Hello, pretty! First of all your writing is so good, I'm hooked! And if u don't mind can I request a fluff (maybe smut?) of Neteyam being so clingy in public, that man can't keep his hands to himself fr and I know for a fact that he would always rub it in people faces (especially the one's who failed to court you) like he would throw a glare when he notices someone staring at you for a second too long before kissing you on the spot while looking straight into their eyes.

Yours (part two)
Tumblr media
Neteyam still can’t believe you chose him.
Despite being the future Olo’eyktan and a skilled warrior, he has a tendency to view himself as less than. But you…you are easily the most beautiful and sought after woman in the clan. So, despite the fact that you’re already mated, that you’ve chosen him for life, he constantly feels the need to assert his claim in the presence of other men.
Like in the morning, when you’re helping with meal preparation. You’re always in the same spot, washing the newest collection of fruit, so he’ll easily settle against your back without so much as a hello.
“Morning, yawntutsyip (darling).” A soft smile pulls at your lips, cheeks warming under the public display of affection.
Neteyam nuzzles against your shoulder, humming lowly as his lips caress the skin of your neck. His hands completely dwarf your hips, long fingers curling around them before gently guiding you closer to him. You instantly relax against the warmth of his chest, a contented sigh adding to the quiet morning bustle.
What you don't notice is the way his eyes scan the area, pointedly glaring at every man who dares glance in your direction. It's mostly accidental, really, few would openly challenge the future Olo'eyktan for his mate, but Neteyam doesn't see it that way. Every single look, touch, conversation is something he needs to monitor closely, ensuring it doesn't go too far.
When you sit with his family for meals, he crowds in close, until his arm presses against yours and his tail firmly wraps around your waist. If you'll be with any of his siblings for the day, he practically threatens them into watching you closely too.
On the rare occasion that he can't be physically near you, he does his best to remain within eyesight. His attention locks on you, on anyone who approaches you, mentally daring them to even try acting out of line. He isn't a violent person, but Eywa, he wouldn't hesitate to protect what's his.
He's always finding ways to touch you, and you love it. You aren't fully aware of his true motives, simply appreciating how smitten he seems to be. No matter how busy he is, he makes his adoration known with a simple brush of his hand along your back in passing, or a quick peck of his lips on yours before his father inevitably rips him away.
It's mostly innocent, his little routine, until someone who once courted you pushes him too far. There are only a few who dared vie for your affections at the same time as Neteyam.
Truthfully, you didn't pay any of them much attention, only accepting their courting gifts politely as you're expected to do. From the beginning, he had your heart, your decision was made early on and there wasn’t any real competition.
But still, to this day, if one of them gets too close, lingers for too long, Neteyam is instantly on high alert. Like right now.
He's absolutely seething, jaw clenched so firmly he fears he might crack a tooth. His short nails dig into his palms, fists tightened at the ready.
“Mawey (calm), Neteyam.” His grandmother demands roughly, forcing his fingers apart as she works on his battered chest. “You are too tense for wrapping.”
He lets his hands fall onto his thighs instead, fingers splayed and pressing harshly into his skin. His head sways side to side, peering over her as she kneels before him, tending to the injuries he suffered on the latest supply run.
He doesn't pay her poking and prodding any mind, full attention locked on you across the clearing. You're helping, as you always do, dutifully patching up the wounded. He had every intention of being the one beneath your gentle hands, but his grandmother got to him first. He tried, he really did, but there's no arguing with Mo'at.
His jaw grinds as he watches you rub yalnabark into a warriors shoulder. But not just any warrior, of course, it's one of the men who once tried to court you. His heart thrums harshly between his ribs when your head tilts back ever so slightly, a beautiful laugh twinkling from your lips.
Your lips that should only ever part that way for him. Your hands that should only ever touch him. A dangerous possessiveness brews deep wtihin his belly, whispering that everything about you is his. His to claim, to touch, to protect. Just simply his.
In an instant, he's on his feet. Completely ignoring his grandmother's protests—which he knows will get him into trouble later—but he can't find it within himself to care. There's no way he can endure this for even a moment longer.
He approaches swiftly, fists clenched all over again as he stalks toward you from behind. His face is marred with a dark glare, chin dipped, gaze molten beneath his thick brow.
“That's enough.” He barks roughly, large hand covering yours to peel it from the man's skin.
A tiny gasp lodges in your throat at his sudden presence, shoulders stiffening at the firm grasp. Your muscles relax a fraction when wide eyes find your mate, but the relief only lasts for a few seconds as you take in his furious state.
“Neteyam?” Your voice is gentle, questioning, as you place a comforting hand on his bicep.
He doesn't even glance your way, the full force of his wrath locked onto the other warrior.
“Find someone else to finish.” He orders, tone dripping with finality.
The man looks up at him with a blank expression, undeterred. “She's just patching me up, man.”
Neteyam's vision blurs, red dotting his periphery as his chest tightens with rage. Where you see a man simply defending the fact that what you were doing was completely innocent, Neteyam catches the way his lips twitch into a defiant smirk. Sees the challenge swelling just below the surface.
“Like I said, find someone else to do it.” Neteyam steps forward, spine straightening as he towers over the man, ready to pounce at any moment.
“‘Teyam...” His name is a warning under your breath as you move closer, urging him to calm down.
“What? You don't trust your girl or something?” Now, it's clear that was a direct challenge, and it makes you gasp in shock.
Neteyam doesn't hesitate, jerking forward until his fingers wrap firmly around the man's throat. You can't help but cry out, hands moving to cover your mouth as the situation quickly escalates. The man’s good arm instantly claws at the tight hold restricting his airflow, eyes widening in horror.
“Neteyam, please!” You hiss, pulling at his shoulder, panic gripping you as a few curious eyes drift your way.
Finally, he relents, releasing the man and letting you jerk him away. He’s trembling with pent up emotion, muscles coiled tight, but he doesn’t want to cause a scene. Not now, while the clan is regrouping after such a stressful mission.
“Disrespect my mate again, and I’ll show you what a real warrior is capable of.” He doesn’t even sound like himself, voice deep, the warning accented with a ferocious growl.
The man simply watches you drag Neteyam away, stunned that the always docile future Olo’eytkan actually fought back.
You don’t stop until you’ve reached your shared tent, practically shoving him through the entrance. It flaps shut harshly behind you as you stomp in after him, hands resting on your hips when he turns to face you. His ears flatten at your agitation, head dipping in shame.
“What the hell was that?” You snap, fiery gaze boring into his pointedly.
“I didn’t like the way you were touching him.” He knows he took it too far, knows you did nothing wrong, but there’s no escaping the anger that still courses through him. He fights to keep his tone even when he speaks to you, desperate not to make the situation worse.
“You mean when I was tending to his wounds?” Your hands wave animatedly in exasperation, scoffing at the absurdity of it all. “I’m the future Tsahik. What do you want me to do?”
He growls low in his chest, stalking forward until you’re face to face, a mere few inches between you. “You are mine. You agreed to that when we mated. I have every right—”
“You have no right!” You can’t help but shout as frustration curls in your stomach. Your fingers shove against his chest lightly, careful to avoid his freshly wrapped injuries. “You don’t see me threatening other women for simply existing in your presence, do you?”
He forces a tense breath through pursed lips, trying to calm down. This is quickly turning into a fight between the two of you, which is the last thing he wants. He reaches out, fingers gently curling around your arms to stop you from pacing before him.
“I’m sorry, yawne (beloved). I just…I can’t stand the thought of anyone…taking you from me.” His voice is soft, quiet, face tightening as the words leave him. It’s difficult to admit this, to bring attention to his deepest insecurity.
He is the son of Toruk Makto, a mighty warrior, and the future leader of the clan. He isn’t supposed to feel such things, to worry about losing you to another. He’s supposed to exude hard edges and confidence at all times. Not weakness, like he shows now as he stands before you, bearing it all.
“Oh, Nete.” You coo, eyes rounding as you cup his cheek softly. He leans into the touch, eyes fluttering closed with a heavy sigh.
You had no idea he held this turmoil inside, was fighting to remain stoic while watching your every interaction with another. It all makes sense now, his constant desire to keep you close. It wasn’t coming from a place of love, but rather uncertainty.
“I am yours, okay? Come here.” Your gentle touch guides him those last few inches closer, until his lips brush yours in a light caress.
He responds eagerly, relief flooding his system at the fact that you aren’t upset with him, that you understand. His palms skim down your arms before releasing you so he can engulf your waist, pulling you flush against his chest.
His tongue parts your lips, laying claim to your mouth as he groans slowly, adrenaline still coursing through his veins. The kiss quickly becomes feverish, passionate as the desire to assert his ownership of you becomes overwhelming.
You pull away suddenly, fingers tangling in his braids to tug his lips from yours. He growls in protest, chasing your touch as you lean back a few inches. Your heavy-lidded gaze meets his, chest heaving as your heart thrums wildly.
“How do you want me?” You purr, sultry eyes blinking up at him through thick lashes.
“What?” He pants, breathless from the insinuation beneath your words alone. His tail twitches to attention at his back, swaying with excitement.
