So the graying lands, first it was Meridell, then Brightvale, and now Neopia Central. It seems to spreading out from where it started, so I wonder what will be next. Roo Island and Kiko Lake are right there, but they are fairly small lands.

The Haunted Woods and Faerieland are on the same part of the contientent as the other lands, but Terror Mountin might be closer. Especially since a shop keeper in Terror Mountin has already turned gray.

Faerieland might be last due to vauge protections on it, but what do you all think? Do you think the graying will get to all lands?

I had theorized that the "Void Within" was going to be about overcoming depression with support of others and "the power of friendship"! I also thought the Gray Faerie would be involved and she might get her magic back at the end of the plot! This seems to add more evidence to this theory!

well i can't say i was ever expecting another new pet. the varwolf's original concept was really cute which as we've learned means the final art that makes it onsite is going to be redesigned to be kind of hideous again.

aaanyway, baelia backstory speculation time! it'll probably be proven wrong in a matter of days, but i think it'd be cool if tnt took this approach, so whatever!

there's always been a sort of classical fairy tale aspect to the grey faerie story for me, so i thought it'd be cool if baelia never really fit in because she wanted to be something else. specifically, another magic type. magic seems to be something determined from birth with faeries, but baelia doesn't seem to identify with "light" in the same way as the others like her. even as a light faerie, she seems to lack the gregariousness her peers usually have. what if she felt more like a dark faerie?

what if she wanted to learn dark magic?

what if she found a dark faerie who said she could teach her?

what if baelia finally thought she finally found a place where she belonged?

what if what baelia was really doing was signing her powers away to a more powerful faerie?

what if jennumara taking her name was something as simple as ariel signing away her voice to ursula, a contract made with the promise of becoming something you want to be at the loss of something that makes you you?

what if baelia was only one of many grey faeries taken advantage of by this sort of thing?

what if the thing that makes her herself again is becoming the void faerie like a lot of people speculate, blending the light magic she had with the dark magic she wanted?

wuagh i mentioned like. months ago that i was makin an archivey type blog for neopets ps2 stuff and i STILL AM!!! it is a huge wip though because i decided to replay it a bunch and write down all the possible dialogue/items/quests/chests/glitches/etc because i Gotta be thorough....might end up making an in depth guide or something with it all when im finished. or a video or something. or both. i shrimply like this game a bunch. it is kind of uniquely fucked up. heart emoji
