Biography: Nebula the Moon Goddess was born at the beginning of the universe itself alongside her younger twin sister, Gala who would be the goddess of Space and creation. Eventually the Goddess of the Sun enlisted Gala and Nebula to help shape the universe, creating life, light, and night.

Due to Nebula's powers, being night related plus her healing factor from her blood, she had become quite sought after by her fellow gods who wanted to take her for a bride so their children would become strong. However, Nebula would meet her husband, the God of Dragons who loved her for herself and not her powers, and thus sparked a joyous love between them. Years after their union, they were married, having a beautiful wedding under the stars.

Years later, The Goddess of Apocalypse went to Nebula, claiming her sister Gala stole a precious staff that belonged to the Goddess of the Sun. Nebula fought for her sister's innocence, as she knew Gala would never dare steal anything, however the jury announced Gala to be guilty despite Nebula's protests and her sister would be taken away. This would be the last time Gala and Nebula would see each other.

Years after Gala's imprisonment, Nebula would give birth to her son Lunaris, the young God of Night. After his birth, her husband grew distant to their son, which Nebula would notice and despite giving him all forms of love, gifts, and praise the darkness and greed within Lunaris's heart grew. Lunaris's jealousy stemmed from the fact he had a mortal body but an immortal aoul, and since desired having his mother's immortal body and her healing factor, which would make him immortal and invincible. However, all changed when a group of humans, a cult had lured Nebula away. They asked for her help and took advantage of Nebula's kind nature, in which they found how to kill her. Since her healing factor came from her blood, they removed her heart and burned it, successfully killing Nebula.

Nebula's only regrets was not saying goodbye to her family.

Her husband fled, falling into a deep slumber out of mourning for Nebula. Lunaris grew bitter towards mortals, spiteful towards the gods, and grew crazed. He figured that if he continuously had children, one child would eventually emerge that would bear his mother's healing factor, thus he had a goal to recreate his mother through his own offspring to gain an immortal's body. Nebula's powers would soon emerge into her grandson, Moon.

Nebula's soul awakened within Moon, sheltering her grandson and offering him some advice when he is lost on what to do.

Powers

Because Nebula is a Goddess, she has a variety of powers gifted to her as a Goddess of Night.

Healing Factor and Regeneration

Nebula had a very powerful healing ability, able to regenerate lost limbs and heal grievious wounds using her blood. Her only weakness is removing her heart. Moon is the only family member of hers that inherited this ability.

Night Vision

Nebula was known to have splendid night vision, being a goddess of night.

Dream Manipulation

Sleeping near Nebula gave people sweet dreams, along with her dreamwalking abilities. Since her death, Moon inherited these powers.

Pocket Dimension

Nebula was able to create a Pocket Dimension of stars and galaxies. This would give her and Gala a place to rest when they were young. Since her death, Moon had inherited this dimension.

Moonstone Communication

Using Moonstones, Nebula was able to contact loved ones using them, as such her loved ones would keep a moonstone on their person. This ability has been inherited by all members of her family.

Minor Levitation

Nebula was able to levitate for a short amount of time.

Star Shower

Nebula was able to create meteor showers. Leo had inherited this power.

Detailed appearance: Nebula the Night Goddess is a tall, youthful looking woman with pale skin and dark blue eyes that have star patterns deep within them. She had very long, pure white hair that had an ethereal glow to it with her bangs sideswept to the right side. Her hair parts into two pieces naturally as it goes down.

She usually wears a long, sleeveless purple dress with a long slit at the left side that shows her upper thigh. The dress has light lavender ends on the sleeves, tips, neck, and chest. The ends of her dress have diamond shaped white patterns that resemble stars on the night sky. Nebula's dress has a round cutout that shows her cleavage with a white pattern on the right side that appears to be a crescent moon. Underneath her dress she wears a black leotard. Nebula wears black heels. She has white bracelets with a black gems on her wrists while the left one has a fabric that is made of a transparent purple material with stars. Nebula wears a hairpin on the left side of her hair that resembles a purple transparent ribbon with white stars along with a cresent moon pin on the center.

As her body is now gone, Nebula takes the form of a small, black colored soul with a glowing white center.

