Until It Doesn’t Hurt
Chapter 13: I Wanna Be With You
Summary:
20 years since the RDA was pushed off of the moon of Pandora, they are back once more. The RDA thinks their only problem is the traitor Jake Sully and his family, but as it turns out, Jake wasn’t the only ‘problem’ left behind 20 years ago.
Anthe was a child soldier, stolen from their home and forced to learn the ways of the humans, erasing any of their connections to the Na’vi from before. Finally free from the RDA’s hold after being trapped in cryosleep, they're about to make themselves everyone's problem.

_____________________________________________
The sky was a dull grey as Neteyam sat with his siblings and Metkayina friends on the beach, finally finished with their chores. Tsireya warned them from swimming out too far, the storm brewing on the horizon making the waters currents unpredictable. Tenak had left in the early hours of the morning, just as the first rays of light peaked from behind the evening's eclipse, promising to return with Anthe and Spider as soon as he found them. If he even could.
Neteyam did his best to stay upbeat, rough housing with Lo’ak and Ao’nung as if the previous day's events hadn’t shaken him. As if the photo of Anthe wasn’t burning a hole in his pouch pocket at his side. Kiri still watched him with poorly hidden concern, but for the most part, Neteyam was able to tamp down the lingering ache in his chest. It was getting well into the afternoon now, the fog previously lingering on the darkening horizon, now slowly crawling towards the village. A light mist was settling round the group, humid air sticking to Neteyam’s skin. It was only a matter of time before the rain started.
“{What’s that?}” Tuk asked, pointing out to the horizon. A dark shape was emerging from the fog in the distance. Neteyam stood, squinting as he tried to make out the shape quickly approaching the shoreline. As it got close he could see it was a purple Ikran, its rider crouched low in their saddle, obscured from view. It flew adjacent to them, the rider either not noticing, or avoiding the group below.
“{Who’s Ikran is that? Did Tenak come back already?}” Kiri looked between Neteyam and Lo’ak, as a sudden tension overcame the group, made worse by the heavy air.
“{No, his mount was yellow…}” Lo’ak murmured, coming to stand next to Neteyam as they watched the stranger land some yards down the beach.
“{More friends of yours, forest boy?}” Ao’nung joked, but the young man was visibly tense as he flanked Neteyam’s other side, hand poised on his knife defensively. Kiri and Tsireya pulled Tuk behind them, watching warily as the boys set a line of defense. This was exactly the sort of thing Neteyam’s father had been worried about when Tenak arrived, that their location would be compromised.
“{Who is it? I can’t see!}” Tuk whined, trying to peer around Kiri as the older girl held their sister back. Neteyam kept his eyes forward, hand on his blade as they watched the stranger dismount. A large back shape was strapped to their back, swinging as they hopped onto the sandy shore. The Ikran chirped, rustling anxiously as its rider seemed to sooth it, their back still to the group of young Na’vi. A twinge of something familiar tugged at Neteyam’s gut, but he ignored it, not wanting to risk being wrong.
“{Kiri, Tsireya, take Tuk home. Tell mom and dad what's happening.}” Neteyam ordered. His first priority needed to be protecting his family.
“{No! I want to stay!}” Tuk was arguing, though she still clung to Kiri’s legs for safety. “{Dad says we have to stick together!}”
“{Tuk-}”
“Holy shit.” Lo’ak’s sudden use of English cutting off whatever Neteyam was about to say, pulling his focus back to the stranger now approaching the group. “{Is that…?}”
A strange awestruck expression crossed Lo’ak’s face, his eyes glued to the figure in the distance. They were Na’vi as far as he could tell, dressed in a tight black top and bottoms not dissimilar to the Metkayina style, and hair tied back in one long and messy braid. Their stride was at first slow, cautious even, and then they were running, the weapon on their back discarded into the sand, tripping over their own feet in their effort. Ao’nung tensed beside Neteyam, the Metkayina man letting out a low warning growl, but Lo’ak rushed to block him.
“{Wait- Stop!}” Lo’ak was pushing Ao’nung back, but Neteyam was frozen, half convinced his grief-addled mind was just playing tricks on him.
“{Neteyam!}” A familiar voice, calling out to him.
Neteyam’s body was moving before he even fully registered what was happening, the world around him dropping away as he ran full sprint towards Anthe.
They crashed into each other with such force that it nearly knocked them both into the sand, Neteyam barely holding his balance as Anthe wrapped their arms around his neck, pressing their entire body into him as if he could disappear at any second. Neteyam clung right back pulling Anthe’s smaller frame as tightly to him as he could, burying his face in their neck, the scent of salty sea air and smoke clinging to their skin. He felt Anthe pull back, a pathetic sounding whine escaping his throat as they pulled his face from their shoulder, holding his cheeks as they looked at him. For a moment, Neteyam worried they would push him away again. But they didn’t, instead Anthe pressed their forehead to his, eyes screwed shut as they took deep grounding breaths, their fingers carding through his braids and holding his jaw.
“{You’re here.}” Neteyam breathed, his voice barely more than a whisper. His bright eyes taking in every inch of them that he could without pulling away. Anthe looked haggard, dark circles under their eyes and hair falling from their braid in windblown tangles. Their body trembled slightly in his arms, hands clinging to him for dear life and tail flicking anxiously behind them.
“{I’m sorry.}” Anthe’s voice cracked as they spoke, golden eyes welling with tears they struggled to blink away. Anthe’s thumbs caressed his cheeks, wiping away tears Neteyam hadn’t even realized had started to spill.
“{Wait, so… it is another friend?}” Ao’nung huffed, sounding vaguely annoyed as he rudely butted into the intimate moment.
“{Anthe is a little more than a friend.}” Lo’ak was grinning, the previous tension quickly fading. Neteyam scowled, shooting a half hearted glare over his shoulder at the pair. He felt Anthe shift, moving to see the rest of the group but making no move to leave the circle of his arms any time soon. Kiri and Tuk were quick to pile on with their own hugs and excited greetings.
“{Great Mother, are you okay?}” Kiri gasped, inspecting Anthe for injuries. “{You look terrible!}”
“{I’m okay. Just… tired.}” Anthe gave a half-hearted smile, the shake in their limbs starting to subside as they began to relax in Neteyam’s hold. They were clearly more than just tired, but clinging to the relief of being back with familiar faces and tentative safety. Neteyam nuzzled into their hair, ignoring his siblings giggling at him.
“{Hello.}” Tsireya smiled as she approached, dragging a reluctant Ao’nung with her. “{I am Tsireya, and this is my brother Ao’nung.}” Tsireya made the gesture for I See You, but Ao’nung crossed his arms, a sour expression on his face as he looked Anthe over. Neteyam glared at the Metkayina man, ears pinning back as he anticipated the mans penchant for nasty comments, but Tsireya beat him to it, elbowing her brother hard in the ribs, still smiling sweetly as ever. Ao’nung doubled over, yelping in pain and swatting his sister away before huffing a stiff ‘hello’ himself.
“{Hi.}” They watched the Reef siblings with interest, returning Tsireya’s gesture. Their tail still flicked anxiously behind them, giving away their nervous state. Neteyam let his own tail catch Anthe’s, twinning them together and stilling their movement.
“{Did Tenak send you? Where is Spider?}” Kiri asked, squeezing Anthe’s hand hopefully. Neteyam felt Anthe tense immediately, watching their face fall from relief to confusion.
“{What?}”
“{Your brother, Tenak. He was here, he said he was going to bring you and Spider back.}” Neteyam could see the realization cross both Kiri and Anthe’s faces at the same time. Tenak had not found Anthe. Spider was still gone.
“{Y-You saw Tenak?}” There was something raw and painful in Anthe’s voice, an old wound opening back up again. Neteyam squeezed them tighter to his chest as he felt them begin to tremble again.
“{He was here this morning!}” Tuk pipped, the tone of the current conversation going over her head entirely. Anthe looked dazed, their eyes darting back and forth between Kiri and Neteyam for answers.
“{He came out here looking for you. He’s been searching for you this whole time.}” Neteyam said, running his hands along Anthe’s back and hair to soothe them.
“{He’s alive?}” They looked almost bewildered, like the idea was to foreign to understand. Neteyam pulled their head to his chest, letting Anthe anchor themselves to him as they gripped onto his arm.
“{Him, your sister Kala too.}” Anthe seemed stunned, their grip on his arm tightening. Neteyam fished around in his pouch pocket, pulling out the photo Tenak had given him the night before. Gingerly, Anthe took it, a choked sob escaping them as they realized what it was.
“{You said he was here this morning?}” Anthe finally asked, once they had gathered themselves again. Kiri nodded. Neteyam watched Anthe process, quickly shaking their head as if to dispel unwanted thoughts.
