Just Finished: Metal Gear: Snake's Revenge
Well, is not that I wasn't expecting much from this game but it went way below my expectations. What sh… cheese game to say the least. It's hard as nails and bad as something rotten you just ate.
It was clearly not under Kojima's overview but was actually thanks to it was we had a proper sequel. I have played this over curiosity but this time it killed the cat.
Broken controls, unfair for most of the times, nonsense plot line, and has all the bad thing we don't like from the 8 bit generation. Yo be honest I don't think it was even good at the time it was released. I really wonder how Konami approved this back then.
Follow me lead and please avoid it. Consider this post as a public service. Cheers

Preserve Your Retro Treasures: The Ultimate Guide to NES Game Box Protectors
In the world of gaming enthusiasts and collectors, there's a certain charm and nostalgia attached to retro gaming consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). For many, it's not just about playing the games but also preserving the physical artifacts that hold memories of countless gaming adventures. Among these artifacts, NES game boxes hold a special place, serving as a time capsule of the gaming era that shaped many childhoods.
However, as cherished as these game boxes are, they are also susceptible to wear and tear over time. That's where NES game box protectors come into play. These simple yet invaluable accessories are designed to safeguard your precious game boxes from the elements and ensure they remain in pristine condition for years to come.
Tumblr media
The Importance of NES Game Box Protectors
NES game box protectors are more than just plastic sleeves or cases; they are guardians of gaming history. Here's why they are essential for any serious collector:
Protection from Wear and Tear: The passage of time can take its toll on NES game boxes, leading to creases, tears, and fading. Game box protectors provide a physical barrier against such damage, keeping your boxes looking as good as new.
Preservation of Value: Mint condition game boxes command higher prices in the collector's market. By using protectors, you're not just preserving the appearance but also the monetary value of your NES game collection.
Shielding from Environmental Factors: Dust, moisture, and sunlight are the enemies of retro game boxes. NES game box protectors shield your precious collectibles from these harmful elements, preventing discoloration and deterioration.
Choosing the Right NES Game Box Protectors
Not all game box protectors are created equal. Here are some factors to consider when selecting the perfect protectors for your NES collection:
Material: Opt for protectors made from high-quality, acid-free materials to prevent chemical reactions that could damage your game boxes over time.
Clarity: Clear, transparent protectors allow you to showcase your game boxes without compromising visibility. Avoid cloudy or tinted protectors that may obscure the artwork.
Fit: Ensure that the protectors are specifically designed for NES game boxes and provide a snug, but not overly tight, fit. Poorly fitting protectors can cause bending or warping of the boxes.
Where to Find NES Game Box Protectors
Fortunately, NES game box protectors are readily available from various online retailers and specialty gaming stores. Here are a few places where you can purchase them:
Tumblr media
Online Marketplaces: Websites like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy offer a wide selection of NES game box protectors from different brands and sellers.
Gaming Stores: Specialty gaming stores, both online and brick-and-mortar, often stock protective accessories for retro game collectors. Check with your local gaming store or browse their online catalog.
Collector Communities: Joining online forums and communities dedicated to retro gaming enthusiasts can provide valuable insights and recommendations on where to find the best NES game box protectors.
Conclusion
In the world of retro gaming, preserving the integrity of your cherished NES game collection is paramount. NES game box protectors offer a simple yet effective solution to safeguarding your valuable treasures from the ravages of time and the environment. By investing in high-quality protectors and following proper storage practices, you can ensure that your NES game boxes remain in pristine condition for future generations to enjoy, keeping the spirit of retro gaming alive for years to come.

28/30; last black box post for a long time. The last two are either exceedingly rare or prohibitively expensive or both. Gonna make sure all my loose black box games are non-Rev A for arbitrary reasons. #nesgames #gamecollection #nescollector #retrogaming https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg5OGFWvAmP/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque: La Légende d’Or (NES - Bandai - 1988 - FRA) We were blessed with tons of animes on the French broadcast TV back in the 80’s, and Bandai thought it was a good idea to localize some early NES games adaptations. Knights of the Zodiac is sadly a mediocre JRPG, with heavy grinding and unbalanced gameplay. But worst of all, it was boring and frustrating: why not make a more straightforward action game? All I wanted was to blast my way through waves of ennemies. At least the box art is neat. ____________________ #gamesarchive #videogames #games #retrogaming #retrogamer #gaming #collection #vintage #retrocollection #gamingmemories #retrocollectibles #videogames #video #arcade #pixel #pixels #console #japan #oldgames #gameroom #recalbox #nintendo #nes #nesgames #saintseiya #knightsofthezodiac #seiya #bandai https://www.instagram.com/p/CmoRkoVoy72/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