Personality: Nebula was a kind hearted and gentle soul, always willing to listen to anyone's troubles and had a big heart for anyone. She valued family, and was closest to her sister Gala, her son Lunaris, and her husband. The Goddess of the Sun talks about how friendly Nebula was and that it was tough to be in a sour mood after speaking with her. Nebula was noted to be extremely protective, as she tried her hardest to protect Gala from her false accusations despite the latter's eventual imprisonment. Nebula was a sensitive soul, crying if she heard people going through rough points in their lives and wanting to help everyone. She never thought any ill will of humans despite them killing her, Nebula believed somehow her death would bring them happiness and passed away with a smile. Nebula's only regrets was not saying goodbye to her family.

* Nebula's birthdate is unknown similar to her sister. Its implied she was born at the beginning of time itself.

* Nebula's favorite food is vanilla ice cream

* Nebula's least favorite food was hard boiled eggs

* Nebula's favorite drink is osmanthus wine

* Nebula's least favorite drink is anything sour

* Nebula's technically dead, but because her soul still lives on inside Moon, he is technically active.

* Its unknown if Nebula had the ability of premonition or if her husband had it. Considering both of her grandsons; Leo and Yoru both had premonition abilties.

* Nebula's most prized possession was her hairclip. Since it was gifted by her sister Gala for her wedding day.

* While Lunaris only liked Nebula for her immortal body, Nebula genuinely loved him as her beloved son. He felt no love for her other than gaining her immortality.

* Nebula feels a genuine familial love when her soul talks to Moon.

* The Lunar Spirits were once Nebula's followers and caretakers. There were many of them before her death, in which they dwindled to twenty individuals left.

* She was friends with the Goddess of the Sun, who created a special type of sunlight in her domain that didn't burn Nebula's skin when she would visit her.

* Nebula's sun-sensitive skin was a common trait that was inherited by her grandchildren, especially on Moon.

Story:

Quasar and Nebula were twin orphaned skeletons who didn’t have anyone but each other. Quasar worked as a street cleaner but barely made any money, so Nebula turned to mugging and stealing to support them, soon forming a gang of sorts. Quasar quickly found out about this and begged Nebula to stop, but they needed the money to survive and Nebula refused. Quasar felt awful that he couldn’t take care of his brother and couldn’t stop him from hurting others, blaming himself for everything. Tensions between the two continued to rise as Quasar grew more depressed and Nebula more bitter.

One day while escaping from Royal Guards, Nebula stumbled across a huge tree filled with golden apples and guarded by a massive dragon. According to local legend, the apples granted unimaginable power to those who ate them, but the sacred dragon only gave them to those it thought deserving. Overcome by greed, Nebula brought both Quasar and a young Guard named Filigree to the cave, telling them that the dragon had been ravaging the local villages and needed to be killed immediately. Despite Quasar immediately seeing through his brother’s lie and warning Filigree, the young Guard was so desperate to prove himself that he slayed the dragon without hesitation. In addition to being very illegal, the slaying of a dragon imbues the slayer with the dragon’s magic and soul, forever scarring them with scales.

While Quasar was trying to help Filigree as he painfully sprouted scales and fangs, Nebula took the opportunity to start eating the apples. While shadowy veins began to curl across his bones, the full effect of the magic hadn’t taken place when a group of Royal Guards rushed into the scene. Barely managing to hide the tree and remaining 50% of apples before being taken away, the twins had a shouting match mid-arrest as Nebula found out that Quasar had been the one to call the Guards, both claiming that their actions were for the sake of the other and that they were betraying them. Nebula was taken to the Royal jail, Filigree to a doctor, and Quasar was allowed to leave.

When they discovered that Nebula was the leader of the gang that was the source of much of the Kingdom’s crime in addition to being responsible for the murder of a dragon and Filigree’s scarring, The King sentenced Nebula to death. Upon finding this out, Quasar was absolutely distraught, unable to eat or sleep for days. Upon being beheaded, the magic from eating the apples exploded out of Nebula, turning him into a shadowy beast covered with spindly tentacles and uncountable eyes. Nobody knows what exactly happened afterwards, only that Nebula fled into the forest with the axe used to kill him and covered in blood, the King, Captain of the Guard, and anyone else present never to be seen again.