“I will prove that no other man could even come close to taking me away. Now, how do you want me?” Your fingertips trail down the column of his throat, causing a shiver to roll down his spine.
“On your knees.” The command is gritted through clenched teeth, cock already straining behind his loincloth.
You instantly obey, slowly kneeling before him, hands smoothing down his broad chest and tight stomach on the way down. Your fingers make quick work of releasing his pulsing length, gaze flicking over the huge appendage eagerly as it springs free. Sharp teeth catch your lower lip, tongue wetting your lips in anticipation.
Your eyes catch his just as your mouth closes around his swollen tip, watching in satisfaction as a long moan rumbles his chest, head tilting back at the feeling.
You settle into the floor, finding a comfortable position, ready to show him just how much you belong to him, and only him.

Neteyam X Reader: Reckless behavior
Tumblr media
Warning: talk of death (nothing to bad),fluff
Summary: Neteyams desire to rush into danger got him hurt and made him realise how much he matters to you
You should have known. Even after knowing him for years you still managed to fall for his tricks. You felt like an utter fool. He’d told you he wouldn’t do it but you should have known better, after all Neteyam had never been one to stray away from an adventure.
You’d met when you were both no taller than a tree stump. The people were a great big family and you certainly acted like it. You’d often see children running around the tribe, laughing and playing with each other. The adults always kept a careful eye on the younglings, even if the kids weren’t biologically theirs. You’d been one of those children years ago. You could remember it like it was yesterday.
You remembered running through the trees, Neteyam hot on your trail ever since the two of you had managed to learn how to take your first steps. It was traditional for the kids of the people to coexist with each other quite closely since it built a deep bond, which was highly valued by the tribe. Due to this you and Netayam became attached to each other fairly quickly. Your bond with the boy became even stronger when you lost your parents to the Sky people. If the two of you had been inseparable before the deaths after them it was almost impossible to see you two apart. The Sully family had accepted you with open arms and you’d forever be grateful for their kindness.
Despite all those years Neteyam had somehow managed to trick you.
Jake and Netiry had gone out to do surveillance in an area that supposedly had been taken over by the Sky people. Before they went they’d given you all very clear orders to stay on the ground and far away from their destination. But of course their two sons chose to ignore their orders completely. The second their parents had made it out of view they were racing over to their own Ikrans to take flight. You rushed to where they had mounted the animals, wasting no time to stand in front of Netayams Ikran, your hands wrapping around its nose as you let out a small hiss. Netayam started at you from his position
“What are you doing?”
“I could ask you the same.”
“Oh come on, don’t be a buzzkill. I know you're dying to go check it out.”
“Why would I put myself in harm's way for no reason? Plus your parents said not to go.”
“They always say that. They don’t trust us.”
You turned to the younger boy as he spoke
“Maybe there's a reason for that Lo’ak.”
You snapped your head back to look at Neteyam.
“Maybe it's because it's dangerous and there is a high risk of ending up hurt.”
The eldest son let out an annoyed sigh causing you to frown lightly. You knew how much he loved adventure and as much as you hated having to be the boring one someone had to make sure he lived to see another day. What made it worse was seeing how much it annoyed him. You hated feeling like you caring for his well being was something that irritated him. Actually, you hated feeling like you irritated him. After all, your feelings for him weren't exactly small. Sure you saw him like a friend but there was something else mixed in there. Something you weren't sure you’d ever be able to admit.
Neteyam could tell from your expression that he’d hurt your feelings. His eyes softened as he looked at you. He knew you meant well no matter how much of a fun killer you were being. Neteyam got down from his Ikran, his hand soothing the animal's skin until it came into contact with your own. He pulled your hands away from the animals releasing your grip on its nose. You didn’t fight him, allowing you to move farther away from the animal.
“If you're worried we won’t go.”
“But you-”
“Shhh Lo’ak.”
The younger boy bit his tongue as his brother hissed at him, the look on Lo’aks face made you want to laugh.
“I don’t want you to worry. We’ll go somewhere else okay?”
You gave Neteyam a smile. He was acting rather rational for once. It was usually a lot harder to change his mind. You should have seen it coming but the desire to trust him was so strong that it blinded you to the mischievous glimmer in his eyes.
“Thank you.”
“How about we go to the ponds today?”
“Yeah that’d be nice.”
You turned around, Neteyams hand on your back guiding you to move forward. Everything was fine and then somehow, at the fastest speed you've ever seen him move, Neteyam had raced back to his Ikran and jumped off the ledge. You ran over just as he shot up into the sky and made his way over to his brother.
“I’m going to kill you Neteyam!”
“You’ll have to catch me first!”
You watched the two boys begin to fly away. Realizing the only way to keep them out of trouble was to follow them, you called your Ikran and jumped over the edge. You flew through the sky faster than you ever had before, your eyes constantly searching for the two boys. You started to think you’d gone the wrong way when you heard gunfire. Your eyes fell on a clearing in the middle of the forest. The ground was covered in pieces of the Sky peoples ships and weapons. You scanned the area from above before finding what you were looking for. The moment your eyes found Netayams Ikran your heart calmed down a bit but it didn’t last long.
You watched as Neteyam went to grab one of the weapons on the ground just as one of the Sky people fired in his direction. He was too far to hear the scream of warning you’d let out but it was enough to make your Ikran begin to fly his way. You hopped off the animal before it had even made it completely onto the ground. You stood over Neteyams body, your eyes looking for the shooter anywhere near you. Once you were sure there weren’t any you kneeled down next to your friend. Neteyam looked up at you and coughed. You could feel the anger bubbling up inside you but that would have to wait for later. For now, you had to focus on getting out of here before anyone noticed. You pulled Neteyam onto your Ikran and jumped on. Just as you were about to call Neteyams animal you heard a voice you recognized.
“What are you-”
Jake had seen you. The man stopped his question once he saw his son draped behind you.
“You can chew us out later. I need to get him back home.”
Jake stared at you, he wasn’t used to people talking back to him but given the circumstances he’d accept it.
“Go, I'll cover you.”
You nodded at him before taking off.
Once you’d arrived you rushed to drag Neteyam up. He swatted at your hands, saying he could do it himself. You shut him up with a hiss as you supported him by holding his waist.
“You utter skxawng.”
Neteyam let out a grimace as you placed pressure into the wound on his back. Kiri came out from the tent being followed by Tuk.
“What happened?”
“He’s hurt.”
“I’m fine, it's not a big deal.”
“Tell your grandmother to bring the herbs.”
You watched as Tuk and Kiri raced over to one of the tents opposite your direction. While the girls went to get the medicine you made your way over to your tent, guiding Neteyam to lay down.
“I can do it-”
“Shut up and let me help!”
Neteyams eyes widened at your behavior. He’d never seen you get angry before. Well, he’d seen you angry but it was always easily fixed with some dumb joke or a funny face. That wasn’t the case this time though. He could tell that you were pissed and it didn’t take a genius to figure out why.
“I know your upset-”
“I thought I told you to shut it.”
“Yeah but-”
You looked at Neteyam and that was enough to keep him quiet. He had to make it up to you but now wasn’t the right time. The girls arrived with the plants you’d asked for and you started to work on patching Neteyam up. Every time he winced you put more pressure. It was with the intention of cleaning him up but you couldn’t deny it felt a bit like payback. You want to put yourself in danger? Deal with the consequences. Neteyam could practically see the words forming in your head as you placed the last leaf on his wounds. You dismissed the girls once their help was no longer required. When you got up to leave Jake and Netiry entered the tent.
“Sit.” You did as you were told, finding a place as far from Neteyam as you could which didn’t go unnoticed by his parents. You listened to Jake speak, your mind numb to the words. The tears you’d been holding for a while were threatening to spill out the longer you stayed still. You wished Jake would get on with it already so you could leave. Neteyam watched you as his father spoke, the emotionless expression on your face concerning him.
“And you.”
You raised your head to look at Jake as he referred to you for the first time since he started to speak.
“She had nothing to do with it, dad. She tried to stop me. I should have listened.”
Neteyam looked into your eyes as he uttered the last part. His dad could tell he was being sincere so instead of giving you a row about your behavior he got up and made his way to you. You raised your head so you could look into his eyes. Jake placed a hand on your shoulder before he kneeled down and spoke.
“Thank you for watching over him. If you hadn’t been there it could have been… a lot worse.”
You watched as Jake gulped before speaking. Despite everything he had been scared to lose his son. You felt the same way. Not that you’d ever tell him that. Neteyams parents went away, leaving you alone with the boy. You hurried to get up and leave but before you could Neteyam had gotten to you. He wrapped his arms around your waist from behind fully stopping you from being able to walk away. You tried not to think about how warm he felt. You were supposed to be giving him the cold shoulder but the proximity was making it very hard.
“I’m sorry.”
You kept looking forward, not daring to show any emotions other than rage.
“Hey”
Neteyam moved your hair so it was behind your ear allowing him to rest his head on your shoulder.
“I’m sorry I acted like a skxawng. I should have listened to you.”
Neteyam brushed his nose against your neck. It was something you’d do whenever he’d hug you but he didn’t know what it meant. Your body shuddered at the action, the tears you’d been putting down finally breaking through. No noise left your lips as you cried but Netayam could feel your breathing against his chest as you sobbed.