“{Come on. Let’s take you home.}” Neteyam could tell it was too much happening all at once for Anthe. In one swift movement, he lifted Anthe into his arms, intent on holding onto them for as long as possible. They made no protests, save a small surprised yelp, but quickly settled, curling into his neck and shoulders as he walked them back down the beach towards the village.

“{The Ta’unui’s Tsakarem sent me here. She said this is where I might find help, I didn’t think she meant you all were actually here.}” Anthe explained. They were exhausted, the emotional whiplash of the day exacerbating the tired ache of their body. Neteyam held close to them, letting Anthe lean into his side as they sat with the Sully family in their new home. Jake Sully listened intently to their story, his expression growing dark as they went on. Anthe fidgetted under the patriarch's gaze, fiddling with a bracelet Spider had made for them out of small river stones and twine.
“{You’re sure no one followed you? No trackers?}” Jake questioned them.
“{I’m sure.}” Anthe had been so paranoid about being followed, they’d done multiple checks of all of their gear and even tossed their Ikran’s saddle and tack into the ocean just to be sure.
“{Do you know how they even figured out we were out here?}”
“{There was a helicopter signal that got picked up on radar. I didn’t hear too many details, but Quaritch was sure it would be you.}” Anthe watched Jake pull a frustrated hand down his face, swearing under his breath. He looked back at his wife, pacing back and forth, her tail thrashing wildly behind her in agitation.
“{Stay here.}” Jake ordered the group, pulling himself and his partner outside and out of earshot. Anthe swallowed, feeling guilty for having brought only bad news with them. Everything in them was screaming that they shouldn’t have come, that everything was their fault, but then they felt Neteyam nuzzling into their side, whispering comfort in their ear, and were reminded how that sort of thinking was exactly what got them into this mess in the first place. Anthe sighed, pulling Neteyam’s arms more closely around them. Neteyam let them, practically hauling them into his lap to bring Anthe closer to him.
“{What about Spider?}” Kiri pressed, brows knit in concern.
“{He’s okay. I would have brought him with me, but there's still a tracker in his breathing mask. He didn’t want to take the risk.}” Anthe took her hand, squeezing it lightly.
“{Do you think they’ll hurt him?}” Lo’ak said it quietly, more to himself than anyone else, eyes avoiding anyone else’s gaze. He sat further away, knees tucked to his chest. It wasn’t hard to guess what he might be feeling, his brows knit in the same sort of guilty expression Anthe usually wore. Spider had told Anthe about how Lo’ak was usually the one who got into or started trouble for the Sully siblings, Anthe had even seen it for themselves. It wasn’t surprising that the younger man might feel responsible for Spider being taken in the first place.
“{Quaritch will be pissed but he’s…}” Anthe tried to answer, struggling to find the right words to describe the estranged father and son’s relationship. “{... attached to Spider, I don’t think he would hurt him. Spider might lose a little bit of the freedom he had, but if anything, this has just put me on that psychopaths shit list.}”
“{Spider had freedom? With the RDA?}” Lo’ak scoffed.
“{You’d be surprised.}” Anthe couldn’t help but smile a bit at that. “{After a while, Quaritch let Spider, do pretty much whatever he wanted. The only thing holding us back were the trackers. We would have gotten out ages ago, otherwise.}” There was an unintentionally bitter edge to Anthe’s voice.
“{You’re here now, that’s what matters.}” Neteyam said, softly brushing the hair from their face.
“{Neteyam’s right. Spider will come back to us.}” Kiri huffed, sounding more like she was trying to convince herself than anyone else.“{For now, let’s try to clean you up.}”
“{I’m fine-}”
“{You’re a mess. Neteyam, do you still have the clothes I made them?}” Neteyam nodded. He reached back towards his bag, dragging Anthe with him as they refused to let him go, and pulling out a bundle of cloth.
“{You made me clothes?}” All Anthe had ever worn were RDA issue uniforms, or the clothes leant to them by Avatar scientists. Neteyam and his siblings had tried convincing them to wear more Na’vi garb, but Anthe had always felt too guilty and self conscious for the more revealing attire.
“{It’s probably not ideal for the water, but it’s better than what you have on now.}” Kiri joked, tugging at the black nylon material of Anthe’s clothing. “{More comfortable too. Neteyam, go help them clean up and change.}” The younger woman pushed the pair towards another more private room of the marui, a sly smile not so subtly gracing her features.
Neteyam was smiling and rolling his eyes playfully as he pulled Anthe with him, closing a privacy curtain behind them. His hands only left them for a second, quickly returning to hold Anthe back in the circle of his arms, pulling Anthe’s back to his chest and resting his chin on their shoulder. From the moment they’d returned, Neteyam was holding or touching them in some way, even in front of the rest of his family. Before, such a level of affection had only been brief and in private, but Anthe found they didn’t mind the change, enjoying the feeling of closeness with another person.
Anthe took the bundle gently from Neteyam, unwrapping it carefully to reveal the soft green and blue woven garments, and something else. A shining black blade, with a hand-woven and beaded handle and sheath lay tucked between the garments. Anthe felt Neteyam squeeze them lightly as they raised the blade, examining it closely.
“{I wanted to give it to you before but it wasn’t done when you left…}” Neteyam mumbled into Anthe’s hair.
“{This is for me?}” Anthe blinked up at him, unbelieving at first that something like this could be for them. Neteyam nodded, his cheeks tinged purple as he nuzzled them with his nose. The blades Na’vi carried with them were their lifeline, a means for survival and connection. Anthe just barely remembered having one as a child, before everything, that they had made with help from family that they could no longer recall. Now, Neteyam had made one for them, carved and assembled with such care and love that Anthe felt like they were short circuiting, suddenly too warm and soft to hold themselves together.
“{Do you like it?}” Neteyam spoke softly, watching Anthe admire his handy work. Anthe nodded, pressing the gift close to their chest as they turned in his arms, pressing their face into the crook of his neck. Neteyam gave off a warmth that Anthe had desperately missed. It was different from anything they had felt with another person, the soft and comforting promise of safety and understanding. The only other connections they could compare it to was Tenak and Spider, and even those were still completely different. Tenak and Spider were their brother’s in arms, friendships born from the comfort of another person in the face of danger. But their closeness with Neteyam was not born out of mutual struggle and pain. It had come from a place of healing and understanding, built on a trust Anthe had never really encountered before.
“{Come on, let’s get you changed.}”
Anthe reluctantly separated from Neteyam, though his hands still held them, bringing them to a mat on the floor. He set about collecting a few clean cloths and freshwater, as Anthe began to undress. Previously, Anthe might have felt more self-conscious about their nakedness in front of another person, being raised by humans instilling a shame in their body that was hard to shake. A part of them still felt bashful, instinctively covering themselves with their arms as Neteyam gently began to wash away the dirt and sweat from their body, but they didn’t feel uncomfortable by any means. They let Neteyam take down their hair and help dress them in the clothes made by Kiri, a comfortable silence encompassing them. When they were finished, Anthe leaned back into Neteyam, who sat closely behind them. Neteyam ran his fingers through their dark hair, carefully pulling apart the tangles.
“{I’m sorry.}” Anthe said finally, breaking the quiet. They felt Neteyams hands pause, then wrap around their middle and pull them close, his nose pressing lightly into their jaw.
“{You were right.}” Anthe continued. “{I should have stayed, I should have listened to you.}”
“{Stop, please.}” Neteyam sounded hoarse, squeezing Anthe tighter to him. “{You’re here, you’re safe. That's what matters.}” Anthe turned themselves to look at him, hand cupping his jaw to make him look at them. Neteyams brows were furrowed with worry, his hold around them tight and desperate. He thought they were going to leave again.
“{I want to stay here. I want to stay with you.}” Anthe pressed their forehead back to his, trying to will away his anxieties. “{I See You.}”  Neteyam took a deep breath, seeming to relax a bit with Anthe’s admission.
“{I See You.}” Neteyam repeated, a small smile replacing the worry. His eyes lingered a moment on their lips before flicking back up to their eyes. The movement was small, but caught Anthe’s attention enough for Anthe to register just how close their lips were to Neteyam’s. Their cheeks flushed, suddenly shy as their own eyes landed on the curve of Neteyams mouth. One of his hands ran softly up their back, holding the back of Anthe’s head, gently pulling them closer and closing the gap between them.
Neteyam’s lips were soft, molding to Anthe’s mouth like two puzzle pieces fitted perfectly together. They pressed into him, chasing his lips in a desperate kiss they were loath to break. When they did finally break the kiss, both were panting, trying to catch their breath again. Neteyam grinned, pressing back in, peppering small kisses around Anthe’s face and making them laugh. It was pure relief. All the unsaid feelings and emotions, finally out in the open, and neither of them could get enough.

