaking a smooch every now and then as they dip and swing around the room

Oh! And the mural on the side of their home and Haru's shop- Yusuke painted it! For the sketch, they had to do the pose for a while, but well. Haru was not complaining. Having her wife hold her all tender for that long was like a dream

At the begining I felt they're aromantic (and forced so much by the show writers to woo/date/marry ladies) and I still feel they're definitely platonic when they interact with other people. But to each other - they're super romantic.

They're best friends and they're the special ones to each other. They feel (real) attraction/love only to each other. So I headcanon both Danny and Steve as definitely uniromantic and The Pilot is a very special episode to me cause the scene in the garage is like kind of "Geez, I'm interested. In THAT way. For the first time in my life I really fucking feel... Geez!" (also: "Gosh, I'm in love. With this irritating handsome guy? Gooood, Jeeeeesus, Maaaary, Anyone?" 😂).

And they both would give Steve their livers (Danny gave his part and Sang: "I woulda offered you my liver, McGurrett, but we both know it’s no god" 😄).

Oh, and Danny is from Jersey, Sang is from China but they both love Hawaii and it's their home forever.

I feel anxious (and mad at show writers) every damn time she's somewhere near Danny or Ohana generally.

A random headcanon:

I once had a dream about Danny so here is my a bit angsty fluffy AU with happy end:

Kono (like in the canon) feels tired and sad and thinks about leaving Five-0 and going (with Adam) to the mainland & fighting with human traffic criminals. Chin and Abby think about living in San Francisco. Max and Sabrina think about Africa. Meanwhile Rachel comes (with her mother Amanda) to Hawaii (Rachel was somewhere far away with Stan) and claims she is sorry and wants Danny back. Williamses from Jersey also come to Hawaii. They more and more ask Danny about Rachel. Bridget mentions that they all miss Danny in Jersey.

Stevie is devastated, he is sure that Danny will go to Jersey with his family and with Rachel. For sure "for Gracie". He also can't imagine living in Hawaii without almost whole Five-0, his Ohana. So Steve decides that he will go back to the Navy (*drama*). Danny is devastated. Governor Sam is devastated too, no Kono, no Chin, no Max, no Steve and no Danny... He thinks that Five-0 has no future and promises Lou and Jerry that he'll find them a new job.

Clara, hearing about Five-0 news, says that her cousin from Italy has mentioned recently there's a job offer in Italian police with higher rank and higher salary and so on. Rachel's mother is like "oh, Italy, finally some civilized place and a job for ambitious people". Danny's family is like "Well, your friends want to leave Hawaii, we're so sorry honey, but... maybe you'll think about Italian offer? Your grandma spoke Italian, you are so brilliant, you can learn it too and...". Rachel smiles and smiles and is soo sure that she will go to Italy with Danny and Grace (sorry, I've got issues with Charlie's plot so he isn't there 😂).

So all other Ohana members talk now about The Four and Max and so on leaving them. Kono, Max, Chin and Steve decide they will leave Hawaii next year. Governor then says to Danny "Better take that job in Italy, Danny. It's a really good offer".

Danny is like "What the hell they all are talking about?!". He only listens to them and says nothing. He's too much anxious, surprised, devastated and veeeery pissed off. What? No Kono, Adam, Chin, Abby, Sara, Max, Sabrina... No Steve the hell???!!! No Hawaii?! No Ohana?! No Five-0? He and who? Rachel? Buahahahahha. No funny. No fair. Nightmare! She will never change, he knows. And he can't love her. And he loves... Steve. And why the hell they all are so sure he is okay with this? He's NOT okay. They can't decide what is better for him - Italy, Jersey, no Hawaii. Seriously? All he wants is his home, his Honolulu. His beloved job and beloved police unit. His beloved Hawaiian people. And beaches. Pineapples. His Ohana. His whole Ohana. And Steve the hell. And Grace. No Rachel, no Italy, just NO.

Danny is so devastated. He's sure that he'll never see his guys again. He'll never see... Steve. He's in his darkest mood. Anxiety attacks, panic attacks, ANGER attacks, they come back to his head.

One day at some party he drinks too much. Gracie sees it. Some other day when he and Grace are crossing the street Danny is almost hit by a car cause he suddenly stood still like frozen and Grace had to scream his name to make him safe. He generally is more and more quiet, each day he looks like "something bad happened" and even though he pretends all is okay, he's good, Gracie sees it all.