“Hey…it’s okay I'm right here.”
He turned you around so that your face was buried into him, his hands holding you as close as he could. It hurt knowing he was the one causing you pain. He was sure he’d remember your reaction whenever he thought of doing anything reckless.
“I can’t lose you too.”
Oh Neteyam you idiot. He hadn’t even considered how his actions would affect you. You’d lost your family to the Sky people and for a split second you thought you’d lost him too. Neteyam cursed himself for being so inconsiderate.
“You won’t. It’s alright I'm here. We're okay.”
The blue boy wove his hands into your hair as he tried to soothe you. Your crying stopped after a while. He wondered if that meant you’d forgiven him but then you gave him the strongest shove you could manage.
“You are an idiot Neteyam! I told you not to go but you always have to be the warrior. What's going to happen when I'm not there to save your sorry ass?”
The tears started to well up again as you spoke.
“You can’t do that to me you can't just-your not invincible, you know?”
“I know that.”
“You don’t act like you do! Every time there's danger you're the first to jump at it. You could have died today.”
Neteyam stayed quiet, there was nothing he could say to make this better.
“I could have buried you today.”
Your voice was so low it was a miracle he’d heard you. The words felt worse than any of his wounds. For a moment you’d thought you lost him and that hurt more than anything. Neteyam made his way to you and kneeled down, his hands wrapping around your legs as he rested his face onto your stomach.
“I'm so sorry. I won't do it anymore, I swear. I'm sorry I scared you,flower.”
You closed your eyes, trying to focus on the feeling of Neteyams arms around you. He was alive. He was here and alive. If there was a good time to do it, it was now. You sank down to your knees, allowing you to rest your forehead against Netayams.
“I see you.”
Neteyams ears perked up at your words, his eyes opening to look at you.
“You don’t have to say anything I just wanted you to know since…well since i’ve loved you for ages.”
You lowered your eyes to the ground. Neteyam noticed how nervous you were so he grabbed your chin, guiding you to look up. He placed his head on your shoulder repeating the motion you’d begun doing everytime the two of you hugged. Your very own way of saying ‘I love you’ without uttering the words out loud.
“You know what it means?”
“I figured it out a while after you started doing it.”
A blush creeped onto your cheeks.
“Gosh I feel ridiculous.”
“Don’t, I think it's cute. Our own way of saying we love each other.”
“Does this mean you feel the same?”
“Does this answer your question?”
Neteyam leaned down and placed a kiss on your lips. Your hands weaved into his hair as you deepened the kiss and Neteyam could swear Euwa had made you for him herself. He swore to himself he’d stop with his reckless behavior. He had everything he needed right here and he couldn’t wait for the great adventures the two of you would have together.

Word count: 4.1k
Warnings: some spiciness but nothing explicit
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6
A large splash outside of your pod startled you out of your sleep. You blinked your eyes blearily as you took a deep breath. Outside, the sky was a dim gray, indicating the eclipse was ending and the morning was just beginning.
You tried stretching to wake yourself further, but you found that your body was trapped against the heavy weight of your mate. One of his arms was wrapped tightly around your waist while his face was buried in your hair, and your legs were tangled together.
You frequently woke up like this. Even after nearly three years of being together, Neteyam seemed as drawn to your body in his sleep as he did when he was awake. You savored the feeling of his warm skin against your back, and you wished you could fall back asleep again, but you knew it was time for you to get up.
Slowly and reluctantly, you pushed yourself up from where you had been laying. Neteyam's arm still rested on your waist, and you had to gently push him off of you. He withdrew it and shifted with a sigh, still unconscious.
You looked back down at him with a small smile. Three years still hadn't taken away the way the adoration you felt for him. You loved waking up next to him every morning, and you loved falling asleep with him every night.
You leaned over to place a kiss on Neteyam's forehead. Your movements must have pulled him from his sleep because he began to stir. Without opening his eyes, he tilted his head up to search for your lips with his. You smiled and moved down to kiss him gently.
"It's so early," he mumbled against your mouth, his voice low and raspy from sleep. "I know," you replied quietly. "But I promised to join the first catch today, remember?" He hummed in response, and he brushed his fingers against your waist.
"Stay a little longer," he implored, his eyes still closed. You chuckled at him. "I can't," you replied. "I gave my word I would help." He heaved a large sigh, his fingers still brushing your skin. "Don't go," he muttered quietly.
You shook your head at him with a smile. "You could come with us," you suggested. He hummed again. "I am not yet awake," he replied with a faint smile.
An idea formed in your head, and a slow smirk grew on your face. You turned your body toward him and crawled onto his lap, straddling him. You saw how his breathing changed just from your movement, and his eyes finally blinked opened to look up at you.
"Maybe I could help wake you up," you suggested innocently. The smirk that grew on his face mirrored your own, and his hands wandered up your thighs to rest on your hips. "I like that idea," he murmured in a low voice.
"Is that right?" You asked in a teasing tone before rocking your hips against his. He didn't respond, grunting softly instead as his body tightened in reaction to the friction between you. You ran your hands over the hard muscles of his torso up to his chest, and you could feel how his heartbeat quickened under your palm.
You leaned over and kissed him, and this time, his lips parted to receive yours eagerly. You continued slowly grinding against him, and he groaned at the feeling. His hands gripping your hips encouraged your movements as he slipped his tongue into your mouth.
"You wore me out last night," you murmured with a sly grin. "I would have thought you needed more sleep after what we did." He hummed quietly, a smirk growing on his face as the memories of your moans replayed in his head from the previous night. "What do you mean?" He asked mischievously. "I could've kept going." You chuckled, and you were sure he was telling the truth. He had impressive stamina.
Sliding your hands up to his neck, you began slowly pulling away from him. As you had wanted, he chased after your lips, sitting up slowly as his arms wrapped around your torso. "I think we should do this every morning," he mumbled between kisses. You smiled against his lips, knowing that he was not going to like what you were going to say next.
"You know what I think?" You asked as he trailed his kisses down your neck. "Tell me what you think," he whispered against your skin, his voice growing breathy in anticipation. You savored the last few seconds of his touch before replying, "I think you are awake now."
His lips paused, and when he looked back up at your face, you planted one last, chaste kiss on his mouth before rolling off of his lap. He looked confused as you stood up and stretched before he realized what you meant. That was all the action you were going to give him.
"Why would you do that?" He groaned. You chuckled at his distress. "I told you," you replied, "I am helping with first catch. Since you are awake now, you can help, too." Neteyam was not amused, and on his face, you could see the lust still burning in his eyes.
"I'm going to get you for that," he promised in a low voice. You smirked. "I'm counting on it," you shot back before climbing down the net ladder to your living space and walking out into the dim morning light.
Outside, there were already a couple early-risers out in the water. They were spread out along the shallow parts of the water with cast nets in hand. Walking out to the beach, you were greeted by the sight of Tsireya.
You were forever grateful for her friendship. After the Rite of First Blood, everybody changed in the way they treated you, and the clan held a visible animosity toward Neteyam for his victory. No doubt it would have stayed that way for a long time had Tsireya not been there to shut down nasty gossip and treat the two of you respectfully. Thanks to her, people no longer stared at you when you were with Neteyam.
She had always been like a sister to you, but that status was more official now that she was Lo'ak's mate. Her parents—specifically Ronal—had not been very happy when they asked for their blessing, but ever since you left your role, they had become more open to listening to what their children wanted from life.
They both had forgiven you for what had happened, but it had take Ronal quite a while before she spoke to you again. She held on to her animosity for nearly two years before she realized that she was the only one left still angry at you. Aonung had moved on with the new tsakarem, and Tonowari could see that you were happier than ever now.
"Does Lo'ak know you are here?" You asked Tsireya with a smile as you stepped into the water behind her. She turned at the sound of your voice, her growing belly sticking out just enough to be noticeable. "I told him yesterday I would be here," she said with a shrug. "It is not my fault if he does not remember."
You laughed. "I know exactly what you mean," you replied. You watched as she threw her cast net gracefully out in the water. "We better hope Lo'ak does not find out you are actually doing work," you teased with a knowing smile as she pulled in her catch. She sighed in mild exasperation. Her mate had been treating her like she was a fragile sea shell ever since discovering that she was with child, and you could plainly see that Tsireya was growing tired of his diligent oversight.
As if on cue, the sounds of someone cutting through the water interrupted your conversation, and you turned around to find Lo'ak wading into the water with you. "Good morning," you greeted as he passed you toward Tsireya. "Morning," he mumbled, still half-asleep apparently.
Coming up behind Tsireya, he placed a kiss on her temple as he gently took the ropes of the net from her hands. "Let me do it," he told her. She huffed at him but let him take it. "I can fish perfectly well on my own," she argued. "I have done it longer than you." Lo'ak gave her a soft smile. "I know," he acknowledged. "But I want to do it for you."
Tsireya sighed and gave you a pointed look. You couldn't help but smile at her. Even though you knew she didn't enjoy all the coddling, you couldn't deny that you found Lo'ak's concern at least a little endearing. He was so excited and nervous to be a father, and it showed in how much he doted on Tsireya.