To The Moon and Back
Platonic!Sully Kids x Human!Female!Reader
Summary: What if the Sully kids were captured instead of Spider? (A long drabble/short prompt?)
ZERO: THE ADDITION
"No!" Neteyam pounded against the glass, gritting his teeth. "Let us out!" When no one answered he growled, throwing himself against the wall. Expectedly, it didn't budge.
"Neteyam, stop it," Kiri wrapped a slender hand around his forearm, pulling him to face her. "You're scaring Tuk."
His eyes softened as they landed on his youngest sister, murmuring out a gentle 'sorry', before they hardened again as they landed on Lo'ak. His younger brother was silent as he sat curled in on himself, staring blankly at the wall with his head in his hands. Kiri couldn't stop him this time as he charged towards him, yanking him up forcefully by his necklace to sneer in his face. Lo'ak's eyes widened in shock.
"None of this would have happened if you had just used your fucking head!" He shouted, pupils dilated with aggression. "Are you happy now? We're all trapped here because of you!"
"Get off of me!" Lo'ak snarled, shoving harshly at his shoulders.
"Stop it!" Kiri cried, trying to step between them and coax them apart, but Neteyam refused to relinquish his hold or his glare.
"Cut it out," a foreign voice rang out in the white room, making them all pause. To their collective shock, the wall on the right lightened until it was completely transparent. The siblings warily huddled closer together as they saw two humans, a man and a woman, facing them on the other side of the window-like wall. Tuk wrapped her arms anxiously around Neteyam's waist.
The man clucked his tongue in annoyance, turning towards the woman. "See? This is why they should have been put in separate holding cells."
Neteyam felt Kiri's grip tighten on his bicep at their words.
"Would've been a waste of space," the woman huffed, quickly typing something on her laptop keyboard, before shutting it and giving them her full attention. Her stare was intense and very much unnerving.
"Where are we?" Surprisingly that had come from Lo'ak. His spine was rigid in an attempt at channeling their father's intimidating demeanor.
The man smirked, striding up closer to the glass barrier. "Far from home, kid. That's for sure."
"You can't keep us here," Kiri hissed, but Neteyam could feel her hands trembling against him. "Our clan will come for us and kill you all."
"That's what we're banking on," he chuckled, shoving his hands in his pockets as he whistled lowly. "We really lucked out with these ones, didn't we doc?"
Neteyam cursed under his breath. They were planning to use them as bait to lure his parents here. He needed to find a way to get in contact with them, but all of their communication devices had been taken away when they were thrown in here. Fuck.
"Don't entertain them," she snipped, giving him an unimpressed stare. "We're not here to play games. I actually have a job to do, if you haven't noticed."
"Trying to get rid of me already?" He put a hand over his chest, a mock wounded look downturning his lips.
"Yes," she replied bluntly.
"Come on," he jeered, waving his arm at them like they were some sort of freak show. "Don't tell me you want to be alone with the savages?"
Neteyam and Lo'ak bristled at the insult, baring their teeth. Tuk whimpered behind Neteyam's leg.
The woman glanced at them, wrinkling her nose in disgust as if she was instead looking at a giant, steaming pile of ikran dung. "Of course I don't, but I also don't want to be homeless," she gave him a pointed look, jutting her chin towards the exit. "Now, if you'll excuse me I have some work to do. Alone."
The man raised his hands in surrender. "Fine, fine," he chuckled, striding leisurely towards the door. He was almost there when he paused, turning around with a raised brow. "Coffee later?"
"Get out," she said flatly.
The door opened and closed, leaving the room blanketed in a tense silence. It was also then that she started behaving weirdly.
She began frantically shuffling through the objects on her desk, lifting papers and shifting around devices. After a few minutes of this, she seemed to come across what she was looking for: a small, round dark object about the size of her pinky nail—which she promptly threw on the ground and crushed under the heel of her boot. It made a small crunching sound as it succumbed to the pressure.
"Fucking Madden," she hissed under her breath.
After kicking away the debris, she lifted her gaze, staring at them contemplatively. She slowly approached the glass barrier, her features becoming more distinguishable the closer she got. The siblings tensed, not able to tell what she was going to do next.
"Believe it or not, I'm not here to hurt you," she said finally, her stare heavy and unwavering. "In fact, I'd say I'm your best ticket out of here."
Neteyam narrowed his eyes. He knew how the sky people were, heard stories of their greed and destructive nature and even witnessed it firsthand. She couldn't be doing this out of her own good will. Why would she risk her livelihood and possibly her life for them? "What do you want?" He growled. She had to be after something.
"Your names," she said simply.
"What?" They all reeled back in disbelief.
"Well, more specifically, I'd like to get to know more about you," she elaborated, the harsh look in her eyes softening into something that looked suspiciously like curiosity.
"Why are you doing this?" Kiri's voice wavered from beside Neteyam, staring warily down at the small woman. Well, small to them, at least.
For the first time, a genuine smile crossed the woman's face, taking them all by surprise. "Didn't your father ever tell you," she said, something unreadable twinkling in her eyes. "That Sullys stick together?"

I Know What You Need/Craving You
Aged!up!Neteyam Sully x female!navi! Nemiri!oc
Neteyam is 20 and Nemiri is 19
This was requested from anonymous
Warnings: cock-warming kink, daddy kink?, stomach bulge, some swearing, biting, praising, NSFW, a slow build up to the moment, p in v - don't know if that should be a warning lol, Smut Smut SMUT
Summary: After a long, annoyingly and tiring day of work, There's only one thing that can make Neteyam feel better.
skxawng - moron/idiot
'itan (n) - son
yawne (n) - beloved
a/n: A few notes. 1. The Yovo fruit is the purple fruit Grace hands Jake when he takes a test run in his avatar body 2. I also didn't know if I should put it as Neteyam x y/n (reader) or Neteyam and Nemiri so I went with the second option to introduce Nemiri! Enjoy :)
Neteyam huffs in annoyance as he lands his ikran then hops off, petting his banshee's neck. He loves his role as a warrior and hunter. But sometimes it gets tiring and frankly, some of the warriors were skxawngs. He adjusts his bow that rested on his back before giving his ikran one last pet.
"Neteyam my 'itan, What is it?" Neytiri asks as she walks over to her eldest son, engulfing him in a hug. Neteyam immediately wraps his arms around his mother, feeling some of the annoyance melt away. "Nothing mother, just tired after a long day" Neteyam tells her before releasing them from the hug.
Neytiri gives him a warm motherly smile before looking to see Jake walking up to them. "Hi dad" Neteyam says and Jake smiles before grabbing his head and pulling him into his chest. "How was today 'son?" Jake asks as Neteyam looks at his father.
"It was fine. I'm tired so I'm going to go to Nemiri and get some rest. Good night mum and dad" Neteyam tells them before making his way to his hut, anxious to see and feel his mate. While walking back to his hut, Neteyam lets his thoughts wander about Nemiri.
Neteyam looks down at his mate under him, admiring how her golden eyes were glossed over from the overwhelming pleasure both were feeling.
Nemiri runs her hand through her poofy curly hair, taking the last feather out of her hair when she looks up and sees Neteyam enter the hut, He closes the entrance flap of the hut then looks over a Nemiri, feeling himself get hot and aroused just from the sight of her.
He needed to be inside her. Now.
"Ma 'Teyam" Nemiri murmurs as she gets up from their hammock to greet him with a kiss. He places his hands on her hips and gives them a hard squeeze, earning a small gasp from her. He slips his tongue inside her mouth tasting the sweet flavor of a Yovo fruit. He breaks the kiss, letting out a breath as he rests his forehead against Nemiri's.
"I need you ma yawne. I need to feel you" He whispers as his tail swishes from side to side. Her eyes widened before she blushed a little as she knew exactly what he needed. "Let me help you" She coos as she grabs his hands and walks over to their hammock.
Neteyam picks Nemiri up and lays her gently on their bed then gets on top of her, untying her loincloth in the process. "Neteyam" She whines as she unties his loincloth and throws it onto the floor next to hers. "Fuck baby" He moans softly as she pumps him in her hand, rubbing the tip with her thumb.
He traces his fingers over her thighs and tummy, ghosting them over her wet core, watching how her tummy tightens instinctively just from the simple touch of his fingers. "I need to be inside you now before I lose my damn mind" He growls as he thrusts himself inside her, bottoming out.