One day she just asks. He says all is okay. She then says she feels him cause she doesn't want to leave either. She wants Ohana. Uncle Steve. And Danno, her beloved daddy. He asks her about Jersey, Italy, Rachel. She says NO, NO and... NO. She says that she knew he's sad and she knows how much he loves this place and these people. And her. She says he can't always think only about her. And that he CAN always have both: her and uncle Steve. "What you mean, Monkey?" he asks.

She says she noticed his reaction on Rachel and Amanda (and also Williamses' words about leaving Hawaii) and wanted to know finally what's going on. So one day, when Danny was sleeping hard in the living room (when he drank a bit too much beer for a second time) she checked his room to find "anything". And she finally found. His old letters/messages to Rachel and to the court. She also found something like his diary or letters-never-sent. There was all in them, Danny's pain, truth about his marriage, about her grandmother and mother's cruel plan aka You Will Never See Grace Again, his fear that he would lose Gracie, his love for Grace and Ohana. His pain after losing Matthew. His memories of wanting to kill himself when Rachel took Grace. His bad days and good days. His soul healing in Hawaii with Ohana. With Grace. With Steve. And photos. There were many photos of Ohana being together. And happy.

So, Grace tells Danny that everything will be all right. That NOW they're Super Team. They have to fight for the happiness. They're staying in Hawaii. They need to change Ohana's minds by showing them how wonderful this land is. How many people still need Five-0. How much they all love each other. Danny is amazed. Grace talks and talks. She has so many ideas. One of them is: Gracie will go to court with Danny and say she wanna be under Danny's sole custody (cause the situation and Gracie's feelings have changed so much). She says that the judge will listen to her and she doesn't need as much money as Rachel to win. Danny is speechless. Then Grace says: "We're staying here. Forever. We need to be more Hawaiian, daddy". She has a plan. Danny is very intrigued.

Danny and Grace, when they're with Ohana, pretend they are excited about Italy. Danny says he and Grace learn a lot about their "promised land" (nature, culture, whole history etc) and they also learn "language of love", "language of their Ohana" (Clara is happy and thinks about her mother 😂) with Captain Tanaka's help (his wife knows Italian and some other languages). Lou jokes that Tanaka helps Danny cause he never liked Danny much and that Tanaka is happy that Danny will leave this land. Danny laughs and only says "Maybe, maybe not". When they are like "So, maybe you'll show us your language skills?", Danny says "No, not now". And when they try to ask Mrs Tanaka about Danny's progress, she only joyfully says "He learns so fast, he's truly a brilliant mind, what a memory, what a voice, when he talks I can see all: the sun, the sea, sand, the wind... he melts my heart, he sounds... like his people. His level? He'll be native one day, I'm sure!". Rachel is happy. Steve is devastated.

One year later. Steve, Kono and so on organize the Farewell Party. With looooong tables, with a big stage and microphones (to say Aloha to all their people), with flowers and all that jazz. There are so many people there on the beach. All of them. Whole Ohana and their little Ohanas. All people who know Five-0: survivors (rescued - forever grateful - victims), Hawaiian people, Ruth, Dekker, Victoria models, guy from the gun store, aunt Deb and her Leonard, HPD, SWAT, Williamses, absolutely everyone. So, they all celebrate and then Amanda says "So, Daniel. Your language teacher claims you're a master now. It's time to prove it, right?". Rachel's face is like "Aww, Italy, we're coming. I only need Danny to like me hmmm how to change his mind...". Steve fights with his pain. Deb asks "Maybe some song for your Ohana?". Danny smiles. "For my Ohana, you say? Well, I did it all to save my Ohana so...". When he said "to save my Ohana" all eyes were on Rachel and Grace. Danny continues: "So yeah, I can sing for Ohana too. Come on, Monkey. We'll do it together".

So they all wait there to hear some Italian words but then, on stage, Gracie grabs something and... she starts playing on ukulele. Then Danny starts singing... in the absolutely Perfect and Beautiful Hawaiian. He's singing Hawai'i 78. Soon Gracie is singing with him. All people around are in damn shock 😂😂😂 Kawika, Mamo, Kono's mama, all native guys are like *we're sorry, our brains are now loading, please wait a while*. Chin, Kono, Danny's parents... Lou, Mary, Gerard, Odell, Kame, Sang Min 😂 They all CAN'T BELIEVE 😂 And Stevie... Gosh, he can't breathe. Somebody ventilate him, quickly! 😆 Rachel? She realizes that she lost.

When Danny and Grace sing "Cry for the gods, cry for the people, cry for the land that was taken away and then yet you'll find... Hawai'i" - Steve and their Ohana, they all have tears in their eyes.

