Arcane X Beach Date with Reader!

Characters: Powder/Jinx, Violet "Vi", Caitlyn Kiramman, Ekko, Viktor, Jayce Talis, Mel Medarda, Sevika, Ran and Vander

Warning: Some slight suggestive themes and mild cursing. But pretty much SFW.

A/N: Aww, summer is practically over! I hope you guys had fun this summer and stayed safe! Whatever is next in the future, I hope we all have a great time and look forward to the rest of 2024! We only got three more months until Season Two guys, I know we can do it even if it feels so far. So let's hang in there!

Powder/Jinx

“Hey, hurry up and look over here, toots! I’m about to pull off the biggest cannonball!... Yeah, yeah, I’ll be fine- Now watch me!”

At the beach, Jinx is absolutely going to do everything under the sun, whether it be legal or illegal! She might not be the best swimmer, but she loves getting in the water, especially jumping in and getting her adrenaline going. And you better expect her to get you involved in a water fight! Just don’t expect her to play fair, girlie has a bunch of mechanisms she can make into weapons for your game and she’s not afraid to use them!

Sand castles are requested and being buried in sand is a must. A date at the beach with the Loose Cannon feels more like a hangout than a lovely day together in the sand, but don’t get it wrong. Jinx loves spending time with you at the beach and will sneak some kisses to your cheek or slam her lips on yours. She’s pretty sure your beach date is probably one of the best days of her life and it’s all thanks to you.

Violet “Vi”

“This is the perfect weather for a nice swim, babe. Hey- Race you to the other side. Last one there is buying ice cream!”

When you invited Violet to a date on the beach, she was more than ready, she was beyond excited! She is a perfect balance between playful and romantic, always flirting with you in regards to your swimsuit and even sneaking some seductive touches along your body. And right when she’s done or is about to kiss you, she’s quick to trick you by running away gleefully waiting for you to catch her or messing with you.

She’s not exactly the best of swimmers, but is willing to learn and get her feet wet just for you. If you both aren’t having fun talking to each other and exploring the beach side by side, then guests of the beach better expect to see a happy couple making out in the sand or getting affectionate. Peering eyes or none, a beach date with Violet is all you could ever ask for and more.

Caitlyn Kiramman

“Ahh, isn’t this absolute bliss, my love-... Did. Did you just splash me? Oh, you’re gonna pay royally for that.”

Caitlyn has been to the beach quite a lot in the summer with her family and always loved spending time on the coast. So when you asked her on a getaway there, she was immediately on board. During your date, she makes sure you are all okay, rubbing sunscreen on you and checking if all your equipment is accounted for. Caitlyn is more on the quieter side, having a picnic in the sand with you or laying in the shade and just catching the breeze.

But do not let this fool you; She can be playful and accept your requests to swim, especially since she’s a pro at it, or just play in general! She’ll always be open to exploring underwater with you or even making some sand castles together! When it’s time to go, Caitlyn almost doesn’t want to leave, but at least she has a sweet memory and new tradition to share with you.

Ekko

“You’re right, we all needed this vacation. Everyone’s happy and you’re happy, so I’m fine. Wanna take a swim with the others?”

Ekko has never been to the beach before. He’s only heard stories from Pilties that passed by the undercity and seen pictures of it, but has never set foot on one, and neither has the Firelights. Whenever he needed a swim or a getaway, he would just find a local lake or river to satisfy him and everyone else’s needs. So you can imagine his surprise when you set up a little vacation for him and his allies on the coast!

The leader of the firelights is beyond happy the entire time you’re by his side and showing off the beach to the firelights, engaging in small games of volleyball or tag with the young ones. Of course it’s still a date for you two, so he’s sure to give you all the love and care you could ask for when the kids or Scar aren’t taking up you two’s time. But even then, it is all in all a fun experience to share, whether alone or with the freedom fighters.

Viktor

“Aye! How is the water so cold? Maybe you should swim on without me… Don’t worry, I’ll keep watch-. H-Hey! Fine, I’ll join you, let’s just take it slow.”