"You feel so good Nete" She whimpers as she tries to grab his braid. "You want to tsaheylu Miri?" He asks as he moves his braid over his shoulder. "Yes. I want to feel you fully" She mumbles grabbing her braid from under her. They lift the ends of their braids in between them, watching the queues connect as it gave both a wave of overwhelming pleasure.
"Oh Neteyam" She moans, immediately closing her eyes from the pleasure coursing through her veins. He looks down and sees an outline of a bulge on her stomach, causing his eyes to roll. He loves the sight of his dick bulging against her stomach, it did something to him.
"Look at me princess. There you go that's it, such a good girl for me" Neteyam praises as he grabs her chin so she can look at him as he teasingly moves his hips, Nemiri instantly arching her back while she feels herself squeeze around him.
He leans down and bites her shoulder, earning a whimper from her. "You take my dick so well, keeping me nice and warm baby girl" Neteyam groans as he balances himself on his forearms. He kisses where he bit her before leaving a trail of love bites and kisses in his wake.
"You fill me up so well daddy" Nemiri murmurs as she looks up at him. "You're just what daddy needs after a long day baby girl. You keep me so warm I never want to leave this pussy" He praises as he lowers himself onto her a little more.
"Here princess, let daddy adjust us" He tells her as he moves onto his side, pulling her closer to him. She wraps her leg around him then closes the space between them, kissing him deeply. "I love keeping you warm, being your little incubator" She mumbles in the kiss as she teasingly moves her hips back and forth.
Neteyam hisses lowly as he breaks the kiss and bites on her neck, earning a pleasurable hiss from her. "No moving remember? You're supposed to keep me all nice and warm princess" Neteyam warns as he grabs her hips and holds her in place.
"That means you be a good girl for daddy and not move" He finishes saying as she lets out a whimper. "I want to move daddy. I can be a good girl and keep you warm just let me feel you" Nemiri whines and Neteyam tsks at her. "Next time baby. Right now I just want to be inside you and feel you. Can you do that for daddy?" He explains and she reluctantly nods.
"That's a good girl"

a little preview into my oc’s, Aiko and Kalin.
Aiko is a 19 year old Metkayina. She participates both as a hunter and a healer, although she is in training to become a professional healer she has picked some skills as a warrior as well. Aiko is sweet but a hint of aggressiveness lingers in her personality.
Kalin is an 18 year old Omatikaya. She participates both as a warrior and an artesian. Kalin has witnessed the damage that the sky people have caused on her land and is determined to become a skilled warrior to fight against them. Many times she is overlooked as people think she is too shy to be a warrior. Kalin is introverted and timid, she is seen with no one else other than Kiri, her best friend.
These are mainly the oc’s that I will be using for illustrated fan-fictions, I guess they can count as self-inserts lol. Let me know what you think!

Note From Author: this is a small snippet from a story that I am writing on Wattpad, decided to share it with y'all! {Semi Proofread and also created at 1 am… oops 🙊.}
Summary: Elä was hanging out with Kiri when she started feeling sharp pains in her abdomen, little did she know it was the beginning of labor. So kiri helped Elä into the birthing pods and helped aid her for the first three-ish hours until she finally called for Neteyam. The sully family and Elä’s grandmother Mousai had awaited outside of the pods to give the couple privacy during the delivery. Adaku is Elä’s adopted son and Neteyam helped her raise him
Na’vi to English Translations: Tsmuke - sister, Mawey - calm, Olo’eykte - female role of clan chief

Elä felt normal. A little uncomfortable at the kicking of her baby and random pains, but mostly normal. One moment, she was laughing and goofing around with Kiri. Then the next moment, she felt a sharp jab in her stomach.
The sharp jabs of pain was overwhelming to Elä. "Ow, fuck." She said, before looking back to Kiri, who had been just as surprised.
"Kiri, take me to the birthing pods! Do not inform anyone..." Elä screamed when she felt another wave of pain. Kiri nodded her head and rushed to help Elä up so that they could go to the secluded pods.
As the two walked, Elä placed a hand on her stomach as she held in groans of pain. Kiri avoided the crowds of people by taking a short cut that was by the springs, "does it hurt?" Kiri asked as she looked to her best friend.
"Yes very much so" Elä gritted her teeth and whimpered, "shit!" Elä stopped suddenly and tried to push but Kiri ushered her to keep walking. "We're almost there, I'll help you set up okay?" Kiri said and Elä nodded silently as she was breathing heavy.
Soon enough, they arrived at the birthing pods and Kiri helped Elä inside one of them. In the pod, there was a spring like pond, a bed mat, herbs for the labor, bowls, towels, a mat inside of a basket to place the baby, food, water, supplements for the mom and baby. And an extra area for visitors, plus the pod was decorated with furs, flowers, faunas, also it was dimly lit for the mother to feel relaxed.
Kiri helped Elä prepare everything while Elä was rocking back and forth as she was sitting down.
"All done! What else do you need me to do?" Kiri asked as she worried for the young Olo'eykte, "there's a leather band that is in the basket of other necessities- gahhh!! Uhm.. get it and tie it to the hook and then wrap it around my upper arm" Elä said as she was slightly panting through the pain.
So Kiri grabbed the leather band and tied one end to the hook in the ceiling and then wrapped it around Elä's arm, Elä gripped tightly onto it as she adjusted her position.
Elä was squatting now and Kiri was dabbing at the sweat that beaded itself across her forehead. Elä glanced around and took note that it had been about a couple of  minutes since her last contraction. She let out a whimper as the pain wrapped itself from her lower stomach to her hips.
Her body began to move by itself, her hips were swaying. "I don't want to do this, I can't do this" she felt tears start to build in her eyes.
This wasn't how she wanted to have her first baby, she wanted to be held by her partner. She wanted to have whispers of encouragement in her ears, her tears wiped. But yet she kept forbidding Kiri from getting any help.
The pain finally finished, "I-I don't know what to do Kiri" she spoke with so much fear lacing her words, Kiri soothed her as best as she could. Elä just needed the contractions to become more frequent and then maybe she will allow Kiri to get help.
Elä rested her head on her forearm, her cheek pressed to her skin. "Th-this hur-hurts" she stuttered out, it was all pressure and it was uncomfortable pressure that was just adding to the pain.
"After this contraction, I'll check you and we can get you some pain relief I promise" Kiri said pushing her hips in more. She didn't know whether she was on back labor or not so Kiri just applied counter pressure to her hips.
"It's finished" she heard Elä whisper into her arm, "Do you want to lie down so I can check you or do you want to remain squatting while I check you?"
"Squat please" Kiri just nodded, "I'm gonna move your skirt now okay?" Kiri had learned over the past twenty weeks of Elä's pregnancy, that Elä didn't like to be touched.
Elä just nodded weakly, she knew that Kiri was going to have to check her. "Alright Elä, I'm just going to check now" Kiri said, she pulled Elä's skirt up just enough to do her checks. "It's going to be uncomfortable but I'll be quick okay?" Elä felt immediate discomfort as Kiri inserted her fingers into her cervix, she tensed. "Elä take a breath for me, the more you tense the more difficult it's going to be to check your dilation" Elä took a staggered breath, "Good" Kiri whispered as she felt Elä relax against her fingers. Kiri did her check as quick as possible, much to Elä's relief.
"Elä you are only about two centimeters dilated" Kiri said as she looked at Elä, "damnit" Elä huffed out as she realized this was going to be a long and very exhausting labor.
"where do you want to go?" she asked Elä who was still squatting. "Can I get in the water? Or is it too soon?"
"Elä, this is your labor. You can do or go anywhere you want, if you want to go into the water and stay there for six hours then you can do that. Just listen to your body"
"I want to wait for a bit, I'll stay squatting then I'll go to the water" Kiri nodded her head, but hesitated "you must call for my brother so he can help aid you in the labor" Kiri spoke truthfully.
Elä knew. It was very common when the male would attach his queue to his mates to help aid her in labor. But Elä refused, "no.. I need to do this myself-" Kiri rolled her eyes at her best friend, "stop being stubborn and just call him when it becomes too much. There's only so much I can do" Kiri said as she rubbed Elä's back to help ease the pain, Elä groaned in acceptance as she stayed squatted and swayed lightly.
3 Hours Later
Another powerful contraction gripped her and Elä pushed, bearing down with what little strength she felt she still had. She could feel her baby sitting low in her body, ready to be born, but she had been straining for hours now without success.
Elä was panting with sweat and tears coating her skin. Kiri was helping with dabbing away the sweat, giving her sips of water, and rubbing at her back and hips to help ease the pain. Kiri was also helping with checking Elä's dilation progress.