Soon Danny and Grace sing (with sassy smiles on their faces) some other Hawaiian songs for Ohana and in the end they and Steve and all Ohana talk about their feelings, Gracie explains her and Danny's plan to save Ohana, Danny finally fights with his anxiety, insecurity and all other demons and asks all his sunshines to stay with him in Hawaii. He whispers Hawaiian "I love you" in Steve's ear. Ohana laughs, they ask if Danny is bewitched or what. He answers "By you guys, yeah".

Of course all will stay in their beloved land, Five-0 is safe, Ohana is safe, all are happy together. They cry and laugh. Rachel comes and starts ranting and shouting at Danny but then Gracie gives her a card and only says: "What? You'll take me away from Danno? Not this time. By the way, it's MY lawyer's number. Call him. Goodbye!". Steve needs some air again 😂 Clara and Eddie are soooo happy that Danny finally fights for himself SO MUCH. They understand all and Clara is like "Hmm, Eddie, maybe WE TOO will have a home here?" 😆 And Eddie is like "But they don't have Papa's Tomato Pies here, honey. And you know, I love our place in Jersey and... We can visit. They can visit. You know".

Okay, I just wanted to say that my random headcanon is that Danny loves Hawaii more and more and one day he wants to be "one of these people totally" so he learns Hawaiian. Because he CAN. And because he is like One Big Surprise. He's booooorn to be wiiiiiild 😂 (and here he's free thanks to Gracie, he's determined and motivated and "I'll show you all!" 💪💪💪).

Being adopted was never something that bother August. As far as he knew, the family that he grew up with was his real family whether they were blood or not. Of course when he was young, he thought that everyone was truly family but then he learned that the world worked differently than that yet it still didn’t change the way he thought about the siblings that he grew up with. His biological parents were a young couple who were addicts and weren’t ready for a child and that’s how he ended up in foster care before ending up with his forever family. 

It was clear from a young age that August had a gift for cooking. He was constantly watching cooking shows on TV and wanted to recreate all of the different dishes with his parents. There were even times where he was preparing dinner in a masterchef style where they didn’t even know what they were getting. Once he was old enough and he was able to be trusted with the oven and stove on his own, he was cooking all of the holiday dinners, never feeling like he had to or being pressured to. He went to a school where being an athlete was very important and still he remained himself. He was pushed into a number of lockers and called multiple names, but it’s not something that ever got to him. 

It was no shocker that at the end of high school, August graduated at the top of his class and he was the valedictorian. College was completely different for him though. He wasn’t sure if it was just the atmosphere or his lack of caring what others thought of him but he felt a sort of solace with his cooking buddies. He made a friend in school, named Sadie and they became close to the point that others thought that the two of them were together romantically. It was the only other person that August could be himself around. She was actually able to help him realize that he was pansexual and he didn’t really care what someone identified as as he was interesting in connecting with someone who was able to connect with him on a deeper level. 

After graduating, he remained in New York City and worked as hard as he could to gain a reputation for himself. He had auditioned on a whim to work with Gordon Ramsay in Europe and he ended up getting the internship. He was shocked and he didn’t want to leave his family but they were all so supportive of him and he ended up going. He worked out there for about two years before coming back to the states due to one of his parents falling ill. He wanted to help take care of them and step up as he was the oldest of all of his siblings. After his parent got better, he decided to head to Blue Harbor as they had an opening for a head chef in one of their steakhouses. He was close enough to Chicago to the point where he could really get his name known there but he felt like he has found his niche in Blue Harbor and doesn’t feel like leaving anytime soon.

he killed the cult and made a contract with the boy who cried for power and revenge. three years later this boy would be known far and wide as earl ciel phantomhive. the queen’s loyal watchdog, owner of funtom corporation and above all else; an individual whom you do not want to cross.

(tw: alcoholism, teen pregnancy) Growing up in a broken home on the outskirts of Bearcreek, Puck had to fend for himself most of the time. At a young age, he was taking care of his siblings. Between his mom always working and his dad always on a drunk bender, it was up to him to keep up with the house and everything that pertained to it, other than paying the bills.

Once he had gotten older, and his mother kicked his father out, Puck decided to try and get away from the house as much as possible. Football was his main outlet. His outlet for hurt and rage. Surprisingly, he was good at it, especially wide receiver. With being wide receiver and the youngest starter, came popularity. With popularity, came girls. Girls. That became his everything. At least until Sophomore year of high school.