It had been years since Viktor had stepped on a beach before you asked him on a date there. The once feeling of sand in his feet made him raise an eyebrow and the wind touching his skin had him a bit nervous with his body out. From the looks of it, you were sure at first that this would be a hard time to enjoy together…

But after a while and a bit of convincing to let loose with some encouragement, the scientist finally let loose a little and enjoyed all of the beach with you. He may not be able to swim, but walking in the water, holding your hand and feeling the small waves crash into his ankles? Now that was a piece of absolute heaven. And exploring uncharted territories with you to find the most beautiful of caves was beyond delightful. He would have to remind himself to come to the beach with you more often.

Jayce Talis

“What’s up? Are you admiring my muscles?... If you’re looking at them dry, I can’t wait to see how you’ll look at them wet. Now come on in!”

All it took was one date to find out that Jayce practically belonged on the beach with you! There he acted like such an excited child in his trunks running immediately into the water with your hand in his to feel the waves wash over you two. Don’t expect to do much outside of swimming unless you need something from your personal belongings, and even then Jayce will go grab it for you and head straight back in!

He isn’t much of a goofball swimming with you outside of small moments of teasing, but he does get quite handsy and flirtatious, holding your waist and pulling you close to kiss you. Everyone can practically put together that you are his with how affectionate he is around you. And he doesn’t care either because he doesn’t mind putting you on the pedestal where you belong. It’s a chill date, but a nice date regardless.

Mel Medarda

“Mmm, we needed this, sweetheart. A day away from the nagging, pointless fighting and having to meet expectations? It’s absolutely worth it.”

A beach date with Mel has got to be one of the calmest dates you’ll ever have in your life. Mel isn’t much of a swimmer, preferring to just walk down the coast with you. But even then, she spends most of her time sunbathing and simply taking in the ambiance around the both of you in relaxation. For some it may be boring, but for her just being near you and practically doing nothing is heavenly.

Of course she won’t be a prude though. Sometimes she’ll take a minute and collect seashells to take home with her as souvenirs. And if you do want to swim around or really utilize the beach, she will let you and simply watch you having fun lovingly from the sidelines. That is unless you want her to join you, then just ask and she’ll be right by your side enjoying every second with you.

Sevika

“Ran is challenging me to volleyball and I was wondering if you’d want to be my partner?... Thanks babydoll- Hey, Ran! Get ready to get your ass kicked!”

Sevika doesn’t go to the beach unless it’s with a group of friends. Only then with them and you as company is she gonna have the time of her life! Outside of work and in the sand, the muscular woman is a lot more relaxed and a bit playful with everyone, including yourself. She’ll do whatever you’d like as long as it means you both are enjoying yourself.

Want to play a few games? She’s all for it. Want to just kick back and take in the sun and the waves? She’s cool with that too! Nothing is off limits for the Right Hand of Zaun, and I mean nothing. Because if you feel it’s not exactly a date, then Sevika has no problem taking you somewhere a bit more secluded and showing you a great time~. At the end of the day, you’re sure to look back on your time with your girlfriend at the beach fondly and can’t wait for the next one!

Vander

“We should try and make this a tradition. You, me and the kids, come down to the beach every summer. They’d look forward to it every year. And so will I…”

Everytime you and Vander go to the beach, it is usually with the kids as an annual family outing. Yeah, the both of you have to babysit a bit and deal with the mindless teasing of the sumprats when you both get intimate, but you enjoy yourselves regardless. You love when the Hound of the Undercity plays tag with his adopted children, even dragging you in for the ride and getting a good adrenaline kick from it all.

You two always leave the beach excited for the next time around the following year with tired kids needing to be laid down. He makes sure to let you know how grateful he was to spend time with you and everyone else, nuzzling into you and whispering how much he loves you. Though you miss those days, you never broke that tradition, even when the world fell apart. No matter what, you always come back every summer to the beach to keep the memory alive…

I'm honestly SO TIRED of the "Ekko can't love Jinx because she’s a terrorist" narrative.

This label gets thrown around because it’s convenient for viewers who want moral simplicity and a scapegoat.

They completely ignore that she’s a product of abandonment, systemic oppression, and trauma that NO ONE in the show properly addressed. She’s a symbol of what happens when society chooses order over care.

Calling her a terrorist while excusing characters like Jayce, who greenlit a bombing run that killed civilians or Caitlyn who operates within and benefits from an oppressive system is absurd.

Ekko knew who she was before the world broke her and by the end of the show, he understands that her transformation wasn’t a betrayal, but a tragedy.