"Elä you're now four centimeters, do you want to go into the water now and call my brother?" Kiri asked, Elä was breathing heavily as she felt exhausted. "Yes and yes Kiri please" she whimpered out as she felt completely useless and kept focusing on her breathing.
"I'm going to leave you here while I go and prepare the water. If you want you can come with me or stay here?" Kiri said as she stood up from the squatting position she was in behind Elä.
Elä held up her hands, Kiri linked her hands with Elä's and pulled her from the squatting position to stand up straight. "I'll call my brother with the comm device. But first let's get you settled" Kiri said as she untied the leather belt from the hook and helped Elä to the pond and helped her undress her lower half.
"If I ask for any pain herbs, you need to tell me no because I want this birth to be natural and in the water" Elä mumbled as Kiri tied the leather belt to another hook and then tied up Elä's hair, "okay okay."
It had been an hour since Elä had got into the water, she was completely bare from the waist down. "unggghhhh there's so much pressure, make it stop" she moaned out, she had her arms around Kiri's neck as she swayed in the water. "That might be your water, it's trying to break" Kiri pointed out as she tried soothing Elä. But the girl was in too much discomfort and pain to even try to relax.
"Make the water break please" she begged as the pressure was at an all time high. "Deep breaths Elä, give little pushes, it should help break your water" Elä bared down ever so slightly but it just made the pain worse. "Fuck, fuck, fuck" she swore as the pain was so much worse. "I said little pushes Elä"
She tried one more time, and finally she felt relief, "oh thank god, that's so much better" Kiri just ran her hands down Elä's back. "I guess your water has just broken" Elä just nodded against Kiri's shoulder, "That means there's nothing against you and your child. Do you want me to check your dilation again?" Elä nodded once again.
Kiri had learned that Elä was only ever vocal during the contraction, any other time she was just silent. "Six centimeters, you are doing really well Elä. Another centimeter then you can push but I'm going to call in Neteyam" Kiri alerted as she held down the button on the comm device, "Neteyam? Hello!" Kiri spoke into the device.
"Kiri? Is everything okay? What's the matter?" Neteyam's voice spoke through, "I'm fine big brother but listen to me very carefully. Elä is in labor and we're at the birthing pods, she is six centimeters dilated. Come now! Hurry!! She needs you" Kiri said in urgency and it was silent.
"He will come, don't worry" Kiri reassured Elä.
So far Elä's birthing experience had been good, it was calm. The room was dimly lit, the water was warm and felt amazing on her hips. Kiri had been calm and quiet. It was perfect for her, it helped with the pain all together. The atmosphere was amazing and she would love to do it again in the future if it was going to be like this again.
Elä immediately pulled away from Kiri and began to squat in the water, she wrapped the leather belt around her upper arm, she felt the need to be on her own. "Don't touch please" she whispered as her head fell forward.
Kiri nodded as she heard commotion outside, "I'll be back" standing up, Kiri walked out of the pod and saw Neteyam running with their family and Elä's family behind him.
Kiri ran halfway to meet them.
They all came to a stop and Neteyam was panting softly, worry written all over his face, "is she okay? Which pod is she in?" Neteyam asked frantically. Kiri tried soothing her brother, "mawey brother. She is in that pod straight ahead, go to her now" Kiri said as Neteyam nodded slightly and ran straight to the pod.
Kiri informed her family and Elä's family about the situation and she wanted everyone to wait outside until further notice or just in case Elä needed any help. Hence why Mousai was there ready in case of any problems.
Neteyam finally made it to the pod and entered the quiet pod, except for the soft whimpers that made his ears perk up. "My love?" He called gently as he made his way to the pond, he came face to face with his mate squatting in the water, completely bare from the waist down.
He could see the sweat drenched on her skin, she was using the leather belt as support that hung from the ceiling. "Neteyam" she weakly called out to him, Neteyam kneeled down at the edge of the pond and Elä reached out to him with her hand that wasn't holding onto the belt.
"I'm here my love" he soothed her as he took her hand and immediately planted a kiss to her knuckles, "I'm so scared Neteyam... it hurts" she whimpered as tears were steaming down her face. "Shhh my love, it's gonna be okay" he said softly as he grabbed ahold of her other hand and loosened it from the belt so that she could hold onto him.
Elä felt the crushing pain of another contraction and immediately snapped wide awake as her grip on Neteyam's hands were tightened. "Ahhhhh!!!" She screamed and Neteyam pushed the throbbing pain in his hands away as he soothed his mate.
"You're doing so good my love, when you're ready, I'll help aid you" he reassured, Elä nodded feeling absolutely exhausted. She rested her head down as she remained squatting.
Elä felt another contraction hit, it was worse than the rest. She let go of Neteyam's hand and moved one of her hands to her opening and applied pressure, "the baby is crowning... ahhhhhhh"
"Mawey my love, I'm right here. You're doing great" Neteyam cooed at her as he placed a kiss on her head, "it's okay. remain calm love, our child is going to be here very soon" he whispered as Elä moaned through the contraction.
"I can do this, I can do this" she chanted as the contraction carried on. The contractions had gotten closer, and more painful as the labor went on. She just knew that she was going to meet their child soon and that was making it easier.
This contraction seemed like it lasted forever, it felt never ending. Suddenly all Elä felt was pressure, she knew what this meant and she couldn't help but bare down. She tucked her head to her chest and grunted as she bared down. It was actually a relief to push, it gave her body purpose. "I'm pushing!"
"Keep pushing! Come on baby, but only push when you feel a contraction" Neteyam said from outside of the pond. Neteyam was in awe of his mate, to him, Elä was doing amazing for her first labor. He had only ever seen this much relaxing atmosphere with his mom when she gave birth to Tuk.
Elä pushed until the contraction was finished, she felt her child move further down her birth canal. "Neteyam- I need you... please" she whimpered out as she sat up, Neteyam immediately got into the pond and leaned his back against the barrier of it and pulled Elä to his chest. Elä bended her legs as her back rested against Neteyam's chest.
"Take some breaths, this is the time to relax until the next contraction" Neteyam instructed. "I need you-... I can't do this.." Elä cried as she felt the exhaustion weigh itself on her body.
Neteyam smiled at his mate and moved his braid in front of him and grabbed ahold of Elä's braid. He saw the tendrils dancing as he held his braid and Elä's. Soon enough he attached the two queues together and a rush of euphoria flowed through him but subsided as he felt Elä shift.
"Another one" Elä moaned out, she once again tucked her head to her chest and pushed. "You are such a good pusher, our child will be out in no time" it was true, through the bond, Neteyam could feel the baby shifting and within the next few pushes at this rate the baby would be born.
Neteyam then looked over his mates slouched position and kept his eyes trained to Elä's opening, she was doing really well.
"Can you see them yet" Elä said as she bared down as hard as possible. Neteyam looked between her legs and saw the smallest amount of pitch black hair between her legs.
"Yes I can, our child has pitch black hair" Neteyam encouraged, Elä smiled as much as possible as she pushed. She was so close. Elä's body relaxed as the contraction finished, "I need to rest" she said and Neteyam nodded as he laid her head back along with her tense body against him.
"Rely on me, I'm here" Neteyam said as he pushed the little hairs that was sticking to her forehead back and just kept whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
Elä prayed beneath her breath to Eywa. To give her strength, to watch over her child. This child is a symbol of their love.
After a few minutes of rest, she felt another contraction, she shrieks as she bared down. Neteyam noticed that his mate was shying away from the pain, "don't shy away from the pain, the pain is what will bring our child out" Elä just bared down harder, she wanted the baby out now. "It hurts so much!!!" she shrieked as child moved closer.
Neteyam felt the pain wash over him in waves through the bond, he sucked on his teeth with a slight hiss underneath his breath as he pushed his strength through the bond. He then saw the hair of his child become more visible. "The baby is so close, once their head is out then all that's left is their shoulders" Elä brought her hand down to her vagina and felt a thin layer of hair. "My baby" she whimpered as she stopped pushing, keeping her fingers on the baby's head.
Another contraction ripped through Elä, causing an inhumane sound that came out of her mouth is piercing and everyone outside of the pod heard it and flinched. Elä did not care, the pain of childbirth will turn even the most dignified woman into an animal. It is burning, it is agony.
"A little more my love" Neteyam spoke as he kept pushing his strength forward through the bond to help his mate, even through the bond, Neteyam was taking away bits and pieces of her pain to help.
Neteyam watched as the baby's head started to emerge from Elä's opening.
Soon enough Elä felt her opening pull back against the head, the entire top of the head moved outside of her, there is a terrible stinging sensation and yet there is some relief in giving into the urge to push. Elä kept pushing on the next pain and felt half the head being forced out. Neteyam tells Elä to try not to push on the next few pains, and to just pant through it but the urge is too strong so Elä pressed down a little. More of the head comes out as she screamed and grunt.