My last two gaming lots. This week. Gaming lots allow me to collect games I love from my childhood, allows me to bond with my wife & two boys & the resell on these are nice as well. I collect for these reasons & some lots might have some duplicates in it, but they can always go to a gaming lot or a lot with an Original Nintendo. That’s money in everything including hobbies. Anything & everything can be monetized. How did I do though? Didn’t pay nothing too crazy for what’s in these lots. #retro #classic #oldschool #vintage #retrogaming #retrogamer #retrogames #classicgames #oldgames #vintagegames #vintagegaming #oldschoolgaming #classicgaming #influencer #contentcreator #creatives #nintendo #originalnintendo #originalnes #nintendoentertainmentsystem #supernintendo #snes #nesgames #snesgames #nes #blackcreatives #gamerlife #gamerdad #gaminglife #videogames https://www.instagram.com/p/CmiUjfxuBvO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Shadowgate for the NES, from 1989. The game is named for its setting, Castle Shadowgate, residence of the evil Warlock Lord. The player, as the "last of a great line of hero-kings" is charged with the task of saving the world by defeating the Warlock Lord, who is attempting to summon the demon Behemoth out of Hell.
The game is notorious for its many opportunities for death, including being burned by a dragon's breath, attacked by a cyclops, sucked into outer space through a broken mirror, dissolved by acidic slime, mauled by a wolf-woman, eaten by sharks, and suicide. Virtually any action taken by the player which is not the correct solution to a puzzle will result in a fatality. These deaths were often graphically described in the game's text. This was as close as one could get to playing D&D on the NES at the time, and I had a lot of fun with it. Dragon magazine reviewed the original 1987 computer version in Issue 128, giving it 5/5 stars.

The Ultimate Guide to NES Game Box Protectors: Preserving Nostalgia for Generations
In the world of retro gaming, few things hold as much sentimental value as the original boxes that housed our favorite NES games. These cardboard relics are not just containers; they're time capsules transporting us back to the golden age of gaming. However, as time passes, preserving these boxes becomes increasingly challenging. That's where NES game box protectors come in, serving as guardians of nostalgia, ensuring that our cherished memories remain intact for generations to come.
Why Protecting NES Game Boxes Matters: Imagine stumbling upon your old NES collection tucked away in the attic, only to find the boxes crushed, faded, or torn beyond recognition. It's a heart-wrenching sight for any retro gaming enthusiast. NES game box protectors offer a simple yet effective solution to this problem, shielding your precious boxes from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Using NES Game Box Protectors:
Preservation: Box protectors act as a barrier against environmental elements, preventing discoloration, warping, and other forms of degradation.
Presentation: Display your NES games proudly without worrying about unsightly wear and tear detracting from their visual appeal.
Value Retention: Well-preserved game boxes command higher prices among collectors, making box protectors a worthwhile investment.
Peace of Mind: Rest easy knowing that your cherished NES collection is safeguarded for years to come, whether stored away or on display.
Choosing the Right NES Game Box Protectors: When it comes to selecting box protectors for your NES games, quality matters. Look for protectors made from durable materials such as acid-free PET plastic, which offer superior protection against yellowing and brittleness over time. Additionally, ensure that the protectors are designed specifically for NES game boxes, providing a snug fit without excessive stretching or bending.
Installation Tips: Installing NES game box protectors is a straightforward process, but a few tips can help ensure optimal results:
Cleanliness is Key: Before inserting your game boxes into the protectors, make sure they're free from dust and debris to prevent scratching.
Tumblr media
Handle with Care: Gently slide the game box into the protector, avoiding excessive force to prevent bending or creasing.
Seal the Deal: Some box protectors come with adhesive strips to secure the flaps closed, providing an extra layer of protection against dust and moisture.
Where to Find NES Game Box Protectors: Fortunately, NES game box protectors are readily available from a variety of online retailers specializing in retro gaming accessories. Whether you're looking for individual protectors or bulk options to safeguard your entire collection, you're sure to find what you need with a quick search.
Conclusion: Preserving the nostalgia of NES game boxes is more than just a hobby—it's a way to honor the rich history of gaming and ensure that future generations can experience the joy of discovering these timeless classics. With the help of NES game box protectors, you can safeguard your cherished collection for years to come, keeping the memories alive for generations of gamers to come.