And let's be honest, to the Piltie goons, Ekko is also a criminal. He fights enforcers, damages infrastructure, and destabilizes authority. The only reason people don't slap the “terrorist” label on him is because he’s framed as more pacific.

So the idea of Ekko looking down at Jinx and judging her unworthy of love because of what she’s done would be fucking hypocritical.

Because they’re both products of the same war. The difference is, he got community and purpose. She got isolation, manipulation, and a ton of trauma.

Hi hello!! I was cheering and nodding along the more i kept reading, really well put anon!!!! I honestly keep my think pieces in my twitter account hahaha but I have tackled that point about Piltovans not differentiating them. Caitlyn does say that she thought firelights were working for Silco when she met Ekko, and it makes sense because Jinx has been setting them up by drawing their symbols on her weapons. We don't know what their reputation looks like among your average piltovan but we do know that Ekko, just like Jinx and many other zaunite characters, despises enforces. We see that on the firelight montage where they use one of their unfiroms as a punching bag.

Considering his low screentime, most of his characterization is told through songs (i.e MistFit Toys, Dynasties and Dystopia, Ma Meilleure Ennemie) and for instance, in misfit toys, he calls out the system for the hell it put them through.

And he's certainly not opposed to violent resistence (like you were saying !! Just bringing some canon substance to the table haha)

But just like you pointed out, Ekko had a community to rely on while Jinx had no one besides Silco who up until episode 8 did not realize his affection for her, mostly prepering her to become a weapon.

Idk this argument that Ekko could never bring himself to love Jinx because of things she has done is 1) absurd because the very nature of their relationship rallies on contradictions (i.e "I love and hate you", "the worst of all blessings, the best of all curses", "Better than alone is to be in bad company") 2) Not in character because in Ekko's own monologue in s2ep9 he knows Jinx wants to do better, and he want to give her that chance with no strings attached

Something Jinx has been struggling since before she ever become Jinx is her unwavering need to prove herself, but Ekko doesn't want that and doesn't need it either. He doesn't want her to prove him she's better or she's changed, he wants her to do that for herself. To build something for her. Which is word for word him wanting to see her getting out of that traumatic cycle she's been trapped since she's lost everyone.

Basically he wants to see her healing, with or without him, no expectations needed

(This is just scratching the surface too, there's so much more but this is getting long haha)

And that i think its beautiful :')) and some people missing out on this beautiful message because they are incapable of engaging with neither of those characters beyond surface level is very sad.

In order of your points: disagree, agree, no comment, agree (but conflicted)

The clues people have been pointing out in regards to jinx being alive might seem circumstantial. But I’m inclined to think that nothing the writers and animators on arcane do is on accident, so.

I don’t have much to say about jayvik other than I don’t really mind either interpretation. Their bond works either way and I don’t blame people for reading romantic tension in their interactions even if it’s never explicitly said. I personally don’t ship it but thats mainly bc I was a Jayce hater in s1 and I think viktor can do better lol.

My critique of Caitlyn and Vi has nothing to do with the ship, actually. I like caitvi and I think they do make a good couple. I just think that there should have been more repercussions for them like. Gassing the Lanes? I feel like that whole arc was something that would have had huge implications in s1. But it just never comes up again. Like at least they touch on Caitlyn falling into ambessas hands. But the Grey stuff was before that, and Vi was directly involved in it. But neither of them really seem to reckon with it at all.

The ending was good for what it was I think. I made a rambling post at like 4am about how I think season 2 overall didn’t live up to what season 1 had set up. But I think as a conclusion to the season it was fine. I think there could have been a bit more, maybe showing how each character is involved in the changes that are taking place in Piltover and Zaun. I especially wanted a bit more from Ekko, to see him reunite with the Firelights, maybe sit under his tree a bit? And show him taking on a role in Zaun’s leadership maybe.

As a big arcane fan, it sucks to see this show get so much criticism, even if I think there are places where it’s deserved. But some of it I think comes from people who had their own idea of how the season should go and were never going to be satisfied with any other way. The biggest critique I feel like I saw in the immediate aftermath was about Jinx’s ending, which, duh.