Nebula was immediately accused of murdering the King and Captain and hunted by Guards. Managing to contain the overflowing magic and revert to a somewhat normal form, Nebula ran to the only place he thought was safe, he and Quasar’s house. Quasar, upon hearing of the murder his brother was accused of and finding Nebula on his doorstep covered in blood and head reattached, freaked out quite a lot. Nebula, extremely traumatized and upset, accused Quasar about not caring about him, second shouting match ensued, and Nebula ran away after disowning his brother. Quasar understandably loses his shit and eats the other 50% of the apples, turning into owl jester man and joining the King’s son Aster and Filigree as they try to fix the Kingdom and also catch Nebula. Nebula befriends Lark, a doctor gathering rare ingredients to cure Filigree, and Abyss, a dark priest. Chaos ensues.

There once were two twins, one a shadowy trickster named Nebula. Out of greed for the legendary golden apples, he tricked his brother and a brave knight into killing the dragon that guarded them, taking all the apples for himself. After killing the other two, he attempted to flee the scene before being caught by the guards and executed. Because of all the dark magic, though, he transformed into a beast instead of dying and murdered the King, Captain, and anyone near before escaping into the woods. He now lurks in the shadows, devouring any human or monster that strays too far into the forest.

Nebula:

- Very grumpy 24/7, hates most people (but not as much as he hates themself)

- Feeds off & senses negative emotions

- The corrupted magic from the apples is concentrated in his right eye and very sensitive to light, so covering it helps him stay calm & Magic explodes from there when startled or upset

- Constantly on the run from Royal Guards and moves from place to place constantly, acting as basically a vigilante

- Physically unable to lie

- Shadows & tendrils can take on any shape & randomly sprout eyes, can also access a hammer space storage that drains the magic of whatever’s inside it

- His head’s still not fully reattached so he keeps it secure with a little bandana

Filigree:

Pronouns: he/him

Height: 6’9”

- Became Captain of the Royal Guard after the previous one’s disappearance

- Wants to capture Nebula on the desperate hope that he knows the cure (also he’s pissed at getting tricked)

- Scales continue to spread, in addition to being itchy they represent the dragon’s soul overpowering his body, give him episodes of irrational anger and animal instincts

- Is actually a silly fella who really just wants to help people, he doesn’t deserve this :(

- He doesn’t realize that Quasar is Nebula’s brother- nobody really does except Aster

- Best friends with Lark, the plague doctor

Abyss:

Pronouns: he/it

Height: 6’8”

- Alchemist and Priest of the Dark God

- Chaotic little shit

- Wanted by both the Royal Guard and the Cult of the Dark God for using ancient black magic to make his cat immortal

- Was captured by Royal Guards and freed by Nebula, feels like it owes him a debt

Lark:

Pronouns: they/it

Height: 5’2”

- Plague doctor

- Just a little guy

- From far outside the kingdom, came here to study & befriended Filigree (the only person actually nice to it)

- Wants to cure Filigree, but most ingredients of the cure are rare, illegal, or expensive since so they have to use unconventional means

(Prince) Aster:

Pronouns: he/they/it

Height: 4’0”

- Son of the missing King

- The Kingdom used to follow the Dark God, but a ritual involving the fallen human ended in the human’s death and Aster losing the majority of their soul. Following the Dark God was outlawed and Aster ran away to train as a Royal Guard, only returning after the King went missing and the Queen ran away.

- Drains the color out of things they are around for too long

I haven't got a proper picture of her yet but I hope u get what I mean, basically the bottom of the train drops on the ground, the upper part is the neck and the maw is filled with gears for crushing anything, and I mean anything, that steps in her path

She could have cubed Megatron if given the chance. Depending on continuity she would have done it to Optimus, too

My OC Nebula is the person who has seen The Unspeakable Horrors and may I just say- would fucking FAWN over your OC!! Nebula (She/he/They) is in charge of making Decepticons better suited for battle basically, and has had an unfortunate accident which made her teleport to a dying dimension. Think stars exploding, giant space creatures swimming by and dying slowly. I should write a fix about his horrifying yet inspiring experience. They’re a space shuttle, so very large, and very deranged 💙