Neteyam had grabbed a cloth that was close and gently patted at her face and neck, trying to remove the layer of sweat coating her body. Elä's hair was matted and damp around her face.
The pains are now practically overlapping each other, and with strength born from the sheer frustration that Elä had managed to push the whole head out on the next one. Which leaves her body with a pop and she gasped.
Neteyam tried speaking to Elä but all of her senses are overtaken by the burning down below and the pressure of the shoulders pressing against her groin.
Elä's body is screaming at her to push, and she followed its orders but she couldn't manage to move the shoulders. Elä grunted, she could feel Neteyam trying his hardest to help her through the labor.
Over the next ten pains Elä tried to move the shoulders, having little success. Neteyam began to softly pray to Eywa. On the eleventh pain Elä decided to give herself a rest for a minute, but the pain of not pushing is almost as bad as the pain of being filled with the head of the infant. Elä gave up and pushed again at the next urge.
"Nnnnnuuuggggghhh! AHHH! NNNnuuuugghh!"
And one shoulder is pushed through, the burning feeling returning to its height minutes before as it was with the head. Over the next three pushes Elä gets the other shoulder out, and with one final heave and loud piercing cry the rest of the child is released from her.
Their child was released into the water along with a mixture of fluid. Elä immediately pulled the baby from the water and on to her chest. The baby gave a loud cry as it rested on her mothers chest. Neteyam smiled with tears in his eyes as he reached over to the outer part of the pond and grabbed the basket filled with stuff for the birth.
He immediately sprung to action and began to wipe the baby, the blood from its face and back.
Once the baby was clean, Neteyam nestled back behind Elä and she fell back against his chest, her eyes shut, her breathing heavy.
Neteyam had cut the cord binding it to Elä, tying it off with a soft thread. The baby continued to cry, loud and angry cries that were the most beautiful sound Elä has ever heard.
Holding the baby to her chest, Neteyam and Elä both studied the baby's little face. The baby opened its mouth wide as it wails, eyes squeezed shut. Neteyam noticed a faint mop of pitch black hair on top of the babys head.
Elä parted the child's legs and smiled brightly, "it is a girl" she announced softly. Neteyam sniffled as he looked over Elä's shoulder and admired his newborn daughter.
A girl. Eywa has blessed Elä with a baby girl, a future Tsahík. Her daughter. Elä thanked Eywa for blessing her and Neteyam with a daughter, a child to rule after them. Her heart felt so full it might burst, but whether or not she was to die right here the only thing she could focus on, was the newborn daughter in her arms. The baby slowly stops her crying and when she opens her eyes and gazes up at Elä, eyes wide. Elä and Neteyam stared back at the infant, lost in her features that they realized she was a splitting image of both her parents.
Neteyam grabbed ahold of the infants queue and Elä did the same. Elä removed her queue from Neteyam's as a hiss left his lips at the pull. Now at birth, the mother and infant are to create tsaheylu. So Elä lightly attached her queue to the baby's and the bond was created. The baby cooed at her mother. Neteyam smiled as the bond was complete. Pulling apart their queues, Neteyam and Elä went back to admiring their newborn.
The baby's skin was a dark blue with light blue stripes, her hair was a beautiful ink color, bioluminescent spots decorated her skin, the baby's eyes were a mix of white and yellow. She was definitely special. Elä felt a wave of exhaustion overcome her, so Neteyam lifted Elä up carefully and carried her over to the bed mat that was covered in furs, pillows and blankets.
"I love you Elä, rest. I'll clean you up and the baby and then break the news to our family" Neteyam said as he kissed Elä on the forehead, Elä nodded and drifted off the sleep.
Neteyam took the baby from Elä's grasp and cradled her to his chest as he began cleaning up the pod. He then cleaned up Elä and had put on a more comfortable outfit and then he cleaned up the baby.
Neteyam stepped out of the pod and saw his family and hers waiting patiently. His family and Elä's looked at him waiting for him to say something.
"It's a girl" Neteyam voiced with tears brimming his eyes, everyone gathered around to congratulate Neteyam on becoming a father. Jake hugged his son, but they pulled away from each other when they saw Adaku inspecting his newborn sister.
Neytiri was talking to him softly since the infant had fallen asleep. Everyone was enamored by the small bundle of joy.
Soon enough after showing the baby to his family and hers, Neteyam went back into the Pod with Adaku this time.
Neteyam joined Elä's side and planted a soft kiss on her forehead, which she woke up to. "Hi" she whispered softly, Neteyam smiled, "you did so well my love. Everyone loves our daughter already" he chuckled.
Elä smiled, Neteyam sat on the edge of the bed with Adaku on the other side of Elä. Neteyam helped Elä sit up against the pillows and held out her arms for her baby. So Neteyam handed the baby to Elä and watched as his mate cradle the infant to her chest.
"What are we gonna call her?" Neteyam asked softly, Elä smiled, "Adikia... will be her name" Neteyam's heart swelled with love as he watched his mate with the infant.
Neteyam looked at Adaku as he saw him looking at the baby in curiosity, "Adaku meet your new baby tsmuke... Adikia" Elä's smiled brightened as the name of her daughter was finally given. The baby opened her mixed colored eyes at the mention of her name and cooed loudly at the people around her.
Adikia made fussy noises and Elä had adjusted her so that the baby could nurse. Adaku laid down, tucked away into his mothers side while Elä was breastfeeding Adikia. Neteyam admired his mate and his two children. He was happy. He was home.
After a long thirteen hours, the little baby girl was born out of blood, sweat, and tears. This was the birth of Adikia, this was a new bead on Neteyam's songcord, and Elä's.

A small piece of a bigger project I'm working on. Basically how my OC would save her brother. Heavy spoilers
Neteyam Lives
Tumblr media
My brain almost couldn't comprehend what was happening right now. Neteyam, my big brother, was bleeding out in my lap. His hand clutched mine, feeling clammy. I couldn't tell if it was from the water or his wound. His breath was fast and shallow. I could hear his lungs shuttering. His heart was slowing. Under all the voices of my family, the racing of my own heart, and the crashing of the waves, that’s all I could hear—his heart. Neteyam’s heart is a sound that always brought peace to my life. The Sky People are taking that away from me right now. His grip keeps slipping. He’s gasping. Look at me, Nateyam. It’s ok. You’re going to be ok. A hand rested on my shoulder. Whipping around, Tsireya had a sad look in her eyes. They wear filled with tears. I could feel my eyes start to burn. No. No, he can’t. He’s not going to die!
“Dad… I wanna go home!” Neteyam’s face pinched in pain. My breath shuddered, trying to keep my sobs down. This feeling of rocks in my chest was too much. Dad soothed Neteyam as best he could. His hands shook, too. I tapped his arm. Please, Dad. Do something! We locked eyes and he shook his head.
“I can’t, baby.” I heaved a sob, my throat going raw. An Ikran's cry sounded from above, but I couldn’t look up.
“No!” Mom was here. I watched her collapse near me, hands finding mine and Neteyam’s. "No, no, ,no, no…" Mom kept repeating. Her hands pressed tightly to his wound and he cried. Neteyam. His heart was slowing even more. Why do these people keep hurting us? All this pain because the Sky People killed their land and want ours? They can have it! Take it all! Just leave my family alone. My brother doesn’t deserve this.
"Mo, Mo'teya. Y- You can help him!" Lo'ak reached over and grabbed my four arms. His eyes had a wild look, scared, sad, and hopefully all at once. Everyone looked at us. "You did it in the forest once, we watched you! You saved the syaksyuk without even trying!" The syaksyuk? That was years ago. I haven't been forced to do such a thing in so long. "My daughter, what is he saying?" Mom gasped at me. Could I? It didn't always work. In the lab, many Na'vi died because I failed to revive them. What would my parents say when they realize I can pull someone from Eway's arms? There is no plant to connect to from this rock, no connection to Eywa. I can't- "N-N-No, Mo. Don't," Neteyam croaked. His breathing was beginning to grow shallow and rapid. Only Neteyam knew how harshly reviving a whole person affected me. Only my brother would tell me not to save him. Fuck everyone else. I'm doing this. I don't care if my family ends up abandoning me. I'm doing this. I reached over and pulled Lo'ak's knife from him. Lo'ak reached out and pulled Mom away.