I think people who were really angry about Jinx dying (or “dying”, as it were) were coming from a place of being emotionally invested in Jinx getting a happy ending - but I don’t know if that was ever in the cards for her. I’ve seen people say that her death was pointless or for shock value but I don’t really see it that way. It feels like a natural culmination of her arc - she spent her whole life watching others protect her: Vi, Silco, Vander and even Isha. So it makes sense that her final act would be protecting someone else. It’s even a pretty direct parallel to Isha’s death. And it works for Vi’s story as well - Vi, who cannot let go of anyone, is quite literally forced to let go. Idk I think this debate is the most interesting part to me bc I can sympathize with people who are mad as hell. I just don’t think from a writing perspective it’s as flimsy as people are making it out to be.

Vi and Caitlyn's Disastrous Wonderful Wedding

Just a bunch of fluff and crack I put together but got too lazy to turn into an actual fic! If you want to write a proper story based on any of these, feel free to, just tag me so I can see it! This is pretty long and all over the place because I have no idea of how a wedding is supposed to go. Feel free to add anything if you want to!

Jinx and Vi got into a screaming match when Caitlyn first popped the question, but they talked it out and Cait managed to buy Jinx's blessings with ice cream.

Caitlyn had to physically fight Cassandra from having any saying over anything about the ceremony. If it depended on her, she would have invited the entirety of Piltover while the brides just wanted a small party with family and close friends.

Vi got an awesome white tuxedo with a bright red vest, and Caitlyn got a beautiful goth black gown. Jinx, somehow, got a hold of their clothes and doodled all over them.

The ceremony would be held at a public park near the event venue they rented, which meant Warwick got to play guard dog and shoo away any unwanted guests or paparazi. He loved it.

Lux and Jinx were left in charge of making the invites, drawing/writing them all by hand and delivering them themselves.

Tobias made their cake and all the sweets they would need with the help of a hired crew. Yes, there were cupcakes.

All of the Firelights were invited, even the kids, and Ekko rehearsed a whole choreography for when they arrived on their Hoverboards.

Mel helped them with shopping for the clothes, decoration and flowers since neither Vi nor Caitlyn had a good eye for these kinds of things.

Jayce and Viktor got matching suits and Mel got a beautiful golden dress. Ekko also pulled a ragged suit together Zaun-style and doodled all over it. Lux got a lovely yellow and white dress, and Jinx just put Silco's coat over her normal clothes and called it good.

Everyone also managed an afternoon to give Warwick a bath and pull together a big enough bowtie for him.

The preparations were very stressful for the both of them, but they managed to overcome it all together, as they always do.

Cassandra almost passed out when she heard about all of this.

Caitlyn and Vi just had one bachelorette party together at the Last Drop and it was awesome.

Heimerdinger was the officiant. Lux was the flowergirl. Jayce, Viktor and Ekko were the bridesman and Mel was the bridesmaid. Jinx was the ringbearer.

On the day of the ceremony, both Vi and Caitlyn got really cold feet. It didn't help that they hadn't seen each other all day. Cassandra and Tobias managed to comfort Cait and Vi snapped out of it after Jinx gave her a "Get Your Shit Together" speech.

Vi started crying while saying her vows which made Caitlyn cry. They were happy tears, but it still got them a loud "GET ON WITH IT, ALREADY!" from Jinx.

They finally exchanged their rings and kissed. Everyone cheered. Warwick gave a long, loud howl of celebration. Lux made them a magic light show and Jinx set off the fireworks she had made just for that day.

Both Caitlyn and Vi had made it very clear they didn't want cake shoved in each other's face. Jinx found this absolutely outrageous and demanded Lux shoved cake in her face at least three times.

She didn't even need a plate, she just ate the bits of cake on her face and clothes.

Jayce and Viktor got drunk out of their minds and Mel had to guide them around by their hands like two out-of control-toddlers.

Tobias danced with both Cait and Vi at the Daddy-Daughter dance because Warwick made the ground shake when he walked. Jinx felt bad for him and they danced together instead. Everybody was holding on for dear life.

At one point, Ekko and Jinx got into a fistfight and Lux had to separate and scold them both, loudly, for a good ten minutes or so.

Vi and Caitlyn couldn't keep their eyes (and hands) off each other the whole time. They left to the bridal suite a little after 9pm while the ceremony went on a good while after midnight.

It was a wonderful day for the both of them and everybody left with great photos and memories of it.