"I hope my brother isn't still sleeping," Lo'ak told you as he pulled in Tsireya's catch. You smirked as you replied, "He was awake when I left."
"He is still awake," a voice called out behind you. You turned to find that Neteyam was already in the water stepping towards the three of you. You gave him a coy smile and said, "There you are." Neteyam looked at you with a face that said he still wasn't over the stunt you pulled earlier, but he still came in and gave you a quick kiss.
The four of you spread out across the shallow water (Lo'ak reluctantly gave in to Tsireya's insistence on helping). When you brought your nets in, those who were preparing the food for the morning took over, and it gave those who helped with first catch a break before first meal.
Neteyam pulled you firmly by your hand back to your home, obviously eager to get you alone to resume what you had started earlier. You both headed back to your pod, and you couldn't help but smirk as he pulled you up to the more private pod above your living space. "We are going to need to go back out soon," you told him as you followed him up the net.
Neteyam didn't respond as he stepped up the ladder quickly in front of you. As soon as you stepped up into your room, he pulled you into a heated kiss. "Not until I'm done with you," he whispered in a low voice that made your heart quicken.
You smiled against his mouth as you wrapped your arms around him. He pressed forward, and you took a few steps back before moving to lay down. He followed after you eagerly and planted his hands on either side of your head. "I've spent all morning thinking about how to get back at you," he murmured as he gazed down at you. "I think I know just the way."
His lips moved down your neck, kissing the tattoo that now marked the skin there and reached down to connect to the tattoo on your chest. You hummed at his heated touch and at the promise of more. He moved his hands to trace down your body, causing your breathing to grow shaky. When he reached your thighs, he gently push them open, raising his head up from your neck to smile deviously.
Before he could make another move, a young voice called from below, "Neteyam!"
You both froze, and Neteyam closed his eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. You had to stifle a giggle at the poor timing of the situation and at Neteyam's clear aggravation at being interrupted for the second time that day. You both stayed quiet as you listened closely, praying that you could be alone.
"Neteyam!" The voice called again, more insistent this time, and you had no doubt who it was. Neteyam dropped his head against your shoulder and groaned softly in defeat before calling out, "Tuk, please, we are resting." You shot him a skeptical look and mouthed, "Resting?" He shrugged at you weakly, and you rolled your eyes.
The floor of your pod wobbled a little, indicating that Tuk was climbing up the net ladder. Neteyam quickly rolled off of you, and you turned your body away from him to seem as though you had actually been resting. In a few seconds, Tuk's head appeared, and she pulled herself up and into your pod.
"Why are you still sleeping?" She demanded to know. "Everybody is up already." You could hear the sigh Neteyam heaved before he replied, "We were up with the first catch. We just wanted to relax for a while before eating."
Tuk plopped down right between you and Neteyam, blissfully unaware of what she had interrupted. "You promised that you would help me make a new knife," she reminded her brother. The youngest Sully, though still a child, was quickly growing bigger and older, and she felt that she had outgrown her small dagger from the forest.
Neteyam sighed again and rubbed his hand over his face. "Tuk, the sun has not even been out for an hour," he pointed out. "We will get to it later." Tuk's shoulders slouched in disappointment. "You always get so busy in the day," she argued. "Please, can we work on it now?"
Neteyam closed his eyes for a moment, gathering his patience. "It will take a long time to make a new knife," he explained in a level voice. "It will not be finished for a while." You could see that all he wanted was for his sister to leave so that he could resume feeling your body under his. You wanted it too, but you knew arguing with Tuk was a losing battle.
"Come on, Neteyam," you said, nudging Tuk playfully. "Surely you can spare an hour to help her, at least to get it started." Tuk beamed at you and faced her brother eagerly and expectantly. Neteyam shot you a peeved look before closing his eyes again and muttering, "Fine, let's go."
Tuk sprang to her feet triumphantly as Neteyam sat up from the floor reluctantly. She didn't even bother checking that her brother was following her before she began climbing back down to your open living quarters. Neteyam moved much slower than she did, and before he headed down, he gave you one last, hot kiss that left you wanting more.
"I am definitely going to get you for that," he whispered in a restless voice. You smirked and replied in a silky voice, "Can't wait." His jaw clenched, and you knew he was fighting hard not to take you right then and there. With a huff, he pushed himself off the ground the follow after his sister.
They must've still been working by the time you went out to eat. Your eyes scanned the crowd, trying to find your mate's distinct hue amongst the rest of the people, but he was nowhere to be found. Instead, you noticed Tsireya and Lo'ak sitting together across from Aonung.
Walking over to join them, you raised a hand to your head in greeting toward Aonung, and he didn't hesitate to reciprocate the gesture. It took a long time for you to mend your relationship with him, and it had mended like a broken bone; it was functional, dependable even, but it will never be as strong as it once was, and when it came under strain, old pains would resurface.
What had helped most was when someone else was finally chosen to take the role you had abdicated. You knew from Tsireya that Tonowari and Ronal were much more conscious of giving Aonung a say in who would be his tsahik, and the woman he had chosen was confident and willing. Since then, his grudge against you and Neteyam had softened, but there would always be remnants of bitterness from him towards your mate for besting him in combat.
It wasn't long before Neteyam finally showed up with Tuk in tow. "Where have you been?" Tsireya asked Neteyam as he sat down at your side. With a small sigh, he answered, "Tuk insisted on starting her new dagger this morning."
Your friend smiled as she leaned her head against Lo'ak's tattooed shoulder. "How sweet," she said. With a coy smile, you agreed, "I think so, too." Neteyam shot you an unamused glare, and you had to look away to keep from giggling.
"I am going with a group to collect the reef clams," Tsireya informed you. "Would you like to come?" You considered her offer before nodding and saying, "I would love to." You enjoyed spending time in the reef, and with spending it with your friend made it even better.
After eating, you went with her to dive in the reef with the gill mantles on your back to give you breath. You began foraging through the dense sea grass to collect the reef clams that were scattered across the sea floor. The group was small, just you, Tsireya, and a couple others. You weren't sure how long you were out there before you were surprised by Neteyam appearing out of the corner of your eye.
'I came to help,' he signed to you when he saw your questioning face. You smiled at him. You knew he just wanted to spend time with you. He found a gill mantle and began searching for sea clams through the grass with the rest of your group.
You reached for another one but paused when you noticed the swaying leaves of sea nettle mingled amongst the grass around it. Regretfully, you left the clam where it lay, deciding that it wasn't worth the pain of getting stung. As you drifted away from the abandoned clam, Neteyam swam by and noticed it.
Either he didn't see the nettle or thought he could avoid it, but whatever the case, he reached his hand toward the clam. You looked back at him right as his arm flinched away from the nettle. His face immediately grimaced in pain, and you moved over to him in concern. It was difficult to inspect his arm clearly in the water, so you pointed up to the surface.
He understood instantly and nodded before kicking up to the surface with you. When you broke above the water, Neteyam inhaled sharply from the burning sting that ran from his hand all the way up his forearm. "Are you okay?" You asked as you pulled off your gill mantle from your back. With a bitter chuckle, he shook his head and muttered, "I didn't even see it."
You grabbed his hand to inspect it, but covered in water, it was difficult to see. An idea popped into your mind as you thought of how to help him.
"I have a little bit of the oil for stings," you told him with a sly smile. "I think we should go back home so I can take care of this." Despite the pain he was in, you could tell by his eyes that your words sparked his interest. "I think that is a good idea," he replied with a smirk.
You both swam back towards the beach without explaining to anyone why you were leaving. When you arrived back at your home, you crossed over to where you kept a small jar of the medicinal oil for his sting. Before you could even turn around, Neteyam snaked his uninjured arm around your waist and began kissing your neck from behind.
You couldn't help but sigh and lean back into him for a moment. "So impatient," you murmured with a smile. "I actually have the remedy for you." He sighed softly before reluctantly pulling away.
You turned to face him, and you gestured to the floor as a silent demand for him to sit down. Obediently, he moved to sit on the floor, and you followed suit across from him. You took his arm and began inspecting it for any remnants of the nettle.
"Touching sea nettle," you muttered in a chastising tone. "I thought you knew better than that." He still wore his smirk as he watched you examine his hand. "Do you remember the last time I touched nettle?" He asked.
You didn't take your eyes off of his hand as a smile tugged at your lips. "Of course, I do," you replied, still smiling. "That was the first time I met you." He hummed quietly, and you couldn't help but look up at his face. He was looking down at you tenderly, clearly replaying the memory from all those years ago when you sat across from him holding his hand exactly the way you were doing now.
"You were so beautiful," he said softly. "I couldn't stop staring." You rolled your eyes at him playfully and muttered under your breath, "Skxawng." You had heard this story before, but you never grew tired of listening to him retell how he fell in love with you.
You poured the oil over his hand and slowly began massaging his palm. As you worked, you reflected fondly on the first time you met Neteyam. You remembered how his obvious staring had flustered you a little, his eyes studying you silently as you rubbed your thumbs over his skin. He was doing it now, too.