Sixteen. At sixteen, Puck had gotten someone pregnant. He had gotten careless. But it was with that, he grew up. Maybe not completely, but he wasn't back to his old man-whore ways. By the end his Sophomore year, he was a father. A father at seventeen.

After barely graduating, Puck joined the Navy, hoping to give himself some discipline. Turns out, it was actually good for him. It allowed Puck to travel to places he probably would have never seen in his life, even if he was on a boat most of the time. One of the few times he was on land, he drunkenly got married.

The marriage lasted for three years. Out of the marriage, one of the only good things to come out of it was Zade, his now three year old. Currently, he has full custody of his son, and has moved back to Bearcreek to establish himself in a place that he's familiar with, and where he has family. Jumping the gun, he bought a run down farm on the outskirts of the bustling little town. Whispering Pines is now his safe haven for him and Zade.

PERSONALITY: 

Skylar would give the shirt off of his back for someone, even if he didn’t know them. He has always been selfless and have always cared more about others than himself. While that’s great, he also has struggled to take care of himself at times so that plays into his insecurities a little bit. He tries not to show that side of himself unless it’s someone super important to him. At the same time, his family doesn’t know and it’s hard for anyone to tell he’s going through something because he’s so bubbly.

Growing up in a family where you constantly felt the love was something that Skylar was grateful for. He knew that not everyone was able to have the luxuries in life that he was able to have. He also knew that not everyone had the older siblings that he had and that’s why he made sure to cherish it every single day. Family was never anything that Skylar would be able to take advantage of because they always had each other’s backs through thick and thin. 

When he was in high school, he had a natural act for volleyball. He loved playing and he was actually really good at it. He wasn’t someone who liked to be modest about it as he was a humble individual. He was kind to everyone that he saw walking through the halls as he didn’t see the point in making anyone feel ostracized. While some of his teammates thought differently, he knew that there was no talking any sense into them so he just tried his best to make up for them. 

When Skylar was sixteen, he noticed his best friend acting differently. He didn’t know what to do but eventually he had found out that they were using drugs and Skylar wished that he could have helped them through whatever they were going through. This was his best friend and he didn’t want to see them struggling so he did something that he didn’t think he would have done to them, but he went to their parents and reported his concerns to them in which they had sent their child to rehab to get some help. 

Skylar tried to visit them multiple times, but they refused so he felt awful as all he wanted to do was help his best friend. As he was deciding what to go to college for, he realized that his best friend’s predicament showed him that he wanted to help others through their darknesses. He went to school in New York State for psychology and then got his masters in mental health counseling. 

Skylar continues to work day after day to help others and he wanted to save his best friend. After graduating and finishing his internship, Skylar was in New York still and so he decided to move back home to Merrock where he knew that he could be truly happy. 

As graduation was nearing, Lucas had ended up sleeping with one of his fraternity brothers. It was not something that he was planning on but they were hanging out and one thing let to another and that’s when Lucas realized that he was in love with him. Once he heard that he was leaving and going somewhere else, Lucas was disappointed but he knew that he needed to think about his own future.  He decided that what he wanted was to be near his brother so he applied to colleges in Kismet Harbor and once he was accepted into their mental health counseling program, he accepted and he hadn’t told his brother because he wanted to just show up.

they say that blood is thicker than water - for tian feng, this rang true. born to honorable parents, leaders in the chinese court with a decorated war hero as a father and a well-respected socialite among the high nobility, tian feng was primed just as his elder brother was for the stage of the great.

there was never any question about who, or rather what, tian feng would be; he && his brother were to be enlisted when they were old enough, to make their ancestors proud, and to serve china as every zhang before them had done. xiaobo, his elder brother of three years, was a wildfire, creating flame anywhere he went. tian feng learned early on how to find peace; and it came from obedience. raise to the occasion, do as is expected, and know how to mind one’s tongue, and follow authority.

he was a shining image of this - but even tian feng thought eventually, xiaobo would get on board with the performance, too. unfortunately, he did not. instead of enlisting in the naval army as expected when he turned 18, xiaobo left. taking his share of the family fortune and taking off, tian feng was then left alone to deal with the devastation and wrath that followed from his parents following. his mother wept when the decision was made to disown xiaobo, who was registered then as a criminal. tian feng didn’t even know where he went after he left - he didn’t care to know.