The newly weds spent their Honeymoon at Caitlyn's parent's summer cabin for a week or so. Jinx and Lux went along with them, mainly because the younger girls couldn't be trusted around the house unsupervised.

Okay moving forward from this I have a more solid idea of everything now but it’s not set in stone yet.

In this AU remnant is in place of Shimmer. Having healing properties and enhancing properties if used in small doses, but can corrupt someone.

Henry is Vander and William is Silco.

Henry sorta adopts Y/n, Elizebeth, and Evan (name for crying child here) and Michael takes Victor's place. It fits because he’ll still be from the undercity, but he gets into the academy and moves to Piltover.

Henry is the hound of Zaun yes. He owns the last drop, (not changing its name yet I think it’s kinda fitting) and keeps the kids there. Fitz and Gabriel (foxy and Freddy og's) are in place of Claggor and Milo. Fitz would be Milo 100% and Gabriel is 100% Claggor. They die because well those two die in the show so…

Y/n is almost jinx except the symbols of her tattoos are suns and moons instead of the clouds. She gets ‘adopted’ by William after Elizabeth ‘leaves’ her after the incident. They think Henry is dead and Evan was killed in the factory fire as well.

Jeremy is Jayce. It’s fitting, and I kind of like Michael and him, so it works. He is from Piltover and friends with Moon, who was made in Piltover along with Sun.

Sun was a Zaun project. They were meant to be friends but after a small explosion (not the workshop one) they decided the alliance would not work and took Sun back to Zaun and Piltover's people to keep Moon.

When the workshop is blown up (by Henry’s group of the kids including y/n) Moon is taken by the Kiramans. They do not have a child but they have ‘custody’ over moon as they were the main people sponsoring his creation and the people who made him died in the attack that took him away from sun.

Jeremy is put on trial and convinces people with the magic thing, and Micheal starts helping him.

Sun was created to be moons other half. In whatever sense they wanted it to be. Neither know of the others existence and this does actually affect them. Sorta. They are weaker by themselves because they were meant to be a weapon that worked in tandem. Now that’s not possible. But when they do team up eventually (when moon busts sun out of prison) they meet up and it’s basically over for everyone (not really but it’s gonna be. They just need upgrades from y/n first)

So while Elizabeth is in place of Vi, she will not have an active paring in this au. Moon while taking Caits place does not get with Elizabeth. He gets with sun and y/n.

Vanessa takes Sevika’s place and is loyal to Afton before his death. And later loyal to Y/n. You cannot tell me she wouldn’t have a gambling addiction.

I can’t really think of whos be in Benzo’s place yet. Maybe in this universe Charlotte doesn’t exist, and Henry’s wife takes his place. I don’t think that would fit well story wise so if anyone has a better option then I’ll take it.

When he brings moon to base oo that’s gonna be so fun!

Moon does end up working with Elizabeth, but it’s not a ship in anyway at all. More like a sibling one at that. Idk if I have to repeat it but sun and moon are not being shipped with any of the afton kids. Or anyone else really. Except for moon and Dj music man. Which ofc ends in his death.

Sun has tattoos similar to VI’s, as does moon. But only because they are robots and wish to represent themselves and it doesn’t have any relation to Vi in any way.

Everyone still has the crazy hair color and stuff but it fits their personality’s and families.

Idk who would take Mel’s place either but at this point I’d have to make another fnaf oc. If anyone has any suggestions I’ll take them gladly. (Any other gay stuff i should know about? Cause the person taking Mel’s place could always be a guy ykyk)

As for Maddie. The only other character I’ve ever seen shipped with moon is Music man so if anyone doesn’t have objections I’m making him more humanized and also evil.

As for Mellisa, I’m thinking of actually making her Glitchtrap. William doesn’t make him he already existed. There is some connection between them but it ultimately leads to nothing because William dies.

The black rose would be taken place by an original group. I need people for this group so if anyone wants a self insert for them just lmk!

As for Mellisa, a child of the glitch would be different. Maybe adopted? Idk but I’d have to make that a person Micheal would show at least some interest in. At least a little yk?

Anyway that’s the idea for now what do you guys think?

And if anyone has ideas for the people that are undecided the lmk if you have ideas. Or self inserts cause I might just add those at this point.