"From that first day, I knew I was in trouble," he continued, the fingers of his free hand tracing over your leg softly. His touch sent chills over your body, and you looked up at him with a crooked grin. "And it got you into even more trouble eventually," you added pointedly, rubbing the oil up his forearm.
His lips pulled into a tender smile. "It was worth it," he replied softly, gazing into your eyes with adoration. "You were worth it. You were worth everything."
Even after three years together, he still managed to make you heart flutter with his words. You couldn't help but smile even more, and you pulled him forward by the arm in your hands and kissed him. It was sweet and loving, conveying every word you could say and every feeling that you felt.
His hands ran over your thighs softly before he grabbed your legs and pulled them towards him, causing you to fall softly backwards onto the floor with a startled laugh. Neteyam moved forward and hovered his body over yours as he kissed you passionately.
"Now, if you or anyone else interrupts," he muttered against your mouth, "I am going to lose my mind." You giggled as he continued moving his lips against yours. "People are going to notice that we're gone," you told him quietly, but you knew he didn't care. Neither did you.
He chuckled at you. "As long as they don't disturb us," he said, smirking down at you.
With a smile, you brought your arms up to wrap around him as he continued kissing you. You never tired of these moments with him. You never would. His love and devotion was constant, and though it had been difficult facing the initial backlash of choosing to leave your role, there was never a moment together that you regretted.
You closed your eyes and sighed in contentment as Neteyam moved his mouth down to kiss your jaw. He must have been able to tell you were lost in thought because he whispered, "What are you thinking about?"
With a smile, you replied, "You."
He hummed. "What about me?" He questioned in a low voice as he lazily kissed down your neck, and you could tell that he was smiling as he asked. You knew he was expecting a scandalous answer, but instead, you told him, "I'm thinking about how happy you make me."
His lips paused, and he moved his head to look back at you. He held your gaze as a gentle smile grew on his face, and he brought a hand up to hold your face. "That is all I ever wanted," he murmured reverently before kissing you again. You smiled against his mouth and let go of your thoughts as he began exploring your skin with his hands and his lips, eager to worship your body.
You closed your eyes to enjoy his sensual touch. You relished these moments, his sweet words and his body on yours. It was difficult to recall the time when he wasn't in your life, and it was even harder to imagine how it would have been without him. Now, you spent every day with the one you loved without the regret or guilt that had plagued you for so long. Happiness and peace had taken their places, and you found that Neteyam was right.
It was worth it

Netayam x loner! Omatikaya reader
Reader is the daughter of a Na’vi women who’s mate was killed in the first movie by humans and because of this she left the clan and went far out into the forest where she knew her and her child would be safe.
TW! Aged up netayam just for plot (no NSFW)
Enjoy and my requests are open so feel free to ask my anything … one love🫶🏾
Oh who is she?
Tumblr media
The sound of crying put me on edge. Who would be this far away from the village is the first thought that found its way into my brain, I let curiosity get the best of me. As I got closer I spotted a young girl pressed up against a tree, I got as close as possible without being spotted she seemed scared.
“Hey kid you ok?” My voice made her jump, she couldn’t be any older than eight “no I can’t find my way back to the village” she sobbed. I let out a sigh as I crouch down in front of her “what’s your name kid” she replied “tuk” through quite hiccups, “ ok tuk come on I’ll help you get back” she immediately jumped up and grabbed my wrist.
I took her to a stream about a mile away from the village “ok kid it’s a straight shot from her” I said while prying he hand from my wrist, a confused look found its way onto her face. She opened her mouth to ask me a question but before she could get it out someone yelled her name “Tuk there you are” as we looked up we saw a man with long braids, he was unlike any man I had ever seen, his eyes were staring into my soul “netayam” yelled the girl in excitement as she ran over and hugged his leg The impact of the hug made him look down, and when he looked back up, I was gone.
It had been a month since I helped the young girl and all I could think about was him, and he must’ve been thinking about me as well . For a month straight during eclipse he would walk around the forest like he was searching for something. The entire month I watched him from the trees, it made me uneasy that a Na’vi would come so far into the forest especially at this hour. Once again my curiosity got the best of me and I decided that I would confront him, but that was three days ago I just couldn’t seem to work up the courage, when he turned around to go back to the village his ears fell flat against his head he seemed discouraged, it’s now or never I whispered to myself.
I threw a pebble behind him to turn his attention away from me, it worked. The sound of it hitting the ground caught his attention, and he turned around, but he saw nothing I took this chance to get about an arms length in front of him, he jumped when he turned back around.
“Oh you scared me” he said through and awkward chuckle,I continued to stare at him. “Ive been looking for you I just wanted to say thank you for bringing my sister back” he said while scratching the back of his neck, “you’ve been walking around the forest for a month just to thank me?” I ask while tilting my head “you’ve been watching me?” He asked dumbfounded, all I could do was nod my head as a response. It fell silent again as we watched each other, I let out a sigh and began walking away “hey wait” he said reaching out to grab my wrist, that stopped me dead in my tracks no one other than my mother had ever touched me, i thought while moving my gaze from his hand on my wrist to his eyes. Beautiful, I thought “ will you meet me here tomorrow night?” Immediately I shook my head, he was stranger , a threat only eaway knows what he was planning “ please I just want to talk” my head was screaming no, this would go against everything I’ve ever known before I could even form my mouth to say no my soul took over “ only talk?” It came out as a whisper, softer than i would have liked “only talk” he said in a promising tone.
That had been 7 months ago, every night for 7 months we would meet and talk for hours, he told me everything and so did I. But recently something has changed instead of looking at me he would look anywhere else, his visit were shorter and so were his response’s.
“Are you mad at me?” This question seemed to shock him “what! No why would you think that?” He asked confused “well what has changed? What is wrong?” he let out a sigh and looked ahead at the small pool of water in front of us, it was a long while before he answered my question “it is time for me to find a mate” he whispered, I immediately felt sick to my stomach “oh, well I’m sure there’s plenty of fine women in the clan to choose from” I said trying my best to hide my sadness “I don’t want them” he stated matter of factly he turned to look at me and only then did I notice how close we were but I didn’t bother to move, I couldn’t “I’ve already chosen” he said while moving his hand to caress the side of my face “but this woman must also chose me” with a shaky voice I responded “ she already chose you a long time ago”

Anomaly- Chapter 1
Neteyam
Sky People.
The invasive species that have somehow found themselves on our planet, on our land, and even in our clan.
I’ve known of these people my entire life. My own father used to be one of them and even one of my siblings' closest friends is one of them. The two scientists standing before me were even a part of the species.
Many people in our clan fear the sky people, only accepting Spider since he was raised among us. I can never say I have feared them though, my dad being the man who prevented that. But that does not mean I necessarily like the sky people, or want any more of them around than we already have.
My father feels the same way hence why his ears shoot up alertly when one of the human scientists mentions bringing two more sky people to their lab.
Norm had been trying to convince my dad to meet with him for the past month. Seeing as he is very busy, making the time to be here had been very hard. Had he known what Norm and Max were going to ask he would have said no before even arriving, let alone drag Lo’ak and I along.
I look over at my brother who stands on the opposing side of my dad, he looks annoyed as he brings his face mask up to his face to take a breath. I understand why though, I had been brought here to see how an Olo’eyktan would handle situations with the human scientists, but Lo’ak was here simply as punishment. He had stayed out past the eclipse and seeing as he hated meetings, my father made him join us here.
“You two really begged me here to ask a stupid ass question like that? No, you can not invite any more humans here,” my dad bluntly responds.
“Well they are not exactly humans per say,” Norm corrects. “They are more a mix between humans and na’vi.”
“Okay, so they are avatars? That doesn’t change my decision.” My dad moves to leave but the other scientist, Max, steps in front of his colleague.
“Jake, please fully hear us out.”
My dad sighs before stepping slightly back, signifying he would hear them out. Max nods to Norm, signifying for him to continue. “Okay well,” Norm states, “These two, these siblings, are not avatars as you once were. They are quite literally a genetic mix of both humans and na’vi.”
Lo’ak and I give eachother an interesting look before my dad responds, “Norm, look, I understand how as a scientist you may find that interesting, but they were raised around humans and that mindset. How would we know that this isn’t just some plot to invade us?  Contact with that RDA base alone is so dangerous, Norm,  let alone bringing them to us, you know that. In fact, how do you know about them at all?”
“Well.. about five years-”
“Five years?!”
“Let him finish,” Max cuts my dad off. Only a few were bold enough to do so, but seeing as they were friends, my dad simply complied.
“About five years ago,” Norm resumes, “Our signal was interrupted by the RDA base.” Those words not only further peak my brother and I’s interest but also my fathers. Norm, Max, and the other human scientists here had apparently spent years perfecting their signal security to keep data away from the RDA.
It had been strong, nobody had been able to get through it. Or, so we thought.
“I thought that was impossible,” my dad states.
“So did we,” Norm responds.
“But one of the two, the girl, was able to get through it like it was nothing,” Max adds. “Not to mention she was only thirteen at the time.”
“Although impressive,” my dad states, “I don’t see why this should make me welcome them here.”