"What are you doing, Mo'teya? What are you doing?" Mom refused to let go of Neteyam's hand. I ignored her, crawling on top of my brother. His chest was drenched in blood, the smell mixing with the water. The water. "Mo, get off! Mo?" Dad tried to pull on my shoulders. "M-Mo, no," Neteyam begged. His hand covered mine, still pressed into his wound. I pulled away from Neteyam and Dad. They needed to shut up and let me concentrate. Taking a big breath, I sliced deep into my palm with Lo'ak's blade. Everyone yelled out while I hissed. This hurt. Fuck, I don't remember this hurting so bad. Blood ran down my hand and onto Neteyam's chest. At the same time, I could feel my chest tightening and my head growing full. So my body remembers. Good. "Shit, Mo," Lo'ak kept my mother from pulling me to her. She choked on her breath, eyes wide. "Lo'ak! Release me!"
I dropped Lo'ak's knife and brought my other hand to my mouth. This was going to hurt more. The shock is wearing off from my left hand. I breathed deep, letting air expand my body, before biting down on my palm. Shit, shit, shit. Yep. This hurt more. So much more. I let go and sniffed. Tears welled up in my eyes again. Please, Eway, let this work. Let me pull another from you. Let me keep my brother. I watched as Neteyam's breath slowed. His chest shook, struggling to fill with air. We held eye contact. His soft eyes pleaded with me. I couldn't figure out whether it was to save him or let him go. I smiled, trying to calm him. All I could do was wait till his heart stopped and he entered Eway's land. Then, his heart thumped for the last time. His eyes held mine as Neteyam himself faded away, leaving empty pits of yellow. Someone, probably Mom, screamed behind me. Now, it's time.
I dug my palm into Neteyam's wound, my blood mixing with his. I reached over and put my hand in the water. Water is a giver and taker of life. Water itself could be used as a direct connection to Eway, like a tree or an animal. This would be my entry point. Get into the connection and cut off the transfer of energy. My family tried to call my attention to them, but Lo'ak and Tsireya kept them away. I ignored all of them, closing my eyes. I needed to clear my head. Calm. Be calm. Breath. In. Out.
In.
Out.
In.
Out. Now count.
One. A bright light flashed behind my eyelids. I could hear voices, so many it was overwhelming. Some called out my name. Some laughed and cheered, and some gasped and sobbed. My hands tingled and burned, half from the power surging in my body, half from the nerves screaming in pain. I couldn't see anything, yet. This was the easy part, just getting in there. I need to find Neteyam before he moves too far out of my reach.
Two. The bright light faded into the forest, and the familiar smell made me want to cry. Bugs buzzed in my ears, animals made their calls. Water was running not far to my left. I walked towards it, hearing Neteyam cheer. Brushing a leaf out of my way, I found my brother, laughing at the fish in the pond. He was smiling so brightly, full of nothing but joy. It was startling to see, compared to the pained and scared look I had just witnessed. “Mo’teya? What are you doing here?” Neteyam had finally noticed me. His eyes blew wide and he seemed concerned. Did he not know what was going on? I reached out a hand, waiting for him to take it. He stared, puzzled. “What is it?” I just shook my head and bobbed my hand. He needed to take my hand so we can get out of here. “Mo, I don’t know what you want. You should go bac-” “Neteyam! Shut up and take my hand!” I couldn't with him right now. I watched Neteyam’s face pale and his mouth pop open. He had never heard my voice before. Funny the first words he hears from me is for him to shut up. “O-Okayyyy. Since when could you speak?” I ignored him and pulled him away from the water. His hand felt warm in mine like this was just a normal day at home. My palms still screamed and burned, so I was still connected to Neteyam. Lo’ak and Tsireya are doing a good job. “Whatever happens, don’t let go.”
Breath in. Breath out. Two.
My eyes slid shut again, after taking the forest in once more. "Mo, I don't like this. Let me find Dad, we gotta tell them you can talk!" I squeezed Neteyam's hand tight as the lights started to flash again. My heart raced and Neteyam's grip turned into hot lightning. I flinched but didn't let go. The forest sounds and smells disappeared slowly and were replaced with voices again. Slowly, I could hear waves crashing. Warm hands cover my shoulders, arms, and hands. Someone said my name over and over again, a whisper. The light slowly faded. Voices one by one disappeared.
One.
I slowly opened my eyes. Neteyam's bright yellow eyes stared back.

Insufferable - Chapter One
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Neteyam x Oc
Synopsis: After years of bitter rivalry and endless clashes, Neteyam and Ainai reluctantly work together on a high-stakes mission. As they navigate treacherous obstacles and unexpected dangers, they begin to discover surprising layers to each other's personalities. Slowly, the walls they've built around themselves start to crumble, giving way to an unexpected connection. Will they be able to put aside their past grievances and embrace their growing feelings, or will their shared history prove to be an insurmountable barrier?
WC: 2.1k
A/N: This chapter will basically be a load of information to start off their journey. This is an enemies-to-lovers trope where they will maintain their snarky combats even when they are all lovey-dovey. The first few chapters will be building up toward their mission which starts off their romance.
Na'vi Compendium: tsahik- spiritual leader, Olo’eyktan- clan leader, paskalin- honey, sa'nok- mother, yawntutsyìp- darling/little loved one
⇨ Series Masterlist ⇦
The whole clan has gathered to celebrate Tiwell and Koxa’s blessing from Eywa, me. I’ve just been born after several scares I put my mother through while she was pregnant. I remember being adorned with the finest cloths and drowned in jewelry specially made for newborns. At one point I started to cry from all the loud noises that surrounded me. So many people whose faces I would yet be introduced to come up to my parents to congratulate them. When I was old enough I eventually asked my parents why my birth was made into a big deal. Other babies who were born later than me would not have such a big party as I did. Of course, there were mini what our leader would call, “baby showers,” that replaced the big parties. I never understood why they would call it a baby shower back on Earth. I eventually came to the conclusion that it was due to showering the baby with love, affection, and gifts rather than actual water. They eventually explain that my birth had a big celebration because the Tsahik had been receiving signs of my birth years before my mother, Koxa, was pregnant. The only other time she had signs like that was for Neteyam, our leader’s child. It also helps that my parents are close friends with the Sullys. That family made sure that this party was big and boastful, as it was for their own child. This paved the way for my long-lasting friendships with their children.
⊲──✿──⊳
My mother pushed me forward, “Ainai, these kids are our Olo’eyktan’s children.” I wave in an anxious manner. I have met Mr. and Mrs. Sully before when I was just old enough to talk, but I have never interacted with their children before.
One girl gently waves back while the boy beside her keeps his gaze trained on the floor. They both look around the same age as me while the other boy next to his father looks about a year older. The older one kept his gaze fixed on me, he had an air of authority around him. This confused me a lot because he was as small as the rest of us. From there on, these people would come to be like extended family all except for one boy.
⊲──✿──⊳
“Isn’t this the prettiest flower you’ve ever seen,” I shove a tiny blue flower into Kiri’s face.
She takes the flower and twirls it between her fingers, “It is very pretty, it is like the color of your skin.”
We continue to fiddle with the new flower I found. Kiri is right, it is very similar to my shade of tone. It was near a river and looked to be the only survivor left along its little flower bed. The rest were trampled from what seemed like Thanator footprints.
“Look at what I found!”
Kiri and I turn towards the voice to find Neteyam holding a basket filled to the brim. Every step he takes seems to tip the contents over the edge, the ground ends up scattered with flowers. When he reaches us he dumps the flowers onto the ground in front of our legs still damp from the morning dew. An array of resplendent floras are all mixed in a messy pile in front of our feet.
“Wow, Nete! These are the best flowers I have ever seen in this forest.” Kiri stands up from the place next to me and starts shifting through the pile in search of the very best for her crafts. I stay rooted to my spot, pouting as Neteyam shows me up in yet another little hobby of mine.
“Nai these are for you too, you are free to pick whichever you like.”
I huff and turn away quickly to start the trek back home through the forest, “No thanks, I don’t want those weeds.”
Neteyam follows me quickly, since he is a year older everything seems to come easily for him. It is starting to get on my nerves.
“Where are you going?”
“I’m finding someone who will appreciate my gift.”
“You have to come back, I promised that I would look after you and the others,” Neteyam attempts to grab onto my arm, “you are being dramatic.”
I gasp and turn around to look at him, “Am not!”
“Are too,” he says in a “matter of fact" tone. This only served to further irritate me, and I found my eyes watering a bit. Before he could notice, I throw my flower on the ground and storm off back to the village.
⊲──✿──⊳
“Keep only three fingers on the bow Ainai, not four,” Mr. Sully explains while fixing my grip. I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my training lately, it just felt so unnatural the way we held our bows. It would feel so much more stable if I could hold it with four fingers instead of three. It doesn’t help that my ring finger could barely hold onto the heavy bow as is.