after that, his father was never the same. later, tian feng would recognize that it was mourning gone wrong, but suddenly, every bit of expectation and pressure was directed onto tian feng. he was enlisted by the end of the year, lying about his age on registration forms. at only sixteen, tian feng began his military career in the navy... and when he left home for the first time, his mother told him a secret that would shake him to his core. he was not his father's child, but the product of a secret affair with the emperor of china himself. tian feng could tell no one, especially not the father who raised him, and definitely not the emperor himself. it was unsafe. instead, tian feng poured himself in his duty in the service; he wanted to make both "fathers" proud.

it was a fairly quick climb up - fighting his way through the ranks, doing all he could to stand out, winning recognition && attention, and becoming favored throughout many of the ranks; tian feng had done good for himself. falling in love with a japanese lady of court was almost enough to throw everything he'd worked for to the wayside, however - and after the reckoning, tian feng carried his blind ambition for china forward until he lost nearly everything. betraying his lover by supporting the invasion on china, and then running to lick his wounds... tian feng no longer recognizes the man in the mirror, nor does he recognize china.

tian feng suffered much as a result of the invasion into china; he lost friends, he lost his girl, he lost his faith, his hope, himself. part of him was left on the battlefield, broken and battered, and he doesn't know if "normal" will ever be possible again. in today society, he would be diganosed with ptsd && depression, but currently, tian feng isn't sure what is happening. he has spent the last 2-3 months isolated on the mountains, dedicated to his training, and feels uncomfortable with himself most days.

Love Never Fails Series

Folks, I have been working on this series off and on for a while. The foundations were actually put in place while I was still in college in the late aughts (I graduated in 2009). It started with the parents of the Osborne kids and I decided the kids were more interesting. Especially when I started thinking of Anthony and his best friend Susan. Those I have shared a lot. 

But there are eight Osborne siblings and they all have their own lives and loves and I am desperate to write them all down. Some have been explored at length, some briefly, and a couple not at all. I have decided to just work on them all whenever I feel like it instead of just trying to do one at a time. Maybe in doing this, I’ll actually finish.

I will be sharing bits and pieces as I go and I hope you enjoy them. Some of these relationships are LGBTQ+ and some are cis/het. I have posted on the outline below which are which. Some may seem like they aren’t LGBTQ+ by the description, but I will be sharing more and letting you know how as we go along. 

There are also characters with both visible and invisible disabilities.

Book 1: Athena (22) and Charlie (22) Love Is Patient

Athena’s first husband has died and she is in the last months of her pregnancy. Alec decides he needs to stay with his sister and drags Charlie along. Charlie and Athena start to rekindle their childhood romance. (cis/het)

Book 2: Alec (24) and Jess (18) Love is Kind

Alec and Jess have always been close. So when Jess discovers she is pregnant after a fling with a boy who is in no position to marry her, she and Alec marry quickly in secret. They slowly start to connect as the pregnancy progresses. (LGBTQ+)

Book 3: Anthony (26), Susan (30), Zoe (18) It Does Not Envy

Susan’s uncle and his wife pass. As there is no other family, Susan has been given the care of her young cousins and the home they live in until the oldest is of age to fully inherit, but she has to be married. She and Anthony marry. Zoe and Susan grow close and eventually sparks fly. (LGBTQ+)

Book 4: Percy (24) and Niamh (21) It Does Not Boast

Niamh has fled from an abusive situation with children that aren’t hers. She is also heavily pregnant. Percy gives them refuge in the vicarage. At some point, Percy and Niamh are caught in a completely innocent, but compromising, moment and are quickly married. (LGBTQ+)

1889

Book 5: Sebastian (23) and Elizabeth (22) It Is Not Proud

After getting into trouble, Sebastian joined the Royal Navy. After falling from the ship and being presumed dead, he is mourned by his family. But he actually was rescued by a family and suffered amnesia. He is nursed back to health and slowly realizes who he is and starts to make his way home with his lady. (cis/het)

Book 6: Jason (22) and Phillip (22) It Does Not Dishonor Others

Jason is still trying to exist in life without his wife who left soon after their son was born. What Jason didn’t know is that his wife left after the birth of their son because he was transgender and was seeking to live his authentic life. But he is back now and Phillip wants to reconnect with Jason and their son. (LGBTQ+)

Book 7: Victoria (25) and Richard (18) It Keeps No Record of Wrongs

Victoria is still looking for Mr. Right after all her friends have married and started their families. No one has caught her eye. Until Richard, a newly titled duke and the younger brother of one of her closest friends, starts to pursue her. She’s not sure she wants a younger man nor is she sure she can look past him being Little Dickie. (cis/het)