“Well,” Norm starts again, “I had stayed in touch with her after that day. She was young and curious, but most importantly hated everything the RDA had been ingrained into their brains. I taught her about Pandora outside of what I knew the RDA had been saying to her. I taught her that the na’vi were not the ‘animalistic species’ that the humans wanted them to think they were.”
“That sounds great and all, but the clan is not a charity center. We can’t just take in random people because we feel bad.”
“Yes, I know that, Jake,” Norm says, frustration lightly dripping from his tongue. “But frankly I think it’s the least you could do.”
“Oh yeah, what have they done for me that should make me want to let them here?”
“Um, let’s think about how few raids you have had recently.. you think the RDA was just backing off? No, it was them cleverly sabotaging any plan they could have. Or how that girl has spent the past few years manipulating their experiments to avoid scientific developments that could lead to your demise. They risk themselves so often for people they have only heard of and they are only eighteen, Jake.”
“Not to mention all the things they must know,” Max cuts in. “All the info they must take in on the daily that you could benefit from in avoiding the RDA and their restriction. You need to think more strategically, man.”
I look up at my dad, he’s pondering their words yet his demeanor says no, it says that he will not back down on his initial answer.
“Come on, Jake,” Norm says. “These kids just want a normal life, one that they certainly won't get at that lab especially if they stay any longer. You know what it’s like being young and seeking a chance of actually making something of yourself. Don’t deprive them of that chance.”
Before my dad could make up his mind the distant sound of what seemed like the heavy front door shutting from somewhere else in the building sounds. There are two voices, one of a boy who is laughing, and the other of a girl which seems to be telling the boy to ‘shut the fuck up.’
The attention instantly falls back on the two scientists whose faces are both of guilt. “I know you did not bring them here anyway,” my dad mumbles in a mix of anger, annoyance, and just plain frustration.
“Well we thought that you were going to say yes and we just thought that this meeting was going to be three days ago which is how long their trip was,” Norm blurted out.
As the voices of the two get closer, my fathers lowers. “You two realize that as of now they have no set place to go? This was a dumb decision.”
“No, they can stay here until then, Jake, just please don’t push them away. Not yet, not until you’ve at least met them.”
“Fine,” my dad breathes out once more as our attention all draws to the door of the lab we were currently in as the voices draw nearer.
“It can’t possibly be that bad,” the boy laughs.
“Could you just shut up?” the girl asks in annoyance. “Where the hell is Norm?”
“LITTLE SCIENTIST FRIEND!!” the boy calls out. “WHERE ARE YOU?!” The sound of a slap echoes through the halls, “Owww.”
“Stop yelling, dumbass,” the girl mumbles.
My dad sends an unimpressed look to Norm who’s face reddens in embarrassment before he speaks up, “We’re in here!”
The directions of their  footsteps seem to change. “Who is ‘we?’” the girl asks as she slightly ducks to make it through the doorway. She pauses though when she sees my father, my brother and I.
Before she can say anything else though, a loud thud sounds from behind her. The boy, who seemed to not have noticed how low the door frames were, holds his head where he had harshly hit it. “Ah shit,” he mumbles, as he ducks to properly enter the lab.
The girl instantly breaks out into laughter, one hand covering her mouth and the other holding on her side. I think at that brief moment we all, excluding Norm and Max, noticed one defining trait of the two. They looked exactly the same, they were twins.
But of course other traits drew our attention, like the fact that despite their obviously human faces, they had tails and the boy had a que falling from the back of his head. Or the fact that they had the same striped marking as us, but instead of blue, their skin was that of a human shade. They had five fingers similarly to half of my family, but the same ears that all na’vi had.
“Would you stop laughing?” the boy asks, his hand still holding his forehead in pain.
The girl still laughs as she mocks previous words that had been heard from down the hall, “Awh, come on. It can’t possibly be that bad.”
The boy grimaces at his twin while I take the chance to look up at my dad once again. His eyes were transfixed on the twins as I had, yet they had fully softened as the same realization that we all had set in.
They truly were just kids.
“Guys,” Norm says, drawing their attention back to our side of the room.
“Sorry,” the boy mumbles as he pulls his hand away from his face, although his eye still narrows from the pain in his head.
The girl still has a slight smile on her face though as the two of them make their way towards our side of the room. As they draw nearer I pick up on the fact that although they are significantly taller than Norm and Max, they are also much shorter than the average na’vi.
“What were you two fussing about in the hallway?” Max asks as the twins simultaneously reach behind them, in between their jacket and their back, removing a small handgun from their respective waist bands. As if heavily coordinated to move in sync, they both unload their guns, sliding the thing that holds the bullets into their left pocket and placing the guns on one of the tables near the entrance.
The boy answers when they finally join the group of us at the center of the lab, “She got hurt and has been complaining about it for the past five hours.”
We all look at the girl but she just grimaces up at her brother before sighing and looking at Norm. “I got stung by like three Zezi’,” she explains, her pronunciation of the na’vi insect rolling off her tongue almost perfectly.
Norm’s face turns into one of concern, “Can I see?”
The girl nods before letting her jacket fall off her shoulders. She wore one of those very small shirts that I've seen pictures of human women wear. With her jacket gone, the marks that scattered over her skin in the same way that bioluminescent marks would scatter over na’vi bodies were now visible. But instead of glowing, the majority of the marks were just a darker shade of her normal skin shade, humans call them freckles.
Besides her marks, the most obvious thing presented on her exposed torso were the three huge, red stings that had definitely been left by the Zezi’. Knowing how bad just one of those stings are; my dad, Lo’ak, and I all wince at even the sight of the three of them. The girl rolls her eyes at our reaction, mumbling, “You’re telling me.”
Norm nods over to one of the lab benches near us before going off to grab something, “Sit up there, I have something that will help.”
The girl moves to the table, her brother in tow. She hops up on to the table where he simply leans against it. Jake looks to Max, expecting something that he was not getting. “um,” Max stumbles out, “Why don’t you two introduce yourself to my good friend Jake.”
“The Olo’eyktan?” the boy asks.
“Mhmm,” Norm hums as he returns. He has a tiny jar in his hands, “he and his children are eager to meet you.”
The twins' eyes flicker to my father who was visibly frustrated. “He doesn’t look eager,” the girl states.
“What’s up with you?” the boy asks.
Norm sighs at their questioning as he opens the jar beside the girl. He removes a leaf that had been soaked in a medicine that my grandmother had made him to help with healing these wounds. “Well, I can’t say that I am excited to be welcoming you too.”
The girl rolled her eyes before mumbling to Norm, “You didn’t tell me he was so rude.”
“Y/n,” Norm warns her away from speaking ill of my father.
“What? I’m just saying tha- ah shit!” The girl, who’s apparently called ‘Y/n,’ sentence is cut short when Norm places the leaf against one of the stings. Her ears fold down and she squeezes her eyes shut. In contrast to her, the boy beside her ears shoots up in alertness as he seems to check on his sister.
“Sorry,” Norm mumbles. The girl brushes him off before she looks back to my dad, expecting him to finish explaining himself.
He does just that. “I am not excited because I had no clue you too were going to be here. Considering you guys are coming from our main enemy, I don’t think I can let you simply join our clan.”
The twins look at my dad as if they have seen a ghost, they are so distracted by his words that Y/n doesn't even seem to notice when  Norm placed another leaf, aside from her stifled inhale. “What do you mean you didn’t know?” the boy asks.
The girl looks at Norm, slightly pushing him away before he could place the last leaf. “I thought you said that he was okay with it.”
Norm’s face turns red in guilt, “Well I was expecting him to say yes sooner.” As he explains himself he places the last leaf. This time, when he places the leaf, the girl seems to express the pain by hitting Norm in the arm. “Oww,” he says, holding his arm. “What was that for?”
“For being an idiot! You really made Noah and I take that long ass trip without even knowing if he would let us stay or not?”
“I thought he was going to meet with me sooner. I thought that by the time he said yes you would have already been on your way here, my timing just didn’t work out. But, he’s at least thinking about it.”
Y/n looks to my dad hopefully. Norm looks to my dad with the same look, except his begs for my dad to lie for his own sake. Despite either look, my idiot of a brother decides to instigate, “He never said that.”
“Look, kid,” my dad says solemnly. “You have to understand it from my point of view. I am the leader of the clan and me allowing you too to simply join would not be smart on my part. You come from the people that threaten the existence of my very clan. Do you understand where I’m coming from?”
The boy's ears are flat against his head when he responds, “Yes.”
My dad looks at the girl next but she has somewhat of a defiant look etched onto her face. “Do you?” my dad questions again.
“Well, I do, but I don’t necessarily agree,” she responds. “I think your logic is flawed.”
With those simple words, the atmosphere shifts. Nobody challenged my dad ever; not on his plans, not on his logic. The only people who had a say were my mother and my grandmother. Definitely not the random girl that had randomly arrived here merely a few minutes ago.
“Y/n,” Max warns this time, taking a step closer to the two.
“No,” my dad says, putting a hand up before looking back at the girl. “What’s wrong with my logic?”