I could hear a snicker in the background and I immediately lose all confidence in myself. I angrily turn around, “What seems to be so funny?”
Neteyam straightens up and grins, “How do you expect to fight with us if you cannot even hold the weapon correctly.”
“At least when I shoot, my arrow actually hits the target-”
“Enough, both of you,” Mr. Sully removes the bows from both of us and sets them down leaning on a tree, “none of you should be insulting the other when neither has successfully mastered this simple technique.”
Both Neteyam and I held our gazes to the grass below us, neither of us saying a word. I twiddle my fingers lightly. I always hated getting him angry because it came from a place of disappointment. My parents worked hard to get me the opportunity to train with our leader and his son. So when I mess up I take it to heart a little more than others, because I know that I could be replaced with another Na’vi more skillful than me. I will not be able to surpass Neteyam if I am to train with another warrior. Not that any of them are not a master in their field, Mr. Sully is just the best as they come. Since Neteyam is training by him, I have to be trained by him too if I wish to become as good, or better yet, the best.
“I’m sorry Mr. Sully-”
“I’m sorry sir.”
Jake watches his kids for a moment and heaves a sigh, “You both are dismissed, we will be adding an extra day of training to try to fix the mistakes we seem to continuously have.”
“Yes sir,” I say.
I grab my bow and knock Neteyam’s out of his reach so he would have to bend down to retrieve it. While I walk away I hear his grunt of displeasure from my actions and I try my hardest to push back a smile that tries to creep up on my face.
“That wasn’t very nice,” Kiri says while she catches up to my stride. She had a bunch of flowers in her hair so she probably came from the flower field not too far from here. Kiri always had something interesting going on about her. The other day she made a crown out of a bunch of sticks for each and every one of us. This little quirk of hers was probably my favorite thing about her. She loves making crafts and especially loves to gift her family and friends with them.
“He deserves it, he got us in trouble,” I counter.
“You both always go at it, almost as bad as he is with Lo’ak.”
I puff out my chest, “That is because Lo’ak is just as smart as I am and he’s jealous he’s not smart like us!”
Kiri playfully bumps my shoulder with hers, “I’m sure when we get older you both will be as thick as thieves!”
“What does “Thick as thieves mean”?”
“Like, um, well Dad says it's when you are really close with someone like best friends.”
“Then why would we be thick, and why would we steal,” I question. The Sully family is always saying these weird sayings from Earth. Some are common sense while the others perplex even the brightest minds among the clan.
“Oh hush-” Kiri pushes me forward and we erupt in a fit of giggles.
We finally arrive at the village and I leave her side to enter my home. Inside I find my mother cooking and my dad nowhere to be seen.
“Welcome home paskalin, the food will be ready soon.” My mother continues to move around in the kitchen while I take in the aroma. The most noticeable note is the scent of fish clinging to the air. Before entering too deep into the house I set my bow off to the side. My mother hates when my father and I leave any weapons around the house. She says it makes it seem as though we are a messy family and do not respect our surroundings. In our defense, most of the guests we invite over are the Sully’s, and they have weapons everywhere.
The front door opens and my father walks in, “I’m back, I was making some quick conversation with Jake.”
“Quick is not the word I would use for when the two of you speak but I digress,” my mother pecks him on the cheek and continues adding the finishing touches to our dinner. She is extremely skillful when dealing with any kind of meat and fish. I bet that if I gave her one vegetable from our garden that she could make a whole meal out of it.
I move towards the cabinets to take out some plates to start setting up the table. To start off, I set down three plates near each other at the end of the table. My sa’nok comes with a plate of fish and sets one down at each of our spots. A lot of the Omaticaya people, my people, usually eat on the floor. They would have mats to soften the ground and designate where a person could sit. My family has a table and chairs just like the Sully’s, we got the idea from them. My mother would admire the intricate woven patterns that the wood of the table would exhibit in their home. Eventually, she had my dad learn how to build one and we all got to carve its designs together. This happened last year when I turned the appropriate age to use a hunting knife. We were singing while making hearts and all other kinds of symbols into the wooden exterior.
“Momma, do you think I’ll be good as Nok and the others when it comes to combat?”
Nok is a slightly older guy in our clan, he has a couple of years on Neteyam and I. They both often get into arguments even though they barely see one another. Nok already went through the process of getting an ikran. He got his banshee at age 13, which makes him one of the youngest in the clan to complete this ritual. He always rubs this fact in Neteyam’s face, he says that he will probably get his ikran when he is old with gray hair. It is a little mean but it did make me giggle out loud, much to Neteyam’s dismay. That is probably what made him dislike me even more, other than the fact that I am constantly in competition with him for his sempul’s approval. I have four years until I become the same age as Nok. This means I have only three years if I want to break his record as the youngest in our clan to complete the ritual. He used to be a friend of mine who would include me in his friend group’s hang-out sessions.
They never approved of me bringing Kiri and Lo’ak, they said they were too young. This made no sense to me because I was the same age as them. After a bit of an argument, I went home crying and made a vow to never hang out with them again. Kiri and Lo’ak are my best friends and I am not going to let some old people exclude them from things. They talk as though being young is a bad thing like we had a say for when we are born.
My dad finishes his plate of food and moves to get mine and my mother’s, “You won’t be as good as them, you’ll be better yawntutsyip.”
This brings a bright smile to my face, I will prove my worth in this clan.
He’ll see, they all will.

another excerpt from this fic i’m writing LMAO brought to u by reflections by the neighborhood
Neteyam found her sitting on a log well past eclipse, whittling what looked like a child’s toy. silently, he crept up to her, trying his best not to disturb her. as he drew nearer, he saw her ears perk up, her shoulders tensed then. she stood quickly, hand reaching for her knife. neteyam walked into the light of the moon with his hands out in front of him, palms forward in surrender.
she hissed at him before turning her back to him.
“have i done something to upset you?” he asked, voicing the thought that had been plaguing him for weeks.
she scoffed. rolling her shoulders back she turned around to face him, a scowl on her face once more. she took a step forward and neteyam tensed, standing taller under her scrutinizing gaze. slowly, she circled him as if he were her prey and he let her. she picked up one of his arms, examining it. he made no move to stop her. neteyam felt her fingers ghost across his shoulder blades and he fought to suppress the shudder her touch caused him.
she rounded on him, eyes softening the tiniest bit when she found the star shaped scar on his chest. she reached for it, hesitating just before his skin. Neteyam wrapped his fingers around her wrist, pulling her hand the rest of the way to his chest. she brushed her fingers across the raised skin, frowning deeper.
“they did this to you.” it wasn’t a question.
neteyam answered anyway, “yes.”
she scowled at that, baring her fangs at no one.
“what did it feel like?” she asked.
“what did what feel like?”
“dying,” she clarified.
Neteyam thought for a moment, recalling the evening he almost became one with eywa.
“terrifying,” he said, deciding that was the only accurate way to describe it.
finally, she looked at him, eyes searching his. neteyam drowned in yellow-green, getting lost in her intense gaze. her eyes flicked back down to the wound still covered by her fingers. locking eyes with his hands wrapped around her wrist.
“i had nightmares,” she said, voice barely a whisper.
neteyam drew in a breath, unsure of what to say.
“of this exact thing… of you dying… somewhere far from me where i could not see it— could not help.”
“there is little to be done when shot through the heart.”
she hissed lowly at that, curling her fingers ever so slightly.
“they will pay for what they have done to you,” she announced, meeting his gaze again. there he saw many emotions swimming behind her eyes. too many stories he didn’t know, wasn’t there for. too many burdens she bore alone. neteyam wanted— needed to ease her suffering. somehow. someway.
“we will end this war… together,” neteyam responded.
“together,” she echoed, content with that.

Spicy Thoughts🌶️💭:
Okay.. so I am shy to be open about any or all ideas regarding smut but like Imma just go ahead and throw this out there— so I just got this (possible) weird ass idea. Please don’t judge..
….
What if…
Fem human oc or reader (aged up of course) was like in the middle of being completely fucked dumb by male Na’vi (could be anyone that you think fits) and he takes notice of her rosary that she tends to wear a lot ever since she came to pandora. Anyway so he takes notice of the rosary and smirks teasingly with a mischievous gleam in his eyes while he’s pounding into her relentlessly, so he grabs her by the rosary but being careful not to snap it in half and he whispers into her ear…
“Who’s your god now?”
….
Yes I know.. it may be weird but like I just thought it was really hot because my brain is weird like that… sooo yeah. Also I am not an expert on writing smut, please bear with me 🫣😅. I am a very kinky person.. been doing a lot of research on kinks lately.. so don’t judge me please
So the big question remains… what do y’all think? ~ Snow