“Well,” the girl starts as she pulls her legs up onto the table and crosses them. “I totally understand you wanting to protect your people. There is nothing wrong with that, but I feel that if you push us away you’d only be harming the clan you’re trying so hard to protect. I mean, you haven’t even considered why we’re even here, because I assure you it’s not just for kicks and giggles.”
My dad sighs, “Why are you here?”
A smug smile covers her face, “I thought you’d never ask.”
“We’re here because we want to help you,” her brother cuts in, getting the conversation back on track.
“Why would I need help?” my dad asks.
“Maybe because the RDA is making plans that you’d most likely never see coming.”
“Plans that my brother and I are very much aware of,” Y/n starts back. “Even with future plans out of the picture, you’ve got to have noticed how little raids you have had. That was us. And in all honesty, if I wanted to bring harm to your people I could've drained every bit of info these scientists had when I had intercepted your lousy signal five years ago. But I didn’t, because I care about your land and your people. We both do. But with the way things are going now, even our attempts at holding them back are faltering. And us being there, with those scientists, will only progress the speed of their progress.”
“What plans?” my dad.
Her mouth almost turns down into a frown before she speaks again, “Well they no longer seek unobtainium as they used to. At this point they seek to make Pandora the new habitat for humans.”
“Which is why we even exist at the moment,” the boy adds.
“What?” Lo’ak asks a question that I know the three of us are all pondering.
“Okay,” the girl restarts. “At first the RDA seeked data and resources from the land. But seeing the downwards spiral that Earth is going through, they are now seeking to make Pandora the new Earth. They no longer want what you can give them, they want your people gone and for being’s like Noah and I to replace the na’vi, making it a new, human conquered and inhabited land.”
“So they’ve just thrown the whole Avatar Program out the window?” My dad asks, heavily hanging on to each of her words.
“And what’s the difference between you two and an avatar?” I ask.
The girl looked between the two of us before answering my dad first, “Yes, they closed down the Avatar Program about three years after you left, Mr. Sully. And to answer your question,” she looks at me, “Avatar are simply bodies that inhabit the mind of a human. Noah and I are genetically bound to these bodies how you are to yours and how humans are to their original form without the Avatar.”
The girl lifts her five-fingered  hand, looking at it as she speaks, “Noah and I were born into these bodies.” She drops her hand before looking at my father, “After years of research they’ve found out how to create a perfect mix between na’vi and human traits. It’s a true and honest fact that should scare the shit out of you because if they are able to reproduce our DNA then they are just one step closer to replacing humankind with beings like us. And another step closer to getting rid of your people.”
There is a frighteningly still silence in the air as Noah speaks again, “Not to mention the specific vendetta that Quaritch has against you.”
“Oh yeah, that man hates your guts.”
The name shocks all of us, Lo’ak and I had only ever heard of it from stories of the war that was fought many years ago. We were told that he was dead though, the only living trace of him on this planet being his son Spider. My dads eyes narrow as he steps closer to them, “Where did you hear that name?!”
“Um, most recently..?”
“Probably, five days ago when he got mad at Y/n and I and we were called to his office.”
Y/n laughs as she looks over to her brother and further explains, “He was so pissed because we had missed our training and apparently it was ‘crucial for us to be there.’”
“Your impression of him is so bad,” he laughs.
“I’d like to see you do better.”
“Okay then,” he responds, accepting her challenge as he deepens his voice and mimics the man they speak of. “‘You too were supposed to be there, it was crucial-’”
“Enough!” My dad announces before their games can continue. Their ears drop as they look to my father, an almost fearful expression on each of their faces. Their scared expression dissolves when they turn and see it was just my dad. As if they expected the yell to have come from someone else. “This is not a game, it is not funny to joke about this. Quaritch is dead.”
The girl shakes her head, “The old white man you called ‘Quaritch’ may be dead, but his consciousness is most definitely alive and thriving.”
“They gave him an Avatar?” my dad asks in disbelief.
Noah nods, “Yep, he’s now a tall blue man with lots of guns and a bunch of other Avatars beneath him.”
“And all of them seek the destruction of you and everyone you love,” the girl finishes. Her eyes flickering over to Lo’ak and I, “Which seems to now include more than just Neytiri.” My dad’s jaw clenches yet his ears lower against his face. The twins have just brought all of my dads possible fears to life without even realizing it. Y/n notices this look, “But if you let us stay here a lot of this can be prevented. Recreating our DNA will be difficult if Noah and I aren’t there. And we swear to give you everything we know for the greater good of your clan. We just need you to promise that you’ll protect us in return.”
Her last sentence is one pack with longing. As if out of all the words she had spoken, those twelve words were the only ones that truly mattered to her.
My dad lets out a heavy sigh, “I can’t just let you in to the clan-”
The twins' ears drop and their mouths fall into deep frowns.
“-without speaking to Neytiri and Mo’at. It will take a lot of convincing, but if they say yes then I will allow it.”
They react twice as fast to those words, ears peeking up words and big smiles forming that allow their pointed canines to be revealed, “Really?!”
“Yes, it’s not a promise that they will say yes, but you can stay here even if they say no.”
Swinging tails show their excitement. “Thank you so much, sir,” the boy says.
My dad can’t fight his smile as he nods to the two before excusing us. They wave goodbye as we exit the lab, removing our masks and leaving the building. The second we are back outside, my fathers smile drops and he sighs.
“What’s wrong, dad?” Lo’ak asks.
“Nothing,” he responds, “It’s just..”
“You aren’t going to ask, mom?” I question, my stomach sinking at the idea of my father giving the twins false hope. “No, no. I will ask, I just.. I just fear they will say no.”

When Sky was born, it is said that the sky was so clear, that no clouds could be seen, the sun shone so bright, the animals, sang melodies just for her, and that Eywa had blessed her to reflect her purity.
All her skin and hair were white, her eyes were as blue as the sky itself, there was no blue spot on her, no four fingers like the other na'vis, instead there were 5 like her father.
Her voice was soft and beautiful, when she walked or danced her movements were soft and sweet as if she was waltzing, but when she fought or hunted she was fierce, nothing and no one escaped her.
She was the spitting image of her mother, her father jokes that the only thing she resembled was her hand and her stubborn attitude.
She was the eldest of her 4 siblings, Netayam, born a year after her, being the eldest, the responsibilities, and jobs were harder.
Her parents expected her to be the best Tsahik, as Eywa had blessed her, she loves Eywa, but she does not want to be the spiritual guide of the clan, she wants to fight for her people as ancient warriors like her father, the sixth Toruk Makto, Olo'eyktan of her clan did.
Since the demons came from the sky her mother did not stop training her, she could not leave her daughter unprotected, when she could not teach her anymore, the other warriors took charge of teaching her.
After she learned everything about hunting and survival, she went to the scientists, she learned mathematics, science, zoology, botany, engineering, medicine, she learned 4 human languages.
Nothing could satisfy his curiosity, his intelligence was superior to that of the scientists in Pandora.
When Miles Quaritch, returned as an avatar and almost kidnapped his brothers, his father decided that it would be best to stop being Toruk Makto and leave the clan with his family, to protect both, he never questioned his father's decisions, he accepted everything he was told.
It pained him to leave his home, they would look for Uturu in one of the clans of the sea, where they intended to disappear from the GDR, when he arrived he knew from the moment he stepped on the sand, that nothing would be the same, and he confirmed it just by looking at the son of the chief.

PAREJA: Neteyam x Reader
Capitulo 12:
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Capitulo 13
" LIBERTAD "
¿No prefieres descansar?
Neteyam volvió a reír debido a tu nerviosismo.
-----No te burles, Neteyam. ---- te quejaste.
----Bien, bien...
----¡Neteyam, voy a-!
----¡Neteyam! ---- volviste a regañar.

—————————————————————
He’s gone. You know that. You just can’t accept it. You even missed the funeral, you were already broken, you didn’t need to hurt anymore. But you have to see him one last time before you join him.
You swam down to the cove of the ancestors and stared at it for a couple seconds before closing your eyes and connecting to the cove.
I opened my eyes and saw Neteyam looking down at me with something in his hands, the necklace he made me when he asked me to be his mate. He started to speak and the sound of his voice made me want to cry.
“Y/n, are you alright? Why are you crying?” He spoke in a panicked voice and put a hand on my shoulder. I wiped my teary eyes and sighed.
“Noting Nete, what did you want to ask me” I questioned like I didn’t already know. He smiled and his tail started to move side to side slightly.
“Would you be my mate?” He asked in that sweet tone. When he had asked his voice made it sound like there was no pressure on my answer. But either way the answer was always going to be yes.
“Yes, yes i would love to be your mate” I smiled and pulled him into a hug so he wouldn’t see my tears fall.
That was always your favourite memory with Neteyam.
The next memory was the worst and you wanted to leave but you couldn’t.
Those 5 words that made my heart race sounded through my ears again.
“I’ve been shot you skawnge!” I made my way to him with Lo’ak and helped him swim to a rock. We laid him down and hovered around him.
“Neteyam, Neteyam. Try to control your breathing ok?” I tried to console him, maybe make the outcome different this time.
“Y/n?” He coughed up blood and look dead in my eyes with a pleading look as his ears layes flat to his head.
“Yeah? It’s me Nete, just hold on” I rambled and his father and mother came towards us.
“Dad? I want to go home” he pleaded and I grabbed his hand, everything went blurry and I couldn’t here what they was saying. Neteyam turned his head to me and I looked into his eyes as they lost their life and he fell still, his hand limp in mine. Neytiri screamed besides me and then it finally set in. He was gone all over again. I laid my head on his chest and screamed and cried. I felt Neytiri grab ahold of me and hugged me.
It all went black and my eyes opened again and I was in the ocean. But I didn’t swim up I just stared at the cove. And slowly felt last of my breath leave my lungs and I began to see black dots and the darkness engulfed me once again. But I didn’t feel pain or sadness. Just happiness and relief. I was going to see the love of my life again.
Your eyes slowly opened again and you thought that you would see Neteyam in front of you but instead saw Jake, his father and your eyes welled up.
“That is not what my son would have wanted” he spoke his voice wavering and tears in his eyes.
“I’m sorry” you said softly and closed your eyes again. Feeling the quilt take over you. Knowing what you would have to do.
——————————————————
The silly family held a memorial for Neteyam so that everyone could say their goodbyes. You went this time. Deciding to finally accept he was gone and wanting to say goodbye.
Everyone was crying and you listened to everyone’s last words to him.
Finally it was your turn and you went up and spoke the short a out of words you had to say.
“Neteyam, I will love you for the rest of my life. And you won’t be here for any of it, but that’s okay. Because eventually we will be reunited and I will make up for it.” You finished and stepped down and was engulfed in a sully family hug.

From afar {part 2}
Tumblr media
Neteyam x Fem!Human reader
Warnings: none (Fluff) kxanì'a = love
Tumblr media
The next morning
im woken up by the sound of a bang and someone groaning, i get out of bed, put on my slippers and walk out of my room, then i see the cause of the noise.
lo'ak had hit his head on the door coming in, "ARE YOU OKAY!" i shout from across the room.
"yeah im good" he says i see neteyam lower his head and enter behind him. We lock eyes and he waves, i wave back then go to brush my teeth.
I spit out the toothpaste and stand back up straight and suddenly spider is behind me. "HOLY SHIT SPIDER FUCK YOU, YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME" i yell
He starts laughing like a hyena "my bad g my bad" he says after catching his breath from laughing with a smile on his face. "anyways look what i made kiri. do you think she'll like it? he asks showing me the bracelet he made kiri. "yeah its actually really cute spider".
"CMON GUYS LETS GOOO" we hear kiri yell from the other room,
"wait were are we going" i ask spider, "oh right were going flying, im so exited lets goooo" he says the last part running out of the room.
I wipe my mouth and walk out after him, the first thing i see is neteyam leaning against the wall with his jaw clenched looking at me. 'i wonder whats wrong with him' i think. we all start to walk towards the door, spider infront of me and as we get closer to the the door neteyam walks infront of me separating me from spider.
As we were walking to their ikrans i ended up walking besides neteyam neither of us were saying anything till neteyam broke the silence "what were you and spider yelling and laughing about/" he asked "oh nothing" i said back to him.
I can see his jaw clench "are you and spider a thing or something?" "ewww no why would you even think that hes basically my brother!!"i say in shock .
"so you don't like him?" he asks "god no" i laugh. I look at him and see a little smile on his face 'god he's so cute' i think to myself. "guy's were here!!" i hear kiri yell from around 12 feet infront of us. Once we all get to the ikrans i see spider go with kiri to her ikran and i stand awkwardly between lo'ak and neteyam not know who im supposed to go with, i suddenly feel an arm wrap around my upper back "she's going with me" i hear neteyam tell lo'ak. I shudder under the touch of his arm and his voice.
"ok bro fine by me" lo'ak then mounts his ikran and i walk behind neteyam to his ikran. He helps me get onto his ikran and i almost slip a little "be careful" he says with a smile, i almost get lost in his eyes till i feel him pull me up the rest of the way. I skootch up behind him "ummm where do i put my feet?" i ask him while im moving my legs trying to find a place to put them, i feel his hand grab my legs and butterflies erupt in my stomach as he moves my legs to where they need to be then he pulls his hand away and i can still feel the heat lingering on my leg.
"Hold on tight" he tells me turning back to look at me. I snake my arms around his waist and i feel him shudder from the touch i lock my fingers together holding on tight. I wonder if i should put my head on his back or if that would be pushing limits. My stomach drops as i realize what's actually about to happen I've been so nervous because i was with Neteyam but i should have been nervous about the fact I'm about to be thousands of feet in the air on an ikran.
"don't be nervous sweetheart, I got you" Neteyam says as were about to take off. 'well shit thanks a lot now I'm more nervous' is what i think but "ok" is all that comes out. I feel the ikran start flying and i squeez my eyes closed and squeez Neteyam, I hear him let out a breathy laugh.
I swear this boy will be the death of me he's just so mesmerizing. "Relax kxanì'a, open your eyes" neteyam tells me. I slowly open my eyes to be met with the most beautiful thing I've ever seen (other than Neteyam) "omg" i let out as a gasp.
We fly a little longer till kiri says we should be getting back, after we land Neteyam hops off and reaches for my hand, i give him my hand and he helps me down
" thank you Neteyam it was a lot of fun" i tell him as we began walking to the others
" you're welcome y/n". says Neteyam
The other are all ready walking with each other back to the lab so me and neteyam are walking with each other behind them. I'm swinging my arms back and forth as were walking, paying attention to the sound of the twigs snapping under our feet.
"Did you have fun kxanì'a?" neteyam breaks the silence making my heart skip a beat.
"Yes, I had so much fun it was so beautiful!" I feel my self start to get less nervous and relax.
"Yes, it is very beautiful" I feel his eyes on me as he says it and I turn my head to be met with his eyes staring down at me.
we arrive at the lab and Neteyam goes to tell me goodnight.
"Well goodni-"
"Would you like to come in?" i interrupt him, god i dont know where that came from, why would i say that, omg what if he says no????
"I would love to come in thank you" he pulls me out of my train of thought.
I open the door and we began to walk in together.
"WOAHHHHHHH where are you two going huh?" lo'ak yells dramatically from down the stairs,
"were just gonna hang out probable watch a movie" I say to just get him to leave us alone.
We finally get them to leave us alone and we walk in together "we can go to my room" i lead him tot my room, i walk in and take a seat on my bed. Neteyam comes over and has a seat besides me, the weight of him sitting on my bed makes me involuntarily lean in towards him.
The whole thing is so awkward i don't know what to say or do.
"sooo what do you want to do" i say fiddling my fingers
"I donk know baby girl your the one that invited me in" he says in a low voice making me weak in the knee's.
I can feel his eyes all over me i feel so much more exposed without my mask, i feel the pads of his fingers on the side of my face as he turns me to look at him, i can practally feel my heart about to beat out of my chest.
Im suddenly aware of every small sound in the room my shallow breathing, the fan in the corner of the room, his breath escaping his parted lips as he keeps his eyes locked on me.
his hand is still on my face, i raise my hand and place it on top of his.
I want him no forget that I need him right now.

⭐️ Welcome! ⭐️
Welcome to my side gush blog for all things Avatar 2- namely, Neteyam and Lo'ak.
I'm planning on writing head canons and one shots for the Sully brothers. My content will be x human!reader, as I feel more confident writing from that perspective 💙
I won't be writing any NSFW material, but will be reblogging that kind of work from others.
Requests are open for any Neteyam/Lo'ak writing you wanna see!
I also write over at @musingmeaninglessly so feel free to follow me there, too.
I'm pretty new to this fandom, so I apologise if there are any canonical inaccuracies in my content. Hope you'll follow along with this hyper fixation of mine!
Masterlist coming soon!

Anomaly- About Y/n
Hi! This is just a quick little description of you in this story so you can better understand before reading.
Okay so you, and your twin Noah, are a perfect mix between humans and na’vi.
The idea of having them be mixed was from @byunpum who has a completely different story than this but it’s definitely worth reading.
What you look like:
You have the same ears, sharp canines, tails, and que as the na’vi. Your hair will be described as long and black like the na’vi woman. You also have the same marks as them except instead of blue you are your normal skin tone and your stripes are slightly smaller. You know the bioluminescent freckles that the na’vi have?? You have those too but they are the color of like human freckles but very few of them are bioluminescent.
Your human features are your face as a whole; human eyes, lips, brows, and nose. Your twin and you are taller than normal humans but shorter than the na’vi (you stand at Neteyam’s mid chest.) You are in good shape like the na’vi but your human genetics cause your thighs and butt to be a little bigger as well as your lower tummy, like a fupa :))
I don’t describe Noah that much so literally just imagine yourself but as a boy and slightly taller.
Details about Y/n:
Y/n loves jewelry and all of it you made yourself; you wear a couple of rings on each and you have like three four necklaces that rest below your comm thing but not too low on your chest.
Y/n has four piercings; one is your belly button, two hoops on the cartilage of your ear, and the last one is a secret that comes up later in the story ;)
Noah wears a couple bracelets that you made him.
I think that's all that really needs to be said as of now. I really hope you enjoy the story!
